The purpose of this study is to construct a digital archive system by analyzing the collections of the Korean Christian Museum at S University, which has a large number of materials related to Korean Christianity published in the modern period from the time of Korea's enlightenment until liberation. In order to construct a digital archive system, indexes and metadata for the collection are complied according to the pre-defined format. After digitizing the selected collection, a database is built using metadata information, and the actual system is divided into a web standard-based management system and a user service system. Also a content-based search system is constructed, which provides the matching value of retrieval results in units of one character and an automatic search term completion function to enhance user convenience. Therefore, collections in the museum, which are difficult to access the original text, are digitized and provided so that they can be easily used, laying the foundation for the long-term development of humanities contents for improving the accessibility and availability of collections for both researchers and the public.
This study provides a systematic review of smart trade contracts, examining the research trends and theoretical background of utilizing smart contracts and blockchain technology for the digitalization and automation of trade contracts. Smart trade contracts are a concept that applies the automated contract system based on blockchain to trade-related transactions. The study analyzes the technical and legal challenges and proposes solutions. The technical aspect covers the development of smart contract platforms, scalability and performance improvements of blockchain networks, and security and privacy concerns. The legal aspect addresses the legal enforceability of smart contracts, automatic execution of contract conditions, and the responsibilities and obligations of contract parties. Smart trade contracts have been found to have applications in various industries such as international trade, supply chain management, finance, insurance, and energy, contributing to the ease of trade finance, efficiency of supply chains, and business model innovation. However, challenges remain in terms of legal regulations, interaction with existing legal frameworks, and technological aspects. Further research is needed, including empirical studies, business model innovation, resolution of legal issues, security and privacy considerations, standardization and collaboration, and user experience studies to address these challenges and explore additional aspects of smart trade contracts.
As technology advances swiftly and the lifespan of products becomes increasingly short, there is a demand to fasten the pace of research outcomes, product development, and market introduction. As a result, the researchers and developers need a computational experiment environment that enables rapid verification of the experiment and application of research findings. Such an environment must efficiently harness all available computational resources, manage simulations across diverse test scenarios, and support the experimental data collection. This research introduces the design and implementation of an experimental frame based on a microservice architecture. The experimental frame leverages scripts to utilize computing resources optimally, making it more straightforward for users to conduct simulations. It features an experimental frame capable of automatically deploying scenarios to the computing components. This setup allows for the automatic configuration of both the computing environment and experiments based on user-provided scenarios and experimental software, facilitating effortless execution of simulations.
Unlike the previous works focusing on the state-of-the-art methodologies to improve the performance of machine learning models, this study improves the 'quality' of training data used in machine learning. We propose a method to enhance the quality of training data through the processing of 'local grammar,' frequently used in corpus analysis. We collected a vast amount of unstructured corporate review text data posted by employees working in the top 100 companies in Korea. After improving the data quality using the local grammar process, we confirmed that the classification model with local grammar outperformed the model without it in terms of classification performance. We defined five factors of work engagement as classification categories, and analyzed how the pattern of reviews changed before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Through this study, we provide evidence that shows the value of the local grammar-based automatic identification and classification of employee experiences, and offer some clues for significant organizational cultural phenomena.

