해양생물에 대한 $CO_2$의 영향을 실험하기 위한 문어의 이용 (Experimental Design of Octopus for $CO_2$ Effects on Marine Organisms)

  • $CO_2$를 해양에 격리 처리하기 위해서는 $CO_2$가 해양생태계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 $CO_2$의 해양생물영향실험에 있어 연체동물의 이용가능성을 모색하기 위한 연구로, 먼저 문어에 적합한 마취농도를 확립하고, 혈액을 채취하기 위한 케뉴레이션 방법 및 문어가 케뉴라를 탈착시키는 것을 방지하기 위한 구속 방법에 대해서 검토하였다. 그 결과 1) 문어에 적합한 마취제는 5.25% $MgCl_2\;6H_2O$인 것으로 나타났다. 2) 문어로부터 혈액채취를 위한 케뉴라 삽입 부위는 배대동맥이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 3) 케뉴라 보호를 위하여 플라스틱 넷트로 만든 구속 쳄버를 이용하는 것이 유용한 것으로 나타났다

Behavioral response of purpleback flying squid Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis (Mollusk; Cephalopod) to the flashlight artificial bait colors

  • This study aimed to know the response of deep-sea squid Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis to the light colors of the artificial bait. This experiment used the commercial artificial flashlight baits commonly sold in the fishing shop. The bait has several different light color combinations. The light colors were modified into several light colors by inactivating certain colors and used as treatments. The study is expected to be able to find flashlight bait's most effective color for squid fishing. We applied red-green, green, blue, and commercial bait lights in this study. Each treatment has 3 replications. The effect was expressed as the amount of squid caught. Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance. Results showed a significant effect on the number of squid catches. There was significantly different squid catches among the treatments. It indicates that this artificial flashlight bait could be developed to maximize squid catches. This finding can be used for the local fishermen's income and the squid fisheries development.

저층트롤을 이용한 동중국해 해역의 계절별 수산자원 현황 (Understanding the seasonal status of fisheries resource in the East China Sea by using bottom trawl)

  • This study was investigated in order to find composition and density of fisheries resource using bottom trawl in April, July, August, and November 2022 in the East China Sea. The average density of fisheries resource was estimated using the swept area method. As a result, 35 species were collected from the East China Sea. These included 21 fishes, six crustaceans, six cephalopods and two echinoderms. Seasonally, the average density of crustacean individuals per unit area were highest in November (692.1 inds./km2), while cephalopod individuals per unit area were highest in August (39.4 inds./km2). The average density of fish individuals per unit area were highest in August at 355.0 (inds./km2).

두족류에 의한 상괭이의 아니사키스 감염 (Anisakis Infection Relationship between finless porpoises, Neophocaena asiaeorientalis and Cephalopod in Korean Waters)

  • 본 연구는 서해안 새만금 방조제 내만에서 발견된 상괭이의 기생충 감염 사례 보고이다. 상괭이는 수컷으로 연령이 8세로 추정되었다. 기생충은 복강, 두개골 및 폐 등 총 3개 기관에서 3종류가 발견되었다. 복강내 선충은 Crassicauda sp.으로 추정되었다. 두개골내 흡충은 Nasitrema sp., 선충은 Pseudaliids 과에 속하는 폐충의 일종일 것으로 추정되었고 폐충은 폐 조직표본 현미경 검사에서도 발견되었다. 아니사키스 (Anisakis spp.) 는 발견되지 않았다.

부산 주변해역에서 출현하는 살살치(Scorpaena neglecta)의 식성 (Feeding Habits of Scorpaena neglecta in the Coastal Waters off Busan)

  • 2006년 1월에서 12월까지 부산주변해역에서 출현하는 살살치 478개체의 식성을 조사하였다. 살살치의 표준체장은 9.0~23.5 cm의 범위를 보였다. 살살치의 주요 먹이생물은 반딧불게르치, 줄비늘치, 도화망둑 등과 같은 어류였으며, 그 다음으로 새우류, 게류가 중요한 먹이생물이었다. 그외 두족류, 갯가재류 등도 위내용물에서 발견되었으나 그양은 많지 않았다. 표준체장 16 cm 이하의 살살치는 게류와 새우류를 주로 섭식하였으며, 16 cm 이상에서는 어류를 주로 섭식하였다. 살살치의 먹이생물크기를 살살치의 체장이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다.

한국 서행 상괭이 (Neophocaena asiaeorientalis)의 먹이습성과 섭식량 (Feeding Habits and Consumption by Finless Porpoises (Neophocaena asiaeorientalis) in the Yellow Sea)

  • We investigated the stomach contents of finless porpoises collected in the Yellow Sea. Prey organisms in the stomachs of 109 finless porpoises were identified as 11 species of fish, 8 species of shrimp and 4 species of cephalopod. Index of Relative Importance analysis revealed that the porpoises fed mainly on the Japanese sand shrimp (Crangon affinis). The energy density of the prey was estimated to be 5.46 kJ. The daily energy requirement was estimated to be 18,051 kJ/day for a porpoise with an average weight of 32.49 kg. The estimated annual consumption by finless porpoises in the Yellow Sea was 25,454 tons. The average commercial catch in the Yellow Sea by Korean fisheries was 135,913 tons from 2005 to 2009. Assuming that the abundance of finless porpoises is stable, porpoises ate approximately 18.7% of the commercial catch. The fishery catch may be influenced by the consumption by finless porpoises, while fishery bycatch is a cause of porpoise mortality in the Yellow Sea.

