미세 팁 기판 위에 전기영동법으로 성장시킨 탄소 나노튜브의 전계방출 특성 (Field emission properties of carbon nanotubes grown on micro-tip substrates using an electrophoretic deposition method)

  • Field-emission characteristics of carbon nanotubes(CNTs), which were grown on conical-type tungsten micro-tips by using an electrophoretic deposition(EPD) method, were examined. The EPD method proved to be convenient to manipulate and arrange CNTs from well dispersed suspensions onto such tip-type substrates. The growth rate of CNTs was proportional to the applied d.c. bias voltage and the process time. It was observed from the Raman study that the EPDproduced CNTs showed better crystal qualities with the Raman intensity ratio( $I_D$/$I_G$) of 0.41-0.42 than the CVD-produced CNTs and their crystal qualities could be further improved by thermal annealing. The electron emitters based on the EPDCNTs showed excellent field emission properties, such as the threshold voltage for electron emission of about 620 V and the maximum emission current of about 345 ${\mu}A$. In addition, the EPD-CNTs exhibited the stable long-term(up to 40 h) emission capability and the emission stability was enhanced by thermal annealing.

약결합 방식의 GPS/INS 통합시스템 설계 (Design of a loosely-coupled GPS/INS integration system)

  • The CPS provides data with long-term stability independent of passed time and the INS provides high-rate data with short-term stability. By integrating these complementary systems, a highly accurate navigation system can be achieved. In this paper, a loosely-coupled GPS/INS integration system is designed. It is a simple structure and is easy to implement and preserves independent navigation capability of GPS and INS. The integration system consists of a NCU, an IMU, a GPS receiver, and a monitoring system. The navigation algorithm in the NCU is designed under the multi-tasking environment based on a real-time kernel system and the monitoring system is designed using the Visual C++. The integrated Kalman filter is designed as a feedback formed 15-state filter, in which the states are position errors, velocity errors, attitude errors and sensor bias errors. The van test result shows that the integrated system provides more accurate navigation solution then the inertial or the GPS-alone navigation system.

ENSO 패턴에 대한 MM5 강수 모의 결과의 유역단위 성능 평가: 플로리다 템파 지역을 중심으로 (Combining Bias-correction on Regional Climate Simulations and ENSO Signal for Water Management: Case Study for Tampa Bay, Florida, U.S.)

  • 수자원의 수요 증가와 ENSO (El Ni$\tilde{n}$o/La Ni$\tilde{n}$a Southern Oscillation) 등의 기후변화 현상으로 인한 수자원 공급의 불안정 요소가 제기됨에 따라, 수자원 관리 계획 수립 시 장/단기강우 모의의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 미국 플로리다 템파 지역의 두 개 유역을 대상으로 1986년부터 2008년까지의 MM5 지역기후모델을 이용한 강우모의 결과를 시험지역의 33개 관측자료와 CDF-mapping 기법을 이용하여 통계적으로 보정하였으며 그 결과를 바탕으로 ENSO 패턴에 따른 모델의 성능을 평가하였다. 보정된 MM5일 강우 모의결과는 대체적으로 각 관측소의 월 평균 강우량 (ME: 1.0mm)을 잘 모의하는 것으로 나타났다. 블락-크리깅 기법을 이용하여 추정된 유역 평균 일/월 강우량 또한 관측치를 잘 재현하였다(일 강우 ME: 0.8mm, 월 강우 ME: 7.1mm). 한편, ONI (Oceanic Ni$\tilde{n}$o index)를 이용하여 구분한 ENSO 패턴에 따른 강우 모의치를 분석한 결과, 월별 엘리뇨/라니냐 해에 대한 유역 단위의 강우량 모의 성능이 상이한 것으로 나타났다. 이 원인으로 한정된 모수화 적용 및 모델 경계자료 오차 등을 제시하고 이에 대한 보정 방법개선 등의 추가 연구의 필요성을 지적하였다. 본 연구는 ENSO 패턴을 고려한 월별 기후모델 결과를 활용함에 있어 유의점을 제시하였기에, 우기와 건기에 대한 수자원 관리를 위한 적용 등에 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Efficacy of ketamine in the treatment of migraines and other unspecified primary headache disorders compared to placebo and other interventions: a systematic review

