Log Production of Major Commercial Species for Sawtimber in Hongcheon Region of South Korea

  • This study was carried out to figure out the number of logs for sawtimber by DBH and height class and to compare merchantable volume ratio by categorizing into sawtimber, lagging board and pulpwood, and others for Pinus densiflora, Pinus koraiensis, and Larix kaempferi. Logs for sawtimber were hardly produced in small DBH class of three species, but produced evidently from medium DBH class. In large DBH class, the number of logs for sawtimber were noticeably different among species: 4.3 logs for L. kaempferi, 2.6 logs for P. densiflora, and 1.0 logs for P. koraiensis on average. Similarly, merchantable volume ratio for sawtimber were largely different among species in large DBH class with higher than 15 m: 82% logs for L. kaempferi, 60% logs for P. densiflora, and 44% logs for P. koraiensis. When compared to the upper diameter and upper height by species with regard to the last log of a tree produced for sawtimber, upper diameter was smallest with 14.1 cm and upper height was highest with 12.2 m in L. kaempferi. Overall, L. kaempferi was considered as the more commercial species for sawtimber production than P. densiflora and P. koraiensis.

A New Architecture for Packet Classification

  • The process of categorizing packets into 'class' in an Internet router is called packet classification. All packets with same class obey predefined rule specified in routing tables. Performing classification in real time on an arbitrary number of fields is a very challenge task. In this paper, we present a new algorithm named EnBiT-PC (EnBiT Packet Classification). and evaluate its performance against real classifiers in use today. We compare with previous algorithms, and found out that EnBiT-PC classify packets very efficiently and has relatively small storage requirements.

수업관찰 기법의 특성과 내용 분석 - CLASS 기법의 시범적 적용 - (An Analysis of the Observing Methods for Classroom: Pilot Application of CLASS)

  • 본 연구는 수업관찰을 위한 양적 측정도구로서 CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System)를 소개하고 그 특성을 이해하는데 목적이 있다. CLASS는 수업의 질을 평가하기 위해 개발되었고 미국 전역에서 활용되고 있다. CLASS는 수업에서 교사와 학생의 상호 작용을 측정하고 주제 영역 및 학생연령 별로 상호 작용을 확인하는 도구로서 세 가지 질적 영역, 즉, 정서적 지원, 학급 조직, 교육지원 등으로 구성된다. CLASS는 학생들의 학습을 위한 핵심으로 교사와 학생들 간의 상호 작용 패턴에 중점을 둔다. 관찰자가 교사와 학생을 10분~15분 동안 3~4번 관찰하며, 관찰은 행동과 반응의 유형에 따라 1에서 7사이의 연속된 등급척도로 평가된다. CLASS의 활용 가능성을 확인하기 위해, 경력이 많은 전문가 교사의 학급과 초임교사의 학급에 적용하여 분석해 보았다. 전문가 교사는 학생들이 주도적으로 수업을 이끌어가는 데 집중을 하였고, 초임 교사는 교과의 내용을 다루는 데 집중을 하였다. 초임교사는 학급 분위기를 긍정적으로 만들고, 학생들에게 피드백 해주는 데 비교적 많은 노력을 기울였다. 전문가 교사는 학생의 의견, 질문, 미세한 감정 등을 파악하고 드러내는 데 보다 많은 노력을 기울였다. CLASS는 교실에서 어떤 유형의 행동과 상호 작용이 발생하는지를 기록하고 이를 분석하는 관찰도구로서 활용이 가능할 것이다.

종과 비오톱 보전을 위한 가치평가 모형 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of an Evaluation Model for Biotope Appraisal in terms of Species and Biotope Preservation)

