중국내 다국적기업 R&D랩의 진출동기에 따른 유형선택에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Entry Mode Selection Originated from the Entry Motivation of MNCs' R&D Labs in China)

  • 본 논문은 다국적기업 R&D랩들의 중국내 비즈니스활동이 활성화됨에 따라, 다국적기업이 중국에 어떤 진출동기로 어떤 유형의 R&D랩을 설립하는지에 대한 분석을 진행하고자하였다. 다국적기업 R&D랩의 중국진출동기를 중국의 시장이나 고객을 확보하기 위한 시장요인, 중국의 훌륭한 인적자원을 활용하기 위한 인적자원요인, 중국내 경쟁에서 경쟁우위를 차지하기 위한 경쟁우위요인과 정치적 환경요인 4가지로 분류하고, R&D랩 유형을 글로벌 기술센타, 현지 시장지원 랩, 현지 기술지원 랩 등 3가지 유형으로 분류하여 진출동기별 선택 가능한 R&D랩 유형을 규명하였다. 그 결과, 시장요인을 지향하거나 경쟁우위를 지향하는 다국적기업들은 현지 시장지원 랩을, 중국의 자원요인을 지향하는 다국적기업들은 글로벌 기술센터를 많이 설립하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 중국의 감세, 면세 등 정책적 이점을 지향하여 R&D랩을 진출하는 다국적기업들은 현지 기술지원 랩을 선택하는 경우가 많았다.

Ginsenosides Decrease β-Amyloid Production via Potentiating Capacitative Calcium Entry

  • Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive and irreversible neurodegenerative disorder characterized by extracellular amyloid plaques composed of amyloid β-peptide (Aβ). Studies have indicated that Ca2+ dysregulation is involved in AD pathology. It is reported that decreased capacitative Ca2+ entry (CCE), a refilling mechanism of intracellular Ca2+, resulting in increased Aβ production. In contrast, constitutive activation of CCE could decrease Aβ production. Panax ginseng Meyer is known to enhance memory and cognitive functions in healthy human subjects. We have previously reported that some ginsenosides decrease Aβ levels in cultured primary neurons and AD mouse model brains. However, mechanisms involved in the Aβ-lowering effect of ginsenosides remain unclear. In this study, we investigated the relationship between CCE and Aβ production by examining the effects of various ginsenosides on CCE levels. Aβ-lowering ginsenosides such as Rk1, Rg5, and Rg3 potentiated CCE. In contrast, ginsenosides without Aβ-lowering effects (Re and Rb2) failed to potentiate CCE. The potentiating effect of ginsenosides on CCE was inhibited by the presence of 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate (2APB), an inhibitor of CCE. 2APB alone increased Aβ42 production. Furthermore, the presence of 2APB prevented the effects of ginsenosides on Aβ42 production. Our results indicate that ginsenosides decrease Aβ production via potentiating CCE levels, confirming a close relationship between CCE levels and Aβ production. Since CCE levels are closely related to Aβ production, modulating CCE could be a novel target for AD therapeutics.

한국인에서의 직선형 전향적 상완골 골수 내 금속정의 해부학적 적합성 분석 (Analysis of Anatomical Conformity of Straight Antegrade Humeral Intramedullary Nail in Korean)

