영화 〈블루프린트〉 속에 투영된 인간복제 모티프의 특성 (Characteristic of the Human Cloning Motif in Feature 〈Blueprint〉)

  • 현실세계에서의 인간복제에 관련된 생명과학의 급속한 발전은 앞서거니 뒤서거니 영화 속에 투영되며, 멀지 않은 미래에 대한 다양한 인간 군상의 시나리오와 그에 파생되는 화두를 우리에게 던지고 있다. 특히 체세포복제술이 보편화된 이후로 인간복제는 영화 속에서도 보다 새롭고 구체적인 모습으로 그려지고 있는 데, 이 글에서는 그 중에서도 인간복제의 다양한 철학적 문제들에 대한 성찰이 투영된 영화 <블루프린트>를 중심으로 영화 속의 인간복제 모티프의 특성에 대해 고찰해보았다. 이 글은 체세포복제술 개념의 출현과 발전이 철학적 인간학의 문제로 귀결되고, 특히 복제인간의 자기동일성과 비자연성의 문제가 영화 <블루프린트>에서 캐릭터의 욕망과 딜레마로 투영되는 것을 살펴보았다. 또한 원본인간과 복제인간이자, 실제 낳고 기른 친모와 딸이라는 이중적인 관계의 설정과 장르적 특성을 배제한 드라마타이즈는 이 작품이 위와 같은 문제의식에 천착하고 있음을 반증하고 있다고 보았다. 그리고 이에 적절히 부응하는 서사적 평행성을 갖는 플롯 설계와 더불어 다양한 영화적 표현과 기법 들을 통해 일관된 접근 태도와 주제 의식으로 인간복제 모티프의 특성을 효과적으로 강화하고 있음을 고찰하였다.

Introducing Network Situation Awareness into Software Defined Wireless Networks

  • The concept of SDN (Software Defined Networking) endows the network with programmability and significantly improves the flexibility and extensibility of networks. Currently a plenty of research works on introducing SDN into wireless networks. Most of them focus on the innovation of the SDN based architectures but few consider how to realize the global perception of the network through the controller. In order to address this problem, a software defined carrier grade Wi-Fi framework called SWAN, is proposed firstly. Then based on the proposed SWAN architecture, a blueprint of introducing the traditional NSA (Network Situation Awareness) into SWAN is proposed and described in detail. Through perceiving various network data by a decentralized architecture and making comprehension and prediction on the perceived data, the proposed blueprint endows the controllers with the capability to aware of the current network situation and predict the near future situation. Meanwhile, the extensibility of the proposed blueprint makes it a universal solution for software defined wireless networks SDWNs rather than just for one case. Then we further research one typical use case of proposed NSA blueprint: network performance awareness (NPA). The subsequent comparison with other methods and result analysis not only well prove the effectiveness of proposed NPA but further provide a strong proof of the feasibility of proposed NSA blueprint.

  • All machines and systems in a firm should be managed for optimizing its productivity. Actually, however, it is hard to manage the machines of a firm in collective methods because the company making each machine varies and the way maintaining each machine is various. As a machine Is out of order, the machine is fixed by the repair person from the company making the machine. Every time comes repair person to fix a machine firm having the machine would experience time loss and cost loss. Therefore, a firm needs to manage blueprint of their machine to reduce loss in time and cost and to maintain their facilities in TPM(Total Productive Management) to make operators manage directly. In this study, we suggest the method to manage a blueprint of a machine with TPM.

Best Practices on Improving the Virtual Reality (VR) Content Development Process with EPIC's Unreal Engine

  • Recently, in the Game industries, they are increasing to use of game engines to reduce the development cost of 3D content and software. In particular, Unreal Engine provides a blueprint visual scripting function that enables software production without programming (coding). Although High-end video content can be produced, the problem is that content development is complicated and requires advanced manpower. To solve this problem, we propose an optimized VR game context process. This is because 1) a Blueprint visual script is used, 2) VR games with various interactions can be produced, 3) Non-majors in the software field (or groups) can develop advanced content. In various related industries such as defense, medical care, manufacturing, and construction, we may easily develop any game content without programming with our refined VR rhythm action game development process. We expect to reduce the development cost with the process advantages in the game industries.

