  • The goal of this paper is accuracy improvement of appearance inspection by using image separation average value matching method. The appearance inspection of various electronic products and parts has been executed by the eyesight of human. But inspection by eyesight can't bring about uniform inspection result. Because the appearance inspection result by eyesight of human is changed by condition of physical and spirit of the checker. So machine vision inspection system is currently used to many appearance inspection fields instead of the checker. However the inspection result of machine vision is changed by the illumination of workplace. Therefore we have used a average value matching in this paper for improvement of vision inspection accuracy and could increase inspection accuracy of vision system. In other words, we made an effort for elevation of vision inspection accuracy by making the identical image separation average value of reference image and input image. Also this system has been developed only using PC, CCD Camera and Visual C++ for universal workplace.

An Introduction to Energy-Based Blind Separating Algorithm for Speech Signals

  • We introduce the Energy-Based Blind Separating (EBS) algorithm for extremely fast separation of mixed speech signals without loss of quality, which is performed in two stages: iterative-form separation and closed-form separation. This algorithm significantly improves the separation speed simply due to incorporating only some specific frequency bins into computations. Simulation results show that, on average, the proposed algorithm is 43 times faster than the independent component analysis (ICA) for speech signals, while preserving the separation quality. Also, it outperforms the fast independent component analysis (FastICA), the joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (JADE), and the second-order blind identification (SOBI) algorithm in terms of separation quality.

Audio Source Separation Based on Residual Reprojection

  • This paper describes an audio source separation that is based on nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) and expectation maximization (EM). For stable and highperformance separation, an effective auxiliary source separation that extracts source residuals and reprojects them onto proper sources is proposed by taking into account an ambiguous region among sources and a source's refinement. Specifically, an additional NMF (model) is designed for the ambiguous region - whose elements are not easily represented by any existing or predefined NMFs of the sources. The residual signal can be extracted by inserting the aforementioned model into the NMF-EM-based audio separation. Then, it is refined by the weighted parameters of the separation and reprojected onto the separated sources. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme (outlined above) is more stable and outperforms existing algorithms by, on average, 4.4 dB in terms of the source distortion ratio.

Size-sorting of Micron-sized Particles using Two Gravitational SPLITT Fractionation (GSF) Connected in a Series (Tandem GSF)

  • SPLITT Fractionation (SF) provides separation of sample into two subpopulations. Separation into more than two subpopulations requires repeated SF operations. In this study, two Gravitation SF (GSF) channels were connected in a series (Tandem GSF) to obtain a separation into three subpopulations and to improve the fractionation efficiency (FE) of the fraction-b in the full-feed depletion (FFD) mode. In a single channel FFD-GSF operation, the fraction-a contained mostly the beads smaller than the cutoff diameter ($d_c$), while the fraction-b contained beads smaller than $d_c$ as well as those larger than dc, as expected. The measured FE's of the fraction-b are much lower than those of the fraction-a in all cases. The FE's of the fraction-a are higher than 84% with the average of about 91%, while those of the fraction-b are lower than 60% with the average of about 43%. No particular trends were found between FE and $d_c$, indicating the performance of FFD-GSF does not change with $d_c$ in the range where tested. Also no clear trends were observed between the FE and the sample-feeding flow rate, indicating higher sample-feeding rate can be used to increase the sample throughput without losing resolution. When two GSF channels were connected so that the flow stream emerging from the outlet-b of the channel-1 is fed directly into the channel-2, all three FE's measured for the fraction-1a were high with the average value of 99%, indicating it contains almost purely the beads smaller than $d_c$. The FE's measured for the fraction-2a are still good with the average value of 92%. The FE's measured for the fraction-2b are 64% in average, which is about 20% improvement from those obtained in a single channel FFD-GSF at the same conditions.

Multiple Mixed Modes: Single-Channel Blind Image Separation

  • As one of the pivotal techniques of image restoration, single-channel blind source separation (SCBSS) is capable of converting a visual-only image into multi-source images. However, image degradation often results from multiple mixing methods. Therefore, this paper introduces an innovative SCBSS algorithm to effectively separate source images from a composite image in various mixed modes. The cornerstone of this approach is a novel triple generative adversarial network (TriGAN), designed based on dual learning principles. The TriGAN redefines the discriminator's function to optimize the separation process. Extensive experiments have demonstrated the algorithm's capability to distinctly separate source images from a composite image in diverse mixed modes and to facilitate effective image restoration. The effectiveness of the proposed method is quantitatively supported by achieving an average peak signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 30 dB, and the average structural similarity index surpassing 0.95 across multiple datasets.

  • PTMSP/PDMS-PEI 복합막을 제조하고, 막의 특성을 FT-IR, $^1$H-NMR, DSC, TGA, GPC, SEM을 사용하여 조사하였다. 제조된 PTMSP/PDMS copolymer의 수평균분자량((equation omitted))은 501,516이었고, 중량평균분자량((equation omitted))은 675,560이었다. 제조된 고분자 복합막에 의한 $H_2$/$N_2$ 혼합기체분리는 $25^{\circ}C$에서 압력의 변화에 따라 조사하였다. PTMSP/PDMS-PEI 복합막들의 수소에 대한 분리인자($\alpha$, $\beta$, (equation omitted)) 값은 투과셀의 압력이 증가하면 증가하였다. PTMSP/PDMS-PEI 복합막의 수소에 대한 $\alpha$, $\beta$, (equation omitted) 값은 $\Delta$P 345.55 kPa와 $25^{\circ}C$에서 각각 21.50, 49.14, 1.84이었다.

