An increase in carbon emissions leads to the problem of global warming and is an issue to be solved in other countries. The problem of carbon dioxide has many effects not only on global warming but also on people. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 4.3 million people have died because harmful substances generated indoors cannot be discharged to the outside and accumulate in the human body through the respiratory tract. In response to this situation, in order to reduce the generation of pollutants in the building itself, soak into lightweight bubble concrete to adsorb and purify indoor pollutants, mix charcoal, investigate the appropriate amount and physical characteristics, and check carbon dioxide This is an experiment for grasping the adsorption capacity, and the results are as follows. As the replacement rate of rice husk charcoal increased, the compressive strength tended to decrease, and the carbon dioxide reduction rate tended to increase. It is judged that the charcoal of rice husks shows a low density and the physical adsorption is smooth due to the porous structure. Since it is excellent in the basic physical properties and carbon dioxide adsorption surface of this experiment, it is judged that it has sufficient potential for use as an indoor finishing material.

The introduction of aviation into the EU-ETS has faced significant opposition from many ICAO member States. Accordingly a global solution through ICAO is in progress. This paper traces the progress of works done by the HGCC in the area of global aviation aspiration goals aiming for the submission to the 38th Session of the ICAO Assembly. Furthermore, devices for calculating the carbon dioxide emissions from flights have been developed by several agencies including international organizations, governments, airlines and nongovernmental organizations. These carbon calculators, however, introduce too many assumptions to simplify the calculation process. This study assesses carbon calculators for aviation emissions and suggests a modified calculation methodology using the pre-existing computer reservation system for better accuracy.
Nuclear energy is estimated by the machine learning method as the mathematical quantifications where neural networking is the major algorithm of the data propagations from input to output. As the aspect of nuclear energy, the other energy sources of the traditional carbon emission-characterized oil and coal are compared. The artificial intelligence (AI) oriented algorithm like the intelligence of a robot is applied to the modeling in which the mimicking of biological neurons is utilized in the mathematical calculations. There are graphs for nuclear priority weighted by climate factor and for carbon dioxide mitigation weighted by climate factor in which the carbon dioxide quantities are divided by the weighting that produces some results. Nuclear Priority and CO2 Mitigation values give the dimensionless values that are the comparative quantities with the normalization in 2010. The values are 1.0 in 2010 of the graphs which are changed to 24.318 and 0.0657 in 2040, respectively. So, the carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced in this study.
Marine diesel engines with high thermal efficiency and fuel diversity used for propulsive power have been taking charge of important position on marine transport. However, marine environment has recently focused on emissions such as nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide which is generated from combustion of low grade fuels. EGR(Exhaust gas recirculation) system is one of effective methods to reduce the nitrogen oxide emission from marine diesel engines. In general, it is considered that recirculating gas influences fuel combustion and emissions in diesel engines. However, along with positive effects of EGR, the EGR system using fuels of including high sulfur concentration should be considered about re-combustion and activation of sulfur dioxide in recirculating gas. Therefore, in experimental study, an author investigates effects of sulfur dioxide mixture concentration in intake air on combustion and exhaust emission characteristics in a direct injection diesel engine. In results, change of sulfur dioxide concentrations in intake air had negligible impact on combustion chamber pressure, rate of heat release and emissions compared with effects of oxygen decreasing and carbon dioxide increasing of EGR.
This study was conducted to serve as the basis for establishing a standard cultivation, which enhances the alternative utilization of pig manure, a major cause of environmental pollution, by finding a means for reducing greenhouse gas emissions for eco-friendly cultivation. In a laboratory, $CH_4$ and $CO_2$ emission patterns were investigated corresponding to incremental pig manure treatments in paddy soil. The emissions peaked 12 to 27 days after manure application in the 100~400% applications. It was found that increasing applications of pig manure resulted an increase in $CH_4$ and $CO_2$ emissions. Additionally, application of more than 150% emitted a larger amount of these gasses than applying chemical fertilizer. However, the test application of 100% pig manure emitted a smaller amount of $CH_4$ and hence Global Warming Potential (GWP) than those emitted by chemical fertilizer. If appropriate amount of fertilization is applied in compliance with the standard application rate, the pig manure may be effective in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the soil environment made more favorable than with the use of chemical fertilizer.

Exhaust emissions were studied as a function of gasoline olefin composition in two vehicles-MPI and GDi engine equipped vehicles. Three different gasolines were tested which varied in olefin contents-12, 16 and 20 vol%. Exhaust emissions in two vehicles were affected by changes in gasoline olefin composition. Responses to changes in olefins were similar in both vehicles : reducing olefins lowered emissions of NOx and CO. Measured exhaust emissions included total hydrocarbons (THC), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), carbon monooxide(CO), carbon dioxide($CO_2$), formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, xylene, 1,3-butadiene and acetylene.

Architectural design for school can be completed well when the environment-friendly elements are satisfied. In other words, the environment-freindly element could be most important idea for school planning, and one should have this direction for each element as a design goal. In this study, I defined the "environment-friendly" as the environment for nature and human. I examined what could satisfy those and would be its principles. I set up the criteria to satisfy each priciple. Most important factor to keep the relation between nature and human would be reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and a green belt would absorb it. Therefore, I think that there would be effective possibility when suitable conditions are applied in phases. Every school can have comfort as environment-friendly facility, at the same time, contribute to nature. Also, students can learn and study nature, and perform a duty as human.
Recently many countries agreed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere or at least to keep them at the current level at the Kyoto Protocol. Carbon dioxide has been proven to be 80% of greenhouse gases, contributing to the increase of the earth's surface temperature. It is reported that half of the $CO_2$ emissions are produced by industry and power plants using fossil fuels. In this article, we review and analysis domestic and abroad R & D policy trends relating to UN framework convention on climate change(UNFCCC).
This paper introduces a new method to estimate and decompose sources of carbon dioxide emissions using an input-output model with decomposition method free of residual usually associated with this kind of analysis. This method is different from others, using what we call 'mean rate-of-change index (MRCI)' for weights of the decomposed terms. Ang et al.(1998) asserted that logarithmic mean divisia index(LMDI) is superior to Laspeyres index(LI) or simple average divisia index(SADI) since it reduces residual to zero. We claim that our method is an improvement over the other methods because it enables residual free decomposition even when data contain negative values, the case which LMDI cannot handle. We demonstrate by way of showing some examples that our method is superior to LI, SADI(Proops, 1993 and Chung, 1998) or LMDI(Ang et al., 1998).
This study analyzed the effect of Greenhouse of wood pellet fuel conversing from Diesel. Analyzed through a life cycle assessment of greenhouse gas emissions of carbon dioxide for the environmental assessment, In evaluation of the Ministry of the Environment, analyzed through the life cycle assessment of carbon dioxide emissions of the greenhouse gas and, In the case of economic evaluation, we analyzed the investment payback period to the total revenue generated by each of the calculated incentive based on the RHI and institutions reduction projects a reduction of costs associated with the reduction of fuel costs.