  • 목적: 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 영상을 이용하여 한국인에서 상완골 근위부 골절 치료에 적용되는 직선형 전향적 상완골 골수 내 금속정의 이상적 삽입점 위치를 알아보고 해부학적 적합성을 분석하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 2014년 5월부터 2016년 10월까지 견관절 외상으로 컴퓨터 단층 촬영을 시행한 환자 중 건측 견관절을 동시에 촬영한 한국인 74예를 대상으로 하였으며, 평균 나이는 64.5세(범위, 22-95세)였다. 영상의학적 평가는 건측 근위 상완골의 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 영상을 이용하여 다면 재구성(multiplanar reconstruction) 기법을 이용하였다. 직선형 골수정의 이상적 삽입점은 상완골 골수강 내 중심축과 상완골두가 만나는 점으로 선정하였으며 삽입점과 국소 해부학적 위치와의 거리를 측정하였다. 삽입점에서 극상건 부착부의 가장 내측까지의 관상면상 거리를 임계거리(critical distance)로 정의하고 이를 이용하여 삽입점과 회전근개 부착부와의 근접성을 평가하였다. 회전근개의 손상을 피하고 충분한 고정력을 얻기 위한 임계거리는 Euler 등이 제시한 대로 8mm 이상 확보 되어야 하며, 8 mm 미만인 경우를 위험형(critical type)으로 정의하였다. 임계거리와 성별, 나이, 키, 몸무게, 신체용적지수(body mass index)와의 통계적 유의성을 확인하였다. 결과: 이 연구에서 이상적인 삽입점의 위치는 이두구 외측연에서 시상면상 거리인 전후 거리는 평균 11.5 mm (범위, 4.0-16.6), 대결절의 가장 외측연에서 관상면상 거리인 내외 거리는 평균 20.5 mm (범위, 16.3-27.4)였다. 이상적 삽입점에서 극상건 부착부의 가장 내측까지의 관상면상 거리인 임계거리는 평균 8.0 mm (범위, 4.1-16.6)이며, 임계거리가 8 mm 미만인 위험형(critical type)ㅏ이은 74예 중 41예(55.4%)였다. 결론: 한국인에서 직선형 전향적 상완골 골수 내 금속정의 사용시, 상완 이두구의 외측연에서 후방으로 11.5 mm, 대결절 외측연에서 내측으로 20.5 mm 지점이 평균적인 이상적 삽입점의 위치였다. 하지만 55.4%의 경우에서 이상적 삽입점의 위치로 삽입할 경우 회전근개의 손상을 줄 수 있는 위험형(critical type)이였으므로, 술 전 치료방법의 선택 과정에서 환자 개개인의 해부학적 특성을 충분히 고려하여야 한다.

  • Objectives: In order to confirm a remedial effect and related influence of the clinic treatment by prescribing herb medicines to hypertensives experiencing angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor dosage and suffering from common side effect generally known as dry cough. Methods: 1. We selected the 19 patients who visited National Oriental Medical Center, from August 21, 2007 to August 16, 2008 and suffering from dry cough caused by taking ACE inhibitor, with no other possible diseases causing dry cough. 2. We separated the 19 patients into two groups (Type 1: Bi-Qi hie (脾氣虛) group prescribed Samchuljojung-tang & Type 2: Qi-hie dam-wul (氣虛痰鬱) group prescribed Samsoumgamibang). 3. We then observed the symptom level and post-treatment effect, and recorded changes of dry cough intensity level for each group. Results: 1. Type 1: In the survey of 12 patients, initial level recorded 16.33 at entry diagnosis, and next level meant changing of symptoms, recorded as 2.75 at Stage 1 and reaching 3.33 at Stage 2. 2. Type 2: 7 patients, with initial level recorded as 18.71 at entry diagnosis, and 1.86 at Stage 1 and reaching to 3.29 at Stage 2. 3. No additional prescriptions were issued at Stage 2 or afterwards, and final result indicates that the mean value ended at 3.95 in the total group. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a significant remedial effect and related influence of the clinic treatment between the Oriental medicine treatment and one of the common side effects of ACE inhibitor, dry cough.

A Compliant Contact Control Strategy for Robot Manipulators with Unknown Environment

  • This paper proposes a new compliant contact control strategy for the robot manipulators accidentally interacting with an unknown environment. The main features of the proposed method are summarized as follows: First, each entry in the diagonal stiffness matrix corresponding to the task coordinate in Cartesian space is adaptively adjusted during con-tact along the corresponding axis based on the contact force with its environment. Second, it can be used for both unconstrained and constrained motions without any switching mechanism which often causes undesirable instability and/or vibrational motion of the end effector. Third, the adjusted stiffness gains are automatically recovered to initially specified stiffness gains when the task is changed from constrained motion to unconstrained motion. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method by employing a two-link direct drive manipulator interacting with an unknown environment.

곡관과 연속된 경사관 내에서 유동하는 아이스슬러리의 압력손실에 미치는 유속의 영향 (Influence of Velocity on Pressure Drop of Flowing Ice Slurry in Elbow and its continued Inclined Tube)

  • This study experimented to understand the effects of transporting ice slurry through elbow and inclined tube. And at this experiment it used propylene glycol-water solution and a diameter of about 2mm ice particle. The experiments were carried out under various conditions, with velocity of water solution at the entry ranging from 1.0 to 3.5 w/s and elbows and inclined tubes of 4 kinds angle with $30^{\circ},\;45^{\circ},\;90^{\circ}\;and\;180^{\circ}$. The pressure drop between the tube entry and exit were measured. According to angle of bending, the highest pressure drop was measured at $30^{\circ}$ elbow and the lowest pressure drop was measured at $90^{\circ}$ elbow, and there are only a little differences of pressure drop between $45^{\circ}$ elbow and $180^{\circ}$ elbow. According to angle of inclined tube, the highest pressure drop was measured at $90^{\circ}$ inclined tube and the pressure drop at $45^{\circ},\;30^{\circ},\;180^{\circ}$ inclined tubes were lower successively. The lowest pressure drop in elbows and inclined tubes was measured at velocity of $2.0\~2.5$ m/s and concentration of $10\;wt\%$.

