The Effect of Family Restaurant Brand Identity on the Purchase Intention of Consumer (패밀리 레스토랑 브랜드 아이덴티티가 소비자의 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • As multinational brands have made inroads into domestic food service industry, and its recognition has been high to consumers, This research has tried to examine the general identity of brand, their recognition, and re-purchase behaviors. The purpose of this study is to inquire into how the brand value by brand identity was caused by recent development of food service industry, and how it had an effect on the purchase behaviors of them. In particular, factors of general identity have a significant effect on the revisit and purchase intention, as the image and ads of family restaurant among brand property factors of family restaurant showed an significant effect on the revisit intention. This study was made with priority given to the brand identity as four brand factors such as product brand, organizational brand, community brand and design brand based on the confidence. Results found that the community brand and design brand had a significant difference on purchase intention. Consequently, it has been suggested that the marketing strategies to make the brand identity strong have to be established with various brand enhancement tactics in the food service industry.

Consumers' Cognition and Buying Behavior of Sports Brand Character (스포츠 브랜드의 캐릭터에 대한 소비자 인식과 구매행동)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the consumers′ cognition and buying behavior on sports brand character. Since the character industries are booming, this study focused on the source and the expression method of sports brand characters that are already known to consumers. Subjects of this study were university students who were interested in sports brand characters, living in Seoul and Kyenggi-do. The questionnaire were developed based on the previous studies. Data were analysed by Frequency analysis, ANOVA, Duncan Test, and Spearman′s Rho. The results were as follows: 1. The most preferred source of sports brands character was "illustrated human figure"(i.e. a famous athlete like Michael Jordan). And the most favorite expression method of character was the combination of letter and symbol as the character of ASICS and NIKE. 2. The important design factors of sports brand character were the symbolism and aesthetics. The consumer recognized NIKE as the most well-designed character design. 3. Consumers′ preference of sports brand was found to be NIKE, REEBOK, ADIDAS, and FILA, in order. The reasons for preference were the design, the brand image, and the quality. On the other hand, the most frequently purchased brand was NIKE, FILA, and ADIDAS in order. Most of the purchase took place in the brand outlet store, and the consumers usually came with their friends for purchase of sports brand. The display of store was the consumers′ major source of information. 4. The preference group of sports brand character recognized more importantly color, design, brand, and especially fashionability than the non-preference group. And the most important criteria for brand selection were design, price, and comfort orderly. 5. Female consumers recognized more importantly color, design, brand, and others′ recommendations than male consumers. The aged consumers recognized importantly durability, comfort, and quality.

A study on the Symbol Mark Design in Fashion Accessory Brands - Focused on Jewelry brand -