문화재의 3D 스캔 데이터로부터 도면을 생성하기 위한 자동화된 실루엣 추출 방법 (Automated Silhouette Extraction Method for Generating a Blueprint from 3D Scan Data of Cultural Asset)

  • 본 논문에서는 문화재의 실측된 3D 스캔(scan) 데이터로부터 내부문양 및 실루엣(silhouette)을 효과적으로 추출할 수 있는 자동화된 실루엣 추출 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 먼저 3D 벡터 데이터의 에지리스트(edge list)를 생성하고, 시점에 따라 윤곽 에지(contour edge)와 주름 에지(crease edge)를 결정한다. 다음으로 주름 에지에서 인접면들의 벡터 변화량을 검사하여 표면 실루엣을 추출한 후, 최종적으로 문화재의 도면(blueprint) 생성을 위한 윤곽 실루엣과 표면 실루엣을 추출한다. 제안한 실루엣 추출 방법의 성능 평가를 위하여 전통 기와, 자동차 및 석탑 데이터를 이용한 실루엣 추출 실험을 진행하였다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 임계값을 이용한 실루엣 추출 방법에서 불필요한 에지까지도 실루엣을 형성하는 것을 보완하여, 잡음과 같은 의미 없는 에지들을 효과적으로 제거함으로써 더욱 선명하고 깨끗한 실루엣 및 내부 문양을 추출하였다.

이동최소자승법 최적화를 이용한 도면 배치 (Positioning Blueprints with Moving Least Squares Optimization)

  • 우리는 최적화된 이동최소자승법으로 구축된 벡터장을 이용하여 도면의 배치를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 전문 건축설계사무소에서는 특정영역에 건물들을 배치시키기 위해 디자이너가 수동으로 직접 위치를 결정하기 때문에 처리 비용이 클 뿐만 아니라 작업시간도 오래 걸린다. 이 비효율적인 문제를 해결하기 위해 우리는 최적화된 이동최소자승법을 기반으로 도면의 배치를 자동으로 결정할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 프레임워크에서는 우선 디자이너가 실제 건축설계를 원하는 사업장 영역을 선택하고 이 영역을 기반으로 지형의 흐름을 계산한다. 이동최소자승법을 최적화시켜 벡터장을 추출하고, 이 벡터장을 기반으로 도면의 회전 양을 결정한다. 제안된 방법으로 얻어진 도면배치는 실제로 건물을 배치할 때 나타나는 흐름과 매우 유사한 특징을 갖고 있으며, 결과적으로 디자이너의 비효율적인 노동력을 줄여 전반적인 건축설계과정의 효율성을 한층 높였다.

  • In the mechanical design process various types of errors are bound to occur. In order to prevent such mechanical malfunctions and decrease number of instances of errors, various technique are utilized. The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the combined service Blueprint and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) by applying such method to machine process. The results are as follows: First, modification can be obtained by discovering the failure mode hidden within the inner side of the blueprint. Second, issues within the company are found when conducting the machine design process that is not visible from the outside. Therefore, potential errors can be effectively resolved by preventing failure mode in advance and eventually high quality of the product could be obtained as well as its reliability.

  • As industires are evolving into a more advanced type industrial system, service economy has been more emphasized. But with the expansion of the service economy, the failure of the service has also increased. Customers flee caused by the service failure leads to from simple problems like financial loss to serious problems like damaging corporate image. Therefore, if possible, the system providing defect-free service should be established. If this is not possible, preventive measures should be taken in order to minimize the failure. The study as a tool to prevent service failure presents the concepts "service error matrix." And to confirm whether this idea is practical or not, this study investigated the hotel, one of the leading service industries, about actually occurring service failure and applied to service error matrix suggested in this study. Finally service blueprint and Poka-yoke are completed in order to reduce service failure of Y hotel which was the object of the interview for this study.

서비스 만족지수를 고려한 서비스 설계 (On the Service Design Using Service Satisfaction Index)

  • This paper proposed a service satisfaction index in the service design. We utilize the service blueprint as the basic tool for the service process analysis, construct a service flow fishbone diagram which consists of the encounters representing the interaction between customer and service deliverer. To evaluate the service satisfactions of the service element a service satisfaction function is used. The service satisfaction function has the generic properties of the prospect theory with the probabilistic utility value in order to evaluate the service bundle which Is constructed by tangible and intangible service elements. A numerical example using the A/S service of Electronic Co. is presented for the verification.

Designing an Assessment to Measure Students' Inferential Reasoning in Statistics: The First Study, Development of a Test Blueprint

  • Accompanied with ongoing calls for reform in statistics curriculum, mathematics and statistics teachers purposefully have been reconsidering the curriculum and the content taught in statistics classes. Changes made are centered around statistical inference since teachers recognize that students struggle with understanding the ideas and concepts used in statistical reasoning. Despite the efforts to change the curriculum, studies are sparse on the topic of characterizing student learning and understanding of statistical inference. Moreover, there are no tools to evaluate students' statistical reasoning in a coherent way. In response to the need for a research instrument, in a series of research study, the researcher developed a reliable and valid measure to assess students' inferential reasoning in statistics (IRS). This paper describes processes of test blueprint development that has been conducted from review of the literature and expert reviews.
