강의식교수법과 프로그램식교수법에 의한 참고정보원의 학습효과 비교연구 (A comparison of the effects of a programmed instruction method and a lecture/laboratory method on achievement in a course in reference materials)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of programmed instruction versus lecture and discussion method on the knowledge of basic reference sources among undergraduate library and information science students. The hypotheses of the study were: 1. Programmed instruction will be more effective than the lecture/discussion method with regard to academic achievement. 2. There will be a significant difference in learning time between the experimental and the control groups. Seventy-eight library and information science students were participated m the study from the two universities in Chungchong Province. A programmed instruction manual, including 4-types of reference sources-dictionary, encyclopaedia, bibliography, indexes and abstracts, 40-item multiple choice post-test, and a questionnaire for the students' attitude toward programmed instruction were developed specifically for this research. The post-test only control-group design was selected for this experimental study. Students were given instruction on the specific reference titles in dictionary, encyclopedia, bibliography, indexes and abstracts. The control group was instructed by the lecture and discussion method while the experimental group completed a programmed instruction manual by themselves. Both the control and the experimental group were tested right after the instruction of 4-types of reference sources. In addition, a questionnaire asking students' attitude toward programmed instruction was administered to the experimental group. The findings from this study are summarized as follows: 1. The results showed that there were no significant difference in the mean of the post test score between the two groups. Therefore, programmed instruction is viable as an alternative method of instruction in the teaching of reference sources. 2. There was a significant difference in the mean of time spending for the leaning of bibliography, indexes and abstracts between the two groups. Accordingly, programmed instruction proved to be more efficient than the conventional lecture/discussion method in terms of learning time. 3. Students showed positive response to programmed instruction and evaluated it very interesting and challenging. In conclusion, the programmed instruction method was just as effective as the lecture/discussion method in the teaching of reference sources. And students' attitude toward the programmed instruction was favorable enough to secure a continued use of this method for the teaching of reference sources.

  • 주제전문사서의 적절한 교육적 배경에 관한 국내외 학자들의 의견은 다양한데 우리나라의 경우, 문헌정보학이 학부과정에 개설되어 있으므로 주제전문사서의 양성방안으로 가장 많이 거론되는 것이 학부제의 부전공$\cdot$복수전공제도를 활용하는 방안이다. 하지만 그 보다는 먼저 문헌정보학 전공교과목내에서의 접근가능성부터 시도해 봐야 할 것이라고 생각한다. 문헌정보학과의 교과목 중 주제전문사서를 직$\cdot$간접적으로 양성하기 위한 과목은 '주제서지'과목이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주제서지 과목의 과제를 통해 주제전문사서를 양성하는 방안을 제시하고 있다. 이를 위해 법률학과 로폼도서관이 사례과제로 탐구되었고 법률주제전문사서를 위한 법률주제서지가 제시되었다.

Astronomical Books and Charts in the Book of Bibliographie Coreenne

  • We investigate astronomical materials listed in the book of Bibliographie Coreenne written by Maurice Courant. He classified ancient Korean books into nine Divisions (部) and thirty six Classes (類), and published them as three volumes (ranging from 1894 to 1896) and one supplement (in 1901). In total, 3,821 books including astronomical ones are listed together with information on physical size, possessional place, bibliographical note, and so forth. Although this book is an essential one in the field of Korea bibliography and contains many astronomical materials such as Cheon-Mun-Ryu-Cho 天文類抄, Si-Heon-Seo 時憲書, and Cheon-Sang-Yeol-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do 天象列次分野之圖, it has not been well known to the public nor to astronomical society. Of 3,821 catalogues, we found that about 50 Items (種) are related to astronomy or astrology, and verified that most of them are located in the Kyujanggak Royal Library 奎章閣. We also found an unknown astronomical chart, Hon-Cheon-Chong-Seong-Yeol-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do 渾天總星列次分野之圖. Because those astronomical materials are not well known to international astronomical community and there have been few studies on the materials in Korea, we here introduce and review them, particularly with the astronomical viewpoint.

「규장총목」의 목록기술방식에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Bibliographical Description of the Gyujang-chongmok, or the Annotated Classified Bibliography of Books in Gyujanggak)

  • 본 논문은 조선시대에 서호수(徐浩修)가 정조의 왕명으로 편찬한 분류순 해제목록인 "규장총목(奎章總目)"의 목록기술방식에 대해 연구한 것이다. 목록기술은 표제, 책수, 저작시대 및 생존연대, 저자명, 저작역할어, 기타 특기할만한 목록기술 사례 등으로 구분하여 각각의 특성을 살펴보았다. 이 "규장총목"은 상당히 통일성을 갖춘 목록기술방식을 설정하여 저록을 작성하였다는 점에서 한국목록기술사상 큰 의미를 부여할 수 있겠다.

