  • The rice variety, Kwanok, was reared in the water and land beds and transplanted to the reclaimed soil area, having an average salt concentration of 0.39%. Two levels of the moderate and late season cultures with 4 treatments were used. The K and Si contents of the stem part of land bed seedlings were somewhat smaller, but total carbohydrate remarkably larger, the C/N ratio was accordingly greater than water bed seedlings. The rooting ability of land bed seedlings was vigorous markedly in culture solutions, to which added various concentrations of NaCl, The rooting ability of each seedling water not much declined in theculturing solution of up to 9.4mmhos/cm, (0.6%) of salt concentration, but it was drastically declined in the salt concentration over that. It seemed that the critical salt concentration for the rooting rice plant. The land bed seedlings in each salty condition markedly decreased compared with the water bed seeldings in transpiration rate and it showed a stronger drought resistance and contained a large amount of chlorophyll at transplanting stage, and also showed higher stability of chlorophyll at rooting stage in the salt treatment. The number of panicles, panicle weight, number of grains per panicle and ratio of matured grains of the rice plant grown by the land bed seedlings were much greater and 1,000 grain weight was less than from water bed seedlings. The cultural practices with the land bed seedlings increased the rough rice yields by 15% and 11%, respectively, compared with the yields of the moderate and late season cultures by water bed seedlings.

  • 피음처리(被陰處理)된 잣나무 유묘(幼苗)를 이식상(移植床)에 옮겨 광도(光度) 및 식재밀도(植栽密度)의 일부(一部)를 규제(規制)한 조건(條件) 하(下)에서 생육(生育)시킨 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)과 T/R 율등(率等)에 관(關)해 조사(調査) 하였던 바 그 분석(分析) 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)은 광도(光度) 및 식재밀도처리(植栽密度處理) 그리고 시간별(時間別) 생장(生長)의 경우 상대광도(相對光度) 100%구(區)와 식재밀도(植栽密度) $6{\times}6$본(本)(36 본(本)) 구(區)가, 그리고 5월(月) 26일(日)에서 6월(月) 25일간(日間)의 시기(時期)가 가장 높게 나타났다. 2. 이들의 생장양상(生長樣狀)은 광도(光度)가 점차(漸次)로 낮아 지거나 밀도(密度)가 높았을 때, 그리고 생유초기(生有初期)는(5월(月) 26일(日)~6월(月) 25일(日))로부터 점차(漸次) 늦어짐에 따라 묘목(苗木)의 중량생장(重量生長)은 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 3. T/R율(率)에 있어서는 광도(光度)의 경우 상대광도(相對光度) 63%구(區)가, 그리고 식재밀도(植栽密度)는 $12{\times}12$본(本)(224본(本)) 구(區)가 가장 높았고 시기별(時期別)로는 7월(月) 26일(日)에서 8월(月) 25일(日) 사이에 가장 높았다.

마이크로네시아 연방 축 라군의 해초지와 맹그로브 군락 퇴적물에 서식하는 중형저서동물 군집 특성 (Meiobenthic Community Structures on the Sediment of Seagrass Bed and Mangrove Forest in Chunk Lagoon, Micronesia)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the community structure and distributional pattern of meiobenthos on the sediment of the mangrove forest and seagrass bed in the Chuuk lagoon. The samples were collected by an acryl corer at 14 stations. Nematodes were the most abundant meiobenthos, followed by ciliophorans and polychaetes; these taxa comprised more than 70% of the total abundance at all stations. The meiofuuna sampled in seagrass bed were more diverse than those of mangrove substrates. Total densities were higher in mangrove stations than other sites, averaging 1,671 to $2,967inds/10cm^2$. Densities in seagrass area ranged between 605 and $1,053inds/10cm^2$. Biomasses, however, were higher in seagrass bed $(975-2,167{\mu}g\;free\;dry\;weight/10cm^2)$ than in mangrove area $(1,064-1,180{\mu}g\;free\;dry\;weight/10cm^2)$. Ordination chart by MDS of major meiofaunal density in each station showed difference between mangrove area and seagrass area in terms of habitat of meiobenthos.

제철 소결공정의 철광석-코크스 베드에서의 연소와 열전달 해석 (Prediction of Combustion and Heat Transfer in the Sintering Bed of Iron Ore)

  • Sintering bed of iron ore in the steel making process is one of typical applications of solid fuel bed, which has relatively uniform progress of fuel and simple processes of combustion. The sintering bed was modelled as an unsteady one-dimensional progress of fuel layer containing the two phases of solid and gas. Cokes added to the raw mix of which the amount is about 3.5% of the total weight was assumed to form a single particle with other components. In the early predition results presented in this paper, the flame propagation within the bed was not sustained after the top surface of the bed was ignited with hot gas. It suggests that the model should be extended to consider the multiple solid phase, which can treat the ore particles and the coke particles separately.