  • Background: Migraine headaches are the second leading cause of disability worldwide and are responsible for significant morbidity, reduction in the quality of life, and loss of productivity on a global scale. The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the efficacy of ketamine on migraines and other primary headache disorders compared to placebo and other active interventions, such as midazolam, metoclopramide/diphenhydramine, and prochlorperazine/diphenhydramine. Methods: An electronic search of databases published up to February 2021, including Medline via PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library, a hand search of the bibliographies of the included studies, as well as literature and systematic reviews found through the search was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating ketamine in the treatment of migraine/headache disorders compared to the placebo. The authors assessed the risk of bias according to the Cochrane Handbook guidelines. Results: The initial search strategy yielded 398 unduplicated references, which were independently assessed by three review authors. After evaluation, this number was reduced to five RCTs (two unclear risk of bias and three high risk of bias). The total number of patients in all the studies was 193. Due to the high risk of bias, small sample size, heterogeneity of the outcomes reported, and heterogeneity of the comparison groups, the quality of the evidence was very low. One RCT reported that intranasal ketamine was superior to intranasal midazolam in improving the aura attack severity, but not duration, while another reported that intranasal ketamine was not superior to metoclopramide and diphenhydramine in reducing the headache severity. In one trial, subcutaneous ketamine was superior to saline in migraine severity reduction; however, intravenous (I.V.) ketamine was inferior to I.V. prochlorperazine and diphenhydramine in another study. Conclusion: Further double-blind controlled studies are needed to assess the efficacy of ketamine in treating acute and chronic refractory migraines and other primary headaches using intranasal and subcutaneous routes. These studies should include a long-term follow-up and different ketamine dosages in diagnosed patients following international standards for diagnosing headache/migraine.

척추 압박 골절 환자의 회복에 대한 침 치료의 유효성 및 안전성 평가: 체계적 문헌 고찰과 메타분석 (The Effectiveness and Safety of Acupuncture for Recovery of Patients with Vertebral Compression Fractures: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture treatment for recovery of patients with vertebral compression fracture(VCF). Methods : We searched ten English and Chinese and seven Korean database up to April 2018. Randomised controlled trials(RCTs), quasi-RCTs, non-radomised Controlled Trials(CCTs) were eligible. Quasi-RCTs and CCTs were assessed only for safety assessment. Pain and adverse events were primary outcome of this review. Quality of life, dysfunction, patient satisfaction, incidence of new vertebral compression fracture were regarded as secondary outcomes. The risk of bias was assessed by two independent authors using the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Level of evidence was tabulated using the GRADE methods. Results : Of 1656 screened, 15 RCTs, 1 quasi-RCT and 3 CCTs were included. Number of participants per study ranged from 45 to 135. Most of the studies had unclear or high risk of bias and considerable heterogeneity in terms of type of intervention, comparison and time-points for outcome measurement. Compared to usual care alone, acupuncture combined with usual care showed short-term favorable results for pain relief in patients with VCF(5 studies, n=252, MD -1.05 point on a 0 to 10 point scale, 95% CI -1.45 to -0.65, $I^2=74%$). Four studies reported mild and temporary adverse events, and no serious adverse events were reported. One study descriptively reported that acupuncture was effective for improving quality of life without providing numerical outcomes. There were no reports of patient satisfaction and incidence of new VCF. Conclusions : Level of evidence is very low for the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for pain, harms and other clinical outcomes in patients with VCF. Included studies suffered from incomplete reporting, high or unclear risk of bias and substantial heterogeneity between studies. Future high-quality RCTs are needed to assess whether acupuncture is beneficial for recovery of patients with VCF.

