수은 폭로 근로자들의 생물학적 폭로지표와 호흡량 및 폭로 기간과의 상관성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Relationships Between Inhalation Volume and Exposure Duration and Biological Indices of Mercury among Workers Exposed to Mercury)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the relationships between the environmental exposure and biological monitoring among workers exposed to metallic mercury We interviewed each workers to get the medical history including previous hazardous occupational history. We measured the respiration rate and tidal volume of each worker in order to calculate the 8-hour inhaled mercury of workers. And we wafted to evaluate the effect of exposure duration to mercury concentrations in blood and urine as biologic exposure indices of metallic mercury. The regression and correlation analysis were done to the relationships of 8-hour inhaled mercury and mercury in blood and urine. The results were as follows; 1. The subjects were 35 fluorescent lamp manufacturing workers. The mean age of subjects was .24.8 years old, and the mean work careers of workers was 1.19 years. 89% of the total was consisted man. 2. The correlation coefficients between 8-hour inhaled mercury and mercury in blood and urine were higher than that of only considered air mercury concentration. 3. The correlation coefficients of 8-hour inhaled mercury and mercury in blood and urine were above 0.9 in workers who had exposed to mercury more than 1 year 4. The R-square value and -value of regression analysis between the 8-hour inhaled mercury and mercury in blood and urine was also higher in workers who had exposed to mercury over 1 year than in workers who had less than 1 year working experience. The important results of this study were that relationships between the 8hr-inhaled mercury and mercury in blood and urine was very high than that with air mercury concentration only. And the results were very apparent when considering workers 1 year or more. Therefore we concluded that the work career and respiratory volume of each individuals should be considered in evaluation the, results of biological monitoring of workers exposed to metallic mercury.

가교일자리에서의 근로가 베이비부머의 결혼만족도 변화에 미치는 영향 (Bridge Employment and Changes in Marital Satisfaction among Korean Baby Boomers)

  • 본 연구는 가교일자리에서의 근로가 베이비부머의 결혼만족도의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 그 과정에서 일자리 특성의 변화가 매개역할을 하는가를 검증하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 '한국 베이비부머 패널 조사' 1-3차년도(2010-2014년) 자료를 활용하여 다변량 잠재성장모형의 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 생애주된일자리에서 가교일자리로 이동하는 것은 근로소득의 변화율을 매개로 하여 결혼만족도의 변화율에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 1-3차년도 사이에 가교일자리로 이동한 베이비부머의 근로소득이 현저히 감소하였고, 그로 인해 생애주된일자리를 유지한 자에 비하여 결혼만족도가 보다 완만하게 상승하는 효과가 있었다. 반면에, 가교일자리에서 근로를 지속하는 것은 직업몰입의 변화율을 매개로 하여 결혼만족도의 변화율에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 1차년도에 이미 가교일자리에서 일하고 있었으며 이후 가교일자리에서 계속 일한 경우에는 생애주된일자리를 유지한 경우에 비하여 직업몰입이 더 가파르게 상승하였고, 그로 인해 결혼만족도가 더 가파르게 높아졌다. 본 연구결과는 부부관계를 재정립하는 중년기에 생애주된일자리에서 가교일자리로 이동하는 것이 생애주된일자리를 유지하는 것에 비하여 결혼만족도의 상승을 저해하는 효과가 있으나, 그 효과가 지속되지는 않음을 시사한다. 또한 본 연구는 가교일자리에서의 근로가 결혼만족도의 변화에 영향을 미치는 메커니즘을 실증적으로 분석하였다는 의의를 갖는다. 후속연구에서는 가교일자리로의 이동 시의 소득감소가 결혼만족도의 변화에 미치는 부정적 효과를 완충할 수 있는 중재요인을 탐색하는 것이 필요하다.