  • This study tried to improve the design of the symbol mark for the fashion industry and effectively publicize the brand image of a small fashion accessory company through a powerful visual communication strategy. For this purpose, this study performed research and an analysis of the features of existing fashion accessory companies as well as the current status and features of their utilization of symbol marks for the enhancement of the brand's image. Total 48 fashion accessory brands focued on jewerly were selected from the Dictionary of Fashion Brand and the types of symbol analyzed the concepts and formative aesthetics of the symbol mark design in each brand. Based on the data, this study designed the fashion accessory company's logo and a new symbol mark design. It makes full use of the characteristics of the logos and the symbol mark that reflect the most critical issues of fashion accessory design so as to promote the consumers' level of product recognition as well as the product symbol characteristics. In the case of combining characters with concrete objects, they were found generally to use objects that give elegance, cute and feminine images, such as rings, hearts and small pets. Moreover, colors in the series of black/grey seemed to be used to convey the concept of accessory brands that pursue modern, sophisticate, and practical images. As these design plans, enhancement of the consumers' level of recognition of the brand is attempted as well as the execution of an effective publicity of the feature of the product through the use of the logo and symbol marks reflecting the features of the fashion accessory, instead of simply introducing the brand or product. The result of this study indicates that methods to design brand symbol marks for clothing should be incessantly sought in a way to build brand power as an important component to represent concepts and reinforce brand image.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze jeans market faced with economic difficulties to provide jean's maker with a large representative data base for jeans marketing strategy. This study surveyed jeans market and analyzed brand awareness. brand image and consumer's seeking image for 700 young adults. The 700 questionnaires were distributed at the five locations(Opkujung Shinchon Munjungdong, Shinrimdong '||'&'||' Suwon) and 656 reliable ones were used for statistical analysis. A. SAS statistical package including frequency table factor analysis. analysis of variance. and Duncan's multiple range test was used. The results are as follows : 1. Brand awareness involves "brand recall" based on asking a person to name recalled first and "brand rcognition" based on asking to identify brand name from 30 given brands. The result indicated that "Levis" was dominant for brand recall and Guess was dominant for brand recognition. 2. Regarding the brand image the result showed that "Vov" was best represented for sophisticated '||'&'||' trendy brand images "Storm" for characteristics brand image "Jambangee" for reasonable price '||'&'||' comfortable brand images and "Levis" for classic '||'&'||' design/color brand images. 3. As a result of factor analysis on consumer's seeking image six factors(characteristic/gay, intelligent/sexy, feminine/sophisticated , active/functional, cute/young, simple/comfortable) were found. Several factors had a relationship with demographic variables and preferred design. 4 Many young adults favored following design details ; low waist relaxed thigh with straight leg and long length up to the end of shoes. Also they preferred basic pocket to cargo pocket and simple logo accessories to metal ones.simple logo accessories to metal ones.

A Study on the Characteristics of Branded Environments in Hotel Spaces (호텔 공간의 브랜드화 환경 특성 연구)

  • Nowadays, space branding becomes more important since it reflects and synthesizes the diverse experiences of the consumer. The objective of the research is to present the new possibilities that space branding offers by analyzing the brand strategy and the design characteristics of branded hotels, which are being projected as constructed branded environments. By integrating the brand with visible or invisible elements of the hotel, such as unique space planning, service, and consumer experience, a branded hotel can be a good vehicle to reflect fast changing consumer lifestyles and trends; it enables the consumer to experience brands in his or her everyday life, and it conveys the overall image of the brand by considering the consumer's multi-sensual experiences. The study processed with theoretical research which is related to the hotel space and branded environment. Four brands were selected with distinct business area and brand strategy, and studied to analyze the strategy and the characteristics of the branded environment in a branded hotel. In particular, the case study attempted to evaluate the distinctiveness of the branded hotel's spatial design by comparing each brand's representative flagship store with the hotel. As a result, four characteristics of branded environments in branded hotels were identified, namely, strengthen brand image, consistent brand strategy, extend brand perception, spatialize brand experience. Armani emphasizes their consistent brand image by applying similar design methods in both retail stores and hotel spaces. IKEA, in contrast, applies not their design identity but their brand concepts like practicality, efficiency, and low prices. Pantone gives an expanded brand experience by using synesthetic sensual stimulation using their color system. Missoni mixes and composes their patterns and materials in a three-dimensional manner and strengthens design possibilities and spatiality. This study suggests specific design methods to construct a branded environment in a branded hotel and offers new strategic directions for space branding.

  • The purpose of this these is to study on the environmental design brand for the vitality of corporate image. To achieve the purpose of this study, the methods and contents are as follows: 1. Conforming the concept of the corporate environmental design brand. For that explaining the definition and the tradition of brand and the meaning of corporate identity and corporate environmental design system. 2. Explaining the factors of the corporate environmental design. For that 1) explaining the expression of the corporate identity 2) Explaining the expressive factors of the corporate identity. For that, studying the style and the theme. 3. Studying the cases of the corporate environmental design brand. By these methods and contents, we will study environmental design brand for the vitality of corporate image.

