Evaluation of the implementation and performance of a firm's green supply chain management (GSCM) is an ongoing process. Balanced scorecard is a multi-criteria evaluation concept that highlights implementation and performance measures. The literature on the framework is abundant literature but scarce on how to build a hierarchical framework under uncertainty with dependence relations. Hence, this study proposes a hybrid approach, which includes applied interpretive structural modeling to build a hierarchical structure and uses the analytic network process to analyze the dependence relations. Additionally, this study applies the fuzzy set theory to determine linguistic preferences. Twenty dependence criteria are evaluated for a GSCM implemented firm in Taiwan. The result shows that the financial aspect and life cycle assessment are the most important performance and weighted criteria.

In the current development of magnetic sensors based on the Hall effect, the following two approaches can be distinguished. The first, one tries to build better sensor based on conventional Hall devices. The innovations come through a better understand of the details If the operating principle and secondary effects, and through the application If ever-improving microelectronics technology. In the second approach, one hopes to build better sensors by making use of the Hall effect in active devices, such as magneto-transistors and MAGFET. In this paper, we study magnetic properties of Hall device fabricated with series and parallel multilayers.

So far, little research has been conducted into developing a QAPM (Quality Assurance Process Model) for telecommunications applications on the basis of TMN. This is the first trial of the design of TMN-based QAPM on fault management with UML. A key attribute of the QAPM is that it can easily identify current deficiencies in a legacy system on the basis of TMN architecture. Using an empirical comparison with the legacy systems of a common carrier validates the QAPM as the framework for a future mode of the operation process. The results indicate that this paper can be used to build ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) for a telecommunications fault management solution that is one of the network management application building blocks. The future work of this paper will involve applying the QAPM to build ERP for RTE (Real Time Enterprise) fault management solution and more research on ERP design will be necessary to accomplish software reuse.

The proliferation of electronic commerce(EC) has led manufactureres to consider Internet based marketing as a salient candidate for strategic diversification of marketing channel. In this case, each manufacturer can build its own Web store or rent an existing special EC store. Such decision making of ‘build’ or ‘rent’ can be analyzed by a game model which derives the Nash solutions for price and profit considering degree of competition with other competitive manufacturers. In this paper, to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional linear demand function, we first propose a new linear demand function which incorporates not only the price difference between competitive products but the awareness of Web stores perceived by the consumers, then design the game models to analyze the characteristics of three typical types of marketing channel in duopoly market. Based on the Nash solutions of the game models, we analyzed the effect of the degree of competition and Web awareness in selecting the optimal marketing channel.

As service firms continue to seek unique sources of sustainable competitive advantage, service quality has been discussed as a potential alternative to traditional skills and sources. The information of customers is generally believed to be a key component in creating corporate responsiveness to customer requests. In order to develop and maintain long-term close relationships with customers(CRM), service firms need to build an effective and ongoing service quality information system(SQIS). Service firms that formally collect customer-related information and internal service quality information were to be more responsive. The purpose of the present study is twofold. 1. How to nicely get the information on the service quality. 2. How to build a SQIS. One of numerous examples from financial service-sector firms is given to show that SQIS can be developed to improve service quality. This paper investigates SQIS of a Korean commercial bank as an example. Implications and strategies for building an effective SQIS for financial service-sector firms are discussed, and directions for future research are indicated.

We make optimal consecutive offer curves for an energy storage system (ESS) integrated wind power producer (WPP) in the co-optimized day-ahead energy and regulation markets. We build the offer curves by solving multi-stage stochastic optimization (MSSO) problems based on the scenarios of pairs consisting of real-time price and wind power forecasts through the progressive hedging method (PHM). We also use the rolling horizon method (RHM) to build the consecutive offer curves for several hours in chronological order. We test the profitability of the offer curves by using the data sampled from the Iberian Peninsula. We show that the offer curves obtained by solving MSSO problems with the PHM and RHM have a higher profitability than offer curves obtained by solving deterministic problems.

This study is dealt with a method to enhance low-frequency diffuse sound field in a scaled reverberation chamber. Because scaled reverberation chamber has not enough room volume, as a result, it shows a few room modes. So it is not build up low-frequency diffuse sound field. A Helmholtz resonator's arrangement is used to improve spatial uniformity of sound pressure at low frequency. The spatial distribution of sound field has been measured before and after control. The standard deviation of sound field has decreased at 315Hz 1/3 Octave band.

A kinetic theory analysis is used to study the ultra-thin gas flow field in gas slider hearings. The Boltzmann equation simplified by a collision model is solved by means of a finite difference approximation with the discrete ordinate method. Calculations are made for the flow field inside stepped and straight slider bearings. The results are compared well with those from the DSMC method. Special attention has been paid to the effect of the pressure build-up in front of a hearing, which has never been assessed before. It has been shown that the pressure build-up at the inlet is about $4.5\%$ of the operating pressure and the resulting load capacity is about $25\%$ higher for the case considered in the present study.