기혼 직장여성의 건강관련 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Influencing Factors on Health Related Quality of Life(HRQOL) in Married Working Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence HRQOL for married working women. Methods: The subjects of the study were 577 full-time working married women living in five province. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire, from April to September 2006. Results: As for the general characteristics, there was a statistically significant difference in the level of HRQOL(total) according to age, education, menopause, family income, leisure activities, residence, duration of marriage, number of children, firstborn age, household duties of husband, job, career, type of work, women's income, and purpose of working. The level of HRQOL showed a statistically significant difference according to BMI and behavioral factors except for caffeine intake and follow up health screening. The HRQOL were significantly correlated with depression, marital satisfaction and job satisfaction. The multiple regression analysis showed that the HRQOL were significantly predicted by depression, marital satisfaction, education, regular exercise, daily working hours and job satisfaction. These variables explained 48.5% of the variance of HRQOL. Depression was the main predictor of HRQOL. Conclusion: It could be concluded that nursing intervention to reduce depression should be developed to promote the HRQOL for married working women.

병원 전 단계 응급의료 서비스 개선방안에 관한 연구 : 119 구급대원과 응급실 간호사의 응급처치 지식 및 기술 숙련도 비교 (How to Improve the Emergency Medical Service System: Levels of Knowledge and Techniques in Prehospital Care for 119 Relief Squad Members and Emergency Room Nurses)

  • During the past decade or so in Korea, 119 relief squad members were supposed to respord first urgent or emergency cases. The primary purpose of this study was to assess what levels of knowledge and techniques in prehospital care the 119 relief squad members showed. Data regarding the knowledge and technique levels were collected from both the 119 relief squad members (n=63) and the emergency room nurses(n=46). The Results indicated that the 119 relief squad when compared to emergency nurses, showed higher scores for knowledge and techniques in some areas of prehospital care but not in other areas, However, no differences in knowledge and technique were found when the ANOVAs were calculated with two covariates : duration of their career in emergency medical services and frequency of their exposure to lectures on emergency medical technology. In addition, many respondents in the 119 relief squad group rated themselves poorly in knowledge and techniques of prehospital care, The findings imply that qualitatively better curricula should be given to the 119 relief squad members before they are allowed to play an important role in the emergency medical service system. These findings are also discussed in the context of improving the emergency medical service system.

빈곤과 실업의 원인과 복지정책의 효과 (Interdependence of Poverty and Unemployment and the Welfare Policy Effectiveness)

  • 본 연구는 빈곤과 실업의 결정요인과 상호관계를 살펴보고, 복지정책의 효과를 분석해 본다. 특히, 빈곤가구와 가구주의 특성, 가구주의 경제활동상태 변화 및 이들 변수에 영향을 미치는 결정요인을 분석해 본다. probit 모형과 bivariate probit 모형을 이용한 실증분석 결과, 빈곤의 주된 원인으로 실업이 작용했고, 가구월수, 가구주의 연령 및 저학력 등도 원인으로 작용했음이 밝혀졌다. 사회보험 수급 등을 포함하는 복지정책은 이러한 실업이 빈곤에 미치는 영향을 축소시키는 요인으로 역할하고 있음이 추정 결과 나타났다.

일개 대학병원 직원의 인사고과성적 예측요인 (The Predictors of Employees' Personnel Rating at a University Hospital in Korea)

  • This study purports to investigate the determinants of individual personnel rating of the employees at a university hospital in Seoul, Korea. The sample used in this study consisted of 63 nurses, 41 para-medical staff (Clinical Pathologist, and Radiologist), and 67 administrative staff. Independent variables of the study included the achievement level of the selection test (English, major subject, and interview), post-entrance development factors (education and training, career development, supervisory support, co-worker support, and organizational support), and demographic characteristics. Data for the achievement level of the entrance exam and years for the first promotion were collected from the administrative records of the study hospital, while data for the post-entrance development factors were collected from the survey with self-administered questionnaires using 5-point Likert Scale during June 10-25, 2003. Collected data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. The results of the study showed that achievement level of the interview and English exam at the selection test, education and training, organizational support, and supervisory support while working at the hospital, and length of duration (below 8 years) and educational background (4-year college graduates) among demographic variables had significant positive effects on the personnel rating. The results of the study imply that hospital administrators should make an effort to improve the validity of the selection test, and to motivate the employees to receive more education and training.

