A bioequivalence study of $Dilast^{TM}$ Capsule (Chong Kun Dang Pharma. Co., Ltd.) to $Ketas^{(R)}$ Capsule (Han Dok Pharma. Co., Ltd.) was conducted according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Twenty eight healthy male Korean volunteers received each medicine at the ibudilast dose of 20 mg in a $2{\times}2$ crossover study. There was one week wash-out period between the doses. Plasma concentrations of ibudilast were monitored by a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for over a period of 36 hours after drug administration. $AUC_t$ (the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 36 hr) was calculated by the linear trapezoidal rule method. $C_{max}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) and $T_{max}$ (time to reach $C_{max}$) were compiled from the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was carried out using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t\;and\;C_{max}$. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters indicating that the crossover design was properly performed. The 90% confidence intervals of the $AUC_t$ ratio and the $C_{max}$ ratio for $Dilast^{TM}$$Capsule/Ketas^{(R)}$ Capsule were $log0.93{\sim}log1.06$ and $log0.93{\sim}log1.11$, respectively. These values were within the acceptable bioequivalence intervals of $log0.80{\sim}log1.25$. Thus, our study demonstrated the bioequivalence of $Dilast^{TM}$ Capsule and $Ketas^{(R)}$ Capsule with respect to the rate and extent of absorption.
Age-related changes in the lens capsule and epithelium of cataractous patients, ranging from 20 to 7o years old, were studied by means or LM, immunohistochemistry, and TEM. The lens capsule was divided into four zones; the anterior, subanterior, middle, and basal zone. The van Gieson staining reaction for collagen was prominent at the anterior and subanterior parts of the lens capsule. The reaction was more decreased in the elder group than the younger group. The collagen type IV reaction was prominent at the anterior zone of the lens capsule and around the cell. The reaction was more decreased in the elder group than the younger group. 3. The Periodic Acid Shiff-Alcian Blue reaction for mucopolysaccharide was prominent at the anterior zone of the lens capsule. The reaction was more decreased in the elder group than the younger group. The Apoptotic reaction was prominent at the nucleus of the lens epithelial cell. In the elder the cataractous group, the number of the apoptotic cells was more decreased. The electron microscopic change of lens epithelial cells were characterized by the increase of lateral fold and the cytoplasm with various vacuoles and Golgi complex. In the basal part, lens epithelial cell protruded toward the lens capsule in the 20-year-old group. The basal part of the 40-year-old group was flattened and covered with the cytoplasmic processes of adjacent cells. In the 60-year-old group, the mass of rough filaments separated lens capsule and the basal part of the lens epithelial cell. The electron microscopic change of the middle part of lens capsule was characterized by the aggregation of electron dense materials in the 40-year-old group, and the appearance of filamentous materials and the decrease of electron dense granules in the 60-year-old group.

Capsule endoscopy is specialized for the observation of small intestine that is difficult to access by general endoscopy. The diagnostic procedure through capsule endoscopy consists of three stages: examination of indicant, endoscopy, and diagnosis. At this time, key information needed for diagnosis includes indicant, lesions, and suspected disease information. In this paper, these information are defined as semantic features and the extracting process is defined as semantic-based analysis. It is performed in whole capsule endoscopy. First, several symptoms of patient are checked before capsule endoscopy to get some information on suspected disease. Next, capsule endoscopy is performed by checking the suspected diseases. Finally, diagnosis is concluded by using supporting information. At this time, some association are used to conclude diagnosis. For example, there are the disease association between the symptom and the disease to identify the expected disease, and the anatomical association between the location of the lesion and supporting information. However, existing knowledge models such as MST and CEST only lists the simple term related to endoscopy and cannot consider such semantic associations. Therefore, in this paper, we propose association-based knowledge model for supporting diagnosis of capsule endoscopy. The proposed model is divided into two; a disease model and anatomical model of small intestine, interesting area(organs) of capsule endoscopy. It can effectively support diagnosis by providing key information for capsule endoscopy.
Purpose : Repair of the posterior capsule tear at the time of the operation for the chronic postero-lateral or postero-medial rotary instability has not been reported. We describe the arthroscopic repair of the posterior capsule tear using the posterior trans-septal portal. Method : After conducting basic arthroscopic examination of the knee, postero-medial and postero-lateral portals are secure to make the posterior trans-septal portal, through which the postero-medial and postero-lateral capsule tears are repaired using the suture hook under the arthroscopic guidance. Conclusion : When arthroscopic reconstruction of PCL insufficiency or postero-lateral rotaty instability that accompanies postero-medial or postero-lateral capsular tears. rising the posterior traits-septal portal could ensure better visualization of the capsule and a subsequent more accurate repair of the capsule. Since it significantly lessened instability, it could contribute to an achievement of successful clinical results.

