  • This paper introduces to design analog circuits with Verilog-A. It is a tool for design and simulation of analog ICs in behavioral level. Verilog-A has been already established standard and used to IP development in USA. We have proved the possibility of Verilog-A by comparing with measurement data of a fabricated 235MHz PLL circuit. This paper also describes another advantage of Verilog-A.

  • Media industry is attempting various types of strategic innovation in the content and organization as they enter transition period. However, previous research has casually treated the organizational culture from the management and realized that cognitive/cultural differences between the specific departments yield conflicts. This means the researchers explored less on the decision-making process with the conflict between sub-groups and constituent in the organization. Our study reviewed the most positive method to achieve the innovation outcome through the conflict management within the organization based on the behavioral theory of the firm and applied computer simulation model for analysis to construct the quantitative scenario and infer the result. Conflict always found while media organization experiences innovation within the groups. However, in the long term, securing the independence through the certain state of 'anarchy' which possibly lead consensus implies significance rather to comprise collegiate system for unilateral control. In specific, this study explored the issues in 'conflict management' that has been evaded in media organization research through NK simulation model.

  • Behavioral errors of the seafarers are one of the major causes of collisions and are usually corrected through education and training. To correct this behavioral error, the structure in which the behavioral error occurs needs to be identified and analyzed. For this purpose, behavior observation data were obtained through ship maneuvering simulation for collision encounters. The 9-state behavior classification frame proposed by Reason was used for the behavior observation and 50 university students were involved in the experiment. Behavioral analysis used the behavioral model of collision avoidance success and failure, which was developed from the 9-state Left-to-Right Hidden Markov modeling technique. As a result of the experiment, the difference between behaviors of success and failure of collision avoidance was clearly identified, and the linkage between 9-state behaviors, required to prevent collision, was derived.

  • Agent based simulation is an approach for the analysis of a system's long term behavior where the entities in the system behave independently by their own judgement and memory, but influence each other to cope with given environment. In this paper we developed an agent based simulation model for the analysis of behavioral mechanism of team formation. In the process of team formation members' mutual preference is an important factor although each member can join up with one's own will. Also a team performance can vary by the member's own experience. We implemented the developed model using Netlogo 4.1, and verified the model by simulation. From the simulation results we found that the model successfully performed necessary functions using behavioral rules, judgments, and evolutionary processes by memory. As a further study we will be able to apply the model for analyzing various ecological behavior of team formation.

  • Hardware formal verification involves the use of analytical techniques to prove that the implementation of a system confroms to the specification. The specification could be a set of properties that the system must have or it could be an alternative representation of the system behavior. We can represent our behavioral specification to be written in VHDL coding. In this paper, we proposed a new hardware design verification method. For theis method, we assumed that a verification pattern already exists and try to make an algorithm to find a place where a design error occurred. This method uses an hierarchical approach by making control flow graph(CFG) hierarchically. From the simulation, this method was turned out to be very effective that all the assumed design errors could be detected.

  • The theoretical equations for J-V characteristics in an OLED was derived according to the internal carrier emission equation based on a diffusion model at Schottky barrier contact and the mobility equation based on the Pool-Frenkel model. The J-V characteristics of OLED are presented using a behavioral model for analog systems (Verilog-A language), and the accuracy of this model was verified by comparing with the device simulation results.

  • In this paper, we present a highly efficient simulation package which supports simulation from functional level to gate level. The package consists of a set of front-end tools, a logic simulator, named HSIM(Highly efficient logic SIMulator), and an waveform analyzer. The front-end tools include a netlist compiler, functional primitive compiler and behavioral compiler. Key feature of developed simulator is that the compiled behavioral models written in C language are directly executed in the simulation engine using incremental loader. By doing so, we achieved significant speed up as compared with the interpretive functional simulator. Experimental results show that HSIM runs about 55% faster than traditional unit-delay event-driven interpretive simulator.

  • In this paper, we described the Parwan(PAR-1) CPU that be developed as a reduced processor at Messachusetts Microelectronics Center using a VHDL at the behavioral level and then described by connecting CPU components at the dataflow level. Finally, we used Test-bench method to simulate and verify execution of CPU processor that was designed using a VHDL <중략> Here, Presented method was to enable information exchange of design and representation of operation were very exact and simple. Also, a documentation of design was available and it was easy that verify a operation of designed processor. The behavioral description of VHDL aids designer as we verify our understanding of the designed system, thus the dataflow description can be used to verify the bussing and register structure of the design.

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken to present an effective plan for the development of an educational program and a strategy to promote patient safety management activities for nursing students by identifying factors that affect these activities based on the theory of planned behavior. Methods: A self-report questionnaire was distributed to 300 nursing students who had clinical practice experience at three nursing colleges in Daejeon, Gyeongbuk, and Jeonbuk. The significance of the model fit, and the path effect was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Results: The hypothetical model for patient safety management activities was appropriate. Among the 5 pathways, 4 were significant. It was found that behavioral intention had a direct influence on patient safety management activities, and perceived behavioral control and attitude had an influence on behavioral intention. Conclusion: To strengthen the perceived behavioral control of nursing students' patient safety management activities, it is necessary to analyze and remove obstacles and provide education that reflects the characteristics of the subject's health problems. In addition, through self-directed learning involving simulation practice, nursing students should be exposed to patient safety accidents, so that they can recognize the risks early and solve problems through critical thinking while bringing about the necessary changes in their attitude.
