The present investigation has focused up on the study of the adsorption of three different molecular mass fractions of a polyDiMethylDiAllylAmmoniumChloride (DMDAAC) (8750(LM\ulcorner), 48000(MM\ulcorner) and 1200000(HM\ulcorner)) on bleached chemical fibres. Both kinetics of adsorption and equilibrium adsorption measurements have been conducted and each adsorption has been measured by polyelectrolyte titration. The results show that the LM\ulcorner polymer can reach all of the charges in the fibre wall whereas the MM\ulcorner and HM\ulcorner can only reach the external surfaces of the fibres. It is also shown that the kinetics of adsorption of the LMw polymer is not at all affected by the presence of a saturated layer of HMw polymer on the surface of the fibres. Finally, the results from the investigation show that it is possible to have full coverage of the external surface of the fibres by a high molecular mass polymer and a full coverage of the internal surface of the fibres with a low molecular mass polymer. This is true if the high molecular masspolymer is added first followed by addition of the low molecular masspolymer.
Structural changes of cellulosic fibres during the papermaking process were studied by analysis of FTIR spectra collected by the transmission method. The spectra were obtained from a carefully prepared handsheet, using a special infra-red (IR) cell suitable for evacuating the sample. The deconvolution technique was also applied for sharpening the FTIR spectra in the frequency range of the OH and CH stretching bands, which gave detailed information on the structural changes of cellulose. The intensity of some bands was decreased by predrying the sample as a result of the removal of adsorbed moisture. An increase in intensity of some bands in the frequency range of 3700 to $3200cm^{-1}$ was shown at a higher beating level. This increase in intensity was caused by changes in the crystal domain of cellulose resulting from the exposure of the crystalline area on the fibre surface.
Documented quality control plays a vital role I the production of technical “Depth filter” sheets used in industries such as Beverage and pharmaceutical. Depth filter sheets which can be up to several millimeters thick are stacker in plate and frame filter systems. They are the core of stainless steel filter systems which can be up to several meters high. FT-NIR Spectroscopy has many potential applications in the whole production line of filter sheets. Raw materials such as different types of cellulose pads, white powdery fillers (e.g. Kieelgur, Perlite) or liquid chemicals such as wet-strength agents we, with the help of NIR, easy to identify. NIR can also determine physical parameters such as particle size, essential for the filtration behavior. FT-NIR can be used for the quality parameters of the final product. Moisture and permeability can be determined, and with the help of the speed of this NIR method it is possible to correct possible faults quickly in the production process. Waste production can be minimized which is good for both the product profitability and the environment. Further tests have shown that it is also possible to use NIR on-line in the production area, to check the concentrations and the homogeneity of the paper suspension consisting of cellulose fibres, fillers and additives.
The major cause of paper deterioration is the acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of the cellulose in paper fibres. The deacidification of paper reduced the rate of this deterioration, and it has been reported to extend the useful life of acidic paper by three to five times. It has been recognized the need for an effective method of deacidifying large quantities of books and documents. T도 review of the current state of deacidification technology has been published recently. The paper points to the immediate need for a cost-effective and reliable method to save the millions of books that prish every year. It was tried to deacidify by the gaseous ethanolamine for solving with the above the problem. Acidic paper was treated with the monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triehtanolamine. It result, it was found that the rate of deacidification was in caused very little grightness and fold endurances. For solving this problem, it was carried with deacidify by combination treatment of the various gaseous ehtnaloamines. In result, decreasing of brightness and fold endurance is reduced.
The damaging effects of hemp and cotton by Aspergillus sp, and penicillum sp, which grow successfully on cotton were studied. The damages were measured after cultivated at $30^{\circ}C$ for 10 days the fabrics with Aspergillus sp,and Penicillum sp, respectically, in various conditions. The effects of cell-free extract produced from fungus were also investigated. The results of obtained could be summeried as follows : 1) Cultivation of fungi on fibre in malt extract agar was better than that in czapeck agar. 2) Tnsile strength of the fabrics was deteriortated most easily in czapeak agar at the rae of 49.8%. 3)Growth of fungi was promoted by starching the fibre but tensile strength was felled -off , however, by starching, propagation of fungi was superior on cotton to on hemp. 4) In case of hemp, propagation of fungi was inferior to in case of cotton but the tensile strength was deteriorated at the rate of 26-33%. 5) In case of starched hemp, the tensile strength was deteriorated Slowly in first 8 days, but after 8 days there was no particular change. There was no particular change of tensile strength by starching in cotton. 6) It seemed that a damage of fibre was accelerated because the fungus grow not only on the surface of fabrics but also the inner of those. 7) By treatment of cell-free produced form fungi, the tensile strength of hemp falled off at the rate of 50-65% in first 24 hours, since then the tensile strength was deteriorated slowly for 4 days, but after incubation for 4 days was not changed. But the tensile strength of cotton by cell-free extracts was not effected.
이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 가스상 에탄올아민류들을 조합 처리하여 탈산처리를 시도해 본 결과, 백색도와 내절도의 감소없이 효과적인 탈산처리 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.ird limit" is characterized by the production of reduction of $H_2O$$_2$, which is reduced by wall effect.