형산강 수계 최적 유사량 공식 선정을 위한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Sediment Discharge Formula for Hyeongsan River)

  • 본 연구에서는 실측 유량-유사량, 하상재료, 하천측량자료들을 바탕으로 HEC-6모형을 이용한 형산강의 장기하상변동 모의결과들의 비교를 통하여 형산강유역에 적합한 최적유사량공식을 선정하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 다양한 통계적 특성치들을 기준으로 Ackers와 White (1973), Duboys (1879), Laursen (1958), Laursen (modified by Madden, 1993), Laursen (modified by Copeland, 1989), 그리고 Yang (1973) 공식과 같은 유사량공식들을 비교 검토하였다. 각 유사량공식을 이용한 장기하상변동 모의결과의 실측치에 대한 상대오차, 평균제곱오차, 상대제곱근오차, 불일치율, 그리고 S/N비를 비교한 결과, Laursen 공식(modified by Copeland)이 대상유역에 가장 적합한 것으로 분석되었다.

조건부가치측정법을 이용한 노인장기요양보험에 대한 지불의사금액 추정 (Estimation of Willingness to Pay for Long-Term Care Insurance Using the Contingent Valuation Method)

  • According to rapid increase of the population of senior citizens, there has been growing concern of Long-Tenn Care(LTC) services recently. Long-Tenn Care services, however, haven't been established systematically in Korea and the supply of LTC services is not sufficient despite the increase in the current social demand. This study aims to estimate the 'Willingness to Pay(WTP)' for LTC insurance which the government plans to introduce by means of social insurance, using Contingent Valuation Method(CYM). In addition, this study analyzes the factors affecting WTP for LTC insurance. An interview survey was carried out to derive WTP for LTC from 450 people who lived in Seoul aged 20 and above during the period from 16th to 21st of June 2003. Double-Bounded Dichotomous Choice Method was applied among several CVMs available to estimate both use value and no-use value of goods. There was pilot survey carried out prior to the main survey. The results show that the average monthly. WTP for LTC provided in home and residential setting is 18,192Won and 19,293Won, respectively. In the case of home care, WTP goes higher depending on reliability of LTC insurance policy and need for LTC insurance, as well as marital status, education and average monthly income. On the contrary, WTP is conversely affected by higher age and higher bids. In the case of institutional care, the factors affecting WTP are similar to those of home care, except age. This study followed NOAA's suggestions generally and the value derived through survey could be reliable. However, there can be the least bias in the process of survey because the CVM should be used under the supposed circumstances. Despite those limitations, it can be concluded that the amount the citizens are willing to pay for LTC is high enough to meet the costs needed to provide LTC.

Effectiveness of worksite-based dietary interventions on employees' obesity: a systematic review and meta-analysis

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This study was designed to provide scientific evidence on the effectiveness of worksite-based dietary intervention to reduce obesity among overweight/obese employees. MATERIALS/METHODS: Electronic search was performed using Ovid Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, and CINAHL databases. The keywords used were "obesity," "nutrition therapy," and "worksite." The internal validity of the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was assessed using the Cochrane's Risk of Bias. Meta-analysis of selected studies was performed using Review Manager 5.3. RESULTS: A total of seven RCTs with 2,854 participants were identified. The effectiveness of dietary interventions was analyzed in terms of changes in weight, body mass index (BMI), total cholesterol, and blood pressure. The results showed that weight decreased with weighted mean difference (WMD) of -4.37 (95% confidence interval (CI): -6.54 to -2.20), but the effectiveness was statistically significant only in short-term programs < 6 months (P = 0.001). BMI also decreased with WMD of -1.26 (95% CI: -1.98 to -0.55), but the effectiveness was statistically significant only in short-term programs < 6 months (P = 0.001). Total cholesterol decreased with WMD of -5.57 (95% CI: -9.07 to -2.07) mg/dL, demonstrating significant effectiveness (P = 0.002). Both systolic (WMD: -4.90 mmHg) and diastolic (WMD: -2.88 mmHg) blood pressure decreased, demonstrating effectiveness, but with no statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS: The worksite-based dietary interventions for overweight/obese employees showed modest short-term effects. These interventions can be considered successful because weight loss was below approximately 5-10 kg of the initial body weight, which is the threshold for the management of obesity recommended by the Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network (SIGN).