  • This research This research aims at developing systemic evaluation model in terms of biotope preservation through reports, literatures, and expert survey analysis by implementing biotope structure analysis in area level with selecting Hyunpoong and Yuga-myeon, Dalseong county, Daegu metropolitan city as a site. First of all, as a result of biotope type classification of research site, biotope type groups are classified into total 13, and its biotope types are divided into total 61. Also, as a result of literature analysis, total 18 items are drawn such as diversity of biotope typical species as a index item to assess the preservation value of biotope, and the first evaluation index are divided into 10 and the second ones are divided into 8 according to characteristic of index items. As a result of expert survey analysis, All 10 index items, first evaluation index, show high importance average (above 4.7). As a result of implementation of main cause for categorizing evaluation index by characteristic, there are 3 factors such as 'obstructive factor.' Based on above survey analysis result, as a result of estimating the weight of each item, 'restoration factor' showed the highest, 3.4541, but 'factor of habitat stability' showed 3.1468, which is the lowest The systemic value evaluation was set by comprehensively analyzing these results. As a result of biotope preservation value evaluation through applying research site, total 19 types which are abundant in vegetation are classified into I class, 12 types in II class, 5 types in III class, 10 types in IV class, and 15 types in V class respectively. Lastly, as a result of second evaluation, it is analyzed that there are 17 special meaningful space to preserve species and biotope(1a, 1b) and 61 meaningful space to preserve species (2a, 2b, 2c).

포섭구조 일대다 지지벡터기계와 Naive Bayes 분류기를 이용한 효과적인 지문분류 (Effective Fingerprint Classification using Subsumed One-Vs-All Support Vector Machines and Naive Bayes Classifiers)

  • 지문분류는 사전에 정의된 클래스로 입력된 지문을 분류하여 자동지문인식 시스템에서 비교해야할 지문의 수를 줄여준다. 지지벡터기계(support vector machine; SVM)는 패턴인식 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있을 뿐만 아니라 지문분류에서도 높은 성능을 보이고 있다. SVM은 이진클래스 분류기이기 때문에 다중클래스 문제인 지문분류를 위해서 적절한 분류기 생성과 결합 기법이 필요하며, 본 논문에서는 일대다(one-vs-all; OVA) 방식으로 구성된 SVM을 naive Bayes(NB) 분류기를 이용하여 동적으로 구성하는 분류방법을 제안한다. 지문분류에서 대표적으로 사용되는 특징인 FingerCode와 지문의 구조적 특징인 특이점과 의사융선을 사용하여 OVA SVM과 NB 분류기를 학습하고, 포섭구조의 분류기를 구성하여 효과적인 지문분류를 수행한다. NIST-4 데이타베이스에 제안하는 방법을 적용하여 5클래스 분류에 대해서 90.8%의 높은 분류율을 획득하였으며, OVA 전략의 SVM을 다중클래스 분류문제에 적용할 때 발생하는 동점문제를 효과적으로 처리하였다.

일 실업 고등학교 학생들의 건강개념과 건강행위에 대한 조사 연구 (A Study on Health Concepts and Health Behavior in Vocational High School Studnts)

  • Health has occupied a position of importance in the human history, whether it be in the East or in the West, and it is a subject in which people have been constantly interested. The concept of health has changed continuously as the society has developed, industrialized and become more structured. The perception of health concept can be an esential factor which is to determine the health behaviors. This study is a descriptive inquiry done to identity high school students' perception of health and what they do as health behaviors. The subject consisted of 503 voctional high school seniors, 129 boys and 374 girls, from a school located in An-san Si, kyong-gi Do. The instruments used for this study were open-ended questionnaires and data were collected by having the students fill out the questionnaires which took 10 minutes, in their first class, April 6, 1995. The collected materials were classified and recorded on the cards according to each question using the terms which students had written. After putting statements which had common meanings together, the representative categories were labelled. The results obtained are as follows. 1. Categorizing and labelling of health concepts What high school students descripted as health concepts were classified as the absence of illness, physical comfort, strong physical strength and physique, not having a deformity, resisting power, self control mental-rest(or psychological comfort), wholesome ideas, self-control, harmony in body and in mind, maintenace of daily life, pleasant life, good friends, peaceful family life and realizing objectives. 2. Categorizing and labelling of health behaviors These were classified as preventive life, good dietary habits and regimen, maintenance of clean body, exercises, preventing obesity, rest, environmental balance or control of environment, limit one's tastes, making use of leisure, peaceful mind, sound thought and regular living habits. The result indicates that the health concepts were positive and included not only absence of illness but also harmony in body and in mind and pleasant life; health behaviors which had high frequency were good dietary habits and regimen, exercises and sound thought. It is hoped that these findings well serve as practical references for teachers when they counsel with, and provide the students with guidance programs which include health care.

상품특성치에 따른 의류상품 분류 연구 (A Study on Categorizing Clothing Items by Product Characteristics.)