이상 유동에서의 유체-구조 연성해석을 위한 Direct Forcing/Ficititious Domain-Level Set Method (Direct forcing/fictitious domain-Level set method for two-phase flow-structure interaction)

  • In the present paper, a direct forcing/fictitious domain (DF/FD) level set method is proposed to simulate the FSI (fluid-solid interaction) in two-phase flow. The main idea is to combine the direct-forcing/fictitious domain (DF/FD) method with the level set method in the Cartesian coordinates. The DF/FD method is a non-Lagrange-multiplier version of a distributed Lagrange multiplier/fictitious domain (DLM/FD) method. This method does not sacrifice the accuracy and robustness by employing a discrete ${\delta}$ (Dirac delta) function to transfer quantities between the Eulerian nodes and Lagrangian points explicitly as the immersed boundary method. The advantages of this approach are the simple concept, easy implementation, and utilization of the original governing equation without modification. Simulations of various water-entry problems have been conducted to validate the capability and accuracy of the present method in solving the FSI in two-phase flow. Consequently, the present results are found to be in good agreement with those of previous studies.

대형 할인매장 주차장 이용만족도의 영향요인 분석 (Study Analysis of Big Box Retailer Parking Lot User's Satisfaction)

  • This research has analyzed factors affecting customers' satisfaction when they use parking lots of big retailers so that, in case of constructing, operating or managing such retailers, proper measures can be come up with. The analysis has been implemented on the basis of survey, and influence factors including entry/exit lamp, parking cars' traffic flow, parking type, pedestrians' movement after parking and safety. Parking lot users' satisfaction has been analyzed by using the Structural Equation Modelling and, as a result of it, in case of a detached or single building, pedestrians' movement flow after parking contributed the most to the users' satisfaction, while, in case of multipurpose complex, parking cars' traffic flow has the most influential factor. It is interpreted that users of a single building put a bigger emphasis on entry to the shop and their way back to the parked area after their shopping while customers of multipurpose complex might have various purposes of visiting the place and there are relatively more cars so that they put more emphasis on traffic counterflow, other cars and pedestrians.

김녕해수욕장의 공간배치 및 관리현황 조사 연구 (A Research on Management and Layout of Gimnyeong Beach, Jejudo)

  • This study aims to propose the future plan and research management of a beach and the relation between spatial structure of a village and layout of the beach focusing on Gimnyeong beach among the 12 general beaches in Jejudo. The results are as followings: First, Gimnyeong beach had the relation to primary industries of residents in the village in times past and was the space for everyday lives of residents. However, at present it has the relation to tertiary industries and is more important in community activities. Second, the entry part and the sandy beach of Gimnyeong beach were crucial in location and function in times past but total size of the beach has expanded for campground nowadays. Therefore, it is necessary to change the location of entry part to center part of the beach. In addition, convenient and safe facilities are need to be built more to corresponding to expanding area of the beach. Finally, in order to maintain clean sea, residents in the Gimnyeong have agreed to not make sea farms in the vicinity of Gimnyeong Beach which pollute the sea. Their roles have influenced on positive effect to community of the village, management of the beach, and maintenance of clean sea.

농촌 마을회관의 실내외 공간구성 현황에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Space Composition of Indoor and Outdoor in Rural Community Centers)

  • In order to improve the housing environment and quality of life for the rural elderly, this study aims to identify and present the status of community centers, most widely used by the elderly in rural areas. Through the literature review, type and space elements of community centers were derived and selected three target areas were investigated. As a result of literature analysis, the space type of rural community centers were classified as indoor space and outdoor space. The indoor space types were classified as entry space, public space, sanitary space and the outdoor space were classified as entry space and leisure space. Some community centers were surveyed in Seocheon-gun, Wanju-gun, and Cheongju-city. Results indicate the indoor and outdoor space design and elements were undergoing a lot of inconvenience partly because standard design was considered and the space was not planned for the physical, psychological and social health of the rural elderly. Therefore, this study will be used as a basis for building healthier and more friendly residential environments that can enhance the health and quality of life for the elderly in rural areas.