GloSea5 장기예측 강수량과 K-DRUM 강우-유출모형을 활용한 물관리 의사결정지원시스템 개발 (Development of decision support system for water resources management using GloSea5 long-term rainfall forecasts and K-DRUM rainfall-runoff model)

  • K-water의 분포형 강우-유출모형인 K-DRUM(K-water hydrologic & hydraulic Distributed RUnoff Model)은 단기예측 강수자료를 통해 댐의 예측 유출량 및 수위를 산출하는 모형으로, 장기적인 수문기상정보를 획득하기 위해서는 장기예측 강수자료를 입력자료로 사용할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 2014년 국내에 도입된 기상청의 계절예측시스템인 GloSea5(Global Seasonal Forecast System version 5) 예측 강수량 앙상블을 K-DRUM의 입력자료로 사용하는 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 이를 통해 산출된 예측 유출량 앙상블 자료를 기반으로 댐 운영자에게 수문기상정보를 제공하는 웹 기반 확률장기예보 활용 물관리 의사결정지원시스템을 함께 구축하였다. GloSea5의 예측 결과를 입력자료로 사용하기 위하여 대상 댐 유역에 대해 전처리 과정을 수행한 후 편의보정기법을 적용하여 예측 강수 앙상블 자료를 산출하였으며, 이를 K-DRUM에 입력하여 수행하여 예측 유출량을 산출하였다. 이 과정에서 편의보정된 강수량과 강우-유출모형에서 산정된 예측 유출량은 그래프와 테이블로 함께 표출할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 시스템의 사용자는 예측 강수량과 유출량을 토대로 댐의 방류량을 조정함으로써 댐 수위 모의 운영을 수행할 수 있게 되어 장기적인 물관리 의사결정에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

노인장기요양보험제도가 대상노인 및 부양가족의 삶의 질과 가족관계 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 성향점수매칭(PSM)과 이중차이(DD) 결합모형을 이용한 분석 - (The Effects of Long-term Care Insurance on the Life Satisfaction and Satisfaction in Family Relationships - The DD Method Combined with Propensity Score Matching -)

  • 이 연구는 우리나라 노인장기요양보험의 제도성과를 평가하는데 그 목적이 있다. 정확한 제도성과를 추정하기 위하여 준실험적 방법인 성향점수매칭과 이중차이 결합모형을 이용해 타당성을 저해할 수 있는 요인들을 제거하였다. 노인장기요양보험제도가 사회적 성과변수인 대상노인과 부양가족의 삶의 질과 가족관계 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 한국복지패널 3-4차 조사자료를 이용하여 성향점수추정을 통해 실험집단과 비교집단을 매칭한 후, 정책시행 이전과 이후 실험집단과 비교집단 간의 성과의 차이를 추정하기 위해 패널고정효과모형을 이용한 이중차이분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 노인장기요양보험제도의 대상노인과 부양가족의 삶의 질은 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았고, 가족관계 만족도는 제도시행 이전에 비해 제도시행 이후 향상된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 노인장기요양보험이 실시되고 제도가 충분히 성숙된 시점에 이루어진 평가가 아니라는 한계점을 가지지만, 노인장기요양보험제도의 최종 목표인 대상노인과 부양가족의 삶의 질 향상이라는 정책의 목표실현과 향후 제도개선에 있어서 중요한 함의를 가진다.