서부 열대 태평양의 눈다랑어와 황다랑어의 먹이에 관한 연구 (Diets of Bigeye and Yellowfin Tunas in the Western Tropical Pacific)

  • 눈다랑어와 황다랑어의 먹이의 종류와 섭이 습성을 비교하기 위하여 서부 열대 태평양에서 연승어업으로 어획된 이들 다랑어의 위내용물을 조사하였다. 눈다랑어와 황다랑어의 먹이는 주로 어류, 두족류, 갑각류이었다. 이들 두 종의 다랑어에서 동정된 먹이생물의 총 종수는 어류가 15종, 갑각류 6종 그리고 두족류가 1종이었으며 그 중 가장 중요한 먹이는 샛비늘치류인 Myctophum sp였다. 황다랑어와 눈다랑어의 먹이를 분석해본 결과 먹이의 종류에 있어서는 두 종간에 큰 차이가 없었으며 이것으로 보아 같은 해역에 서식하는 다랑어류는 먹이 습성이 유사함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, 먹이 가운데 몇몇 종 (Myctophidae, Alepisauridae, Oplophoridae, Gammaridae, and Onychoteuthidae)의 경우 그 중요도에 있어서 두 다랑어간에 현저한 차이를 보였다.

Anisakis simplex Larvae: Infection Status in Marine Fish and Cephalopods Purchased from the Cooperative Fish Market in Busan, Korea

  • The infection status of marine fish and cephalopods with Anisakis simplex third stage larva (L3) was studied over a period of 1 year. A total of 2,537 specimens, which consisted of 40 species of fish and 3 species of cephalopods, were purchased from the Cooperative Fish Market in Busan, Korea, from August 2006 to July 2007. They were examined for A. simplex L3 from the whole body cavity, viscera, and muscles. A. simplex L3 were confirmed by light microscopy. The overall infection rate reached 34.3%, and average 17.1 larvae were parasitized per infected fish. Fish that recorded the highest infection rate was Lophiomus setigerus (100%), followed by Liparis tessellates (90%), Pleurogrammus azonus (90%), and Scomber japonicus (88.7%). The intensity of infection was the highest in Gadus macrocephalus (117.7 larvae per fish), followed by S. japonicus (103.9 larvae) and L. setigerus (54.2 larvae). Although abundance of A. simplex L3 was not seasonal in most of the fish species, 10 of the 16 selected species showed the highest abundance in February and April. A positive correlation between the intensity of L3 infection and the fish length was obvious in S. japonicus and G. macrocephalus. It was likely that A. simplex L3 are more frequently infected during the spring season in some species of fish. Our study revealed that eating raw or undercooked fish or cephalopods could still be a source of human infection with A. simplex L3 in Korea.

충남 서산에서 어획된 낙지(Octopus minor)의 중금속 함량과 인체 위해성 평가 (Concentration of Heavy Metals in Octopus minor in Seosan, Chungnam and Food Safety Assessment)

  • This study estimated the heavy metal concentrations in octopus (Octopus minor) and conducted a food safety assessment of octopus. Octopus, a benthic cephalopod, was collected from the Seosan intertidal zone on the west coast of Korea. The samples were digested with acids, and then the cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn) contents were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The Cd, Cu, and Zn range of concentrations in octopus were 0.06-19 (mean 5.8), 44-1,463 (mean 354.8), and 76-929 (mean 247.9) mg/kg on a dry weight basis, respectively. The concentrations of heavy metals were higher in the internal organs than in the mantle. Of the three heavy metals, copper had the highest concentrations in the internal organs because of the existence of hemocyanin bound with copper in octopus blood, whereas zinc had the highest concentrations in the mantle. No relationship between the concentration of heavy metals and biological parameters (length, weight, and sex) was found. The ratios (I/M) of the heavy metal concentrations in internal organs and mantle were highest for cadmium, although cadmium had much lower concentrations in the internal organs compared with copper and zinc. Considering the provisional tolerable weekly intake (PTWI) of the three heavy metals and the average intake of octopus per day, all three elements should have no adverse effects on humans.

낙지(Octopus minor)에서의 브롬계화합물(Polybrominated diphenyl ethers, PBDEs)의 잔류농도와 조성특성 (Concentration of Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers and Their Composition in Octopus minor Collected from Seosan Intertidal Zone)

  • 충남 서산군 조간대에서 채집되어진 저서성 두족류 낙지(Octopus minor)에서 브롬계화합물(Polybrominated diphenyl ethers, PBDEs)을 측정하였다. 낙지 외투장과 내장에서의 PBDEs 농도 범위는 각각 29.6~109.3 ng/g lipid wt(평균53.7 ng/g lipid wt), 11.5~89.0 ng/g lipid wt(평균 48.0 ng/g lipid wt)로 나타났다. 낙지 내장에서의 PBDEs 농도는 살오징어 간에서의 농도에 비해 약 2.5배 가량 낮게 나타났으며, 퇴적물 및 이매패류 시료와 PBDEs 농도를 비교한 결과 낙지에서 상대적으로 낮은 농도를 나타내었다. PBDEs의 조성비를 보면 낙지 외투장에서는 BDE 206, 203/200이 각각 72.3%, 11.8%로 총 PBDEs 농도의 80%이상을 차지하여 nona-, octa-BDE가 외투장에서 PBDEs의 주요 화합물로 나타났으며, 낙지 내장 시료에서는 BDE 206, 47이 각각 49%, 18.3%로 상대적으로 높은 조성비를 나타내었다.
