Objectives: To assess the effect and safety of transcranial direct-current stimulation (tDCS) in primary chronic insomnia. Methods: A one-month, double-blind, randomized, sham-controlled trial was performed. A total of 7 patients with primary chronic insomnia received tDCS using anodal (n=3), cathodal (n=2), or sham stimulation (n=2). They were followed up at 1 week and 1 month after treatment. The primary outcome measures included improvement in total sleep time (TST), sleep latency (SL), and sleep efficiency (SE) at 1 month follow-up. Results: TST and SE were improved with tDCS at 1 month follow-up in all patients (100%) of the anodal group, one (50%) of the cathodal group, and one (50%) of the sham group. tDCS improved SL at 1 month follow-up in two patients (67%) of the anodal group, one (50%) of the cathodal group, and none (0%) of the sham group. With respect to adverse events, transient itching sensation occurred in one patient of the anodal group. None of the other groups reported adverse events. Conclusions: Our results suggest that tDCS may be effective and safe for treatment of primary chronic insomnia. A larger controlled study needs to be further investigated.
This study was developing group counseling program for sexual education for Christian young adults. and its effects were proven. For this purpose, this study of unmarried Christian young adults ranging 30 from the age 20~35 years old who are attending church C and S located in city of C at Kyungnam province. The subject and control group each had 15 people who separately participated in this program once a week for 120 minutes, 12 times in total. The control group did not receive any feedback after the sessions. group counseling program for sexual education was based on Crabb's biblical counseling model and McMinn's cognitive therapy. Using 12 kinds of cognitive therapy techniques. for its effects were verified. used The sexual knowledge scale standardized model of a college student set by Jeon Gyungsook, Lee Hyoyoung, Lee Seonja, The sexual attitude scale standardized model for a college student set by Ho Seonmin, The sexual decision making scale developed by Sun Mikyung. The data analysis consisted of Cronbach's α test, χ2-test, Mann-Whitney U test, Friedman test, a χ nd Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The result of this study is improve the sexual knowledge, show the conservative tendency of sexual attitudes, and prove the increase in the ability to make responsible sexual decisions of Christian young adults. Following up, this study spreads awareness of the true meaning of sexual being as illustrated from the bible and implies a beneficial program within the church that promotes a healthy life and reconciliation between self, neighbors, and God in a life according to the purpose of creation and order.
In the case of two-dimensional analysis generally applied in the analysis of Earth Retaining Wall, mutual interference occurs due to earth pressure, when the excavation width is small, and in the section where the excavation width is small, and the resulting influence makes it difficult to secure reliability in the horizontal displacement of the retaining wall when performing 2-dimensional analysis in a section with a small excavation width. This study performed two-dimensional and three-dimensional finite element analyses on excavation depth (H) and excavation width (B) under various conditions for the H-pile earth wall, in the geological conditions of clayey soil, sandy soil, and weathered rock, and examined the relationship between excavation width and horizontal displacement according to each condition, to identify the boundary of the excavation width, which is the range of mutual interference caused by earth pressure. As a result, it was possible to clearly distinguish the analytical boundary according to the excavation width only in the clayey soils with relatively large horizontal displacement. It is concluded that it is reasonable to perform a 3D finite element analysis, which is similar to the actual behavior, if the excavation scale (B/H) is 2.0 or less, with the digging width less than 12 m at a digging depth of 10 m or less, and with the the one less than 24 m at a digging depth of 10 m or more, and that 2-dimensional finite element analysis may be used in cases where the excavation width is greater than 12 m when the excavation scale (B/H) is 2.0 or more and the excavation depth is 10 m or less, and the excavation width is greater than 24 m at an excavation depth of 10 m or more.
This paper deals with the legal meaning and issues of street performances. The key elements in the legal sense of street performances (or artistic performances) are 'public places' and 'artistic activities'. Therefore, as far as belongs to "artistic activities in public places", we can call them in principle as street performances regardless of its level of art, whether they are paid or not, size of performances or genre of artistic activities. Street performances are a way for anyone to freely participate and enjoy art by being performed on open places. In addition, street performances can be seen as more popular and democratic artistic acts than mainstream art culture in that anyone can become street performers. Although street performances are in vogue and becoming a universal cultural phenomenon, they do not appear to be legally organized yet. However, we don't have to strictly regulate street performances on the grounds that they are something different and special. Instead, they should let their street performances be freely performed and enjoyed in accordance with the constitutional law that guarantees the freedom of art or the freedom of artistic expression. Of course, it is necessary to modify the relevant laws on key issues raised regarding street performances. Finally, for street performances to be well established as cultural phenomenon, it should be harmonized that efforts to observe the law and orders by street performers, mature rituals and cultural tolerances of citizens who enjoy street performances, and efforts to realize the purpose of cultural countries and to promote street performances by governments.
The Cambodian People's Party swept all 125 assembly seats with 76.78% of the vote in 2018 general elections. The Cambodian National Rescue Party, having been dissolved by court, was excluded from the election and attempted to nullify the legitimacy of the election by demanding its supporters to boycott the election. The Cambodian People's Party launched a campaign encouraging to vote in a desperate need to thwart the boycott movement. The election then became an unprecedented kind of competition the winner of which is decided not by the percentage of the vote but by turnout. The Cambodian People's Party was the winner with the high turnout of 82.89%, securing the means to defend the legitimacy of the election. The potential supporters of the Cambodian National Rescue Party spread out with about a million voters switching to support the Cambodian People's Party. Over a half million invalid votes that unequivocally voiced opposition to the Cambodian People's Party were not sufficient to deny the legitimacy of the election. Having experienced the fierce competition in the 2013 general elections that threatened to end its rule, the Cambodian People's Party decided to secure its power in the upcoming election and executed a tactic designed to remove the rival party through legal means. Competition being removed, the Cambodian political system decayed back to hegemonic electoral authoritarianism from competitive electoral authoritarianism to which it had mad gradual progress through the general elections in the past.