Fluidized Bed Drying Effect on the Aerogel Powder Synthesis

  • A fluidized bed drying approach was utilized to the synthesis of water glass based silica aerogel powders. The effects of the fluidized bed drying conditions such as the superficial velocity and temperature of hot air and bead size as well as bead/wet-gel ratio, on the physical properties such as tapping density and productivity of the aerogel powders were systematically investigated. The experimental results showed that the amount of beads mixed with wet-gels in the fluidized bed column has the most profound impact on the fluidization efficiency, greatly enhancing the yield of the aerogel powders up to 98% with a proper bead/wet-gel weight ratio as compared to 72% without using beads. No significant change was observed in the tapping density over a wide range of the fluidized drying condition. Consequently the fluidized bed drying approach shows a good promise as an alternative route for the large-scale production of the aerogel powders.

  • Effects of temperature, volatile content, particle diameter and solid input weight were investigated in the batch fluidized bed reactor using OCN703-1100 particle as oxygen carrier and Roto coal and char as fuels. Two solid fuels represented the best reactivity at different temperature, $900^{\circ}C$ for Roto coal and $950^{\circ}C$ for char, respectively. However, we selected $900^{\circ}C$ as the best operating temperature because the improvement of reactivity of char at $950^{\circ}C$ was negligible. Char represented better reactivity than Roto coal because char contains low volatile than Roto coal. For both solid fuels, reactivities were improved with increasing of the particle diameter. These results were explained by solid mixing tests in a transparent fluidized bed using two char particles having different particle size ranges and OCN703-1100 particle. The bigger particle showed better solid mixing with OCN703-1100 particle, and therefore, represented better reactivity. For both solid fuels, reactivities were improved with increasing of the solid input weight within the experimental conditions of this study because the weight of coarse particles increased with the solid input weight increased, and therefore, these coarse particles can mix well with the oxygen carrier.

전투 배낭 프레임 경량화를 위한 섬유강화복합재의 홀가공 조건이 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hole Processing Condition on Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Composites for Lightweight Combat Backpack Frames)

  • As for military backpacks in Korea, utility backpack products equipped with various functions along with comfort and convenience are being developed. As a result, the volume and weight of the backpack increase, and many lightweight studies of the materials forming the backpack are being conducted. This study is a basic study on frame lightweight using fiber-reinforced composites to deal with aluminum, a back frame that maintains the shape of a backpack and provides stability when worn by combatants. As is known, only fiber-reinforced composites have sufficient light weight and mechanical properties, but the mechanical properties were reviewed by drilling holes to maximize the light weight. Tensile strength and flexural strength were measured by drilling 6mm, 12mm, 18mm, and 24mm holes, and the tensile strength and flexural strength were measured when 1, 3, 5, and 7 holes of 12mm were increased. As a result, even when the number of holes was increased, tensile strength did not change significantly, and the flexural strength showed to be higher in the case of 3 holes and 5 holes than in the case of 1 hole.

  • 본 연구는 가정용 침대 위에서 발생한 심정지 환자에게 가슴압박을 수행할 경우 환자의 체중과 구조자의 체중에 따른 가슴압박 정확도의 차이를 확인하고자 하였다. 2023년 01월 07일부터 01월 19일까지 대한심폐소생협회의 KBLS 교육과정을 이수한 N대학교와 S대학교의 응급구조(학)과 학생 36명을 대상으로 대상자의 무릎 위치에서 매트리스가 눌리는 깊이, 마네킹의 무게에 의해 매트리스가 눌리는 깊이를 측정하였고, 2분간 연속된 가슴압박을 수행하는 동안 가슴압박 깊이, 속도, 압박 위치 불량, 가슴압박 깊이 50 mm 미만 횟수, 모든 변수를 고려한 정확도를 측정하였다. 연구결과 가정에서 소아 심정지를 발견한 경우 환자를 바닥으로 이동시켜 가슴압박을 진행하고, 성인 심정지를 발견한 최초목격자는 환자를 무리하게 침대 밑으로 내려 가슴압박을 진행하기보다는 침대 위에서 진행하는 것을 권장한다.

이중 순환식 유동층 연소로내에서 2차 공기 주입에 의한 CO, NOx 저감효과 (Effect of Secondary Air Injection on CO and NOx Emission in an Internally Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustor)

  • Combustion experiments are carried out to obtain the fundamental data for application of a internally circulating fluidized bed combustor to the combustion of paper sludge wastes. Experimental parameters are identified as secondary air ratio, sludge weight and water contents. The secondary air ratio was varied from 0 to 20% and water content was 14%, 25%, 35%, 45%, 62% and sludge weight was 30g, 60g, 90g. As a result, carbon conversion ratio was higher than injection of primary air. Emission of CO and NOx reduced with an increase of secondary air injection.

삼상유동층 생물반응기에서의 연속식 Xanthan 발효 (Continuous Xanthan Fermentations in a Three-Phase Fluidized Bed Bioreactor)

  • 세포의 다당류 xanthan을 생산하기 위하여 호기성 박테리아 X. campestris를 9 L 삼상유동층 생물반응기에서 연속적으로 배양하였다. 고점도 배양액에서 공기 기포를 분쇄하기 위하여 직경 8 mm 유리 유동입자를 사용하였다. 반응기 희석률을 증가시킴에 따라 세포 단위질량 당 xanthan 생성속도 및 생성된 xanthan의 분자량은 증가하였다. 산소공급제한이 발생하지 않을 경우 연속발효에서의 xanthan 비생성속도는 회분식 발효에서 제안된 상관식의 예측결과 보다 상당히 높은 값을 보였다.
