One of the most widely used image media in recent years, omni-directional panorama images are attracting much attention. Since this image is ultra-high value-added, the intellectual property of this image must be protected. In this paper, we propose a blind digital watermarking method for this image. In this paper, we assume that the owner of each original image may be different, insert different watermark data into each original image, and extract the watermark from the projected image, which is a form of service of omni- directional panorama image. Therefore, the main target attack in this paper is the image distortion which occurs in the process of the omni- directional panorama image. In this method, SIFT feature points of non-stitched areas are used, and watermark data is inserted into data around each feature point. We propose two methods of using two-dimensional DWT coefficients and spatial domain data as data for inserting watermark. Both methods insert watermark data by QIM method. Through experiments, these two methods show robustness against the distortion generated in the panorama image generation process, and additionally show sufficient robustness against JPEG compression attack.

Medical image watermarking has received extensive attention as wide security services in the healthcare information system. This paper proposes a blind medical image watermarking approach on the segmented gray-matter (GM) images by utilizing discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and discrete cosine transform (DCT) along with enhanced suppressed fuzzy C-means (EnSFCM) for the optimal selection of sub-blocks position to insert a watermark. Experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms other methods in terms of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) and M-SVD. In addition, the proposed approach shows better robustness than other methods in normalized correlation (NC) values against several attacks, such as noise addition, filtering, JPEG compression, blurring, histogram equalization, and cropping.

In order to improve the embedding rate of reversible watermarking algorithm for digital image and enhance the imperceptibility of the watermarked image, an adaptive reversible image watermarking algorithm based on DE is proposed. By analyzing the traditional DE algorithm and the generalized DE algorithm, an improved difference expansion algorithm is proposed. Through the analysis of image texture features, the improved algorithm is used for embedding and extracting the watermark. At the same time, in order to improve the embedding capacity and visual quality, the improved algorithm is optimized in this paper. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can not only achieve the blind extraction, but also significantly heighten the embedded capacity and non-perception. Moreover, compared with similar algorithms, it is easy to implement, and the quality of the watermarked images is high.

In this paper, we propose a robust blind watermarking scheme for high-definition video. In the embedding process, luminance component of each frame is transformed by 2-dimensional fast Fourier transform (2D FFT). A secret key is used to generate a matrix of random numbers for the security of watermark information. The matrix is transformed by inverse steerable pyramid transform (SPT). We embed the watermark into the low and mid-frequency of 2D FFT coefficients with the transformed matrix. In the extraction process, the 2D FFT coefficients of each frame and the transformed matrix are transformed by SPT respectively, to produce two oriented sub-bands. We extract the watermark from each frame by cross-correlating two oriented sub-bands. If a video is degraded by some attacks, the watermarks of frames contain some errors. Thus, we use an ensemble position-based error correcting algorithm to estimate the errors and correct them. The experimental results show that the proposed watermarking algorithm is imperceptible and moreover is robust against various attacks. After embedding 64 bits of watermark into each frame, the average peak signal-to-noise ratio between original frames and embedded frames is 45.7 dB.

In the event of a traffic accident, a fire accident, or a criminal act, anyone will be able to capture these important moments and use authentic photographs for evidence purposes. Digital watermarking is able to ensure that the digital photographs taken from a particular camera-phone are authentic and indeed. This paper presents a blind image watermarking technique for digital phone camera. This method is based on singular value decomposition (SVD) and wavelet decomposition. Experimental results show that the proposed technique performs well in security and robustness against JPEG compression.
The discrete wavelet transform (DWT) has good multi-resolution decomposition characteristic and its low frequency component contains the basic information of an image. Based on this, a fragile watermarking using the local binary pattern (LBP) and DWT is proposed for image authentication. In this method, the LBP pattern of low frequency wavelet coefficients is adopted as a feature watermark, and it is inserted into the least significant bit (LSB) of the maximum pixel value in each block of host image. To guarantee the safety of the proposed algorithm, the logistic map is applied to encrypt the watermark. In addition, the locations of the maximum pixel values are stored in advance, which will be used to extract watermark on the receiving side. Due to the use of DWT, the watermarked image generated by the proposed scheme has high visual quality. Compared with other state-of-the-art watermarking methods, experimental results manifest that the proposed algorithm not only has lower watermark payloads, but also achieves good performance in tamper identification and localization for various attacks.
A blind video watermarking scheme for providing safety, authenticity, and copyright protection is proposed in this paper, which is robust to MPEG-4 SVC and multimedia transcoding. In proposed method, embedding and detecting of watermark is performed based on base layer with considering spatial SVC. To be robust from temporal SVC, our method embeds repeatedly a permutated character with ordering number per one frame. Also for robustness from multimedia transcoding and FGS, the method is embedded watermark in low middle frequency of each frame adaptively based on DCT in ROI. Through experimental results, invisibility of the watermark is confirmed and robustness of the watermark against the spatial SVC, temporal SVC, FGS and video transcoding between MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 SVC is also verified.

In this paper, we present a watermarking method for 3-D mesh sequences. The main idea is to transform vertex norm with the identical connectivity index along temporal axis using wavelet transform and modify the distribution of wavelet coefficients in temporally high (or middle) frequency frames according to watermark bit to be embedded. All vertices are divided into groups, namely bin, using the distribution of coefficients in low frequency frames. As the vertices with the identical connectivity index over whole frames belong to one bin, their wavelet coefficients are also assigned into the same bin. Then, the watermark is embedded into the wavelet coefficients of vertex norm. Due to the use of the distribution, our method can retrieve the hidden watermark without any information about original mesh sequences in the process of watermark detection. Through simulations, we show that the proposed is flirty robust against various attacks that are probably concerned in copyright protection of 3-D mesh sequences.
This paper describes an audio watermarking using Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) on significant peaks in frequency domain. The audio signal is broken up into L samples length frames with non-overlapping and rectangular window. The zero-crossing rate of each frame is calculated for decision whether it is proper to be watermarked or not. If the frame is legitimate, frequency magnitude response is computed by discrete Fourier transform. For the QIM, we set the quantization step size based on maximum value of frequency magnitude response and select n significant peaks with w samples around them in frequency domain, totally $n{\times}(w+1)$ samples. Finally, watermark embedding is performed. Decoder extract watermarks based on Euclidean distance, that is a blind detection. The proposed method is robust against many attacks of watermark benchmark.

We propose an efficient video watermarking scheme using re-estimation and minimum modification technique of motion vectors. Conventional methods based on motion vectors do watermarking using modification of motion vectors. However, change of motion vectors results in the degradation of video quality. Thus, our scheme minimizes the modification of the original motion vectors and replaces an original motion vector by the adjacent optimal motion vector using re-estimation of motion vectors to avoid degradation of video quality. Besides, our scheme guarantees the amount of embedded watermark data using the adaptive threshold considering for an efficient video watermarking. In addition, this is compatible with current video compression standards without changing the bitstream. Experimental result shows that the proposed scheme obtains better video quality than other previous algorithms by about $0.6{\sim}1.3\;dB$.
