  • In this research, (3-alkyl benzimidazalium)-TCNQ complexes were synthesized to obtain the necessary components for Langmuir-Blodgett Technique. (3- Alkyl benzimidazolium)-TCNQ complexes were prepared by the reaction of LiTCNQ with 3-alkyl benzimidazolium bromides and the products were confirmed by elemental analysis. FT-IR, UV-Visible spectroscopies. FT-IR spectra of (3-alkyl benzimidazolium) TCNQ(1:2) complexes were characterized by a broad band with a maximum at about $2900cm^{-1}$ appears and were ascribed to electronic rather than vibrational absorption.

  • This paper has dealt with the design and analysis methods of the frequency characteristics for the power dividers which are extensively used in CATV and DBS systems. Therefore, the lumped-element circuits have been implemented based on the Wilkinson power divider and the characteristics of the circuits approximated to ideal transformer examined. Then the frequency characteristics are analysised by using even ㆍodd-mode method. Furthermore, in order to improve the characteristics, the optimum design method by adding compensating circuit has been proposed and it has been shown that the characteristics are improved remarkably.

  • The chemical shift of SiOC film was observed according to the flow rate ratio. SiOC film has the broad main band of $880{\sim}1190cm^{-1}$ and the sharp Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$, and the infrared spectra in the Si-O-C bond moved to low frequency according to the increasing of an oxygen flow rate. The chemical shift affected the carbon content in the SiOC film, and the decreasing of carbon atoms elongated the C-H bonding length, relatively. The main bond without the sharp Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$ consisted of Si-C, C-O and Si-O bonds, and became the bonding structure of the Si-O-C bond.

  • A coplanar waveguide employing periodic 3D coupling structures (CWP3DCS) was developed for application in miniaturized on-chip passive components on silicon radio frequency integrated circuits (RFIC). The CWP3DCS showed the shortest wavelength of all silicon-based transmission line structures that have been reported to date. Using CWP3DCS, a highly miniaturized impedance transformer was fabricated on silicon substrate, and the resulting device showed good RF performance in a broad band from 4.6 GHz to 28.6 GHz. The device as was 0.04 mm2 in size, which is only 0.74% of the size of the conventional transformer on silicon substrate.

  • High brightness and long persistent luminescence phosphor $CaAl_2O_4:Eu^{2+}$ was prepared with varying $Eu^{2+}$ concentration by solid state reaction technique. Synthesized materials were investigated by powder X-ray diffractometer (XRD), SEM, TEM, photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra. Broad band UV excited luminescence of the $CaAl_2O_4:Eu^{2+}$ was observed in the blue region (${\lambda}_{max}\;=\;440\;nm$) due to transitions from the $4f^65d^1$ to the $4f^7$ configuration of the $Eu^{2+}$ ion. The decay time of the persistence indicated that the persistent luminescence phosphor has bright phosphorescence and maintains a long duration. These materials have great potential for outdoor night time displays.

  • The chemical shift of SiOC film was observed according to the flow rate ratio. SiOC film had the broad main band of $880\sim1190cm^{-1}$ and the sharp Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$, and the peak position of the main bond in the infrared spectra moved to high frequency according to the increasing of an BTMSM flow rate. So the increment of the alkyl group induced the C-H bond condensation in the film, and shows the blueshift in the infrared spectra. In the case of P5000 system of Applied Materials Corporation, the strong bond of Si-CH3 bond in precursor does not enough to dissociated and ionized, because low plasma energy due to the capactive coupled CVD. Therefore, there was the sharp peak of Si-$CH_3$ bond at $1252cm^{-1}$.

  • Time resolved phosphorescence of Dibromobenzophenone (DBBP) choleic acid crystal was observed at 4.2 K as functions of excitation energy and delay time. The experimental results reveal that the energy transfer efficiency is dependent on the excitation energy, i.e. the density of acceptors sites. As the excitation energy or delay time increases, the resonance phosphorescence does not broaden and shift gradually, rather a broad luminescence band develops about 290 cm?1 to lower energy of the resonance phosphorescence. The observation implies that energy transfer from high to low energy sites in this system is controlled by emission of phonons or vibrons. The data of time resolved experiments were analyzed in terms of a mechanism involving direct donor-acceptor excitation transport by exchange coupling. It was concluded that an isotropic twodimensional exchange interaction topology is consistent with energy transfer in this system.

  • Research on down conversion phosphor materials is the key for the development of solid state lighting (SSL). Especially finding alternative red phosphor for white LEDs based on blue or NUV LEDs are important research task. Under this view, we have synthesized a series of $Eu^{3+}$ substituted $La_2W_{2-x}Mo_xO_9$ (x = 0 ~ 2, insteps of 0.1) red phosphor and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence. XRD results reveal a phase transition from triclinic to cubic structure for $x\;{\geq}\;0$. All the compositions show broad charge transfer band due to charge transfer from oxygen to tungsten/molybdenum and red emission due to $Eu^{3+}$ ions. Select compositions show high red emission intensity compared to the commercial red phosphor under NUV/blue ray excitation. Hence, this candidate can be possible red emitting phosphors for white LEDs.

  • In this paper, an novel optical measuring system based on the electro-optic effect has been proposed and realized using Pockels cell with a view to detecting partial discharge taking place at the needle plane electrode. This system has the following advantages ; nonmetallic probe sensor, immune to external EMI noise and broad band response of the Pockels cell from DC to GHz. And also it is constructed by He-Ne laser, optical fiber, $LiNbO_3$ Pockels cell, photo detector, grin lens, oscilloscope and PC. The characteristics of the developed prototype sensor are investigated under AC and corona discharges.