The influence of rhenium (Re) and ruthenium (Ru) addition on the solidification and solute redistribution behaviors in advanced experimental Ni-base superalloys has been investigated. A series of model alloys with different levels of Re and Ru were designed based on the composition of Ni-6Al-8Ta and were prepared by vacuum arc melting of pure metallic elements. In order to identify the influence of Re and Ru addition on the thermo-physical properties, differential scanning calorimetry analyses were carried out. The results showed that Re addition marginally increases the liquidus temperature of the alloy. However, the ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ solvus was significantly increased at a rate of $8.2^{\circ}C/wt.%$ by the addition of Re. Ru addition, on the other hand, displayed a much weaker effect on the thermo-physical properties or even no effect at all. The microsegregation behavior of solute elements was also quantitatively estimated by an electron probe microanalysis on a sample quenched during directional solidification of primary ${\gamma}$ with the planar solid/liquid interface. It was found that increasing the Re content gradually increases the microsegregation tendency of Re into the dendritic core and ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ forming elements, such as Al and Ta, into the interdendritic area. The strongest effect of Ru addition was found to be Re segregation. Increasing the Ru content up to 6 wt.% significantly alleviated the microsegregation of Re, which resulted in a decrease of Re accumulation in the dendritic core. The influence of Ru on the microstructural stability toward the topologically close-packed phase formation was discussed based on Scheil type calculations with experimentally determined microsegregation results.

An increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters have been observed due to climate change. To better prepare for these, the MOIS (ministry of the interior and safety) announced a comprehensive plan for minimizing damages associated with natural disasters, including drought and heavy snowfall. The spatial-temporal pattern of snowfall is greatly influenced by temperature and geographical features. Heavy snowfalls are often observed in Gangwon-do, surrounded by mountains, whereas less snowfall is dominant in the southern part of the country due to relatively high temperatures. Thus, snow depth data often contains zeros that can lead to difficulties in the selection of probability distribution and estimation of the parameters. A generalized mixture distribution approach to a maximum snow depth series over the southern part of Korea (i.e., Changwon, Tongyeoung, Jinju weather stations) are located is proposed to better estimate a threshold (𝛿) classifying discrete and continuous distribution parts. The model parameters, including the threshold in the mixture model, are effectively estimated within a Bayesian modeling framework, and the uncertainty associated with the parameters is also provided. Comparing to the Daegwallyeong weather station, It was found that the proposed model is more effective for the regions in which less snow depth is observed.

