Prediction methods on tunnel-excavation induced surface settlement around adjacent building

  • With the rapid development of urban underground traffic, the study of soil deformation induced by subway tunnel construction and its settlement prediction are gradually of general concern in engineering circles. The law of soil displacement caused by shield tunnel construction of adjacent buildings is analyzed in this paper. The author holds that ground surface settlement based on the Gauss curve or Peck formula induced by tunnel excavation of adjacent buildings is not reasonable. Integrating existing research accomplishments, the paper proposed that surface settlement presents cork distribution curve characters, skewed distribution curve characteristics and normal distribution curve characteristics when the tunnel is respectively under buildings, within the scope of the disturbance and outside the scope of the disturbance. Calculation formulas and parameters on cork distribution curve and skewed distribution curve were put forward. The numerical simulation, experimental comparison and model test analysis show that it is reasonable for surface settlement to present cork distribution curve characters, skewed distribution curve characteristics and normal distribution curve characteristics within a certain range. The research findings can be used to make effective prediction of ground surface settlement caused by tunnel construction of adjacent buildings, and to provide theoretical guidance for the design and shield tunnelling.

GRNNM과 GA를 이용한 Rating Curve의 유도 (The Derivation of Rating Curve using GRNNM and GA)

  • The technique which connects Generalized Regression Neural Networks Model(GRNNM) with Genetic Algorithm (CA) is used to derive rating curve in the river basin. GRNNM architecture consists of 4 layers ; input, hidden, summation and output layer. GA method is applied to estimate the optimal smoothing factor when GRNNM is trained. The derivation of rating curve using GRNNM is considered different kinds of hydraulic characteristics such as water stage, area and mean velocity and is applied two stage stations; Sunsan and Jungam. Furthermore, it is compared with conventional curve-fitting method. Through the training and validation performance, the results show that GRNNM is much superior as compared to the conventional curve-fitting method.

  • In order to determine procedures for a, pp.opriate model selection of technological growth curves, numerous time series that were representative of growth behavior were collected according to data characteristics. Three different growth curve models were fitted onto data sets in an attempt to determine which growth curve models achieved the best forecasts for types of growth data. The analysis of the results gives rise to an a, pp.oach for selecting a, pp.opriate growth curve models for a given set of data, prior to fitting the models, based on the characteristics of the goodness of fit test.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Type Motor varying with magnetization curve of electrical steel interpolated with several method in the high field region. The data of magnetization curve of electrical steel given by the steel maker is not enough in order to analysis the characteristics by menas of FEM. Especially, the core in the bridge part have a severe saturation because the bridge width is narrow to reduce the flux leakage produced by the permanent magnet. This paper make the three kinds of magnetization curve by extrapolation and then the motor is analyzed by using these magnetization curve. The motor parameters are compared to explain the effects of magnetization curve.

  • 원 영상에 근접한 색채 재현을 위한 선형 변환을 이용한 영상의 컬러 보정은 컬러 공간의 비 선형성으로 인해 색의 왜곡 현상이라는 문제가 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해 선형 이론인 임의의 평면상에 주어진 자료점들로 구성되는 베지어 곡선이 사용되어 왔다. 그러나, 이 베지어 곡선은 자료점의 개수에 따라 차수가 증가하게 되므로 수치적 계산상의 많은 제약을 받게 된다. 본 논문에서는 각 구간에서나 전체 구간에서의 차수가 3차이면서 베지어 곡선의 특성을 갖는 "3중첩 구간적 베지어 3차 곡선"(TPBC Curve; Triplicated Piecewise Bezier Cubic Curve)를 이용하였다. 이에 따른, TPBC-곡선과 20차 베지어 곡선을 이용하였을 때와 비교하여 컬러 보정 시 발생하는 왜곡 현상, 그리고 좁은 영역의 컬러 보정으로 인한 작업량의 증가를 감소시킨 결과를 보여주고자 한다. 보여주고자 한다.