  • The main purposes of the study were to categorize the clothing items into product groups according to their product characteristics, and to find out the differences of consumer perception on clothing Product groups among different age and socioeconomic groups. A questionnaire about characteristics It?as constructed on the basis of Lipton, Darling, and Miracle's theories on product categorisations. The questionnaires were administered to female subjects in two age groups (20's and 40's) living in Seoul. Subjects were classified into 3 socioeconomic groups for the analysis. The Analysis of variance, post-hoc comparisons (Scheffe test and Tuckey test) were employed for the statistical inferences. The results were as follows ; Group I : none Group II : socks, undershirts, T-shirts (20's age group) Group III : blouse, sweater, blue jean, pajama, langerie, T-shirts (40's age group), skirt Group IV : jacket, skirt (high class of 40's age group) two-piece, half coat, long coat, Korean folk costume Group V : none Some of the clothing items were categorized into different product groups by different age and socioeconomic groups.

초등 예비 교사의 반성적 글쓰기에서 나타나는 반성의 유형과 특징 (The Patterns and Characteristics of Preservice Elementary Teachers' Reflection in Reflective Journal Writing)

  • This study aimed at categorizing preservice teachers' reflections and understanding their characteristics in reflective journal writing after microteaching. Thirty-two preservice elementary teachers joined in this study. As results, three patterns were categorized: Reflection with practice, Reflection to be practice, Reflection with suspension of judgment. 'Reflection with practice' changed the topology of science class in active. 'Reflection to be practice' had clear focus in reflection and suggested orientations to succeed in the next teaching. 'Reflection with suspension of judgment' made something fall into abeyance, because it couldn't provide an orientation for teaching. After discussing these results, implications toward preservice teacher education were explored.

Multi-Class Classification Framework for Brain Tumor MR Image Classification by Using Deep CNN with Grid-Search Hyper Parameter Optimization Algorithm

  • Histopathological analysis of biopsy specimens is still used for diagnosis and classifying the brain tumors today. The available procedures are intrusive, time consuming, and inclined to human error. To overcome these disadvantages, need of implementing a fully automated deep learning-based model to classify brain tumor into multiple classes. The proposed CNN model with an accuracy of 92.98 % for categorizing tumors into five classes such as normal tumor, glioma tumor, meningioma tumor, pituitary tumor, and metastatic tumor. Using the grid search optimization approach, all of the critical hyper parameters of suggested CNN framework were instantly assigned. Alex Net, Inception v3, Res Net -50, VGG -16, and Google - Net are all examples of cutting-edge CNN models that are compared to the suggested CNN model. Using huge, publicly available clinical datasets, satisfactory classification results were produced. Physicians and radiologists can use the suggested CNN model to confirm their first screening for brain tumor Multi-classification.

성공적인 과학 수업 구성 요소에 대한 예비교사들의 인식 (Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions of Successful Science Classes' Components)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초등 예비교사들이 생각하는 성공적인 과학수업의 특징과 구체적인 요소에 대해 분석하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 초등예비교사 61명(여 47명, 남 14명)을 연구참여자로 모집하였다. 연구에 사용한 자료는 그룹별 및 개인별 수업실연 중 작성한 상호평가지이다. 자료의 양은 총 150페이지의 방대한 질적 자료였으며 이 자료를 질적 분석을 통해 귀납적 범주화하여 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성공적인 과학수업을 구성하는 요소는 7개 범주(14개의 하위 범주, 33개의 하위 요소)로 분석되었다. 구체적인 성공적인 과학수업을 구성하는 요소는 과학교과 내용, 수업운영, 교수학습방법 선정 및 수업내용 조직, 교수학습자료, 학생이해, 교수상황 이해, 수업관련 노력으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 예비교사들이 인식하는 성공적인 과학수업을 구성하는 요소의 구체적인 내용을 수집하여 예비교사들의 실제적인 수업의 모습을 기술할 수 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과에서 보듯이, 예비교사가 인식하는 성공적인 과학수업의 특징과 구체적인 요소를 파악할 수 있었으며, 이를 바탕으로 예비교사가 효과적인 과학수업운영을 위한 지원을 개발할 수 있을 것이며 이에 대한 지속적인 분석이 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.
