  • The error diffusion method is good for reproducing continuous image to binary image. However the reproduction of edge characteristic is weak in power spectrum analysis of display error. In this paper. we present an edge-enhanced error-diffusion method which include pre-processing algorithm for edge characteristic enhancement. Pre-processing algorithm consists of the difference value between current pixel and local average of original image and weighting function of pre-filter. First. it is obtained the difference value between current pixel and the local average of peripheral pixels(5x5) in original image. Second, weighting function of pre-filter is composed by function including absolute value and sign of difference value. The improved Error diffusion algorithm using pre-processing algorithm, present a good result visually which edge characteristic is enhanced. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with that of the conventional edge-enhanced error diffusion by measuring the RAPSD of display error, the egde correlation and the local average accordance.

  • In this paper, through a direct computation with subintervals partitioning [0, 1], we compute better a posteriori bounds for the average case error of the difference between the true value of $I(f)=\int_{0}^{1}f(x)dx$ with $f{\in}C^r$[0, 1] minus the composite trapezoidal rule and the composite trapezoidal rule minus the basic trapezoidal rule for $r{\geq}3$ by using zero mean-Gaussian.

  • We show that if ${\gamma}$ $\leq$ 2, the average error of the composite Trapezoidal rule on two consecutive intervals is proportional to h$\^$2h+3/ where h is the length of each subinterval of the interval [0, 1]. As a result, we show that the Trapezoidal rule with equally spaced points is optimal in the average case setting when ${\gamma}$ $\leq$ 2.

  • Recently many efforts on the development of automatic processing system for delivery sequence sorting have been performed in ETRI, which requires the use of postal 4 state bar code system to encode delivery points. This paper addresses the issue on the reduction of reading error in postal 4 state raster beam based bar code reader by adjusting measured values of bar code width to its average value over each interval. The test results show that the above method reduces the average reading error rate approximately by 90-100%.

  • With the rapid growth of internet traffic, accurate and reliable prediction of internet traffic has been a key issue in network management and planning. This paper proposes an autoregressive-generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (AR-GARCH) error model for forecasting internet traffic and evaluates its performance by comparing it with seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models in terms of root mean square error (RMSE) criterion. The results indicated that the seasonal AR-GARCH models outperformed the seasonal ARIMA models in terms of forecasting accuracy with respect to the RMSE criterion.

  • We show that if r $\leq$ 2, the average error of the Trapezoidal rule is proportional to $n^{-min{r+l, 3}}$ where n is the number of mesh points on the interval [D, 1]. As a result, we show that the Trapezoidal rule with equally spaced points is optimal in the average case setting when r $\leq$ 2.

  • The purpose of this study to evaluate and compare the proprioception of the dominant knee joint at different conditions in normal 20 years of age. The pripriocption was measured at sitting, supine, prone position with the eyes opened and the eyes closed. All were assessed with and without a knee brace around the knee by reproduction the position to which a joint has previously been placed. In this study, 24 rehabilitation therapy major students were assessed at Hansoe University. In this study applied the paired t-test and 1-way ANOVA to determine the statistical significance of results at 0.05 level of significance. The error average of proprioception was $4.65{\pm}2.95^{\circ}$ with the eyes closed and $4.08{\pm}1.14^{\circ}$ with the eyes opened in sitting position, $5.56{\pm}3.18^{\circ}$ with the eyes closed and $4.98{\pm}2.99^{\circ}$ with the eyes opened in supine position and $5.60{\pm}1.64^{\circ}$ with the eyes closed and $4.87{\pm}2.16^{\circ}$ with the eyes opened in prone position. There was no significantly difference the error average between the eyes opened group and the eyes closed group. There was no significantly difference the error average among the three positions. The error average decreased significantly in knee brace group at all conditions.

  • In this paper, we propose a new construction algorithm for the reversible variable-length code (RVLC) using a simplified average length function of the optimal Huffman code. RVLC is introduced as one of the error resilience tools in H.263+ and MPEG-4 owing to its error-correcting capability. The proposed algorithm demonstrates an improved performance in terms of the average codeword length over the existing HVLC algorithms.

  • In the conventional multi-user superposition transmission, the power allocation coefficients of data symbols and the received signal processing of users are determined by the condition of instantaneous channel powers. However, the use of instantaneous channel powers can increase the system complexity. Hence, we consider fixed multi-user superposition transmission using average channel powers. The fixed multi-user superposition transmission can reduce the system complexity because it uses the condition of average channel powers that slowly change over time in order to decide the power allocation coefficients and the received signal processing. In this paper, we analyze the average symbol error rate for the fixed multi-user superposition transmission. In particular, an expression for the average symbol error rate of M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation is derived assuming Rayleigh fading channels. In addition, through the numerical results, we show that the conventional and fixed multi-user superposition transmissions achieve the similar average symbol error rate performances at the user in the severe channel condition.

  • 1. Objectives The Face is an important standard for the classification of Sasang Constitution. We are developing 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) to analyse the facial characteristics. This apparatus show us 3D image and data of man's face and measure facial figure data. So we should examine the figure restoration error of 3D Automatic Fare Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) in hardware Error Analysis. 2. Methods We scanned Face status by using 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA). And also we scanned Face status by using laser scanner(vivid 9i). We compared facial shape data be restored by 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) with facial shape data that be restorated by 3D laser scanner. And we analysed the average error and the maximum error of two data. 3. Results and Conclusions In frontal face, the average error was 0.48mm. and the maximum error was 4.60mm. In whole face, the average error of was 0.99mm. And the maximum error was 6.64mm. In conclusion, We assessed that accuracy of 3D Automatic Face Recognition Apparatus(3D-AFRA) is considerably good.
