We deal with the design of the effective block logistics operating system in shipyard. The block logistics operation is one of the critical managerial problems in shipbuilding. The block logistics operation in shipyard consists of storage operation for temporary storage in the limited storage area and transfer equipment operation of blocks from the given storage area to next process according to the block production schedule. We propose a design method of block logistics operating system based on the axiomatic design and IDEF0 method. As a result of axiomatic design, system functions are determined regarding implementation sequence. We validated the proposed design by implementation of a block logistics operating system for a large scale shipyard.

The current GPS constellation consists of 32 Block IIA/IIR/IIR-M satellites including 12 Block IIA satellites on service over 15 years. The satellites in poor space conditions may suffer from anomalies, especially influenced by aging atomic clocks which are of importance positioning and timing. Recently, the IGS Ultra-rapid predicted products have not shown acceptably high quality prediction performance because the Block IIA cesium clocks may be easily affected by various factors such as temperature and environment. The anomalies of aging clocks involve lower performance of positioning in the GPS applications. We, thus, describe satellite clock behaviors and anomalies induced by aging clocks and their detection technologies to avoid such anomalies.

We present a fast adaptive block matching algorithm using characteristic of the motion vector distribution. In the presented method, the block is classified into one of four motion categories: stationary block, quasi-stationary block, medium-motion block or high-motion block according to characteristic of the MAD(0,0) distribution for motion vector, each block estiamtes the motion vector adaptively. By the simulation, the PSNR of our algorithm is similar to NTSS method. The computation amount of the presented method decreased 30.44% ~ 40.27% more than NTSS method.
In this paper, we present a new cost function for subband block adaptive algorithm and block conjugate gradient algorithm for noise cancellation of acoustic signal. For the cost function, we process the subband signals with data blocks for each subbands and recombine it a whole data block. After these process, the cost function has a quadratic form in adaptive filter coefficients, it guarantees the convergence of the suggested block conjugate gradient algorithm. And the block conjugate gradient algorithm which minimizes the suggested cost function has better performance than the case of full-band block conjugate gradient algorithm, the computer simulation results of noise cancellation show the efficiency of the suggested algorithm.

Recursive Partial Least Squares(RPLS) method has been used for processing the on-line available multivariate chemical process data and modeling adaptive prediction model for process changes. However, RPLS method is unstable in PLS model updating because RPLS method updates PLS model by merging past PLS model and new data. In this study, Adaptive Predictive Partial Least Squres(APPLS) method is suggested for more sensitive adaptation to process changes. By expanding APPLS method, block-wise Adaptive Predictive Partial Least Squares(block-wise APPLS) method is suggested for a lager scale data of chemical processes. APPLS method has been applied to predict the reactor properties and the product quality of a direct esterification reactor for polyethylene terephthalate(PTT), and block-wise APPLS method has been applied to predict the cetane number using NIR Diesel Spectra data. APPLS and block-wise APPLS methods show better prediction and updating performance than RPLS method.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate flexural strength of full zirconia crown using block after clinical work. Methods: The three point bending test was used to measure the flexural strength of zirconia block. Statistical analysis was done using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 19.0 for Windows. As for the analysis methods, the study used analysis of variance, Tukey's test. Results: The ave Rage value of flexural strengths of WIELAND, Zirkonzahn, Hass, D-MAX were 516.2 MPa, 612.6MPa, 566.2MPa, 744.6MPa. The ave Rage value of Surface Roughness of WIELAND, Zirkonzahn, Hass, D-MAX were 0.39Ra, 0.33Ra, 0.33Ra, 0.47Ra. Conclusion: Flexural strength of zirconia block decreased after clinical work. Flexural strength of zirconia block is equal to or higher than flexural strength of dental metal, so zirconia block can be used as dental material.
Modal expansion technique (MET) is a method to estimate the vibration fields of flexible structures by using eigenmodes of the structure and the signals of sensors. It is the useful method to estimate the vibration fields but has the truncation error since it only uses the limit number of the eigenmodes in the frequency of interest. Even though block-wise MET performed frequency block by block with different valid eigenmodes was developed, it still has the truncation error due to the absence of other eigenmodes. Thus, this paper suggested an improved block-wise modal expansion technique. The technique recovers the truncation errors in one frequency block by utilizing other eigenmodes existed in the other frequency blocks. It was applied for estimating the vibration fields of a cylindrical shell. The estimated results were compared to the vibration fields of the forced vibration analysis by using two indices: the root mean square error and parallelism between two vectors. These indices showed that the estimated vibration fields of the improved block-wise MET more accurately than those of the established METs. Especially, this method was outstanding for frequencies near the natural frequency of the highest eigenmode of each block. In other words, the suggested technique can estimate vibration fields more accurately by recovering the truncation errors of the established METs.

The purpose of this study was to utilize of apparel CAD System by the classification of the basic pattern block in pattern making process. Gerber AM-300 CAD System was used for this study. The results form this study were as follows; 1. New shirts block were developed. 2. The sensory test was applied to evaluate the new shirts block for women by comparing it with Japanese Bunka shirts blouse pattern making method. According to a statistical analysis of the result of the 20 items on the questionnaire, the 19 items showed significant difference(${\alpha}{\leq}0.01$)between the two, with the new shirts block having higher scores. 3. A basic pattern block was selected by the design sketch. 4. P/D/S were enabled to be constructed directly from a block pattern. The drawing, deletion. duplication, and movement of all points and lines in the pattern might be made freely, and the split, pivot, and movement of the pattern, and the attachment of two patterns were possible. 5. Automatic grading of finished pattern have been developed by creation and modification of grading rules of block pattern.
This research objective is to determine the optimal price break points for nblock tariff, because comparing nonlinear pricing with uniform pricing on the basis of profit, nblock tariff outperforms twopart tariff, all unit discount price schedule, and uniform pricing. Although the merits of nonlinear pricing are well documented, the attempt to practice the non-linear pricing in medical service sector has been relatively rare. The determination of the parameters under nblock tariff is the interesting decision making agenda for marketers. Under nblock tariff, the marketers should decide the optimal price break points and the optimal marginal price for each price zone. The results can be summarized as follows: The researchers found that mixture model can be the feasible methodology for determining the optimal number of nblock tariff and identifying the optimal segmentation criteria. We demonstrate the feasibility and the superiority of the mixture model by applying it to the database of medical examination. The results appear that the number of patients per month can be the optimal segmentation variable. And 6block tariff is the optimal price break for this medical service.

This study aims at the new design system development of landscape architecture structures, as soundproof wall using reinforced soil block. This structures, that is new soundproof wall system, have to be maintained stability on acting critical wind load, which is combined exist soundproof wall system and soundproof wall system using environmental green stone block. To the harmony of this system, the post block, so-called landscape block or cast block, is manufactured. It's possible to stand of the post bearing system combined with post-pile and post block. Through the comparison with a serious code for the acting wind load on the soundproof wall, the reasonable wind load could be calculated. Also, the mechanical stability on the green stone block was checked by the Lab. tests based on the UBC (Uniformed Building Code). Because the critical height of soundproof wall system using green stone generally was restricted, the new system demands to combination of the exist system and the new system. For the stability analysis of them, the utility program, SAP2000, was used. And, a semi-auto program on the design system of the new soundproof wall using green stone was developed, which can be easily use because of the simplification.