A wireless capsule endoscope has been developed to replace the conventional endoscope. However, the commercialized capsule endoscope moves passively by peristaltic waves, which has some limitations for doctors to diagnose more thoroughly and actively. In order to solve this problem, a locomotive mechanism is proposed for wireless capsule endoscopes. Based on the tests of various actuators, a piezo actuator is selected as a micro actuator for capsule endoscope. In general, piezo actuators are known to have limited displacement with high voltage supply. In order to overcome the limitation of common piezo actuator, the impact based piezo actuator, is developed to realize long stroke up 11mm. By using the impact based piezo actuator, a prototype of an earthworm-like locomotive mechanism was developed. In addition, the proposed locomotive mechanism has engraved clamps mimicked the claw of an insect. The earthworm-like locomotive mechanism has 15 mm in diameter and 30mm under retraction stage and 41 mm under elongation stage in total length. Hollow space is allocated to comprise essential endoscope components such as a camera, a communication module, bio sensors, and a battery. For the feasibility test of proposed locomotive mechanism, a series of experiments were carried out including in-vitro tests. Based on results of the experiments, we conclude that the proposed locomotive mechanism is effective to be used for micro capsule endoscopes.
This study was conducted to increase the seed yield and to find the interaction of several characters of sesame on the reclaimed upland by application of minor nutrient which were boron, magnesium and zinc. A result of testing of boron and magnesium were effective relatively. Application of boron and magnesium were increased the dry stem wt. of upper capsule setting position, Specially dual application of boron and magnesium were remarkable. Dry stem wt. affected on seed increasing of lower and middle capsule setting part. Capsule no. per plant was showed higher degree in dual B+Mg than each application. Capsule no. affected on increasing of dry stem wt. as well as seed yield also. Capsule no. of lower and upper capsule setting part indicated relation with seed yield, 1000 grains weight. This result showed increasing tendency of upper capsule setting part in B+Mg+Zn application. The products of seed yield indicated the increasing of estimate production at the highest 21% in dual Mg+B, 17% of dual B+Zn+Mg secondly, 12% of single boron application thirdly.
As the cause and the treatment about gastrointestinal disease has been issued recently, the importance of measuring the pressure in the gastrointestinal tract has been increased. However, the conventional measurement methods of the pressure in the gastrointestinal tract cause the patients' pain and inconvenience as well as an inaccurate pressure measurement. In this paper, the pressure monitoring telemetry system has been designed and implemented for an accurate pressure measurement inside the gastrointestinal tract with minimizing pain and inconvenience. The pressure monitoring telemetry system is composed of a pressure measurement capsule and an external receiver. The capsule has been miniaturized into the same size of a vitamin tablet so that the capsule can be swallowed through the oral cavity. After the capsule acquires and encodes the pressure data in the gastrointestinal tract, the encoded pressure data are modulated by frequency shift keying (FSK) and transmitted with ultrahigh frequency (UHF) band signal to the outside of a body. The performance of the telemetry capsule for monitoring pressure in the gastrointestinal tract is demonstrated by the results of animal in-vivo experiments.

The three speices of miroalgae (Chlorella vulgaris, Dunaliella salina and Porphyridium purpureum) were immobilized in Ca-alginate capsules as a basic study for development of economic cultivation process, and then were cultivated in an air-bubble column bioreactor. Under the batch culture of aerobic conditions, the thickness of the capsule membrane and $CO_2$ supply did not affect the growth of the immobilized microalga, Chlorella vulgaris. Cell concentration of immobilized microalgae in the capsule was higher than those of imobilized microalgae in beads and free cells. The cell concentration of microencapsulated Dunaliella salina was greater about 5 times than that of free cells. Based on these results, it is concluded that the application of microencapsulation technology to the culture of microalgae was an effective method for high-density cultivation.

Three types of artificial microparticle diets were developed for rotifer (Brachionus plicatilis) enrichment. The efficacies of enrichment with the artificial diets were evaluated and compared to those with commercial enrichment diets on the growth and survival of flounder larvae. Total lipid content was highest in the rotifer enriched with oil capsule (40.5% in dry weight). The n-3 highly unsaturated fatty acid (n-3 HUFA) content was also highest in the rotifer fed with oil capsule (7.08% in dry weight). The flounder larvae fed on the rotifer enriched with oil capsule showed the highest growth compared to those fed on any other enriched rotifer (P<0.05). The survival ratio of flounder larvae fed on the rotifers enriched with oil capsule and emulsion oil were higher than those fed on any other enriched rotifer (P<0.05). From the feeding study, the growth and survival of flounder larvae were enhanced by feeding rotifer enriched with oil capsule compared to rotifer enriched with any other diets. The rotifer fed on oil capsule containing high contents of n-3 HUFA. Therefore, a significant relationship between the growth and survival of flounder larvae and the n-3 HUFA content of rotifer could be obtained.
This paper is the logical follow-up of four papers by the author on the subject "aerodynamics in Mars atmosphere". The aim of the papers was to evaluate the influence of two Mars atmosphere models (NASA Glenn and GRAM-2001) on aerodynamics of a capsule (Pathfinder) entering the Mars atmosphere and also to verify the feasibility of evaluating experimentally the ambient density and the ambient pressure by means of the methods by McLaughlin and Cassanto respectively, therefore to correct the values provided by the models. The study was carried out computationally by means of: i) a code integrating the equations of dynamics of an entry capsule for the computation of the trajectories, ii) two Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) codes for the solution of the 2-D, axial-symmetric and 3-D flow fields around the capsule in the altitude interval 50-100 km. The computations verified that the entry trajectories of Pathfinder from the two models, in terms of the Mach, Reynolds and Knudsen numbers, were very different. The aim of the present paper is to continue this study, considering other aerodynamic problems and then to provide a contribution to a long series of papers on the subject "aerodynamics in Mars atmosphere". More specifically, the present paper evaluated and quantified the effects from the two models of: i) chemical reactions on aerodynamic quantities in the shock layer, ii) surface temperature, therefore of the contribution of the re-emitted molecules, on local (pressure, skin friction, etc.) and on global (drag) quantities, iii) surface recombination reactions (catalyticity) on heat flux. The results verified that the models heavily influence the flow field (as per the shock wave structure) but, apart from the surface recombination reactions, the effects of the different conditions on aerodynamics of the capsule are negligible for both models and confirmed what already found in the previous paper that, because of the higher values of density from the NASA Glenn model, the effects on aerodynamics of a entry capsule are stronger than those computed by the GRAM-2001 model.
