플라즈마내 입자의 하전특성에 관한 연구 (Monodisperse Particle Charging Characteristics in a DC-plasma)

  • 공정 플라즈마내에서 입자의 거동은 하전되는 입자의 극성과 하전량에 따르게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 플라즈마내에서 입자의 거동을 이해하기 위한 기초 작업으로 입자의 하전 특성을 측정하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 단분산 입자는 직경 0.05$\mu\textrm{m}$, 0.07$\mu\textrm{m}$, 0.1$\mu\textrm{m}$, 0.2$\mu\textrm{m}$ 으로 이들 입자를 DC-공기 플라즈마내에 주입하여 이들의 하전량과 하전 극성 변화를 Faraday Cup을 이용하여 측정하였다. 본 실험에서 입자의 하전량과 하전 극성은 주입 입자 의 크기와 농도 및 플라즈마 발생조건 즉, 반응 압력, 전압 등에 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었 으며 입자 당 103~105의 평균 하전 수를 갖음이 관찰되었다.

Transition Control of Standby and Operation Modes of Wireless Charging System for Inspection Robots

  • To solve the problems in the contact charging of inspection robots, a wireless charging system for inspection robots and a control strategy are introduced in this paper. Circuit models of a wireless power system with a compound compensation circuit and a three-phase Class-D resonant inverter are set up based on circuit theory. An output voltage control method based on the equal spread regulation of the phase difference between adjacent phases and the parameter correction method in the primary compound compensation circuit are proposed. The dynamic characteristics of the key parameters varying with the secondary coil position are obtained to further investigate the adaptive location scheme during the access and exit processes of moving robots. Combining the output voltage control method and the adaptive location scheme, a transition control strategy for the standby and operation modes of the wireless charging systems for inspection robots is put forward to realize the system characteristics including the low standby power in the standby mode and the high receiving power in the operation mode. Finally, experiments are designed and conducted to verify the correctness of the theoretical research.

  • This study was designed to seek information on the heat charging and discharging characteristics of a multi-capsule type LTES(Latent Heat of Fusion Thermal Energy Storage) system, and especially prediction equation of outlet water temperature from the system. During heat charging process, the water temperature in the LTES tank increased very slowly in comparison with a predicted one and was kept near the melting point of the PCM for about 25 minutes. During heat discharging process, the latent heat discharging period of the outlet water temperature became longer as the inlet water temperature became higher and/or mass flow rate became lower. The dimensionless temperature of the outlet water was predicted by linking three equations of ${\theta}=1.1Exp(-{\tau}/0.82)$, ${\theta}=-0.06{\tau}+0.3$, ${\theta}=0.8Exp(-{\tau}/1.4)$ ($r^2{\leq}0.88$) depending on discharging period regardless of mass flow rates on the case of the inlet water temperature at $21.5^{\circ}C$.

전기싸이클론의 집진 성능 해석 (Numerical analysis of collection performance for electro-cyclone)

  • The characteristics of flow and particle collection for an electrocyclone with a central wire inside a high efficiency Stairmand cyclone was numerically analysed. Turbulent flow field was modeled by the Reynolds stress model and solved with an FVM code FLUENT. Particle motion and in-situ charging were simultaneously solved by a Lagrangian integration with time. The flow field obtained was in good agreement with experiments in the outer region. The characteristics of collection enhancement due to electric force were well manifested and well explained based on first principles. The effect of the in-situ charging process was very similar to the case of a simplified assumption of saturated charging, and the effect of the hopper was proved negligible.

Approach to Characterization of a Diode Type Corona Charger for Aerosol Size Measurement

  • A semi-empirical method to determine the electrostatic characteristics of a diode type corona aerosol charger based on ion current measurement and electrostatic charging theory was presented. Results from mathematical model were in agreement with those from experimental investigation of the charger. Current-voltage characteristics, $N_{i}t$ product and charge distribution against aerosol size were obtained. It was shown that the space charge was significant and must be taken into account at high ion number concentration and low flow rate. Additionally, significant particle loss was evident for particles smaller than 20 nm in diameter where their electrical mobility was high. Increase in charging efficiency may be achieved by introducing surrounding sheath flow and applying AC high voltage. Overall, the approach was found to be useful in characterizing the aerosol charger.