Background/Aims Emerging evidence shows that the mechanism of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is associated with neurotrophic factors and tight junction proteins (TJPs). It is known that there are sex differences in the pathophysiology of IBS. The aim of the present study is to determine expression levels of neurotrophic factors, TJPs, and cytokines according to IBS subtype and sex. Methods From 59 IBS (33 IBS-constipation, 21 IBS-diarrhea, and 5 IBS-mixed) and 36 control patients, colonic mucosa mRNA expression levels of transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1), nerve growth factor (NGF), glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), and various TJPs were assessed by real-time polymerase chain reaction. Western blot was performed to determine levels of zonular occludens-1 (ZO-1). Serum levels of cytokines were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results TRPV1, GDNF, and NGF mRNA levels were significantly increased in those with IBS-constipation compared to those in controls (all P < 0.05). However, they showed no significant difference between those with IBS-diarrhea and controls. Expression level of TRPV1 correlated with that of GDNF (r = 0.741, P < 0.001) and NGF (r = 0.935, P < 0.001). ZO-1 RNA expression levels were lower (P = 0.021) in female IBS-diarrhea than those in controls, although they showed no significant differences between male IBS-diarrhea and controls. Serum IL-1β levels in female IBS were significantly higher than those of male IBS, especially in IBS-constipation (P < 0.001). Conclusion Our results suggest that neurotrophic factors and IL-1β are closely related to IBS-constipation and that decrease of ZO-1 is an important factor in female with IBS-diarrhea.

The consequences of wearing high heels can be different according to the heel height, gait speed, shoe design, heel base area, and shoe size. This study aimed to focus on the knee extension and flexion range of motion (ROM) during gait, which were challenged by wearing five different shoe heel types and two different self-selected gait speeds (comfortable and fast) as experimental conditions. Measurement standards of knee extension and flexion ROM were individually calibrated at the time of heel strike, mid-stance, toe-off, and stance phase based on the 2-minute video recordings of each gait condition. Seven healthy young women (20.7 ± 0.8 years) participated and they were asked to walk on a treadmill wearing the five given shoes at a self-selected comfortable speed (average of 2.4 ± 0.3 km/h) and a fast speed (average of 5.1 ± 0.2 km/h) in a random order. All of the shoes were in size 23.5 cm. Three of the given shoes were 9.0 cm in height, the other two were flat shoes and sneakers. A motion capture software (Kinovea 0.8.27) was used to measure the kinematic data; changes in the knee angles during each gait. During fast speed gait, the knee extension angles at heel strike and mid-stance were significantly decreased in all of the 3 high heels (p<0.05). The results revealed that fast gait speed causes knee flexion angle to significantly increase at toe-off in all five types of shoes. However, there was a significant difference in both the knee flexion and extension angles when the gait in stiletto heels and flat shoes were compared in fast gait condition (p<0.05). This showed that walking fast in high heels leads to abnormal knee ROM and thus can cause damages to the knee joints. The findings in this preliminary study can be a basis for future studies on the kinematic changes in the lower extremity during gait and for the analysis of causes and preventive methods for musculoskeletal injuries related to wearing high heels.

In order to characterize the mixing process of confluence for understanding the impacts of a river on the other river, it has been crucial to analyze the spatial mixing patterns for main streams depending on various inflow conditions of tributaries. However, most conventional studies have mostly relied upon hydraulic or water quality numerical models for understanding mixing pattern analysis of confluences, due to the difficulties to acquire a wide spatial range of in-situ data for characterizing mixing process. In this study, backscatters (or SNR) measured from ADCPs were particularly used to track sediment mixing assuming that it could be a surrogate to estimate the suspended sediment concentration. Raw backscatter data were corrected by considering the beam spreading and absorption by water. Also, an optical Laser diffraction instrument (LISST) was used to verify the method of acoustic backscatter and to collect the particle size distribution of main stream and tributary. In addition, image-based spatial distributions of sediment mixture in the confluence were monitored in various flow conditions by using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which were compared with the spatial distribution of acoustic backscatter. As results, we found that when acoustic backscatter by ADCPs were well processed, they could be proper indicators to identify the spatial patterns of the three-dimensional mixing process between two rivers. For this study, flow and sediment mixing characteristics were investigated in the confluence between Nakdong and Nam river.