  • PTMSP-PEI와 PDMS-PEI 복합막을 제조하고, 막의 특성을 FT-IR, $^1H-NMR,$ DSC, TGA, GPC, SEM을 사용하여 조사하였다. 제조된 PTMSP의 수평균분자량 (equation omitted)은 477,920 이었고, 중량평균분자량 (equation omitted)은 673,329이었고, 유리전이온도 ($T_g$)는 $224^{\circ}C$이었다. 제조된 고분자 복합막들에 의한 $H_2/N_2$ 혼합기체분리는 $25^{\circ}C$에서 압력의 변화에 따라 조사되었다. PTMSP-PEI와 PDMS-PEI 복합막들의 수소에 대한 분리인자 (${\alpha}, {\beta},$ equation omitted)값은 투과셀의 압력이 증가하면 증가하였다. PTMSP-PEI 복합막의 수소에 대한 (${\alpha}, {\beta},$ equation omitted 값은 ${\Delta}P$ 30psi 와 $25^{\circ}C$에서 2.28, 1.17, 1.96이었고, PDMS-PEI 복합막의 (${\alpha}, {\beta}$ equation omitted 값은 3.70, 1.53, 2.42 이었다.

소유역의 강수에 의한 지하수 함양량 산정 (Estimation of Groundwater Recharge from Precipitation in a Small Basin)

  • 어떤 특정 지역의 지하수 개발량을 적적히 파악하기 위해서는 지하수함양량의 산정이 필요하다. 경상북도에 위치한 위천 유역내의 소유역에 대하여 지하수 함양량을 산정하였다. 기저유출분리법과 SCS-CN방법을 이용하여 갈수년과 풍수년이 존재하는 1992년∼1997년간의 년 평균 지하수 함양량을 추정하였다. 기저유출분리법을 이용하여 추정한 결과, 연평균 지하수 함양률이 11.9%∼18.7%로 변화하였으며 계산기간 중의 년 평균 강수에 의한 지하수 함양량은 141.6mm로 지하수함양률은 14.5%이었다. SCS-CN방법을 이용하여 추정한 결과, 연평균 지하수 함양균이 7.9%∼20.9%로 변화하였으며 계산기간 중의 년 평균 강수에 의한 피하수 함양량은 147.4mm 로 지하수 함양률은 15.1%이었다. 두 방법으로 산정한 갈수년과 풍수년이 존재하는 장기간 동안의 년 평균 강수에 의한 지하수 함양량은 지하수 개발에 유용하게 사용할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

의약분업이 의원 및 약국의 영업이익에 미친 영향 (Impact of Korea's reform for separation between prescribing and dispensing of drugs on profits of doctor's clinics and pharmacies)

  • As of 1 July 2000 a big reform was introduced into the Korean health care system: the separation between prescribing and dispensing of drugs (SPD reform). There was, however, a big financial stake associated with pharmaceuticals, particularly before the reform, because physicians as well as pharmacists were allowed to purchase drugs at much lower costs than the insurance reimbursement. In this respect, this study focuses on the change in income and profit of both doctor's clinics and pharmacies after the reform. Data from National Health and Nutritional Survey by the ministry of health and welfare were used to estimate the income or expenditure that are financed by out-of-pocket payment of the patients, while national health insurance data etc. were used for the estimation of the income or expenditure that is financed by insurers. Average annual income per doctor's clinic increased from 299 million won to 338 million won for the three years between 1998 and 2001, whereas average annual income per pharmacy increased enormously from 60 million won to 305 million won for the same period. Average annual 'profit' increase per each doctor's clinic caused by the reform itself was estimated to range from 50 to 83 million won, while that per each pharmacy, from 23 to 87 million won. In sum, while both doctor's clinics and pharmacies are beneficiaries of the SPD reform, its positive impact is particularly prominent on the latter.

치과기공사의 이직에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Turnover of Dental Technicians)

  • Having taken as cause of dental technicians separation from their service a variety of individual idiosyncrasies, function-related factors, external environment factors, functional satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intention to remain, the present study conducted a mail questionnaire poll and interviews on those dental technicians who are mow in the service with private dental technical workshops and dental technical workshops in general hospitals and private dental clinics. The resultant findings from analysis of the repondent's general characteristics of cause of separation form service were revealed, as follows : 1) It was shown that the higher the academic career, the considerably higher cause of position commitment among causes of individual idio-syncrasies, reflecting a statistically significant result(P<0.05) 2) The less the number of working hours as viewed from the average number of working hours per day, the higher the positive emotion, reflecting a significant relation(P<0.01) 3) Causes from performing duties among function-related causes diclosed a statistically significant relation among marital status, career, monthly income, and positions(P<0.01) 4) Causes from wages showed a statistically significant relation in the average number of working hours per day(P<0.01), monthly income(P,0.05), and positions(P<0.05) 5) Causes from supervision exposed a significant relation in workplaces(P<0.01) 6) Causes from promotion represented a significant relation in positions(P<0.001) 7) Causes from opportunnities for taking a job as seen from external environment causes also disclosed a statistically significant relation in workplaces(P<0.05) 8) Reponsibility for family sustenace reflected a statistically significant relation in sex, age, marital status, career, monthly income, work fields, term of employment, positions, and experience of separation(P<0.001) 9) Functional satisfaction showed a statistically significant relation in marital status, career, monthly income, and the average number of hours a day(P<0.05) 10) Oraganizational commitment disclosed a statistically significant relation in work experience, monthly income, term of employment, positions(P<0.05) and the average number of working hours a day(P<0.001) 11) The intention to remain indicated a statistically significant relation in age, marital status, work experience, monthly income, positions(P<0.001) and term of employment. the average number of working hours a day(P<0.01), and in the performing work field(P<0.05)
