Intelligent control system design of track vehicle based-on fuzzy logic (퍼지 로직에 의한 궤도차량의 지능제어시스템 설계)

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of intelligent control system for track vehicle system using fuzzy logic based on neural network. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the neural network-fuzzy, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is illustrated by simulation for trajectory tracking of track vehicle speed.

  • This paper is proposed a hybrid intelligent controller based on the vector controlled surface permanent magnet synchronous motor(SPMSM) drive system. The hybrid combination of neural network and fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of SPMSM using neural network-fuzzy(NNF) control and speed estimation using artificial neural network(ANN) Controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The back propagation mechanism is easy to derive and the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • In this paper, we propose a new fuzzy-neural network control scheme for the speed and azimuth control of a mobile robot. The proposed control scheme uses a gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy-neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the frame-work of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two fuzzy-neural networks based on independent reasoning and a connection net woth fixed weights to simply the fuzzy-neural network. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is illustrated by performing the computer simulation for a circular trajectory tracking of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

  • A neural network with one or more layers of hidden units can be trained using the well-known error back propagation algorithm. According to this algorithm, the synaptic weights of the network are updated during the training by propagating back the error between the expected output and the output provided by the network. However, the error back propagation algorithm is characterized by slow convergence and the time required for training and, in some situation, can be trapped in local minima. A theoretical formulation of a new fast learning method based on tabu search method is presented in this paper. In contrast to the conventional back propagation algorithm which is based solely on the modification of connecting weights of the network by trial and error, the present method involves the calculation of the optimum weights of neural network. The effectiveness and versatility of the present method are verified by the XOR problem. The present method excels in accuracy compared to that of the conventional method of fixed values.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest and verify high-strength concrete mix design model applying neural network theory, in order to minimize effort and time wasted by using trial and error method utill now. There are 7 input and 2 output to predict mix design. 40 data of mix design were learned with back-propagation algorithm. Then they are repeatedly learned back-propagation in neural network theory. Also, to verify predicted model, we analyzed and compared value predicted from 60MPa mix design with value measured by actual compressive strength test.

  • This paper suggests the scheme to simultaneously accomplish prediction of fracture initiation and geomeytical configuration of deformation in metal forming processes using the artificial neural network. A three-layer neural network is used and a back propagation algorithm is adapted to train the network. The Cookcroft-Lathjam criterion is used to estimate whether fracture occurs during the deformation process. The geometrical configuration and the value of ductile fracture are measured by finite element method. The predictions of neural network and numerical results of simple upsetting are compared. The proposed scheme has successfully predicted the geometrical configuration and fracture initiation.

  • In the paper, we have proposed a new technique to determine the initial billet for the forged products using a function approximation in neural network. A three-layer neural network is used and a back propagation algorithm is employed to train the network. An optimal billet which satisfied the forming limitation, minimum of incomplete filling in the die cavity, load and energy as well as more uniform distribution of effective strain, is determined by applying the ability of function approximation of the neural network. The amount of incomplete filling in the die, load and forming energy as well as effective strain are measured by the rigid-plastic finite element method. This new technique is applied to find the optimal billet size for the axisymmetric rib-web product in hot forging. This would reduce the number of finite element simulation for determining the optimal billet of forging products, further it is usefully adopted to physical modeling for the forging design

  • The well-known back-propagation algorithm for multi-layered neural network has successfully been applied to pattern c1assification problems with remarkable flexibility. Recently. the multi-layered neural network is used as a powerful data mining tool. Nevertheless, in many cases with complex boundary of classification, the successful learning is not guaranteed and the problems of long learning time and local minimum attraction restrict the field application. In this paper, an Improved learning procedure of multi-layered neural network is proposed. The procedure is based on the generalized delta rule but it is particular in the point that the architecture of network is not fixed but enlarged during learning. That is, the number of hidden nodes or hidden layers are increased to help finding the classification boundary and such procedure is controlled by entropy evaluation. The learning speed and the pattern classification performance are analyzed and compared with the back-propagation algorithm.

  • As the model of most practical system cannot be obtained, the practice of typical control method is limited. Accordingly, numerous artificial intelligence control methods have been used widely. Fuzzy control and neural network control have been an important point in the developing process of the field. This paper is proposed adaptive fuzzy-neural network based on the vector controlled interior permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system. The fuzzy-neural network is first utilized for the speed control. A model reference adaptive scheme is then proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed using fuzzy-neural network. Also, this paper is proposed estimation of speed of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor using artificial neural network controller. The back-propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed.