  • In recent years, the Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT-LCD) is used in a variety of products as an interfacing device between human and them. Since TFT-LCDs have trend toward larger Panel sizes and higher spatial and/or gray-scale resolution, pixel charging characteristic is very important for the large panel size and high resolution TFT-LCD pixel characteristics. In this paper, both data line precharging method and line time extension (LiTEX) method is applied to Pixel Design Array Simulation Tool (PDAST) and the pixel charging characteristics of TFT-LCD array were simulated, which were compared with the results calculated by both PDAST In which the conventional device model of a-Si TFTs and gate step method is implemented.

  • Miniature Joule-Thomson cryocoolers have been widely used for rapid cooling of infrared detectors, probes of cryosurgery, thermal cameras, missile homing head and guidance system, due to their special features of simple configuration, compact structure and rapid cool-down characteristics. The cool-down time, the temperature at the cold end, the running time and the gas consumption are the important indicators of the performance of the J-T cryocooler. In this study, the initial cool-down stages of the J-T cryocooler were investigated by numerical simulations. The results show the effects of the initial charging pressures of gas on the cool-down time and the temperature at the cold end and the gas consumptions.

전기집진기의 10 nm 급 초미세 나노입자의 하전 및 집진 특성 (Characteristics of Charging and Collection of 10-nm-Class Ultrafine Nanoparticles in an Electrostatic Precipitator)

  • 전기집진에서의 10 nm 급 초미세 나노입자의 하전 및 집진 특성을 파악하였고, 나노입자의 확산효과와 비교해 보았다. 나노입자의 하전율과 확산손실 효과의 지배력에 따라 전기집진기에서의 나노입자 집진효율이 결정되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 10nm 급 영역에서는 입자 크기가 작아질수록 지속적으로 집진효율이 감소하였다. 10 nm 이하의 영역에서는 나노입자의 부분적 하전효과가 전기집진기 내의 확산 손실 효과보다 지배적인 것을 알 수 있었다. 10 nm 이하의 나노입자에 대하여 집진효율 실험 결과가 단극 확산 하전 이론을 적용한 입자하전율 계산 결과와도 잘 일치하였다.

  • Many toxic pesticides as aqueous-base sprays are dispensed for protection of food crops from pests into farm fields. When dispensed with conventional nozzles, a large portion of the spray is often lost by airborne drifts of droplets away and lack of deposition onto the plants due to rapid gravitational settling of droplets to the soil beneath. And target deposition efficiencies poorer than 20% are often encountered in agricultural pesticides. An electrostatic spraying technology offers a very favorable means to increasing pesticides droplets deposition onto biological surfaces of living crops. In this paper a corona type spray nozzle, utilizing a set of corona charging devices and a pulsed droplet-charging voltage applied, has been proposed and tested its potential experimentally. As a result, it exhibits a large current deposition of aqueous pesticide sprays on the sensing target, which, however, promise to be as one of the effective electrostatic spraying nozzle.

폴리염화비닐(PVC)의 코로나 대전현상에 관한 연구 (A study on the Corona Electrification Phenomena for Polyvinyl chloride (PVC))

  • In this thesis, the electrification phenomenon was studied by measurement of charging current and discharging current in polymers when the carriers generated by corona discharge were supplied to the surface of polymers. Corona charging current of PVC, polar and noncrystalline polymer, was larger than that of nonpolar and amorphous polymers. Corona charging current on the specimen of naked upper surface (CIM) was larger than charging current on the specimen of electrode made. Carrier injection differed from interfacial phase of polymer surFace. The transfer phenomenon vaned with chemical structure of polymer and then the polar effect of PVC was remarkable because of large electron affinity of Cl. In the characteristics of discharging current of PVC, the abnormal current was observed. It was supposed that this phenomena presented the trap of injected carriers in PVC and that static electricity phenomenon was generated by trap.