An Exploratory Study on Consumers' Design Sensitivity of Luxury Brand Products and non-Luxury Brand Products and Its Effect on Purchase Intention (명품과 비명품 브랜드에 대한 소비자의 디자인 민감도 차이에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study attempts to explore the design sensitivity of both luxury and non-luxury brand products, and its effect on purchase intention. As a result, there was no difference in design sensitivity between luxury and non-luxury brand product, but the effect of design sensitivity on purchase intention was found different between luxury and non-luxury brand. It shows that for luxury brand, the people with high design pursuit of the brand have high purchase intention while for non-luxury brand, the people with high design value of the brand have high purchase intention. It indicates that for luxury brands, consumers already recognize the value of its design, which does not affect the purchase intention. For non-luxury brands, it would be important to let consumers recognize their design value.

  • This study aims to determine the effects of the experiences of ZEPETO platform users on their attitudes and purchase intentions. A survey on 10-20 Korean and Chinese virtual fashion consumers was conducted. Brand experiences were independent variables, and offline purchase was the dependent variable. The results showed that, first, among the four factors of the brand experience, Korea and China have the highest explanatory power. Second, the brand experience of Korean consumers significantly impacted their brand attitude. Additionally, cognitive and emotional experiences of the brand positively impacted their brand attitude. Third, the brand experience of Chinese consumers significantly affected their brand attitude, and among the sub-factors of brand experience, cognitive experience positively affected brand attitude. Fourth, the brand experience of Chinese consumers significantly influenced their offline purchase intention, and among the sub-factors of brand experience, cognitive experience positively influenced their offline purchase intention. Overall, an emotional branding strategy that provides brand and product information must be implemented for the Korean market encouraging consumers to develop a positive and emotional connection with the brand. The Chinese market would benefit from formulating a reliable branding strategy that easily provides a wide range of brand and product information focusing on cognitive experiences.

A Study on the Design Changes and the Acceptance of Identity on Luxury Brand Bags -Focusing on the Fashion Collections of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel-

  • A luxury brand bag is a medium to symbolize brand identity and plays a role in enhancing brand value. A typical example is a designer signature bag such as Hermes Kelly Bag, Birkin Bag, and Lady Dior Bag. The purpose of this study is to analyze the design changes and acceptance of identity of luxury brand bags and examine the design characteristics that succeed to the value of a luxury brand bag. The subjects of the study focused on Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel bags. Photos were collected from www.vogue.co. uk. based on the fashion collections from S/S 2007 to S/S 2016. The study methodology was to analyze the kinds, shapes, colors, materials, and the ornament of subject bags based on previous studies. The results of the study were summarized as follows. For the identity and design changes of each brand, Chanel has tried to combine functionality pursued in the past with constantly changing femininity by making bags in fantastic moods using various materials and free shapes. Gucci has constantly used Ornament elements holding the brand identity of classic bags and trend colors to keep tradition. Louis Vuitton holds fast to its functional shape to protect brand identity through design philosophy that started with a travel luggage and attempts to express modern emotion through Ornament changes. This study confirmed that luxury brands have accepted their unique design characteristics holding brand identity to improve their brand value and attempted to change constructive elements in many different ways for modern reinterpretation.

  • Recently, the reconsideration of the worth of Brand marketing asked marketers and designers alike to deal with the reappearance of Brand marketing on the web environment. The most significant changes are the appearing numerous Brand Sites and the efforts of Brand marketing on the internet. For this paper, I first study about the concept of Brand Sites, and then research the sites from various industrial fields which are selected as a leading Brand by consumers. Through this research, I inspect the realities of applying multimedia contents on domestic Brand web sites, and consider the effects they might have in the building of Brand Images on web sites. In Conclusion, I suggest that the design strategies for applying multimedia contents in the Brand Sites. The purpose of this study is for extending the design opportunities for multimedia contents in the internet. Furthermore, I am continuing my research through studying the interrelationship between Brand recognition and multimedia content usage that are appearing on Brand Sites.