문헌조사법의 내용구조에 관한 고찰 (A study on content structure of literature search methodology)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the educational literature search methodology objectives and the content structure of a course in bibliography. The content of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. The concept and domain of literature search methodology, which has traditionally gone by the name of a guide to use of literature and library, are described. 2. The need of incorporating the methodology into regular college curriculum was investigated in view of the ideology of college education. 3. The background, process, and current status of offering a course in the methodology as a part of regular college curriculum were examined. 4. The educational objective of a course in the methodology was set at the successful activities in self study, life-long-education, and special topic research. 5. Considering the fact that technical knowledge and propositional knowledge should be realized simultaneously, that educational experience should go hand in hand with materials and library, and that knowledge should be constructed systematically and logically, the content structure of the methodology were divided into the following six categories: a) the significance of the methodology of literature search b) the college library and the activities of literature search c) types and characteristics of materials d) literature search by catalog e) explanation of basic bibliography f) research and literature search

고려말에서 조선중기까지의 구결자료에 관한 서지학적 연구 (A bibliographical study of the 'kukyeul system' in Korean language from Koryo to Chosun dynasty)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the textual and physical bibliography of these books that were printed from Koryo to Chosun Dynasty and written by the Kukyul system. This study is concerned with the Kukyul written in the transformed Chinese characters which representing their sino-Korean sound values only. The Kukyul is the Korean function word inserted to a written Chinese sentence for an easier understanding of the meaning by the Koreans. Until the present, most of these studies on the Kukyul are mainly concerned with the Korean linguistic characters. But this mentions to present the basic bibliographical information in order to presume the written period of the Kukyul system. 2The analysis of each book is made in the respect of: 1) historical aspect of the book 2) physical form and publishing date 3) transcription period of the Kukyul 4) the category of presenting Kukyul 5) historical change of transcribing Kukyul system The results of the study are as follows : First, the Kukyul system was divided into Sokdok and Sundok Kukyul according to the translation and recording format. Second, the Sokdok Kukyul is a kind of writing system for translated Chinese into Korean. Third, the Sundok Kukyul was frequently used Buddhist publications from later Koryo Dynasty to Middle Chosun period. Fourth, through the analysis of physical bibliography for that books, we rearrange the chronological oder of Sokdok Kukyul system as Hwaum-kyung, Hwaum-kyungSo, Kumkwngmyu ngkyung, Kuyeukinwang-kyung, Yukasajiron. Fifth, the characters of Sundok Kukyul systems were gradually decreased from eighty numbers to fifty numbers. This change is caused by the unification trends of sound value in morphological aspect.

참고문헌의 서지기술 표준에 관한 연구 (The Study of the National Standard for Reference Bibliographic Description)

  • 본 연구에서는 국가차원의 인용색인데이터베이스 구축에 필요한 참고문헌 서지기술 표준을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 주요 서지기술 규정과 문헌정보학 분야 학술지의 규정을 분석하였다. 분석의 결과, 참고문헌에 포함될 서지요소는 크게 저자사항과 서명사항, 발행사항 등 3개의 하부요소였다. 이 서지요소에 포함될 개별요소는 모든 서지기술 규정이 모두 동일하였다. 본 표준의 기본 형태는 저자-연도 타입이었으며, Bibliography 형식도 제안하였다. 특히 전자자료의 경우, 웹상에서만 발표된 자료는 반드시 최종접근일자를 URL과 함께 수록하도록 하였다.

조선전기(朝鮮前期) 『향약집성방(鄕藥集成方)』의 간행과 서지학적 특징 (The Publication and Bibliographical Characteristics of Hyangyak Jipseongbang During Early Joseon Period)

  • This study examined the bibliographical characteristics of Hyangyak Jipseongbang that was compiled in the $15^{th}$ century (1433) and continued to publish throughout the early period of Joseon Dynasty. Various existing records and the early Joseon printed edition of Hyangyak Jipseongbang stored in a domestic Sancheong Korean Medicine Museum were reviewed from 3 perspectives as follows. First, it is the bibliographical system approach to Hyangyak Jipseongbang for some circumstances related to its compilation and publication. Second, it is the significance in terms of printing history through the analysis of bibliographical characteristics and the status of the remaining Hyangyak Jipseongbang. Particularly, the period of publication is an important factor to determine the value of a book. In this respect, most of the extant early-Joseon editions of Hyangyak Jipseongbang seem to have been published during the ruling years of King Sung Jong. Those editions are expected to have distinctive meaning from other copied editions of the $17^{th}$ century. Last, it is bibliographical orignal analysis of Hyangyak Jipseongbang. This study reviewed the contents and composition of Vol. 49 through 51 of Hyangyak Jipseongbang stored in Sancheong Korean Medicine Museum in an attempt to help understand the textual bibliography and composition system of exhibiting editions.

인용문헌 표제를 이용한 문헌 클러스터링에 관한 연구 (Document Clustering Using Reference Titles)

  • 본 연구에서는 원문헌의 표제가 문헌클러스터링에서 문헌의 주제를 나타내는데 효과적인 자질로 인식되고 있지만 동의어나 유사어를 포함하여 문헌의 주제를 대표하는데 한계가 있음을 인지하고 인용문헌의 표제로 클러스터링 자질을 확대하는 방안을 제시하였다. 문헌 클러스터링의 자질로 원 문헌의 표제 용어와 인용문헌의 표제 용어, 두 종류의 표제 용어를 혼합하여 적용하여 인용문헌의 표제가 클러스터링 성능을 향상시키는 정도를 측정하였다. 각 자질별로 계층적 클러스터링 기법 3개, within group average linkage, complete linkage, Ward 기법을 결합하여 클러스터를 생성하는 성능을 비교, 분석하였는데 원문헌과 인용문헌 표제어를 혼합하여 within group average linkage 기법으로 클러스터링 한 경우가 가장 좋은 결과를 나타내었다.

Data Mining with Constructing Database and Researching Trend Investigation Related with the Field of Nonlinear Problem

  • In this paper, we propose an approach which contains with constructing a bibliography information database, extracting the fields of research, and researching trend of them, using data mining. To apply our approach to IEICE Technical Report (nonlinear problem society), the database was constructed based on its report, keywords were analyzed using the frequency analysis and the association analysis, and we discussed about the result. We could extract some field of research from the result.