보건진료원의 자아상태 및 대인태도가 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of a Community Health Practitioner's Ego State, and Interpersonal Attitude on Depression)

  • Purpose: Community health practitioners (CHP) in Korea have a responsibility for delivering primary health care to remote or isolated communities. The aim of this paper is to analyze CHPs' level of depression and impacts of their Ego state and interpersonal attitude in transactional analysis on depression. This paper gives fundamental data for developing a the program for mental health promotion of CHPs. Method: The subjects Of this Study consisted of 459 Korean CHP who were conveniently selected from the target population. The data was collected through interviews using self-administered questionnaires, including the Korean Ego gram and life position inventory and depression scale. Results: The CHP's Ego gram showed the N type with the top point of NP. The type of interpersonal attitude was I'M OK - YOU'RE OK (I+U++). The level of depression was 35.4, normal range. There was a significant difference in depression according to the duration of the career. There was a significant negative correlation among NP, A, FC ego states, interpersonal OK and depression, and a significant positive correlation between interpersonal Not-OK and depression. The NP, A, FC ego states and interpersonal Not-OK were significant predictors (47.1%) of depression. Conclusion: This study showed that a program for CHPs to should include increasing the function of ego states and positive interpersonal attitude.

연령통합적 여가 측면에서 본 자원봉사활동의 연령별 실태 분석 (A Study on the Actual Condition of Volunteering Activities in Regards to Age-Integrated Leisure)

  • The purpose of this study is to ascertain the actual conditions of volunteering activities in respect to age-integrated leisure. This study is based on the 2010 Korea Leisure Life Survey. The participants in this study were 3015 people who reside in Korean cities, except for Jeju-do. Questionnaires from the 2010 Korea Leisure Life Survey were used for the final analysis. Data were analyzed through a descriptive analysis, Chi-Square test and ANOVA by SPSS WIN 17.0. The findings indicated that 18% of the participants participated in volunteer activities as leisure in the last one year. The major findings were as follows. First, demographic characteristics such as age, academic career, income, and marital status had a positive correlation with the degree of volunteer participation. Second, there were differences in duration and field of activities according to age. Third, though most of the non-volunteer reasons were 'lack of resources', there were different reasons based on age. In detail, the reason for 10-50 year-olds (economically active population) was 'lack of time', but the more than 60 year-olds was 'health concern'. Consequently, this access to the life cycle study shows the need to improve life satisfaction.

남자간호사의 대인관계능력과 직무 스트레스가 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Interpersonal relation and Job Stress on Nursing Performance of Male Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of interpersonal relation and job stress on nursing performance among male nurses. Methods: This study was cross-sectional descriptive one. The data were collected from self-administered questionnaires by 110 male nurses members affiliated with the Korean Man Nurses Association. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way ANOVA with Duncan test, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: The average scores of interpersonal relation, job stress, and nursing performance were respectively 3.64, 3.10, 3.63. Nursing performance was high in married, good health condition, manager, and high salary among male nurses. Nursing performance showed significant positive correlation with interpersonal relation (p<.001), and a significant negative correlation with job stress (p=.010). Influencing factors of nursing performance among male nurses were interpersonal relation, health status, total duration of career, position, and the adjusted $R^2$ of the regression model was 42%. Conclusion: The results suggest that we need to develop a training program to improve the nursing performance of the male nurses.

임상간호사의 가족지지도가 직무 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (Family Support and Job Stress of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to investigate the level of family support, job stress in clinical nurses end identify the participant's individual characteristics that influenced each of them. Methods: This study was a descriptive correlational study. The participants were 192 clinical nurses working in local middle range hospitals. The data were collected from May to June, 2013 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and Pearson's correlation by PASW statistics20. Results: The item mean score for family support was 21.01 and job stress was 98.89. There was a statistically significant negative correlation between family support and job stress (r=-.12). The level of job stress differed according to age (p=.014), duration of career (p=.013), department area (p<.001), position (p=.005), work duty form (p<.001), family member (p=.021), burden (p=.031), marital status (p=.001) and satisfaction (p<.001). Conclusion: Family support is needed to reduce job stress. Also, job satisfaction improvement programs and effective working systems should be developed to decrease the nurse's workplace stress.
