Shinyeojuryeom is a set of bamboo blinds[Juryeom] enclosing the Korean litter for transporting a mortuary tablet of royal family[Shinyeo] in Joseon dynasty. The blinds were made up of twigs laid horizontally which were joined together by vertical threading, then they were lined and backed with silk fabric. A number of historical documents such as Gukjosangryebopyeon(1758), JeongjoGukjangdogameuigwe(1800) and Gukjangdogam- myeongseseo(1905) provide information on material and structure of the litter and blinds. How- ever, detailed dimensions or specific ingredients of some of the materials were not clearly explained. In order to complement these missing or unclear parts, a close examination and scientific analysis of the litter's material was undertaken. The result newly identified materials of the gold tip tassels and pigments used on twigs as well as partly confirmed information on historical records. This new information will help further understanding and future production of a replica.

This paper investigated the applicability of polyester yarn coating using ther- moplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) to replace polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated yarn for blinds fabric. For this purpose, suitable TPEE for yarn coating was selected by measuring thermal and rheological properties and the yarn coating process conditions were investigated by changing variables such as extrusion temperature, die and nipple dimensions, take-up speed, and core yarn denier. TPEE coated yarns with a diameter of 0.3 and 0.4 mm were prepared, respectively. Tensile properties and cross-section uniformity revealed by a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the TPEE coated yarn were analyzed. Among several candidates, TPEE having a melt index of 35 and melting temperature of 153℃ was the most suitable for replacing PVC, and the opti- mum coating conditions for the TPEE coating yarn were a head temperature of 170℃ and core yarn denier of 420 denier. The selected TPEE coated yarns have enough ten- sile strength and uniformity to replace present PVC coated yarns, certified by SEM photograph.

본 연구는 최근 직물커튼의 대용으로 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 버티컬 브라인드와 롤 스크린을 대상으로 방염제품과 비 방염제품의 연소차이를 규명하여 방염의 필요성을 확인하고 방염제품의 방염성능 지속성을 실험을 통하여 규명하고자 소방대상물에 설치되어 장기간 사용한 버티컬 브라인드와 롤 스크린을 수거하여 세탁 전 후의 방염성능을 확인한다. 이 결과를 토대로 방염제품의 성능을 규명하고 외국의 방염관련 법규와 국내 방염관련 법규의 비교분석을 통하여 국내 방염법규의 확대적용 필요성과 개선점을 도출함을 목적으로 한다. 연구결과, 방염제품과 비 방염제품과의 성능과 안전성은 확연한 차이를 볼 수 있었다. 방염제품은 불꽃과 접하면 바로 연소를 하며 용융하고 단지 착화하지 않으므로 연소 확대를 막을 수 있다는 이점이 있다. 반면 비방염제품은 120 cm의 시험체가 전소하는데 불과 3분도 걸리지 않는 다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이를 실제 화재에 적용시 연소확대에 큰 차이를 보일 것이다. 내세탁성이 없는 브라인드의 경우 세탁을 하면 방염성능이 현저하게 감소할 것으로 예상을 했으나 세탁전과 비교하여 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 따라서 방염브라인드도 내 세탁성을 가질 수 있음을 입증하였고 엄격한 생산과정을 통한 내구성의 유지에 관심을 가져야 하겠다.

본 논문은 전통문화의 현대화, 대중화 차원에서 담양지역의 죽세공예 및 죽세산업에 대해서 소비자 및 생산업체를 대상으로 설문조사 하였으며, 특정 죽세품인 대발을 가지고 다양한 소재, 기법, 디자인을 적용하여 샘플실험 및 작품을 제작하였다. 소비자 대상의 설문조사는 새로운 디자인 개발에 의한 다양한 용도의 제품개발에 대한 매우 높은 선호도 및 구매의사를 보여 향후 신제품 개발 및 디자인 개선의 필요성을 시사하고 있다. 생산업체 또한 새로운 디자인 적용에 의한 신제품개발에 관심이 높으며 전문기관의 디자인 지원을 가장 바라고있었다. 대발개발을 위한 실험조사 결과는 새로운 섬유재료, 천연염색, 현대적 디자인의 조합을 통해 오늘날의 소비자에 소구할 수 있는 제품개발 가능성을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 전통문화의 재창조를 위한 하나의 좋은 사례가 될 것으로 생각되며, 전문기관과 생산업체 간의 산학협동을 통해 전통문화의 제품화·상용화를 기할 수 있다는 점을 제안했다.