건조 및 습윤과정에서 보은 화강암 풍화토의 불포화특성곡선 비교 (Comparative Study on Unsaturated Characteristic Curves of Boeun Granite Weathered Soil during Drying and Wetting Paths)

  • 보은 화강암 풍화토에 대한 불포화 특성을 조사하기 위하여 자동 흙-함수특성곡선 시험장치를 이용하여 건조 및 습윤과정에 따른 모관흡수력과 체적함수비를 측정하였다. 이를 토대로 van Genuchten(1980)의 방법을 이용하여 흙-함수특성곡선(SWCC)을 산정한 결과 유효포화도에 따른 모관흡수력은 S자형의 비선형적인 관계를 나타내며, 건조 및 습윤과정을 거치는 동안 이력현상이 발생되었다. Lu and Likos(2006)의 방법을 이용하여 흡입응력특성곡선(SSCC)을 산정한 결과 유효포화도가 낮은 경우 건조과정의 흡입응력은 일정하게 유지되나 습윤과정의 흡입응력은 증가하는 경향을 보인다. 그러나 유효포화도가 큰 경우에는 동일한 유효포화도에서 건조과정의 흡입응력이 습윤과정의 흡입응력보다 크게 발생되었다. 한편 계수추정방법의 하나인 van Genuchten(1980)의 방법을 이용하여 투수계수함수(HCF)를 산정한 결과 모관흡수력이 증가함에 따라 불포화 투수계수는 감소하며, 모관흡수력에 따른 불포화 투수계수의 감소 속도는 건조과정이 습윤과정보다 더 크게 발생됨을 알 수 있다.

차량 주행특성을 고려한 감속 완화곡선 설계방법 개발 (A Development of Design Method for Deceleration Transition Curve Based on Vehicle Driving Characteristics)

  • 고속도로 및 국도 등의 인터체인지 유출부에 대한 설계기준과 연구 내용은 주로 변이구간, 감속차로, 곡선반경, 유출각 및 노즈부의 형상 등 자동차와 도로 기하구조간의 운동역학적인 관점의 안전성 확보만 주요 관심사였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차량 주행속도 특성에 초점을 맞추어 첫째 현행 설계기준의 이론적 의미를 해석하고, 둘째, 유출부 완화곡선에서 차량의 주행속도 및 교통사고 특성을 살펴보았고, 셋째, 기존의 인터체인지 유출 램프부 최소곡선반경의 부적합성을 검토한 후 운전자의 완화 곡선부 주행특성에 맞는 새로운 완화곡선 설계방법을 제시하였고 그 결과를 산출하여 기존방법과 비교 검토한 결과 유출램프 완화 곡선부 설계속도 50km/h, 40km/h의 경우기존의 원심력과 구심력이 평형을 이루는 최소곡선반경에서 관성력이 커져 교통사고의 위험이 높아진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었고 새로이 제안한 감속주행 완화곡선에서는 기존의 완화곡선보다 관성력이 작아지고 곡선은 커져 기존보다 안전한 곡선으로 확인되었다.

  • Concrete track on the new railway lines of the existing roads are built on high ground, or less than 400m radius of the sharp curve sectors will occur. sharp curve sectors the rail and wheel friction, stick-slip due to the band of 1,000Hz or squeal noise occurs from the increase in civil complaints about noise is a real situation. In this study, discussed in previous studies, noise measurements for each radius of concrete track and frequency analysis, followed by the radius of the curve in order to investigate vibration characteristics of urban railway sector sharp curve radius less than 400m and 400m ~ 1,000 m further to the point selected track components(rails, sleepers, ballast) according to the vibration measurements and analysis of the frequency characteristics and the results were derived.

양산천 수위-유량관계 특성에 관한 현장관측 분석 (Analysis of Field Observations on Characteristics of Stage-Discharge Relationshiup for Yangsan River)

  • Derivation of stage-discharge relationship and characteristics for Yangsan river is presented in this paper. This research has been conducted as the second one after the first trial in 1997. The determination of discharge at a Yangsan river gauging was best made by measuring the flow velocities with a current meter and rod float. The rating curve obtained through 52 stage-discharge measurements on Yangsan river basin in 1999 is represented by Q=15.3540-140.6076H+182.44372H$^2$, which is discovered to be most excellent among other curves in reliability analysis. The observed stage-discharge data for Yangsan river was tested by HEC-RAS program, and reproduction of discharge by the induced curve was investigated and compared with the computational results. The rating curve of Yangsan river shows characteristics of Yangsan river more accurately compared with those separated in terms of water levels.

  • The behavior of an opening and the performance of support system depend upon the load-deformation characteristics of ground and support as well as of the manner and of timing of support installation. The load-deformation characteristics of ground and support are derived by the interaction between ground and support. The interaction between ground and support is qualitatively illustrated by a ground response curve. Also This is applicable to general tunnel. Consequently the stability of tunnel must be qualitatively investigated by a ground response curve and quantitatively adjudged by a numerical analysis for the reasonable design of tunnel.