Even in Korea the number of steel structure buildings that allow internal space and easy change of their layouts in accordance with the purpose of buildings and box-type steel bridges constructed with thick plates with thickness in a rage just from a few $\beta$AE to \$100\beta$AE is increasing these days and therefore, domestic fabrication and processing technology of members for steel structures is being improved at a pace faster than in the past to meet the growing requirements of consumers for high reliability on quality control on the related steel structures. However, most domestic fabricators os steel structures who are turning out their steel products in accordance with the designs prepared by engineering companies in their respective works for the sake of cost cut more than anything else, hesitating to introduce any advanced new technology into themselves. In the case of the steel structure design application for small and mid-size buildings in particular, it is quite meaningful not only for those who are involved in steel structure business, but also for the people working at construction work fields to review the result of the study on the connections of steel structure members deigned to obtain superb quality of steel structures within short period for steel fabrication and erection at fields in economical ways, as there is a glowing tendency seeking standardization of connection of steel structure members as well as whole structure together with the development on design of construction system of buildings including their exterior and interior decoration materials, manufacture of the related members and fabrication technique structure. This paper has been prepared with the aim to review the peculiar characteristics of buildings constructed with the main frames of steel structures and actual cases of the change made ing the connections between steel structure columns and between columns and girder members in order to reduce the work period necessary for fabrication and erection of steel structures at the maximum as well as the some examples of steel structures fabricated through automatic welding by robots for box-type columns in addition to the description of the problems found in the course of fabricating those steel structures, suggesting possible counter-measures to solve them.
A knowledge map describes the network of related knowledge into the form of a diagram, and therefore underpins the structure of knowledge categorizing and archiving by defining the relationship of the referential navigation between knowledge. The referential navigation between knowledge means the relationship of cross-referencing exhibited when a piece of knowledge is utilized by a user. To understand the contents of the knowledge, a user usually requires additionally information or knowledge related with each other in the relation of cause and effect. This relation can be expanded as the effective connection between knowledge increases, and finally forms the network of knowledge. A network display of knowledge using nodes and links to arrange and to represent the relationship between concepts can provide a more complex knowledge structure than a hierarchical display. Moreover, it can facilitate a user to infer through the links shown on the network. For this reason, building a knowledge map based on the ontology technology has been emphasized to formally as well as objectively describe the knowledge and its relationships. As the necessity to build a knowledge map based on the structure of the ontology has been emphasized, not a few researches have been proposed to fulfill the needs. However, most of those researches to apply the ontology to build the knowledge map just focused on formally expressing knowledge and its relationships with other knowledge to promote the possibility of knowledge reuse. Although many types of knowledge maps based on the structure of the ontology were proposed, no researches have tried to design and implement the referential navigation-enabled knowledge map. This paper addresses a methodology to build the ontology-based knowledge map enabling the referential navigation between knowledge. The ontology-based knowledge map resulted from the proposed methodology can not only express the referential navigation between knowledge but also infer additional relationships among knowledge based on the referential relationships. The most highlighted benefits that can be delivered by applying the ontology technology to the knowledge map include; formal expression about knowledge and its relationships with others, automatic identification of the knowledge network based on the function of self-inference on the referential relationships, and automatic expansion of the knowledge-base designed to categorize and store knowledge according to the network between knowledge. To enable the referential navigation between knowledge included in the knowledge map, and therefore to form the knowledge map in the format of a network, the ontology must describe knowledge according to the relation with the process and task. A process is composed of component tasks, while a task is activated after any required knowledge is inputted. Since the relation of cause and effect between knowledge can be inherently determined by the sequence of tasks, the referential relationship between knowledge can be circuitously implemented if the knowledge is modeled to be one of input or output of each task. To describe the knowledge with respect to related process and task, the Protege-OWL, an editor that enables users to build ontologies for the Semantic Web, is used. An OWL ontology-based knowledge map includes descriptions of classes (process, task, and knowledge), properties (relationships between process and task, task and knowledge), and their instances. Given such an ontology, the OWL formal semantics specifies how to derive its logical consequences, i.e. facts not literally present in the ontology, but entailed by the semantics. Therefore a knowledge network can be automatically formulated based on the defined relationships, and the referential navigation between knowledge is enabled. To verify the validity of the proposed concepts, two real business process-oriented knowledge maps are exemplified: the knowledge map of the process of 'Business Trip Application' and 'Purchase Management'. By applying the 'DL-Query' provided by the Protege-OWL as a plug-in module, the performance of the implemented ontology-based knowledge map has been examined. Two kinds of queries to check whether the knowledge is networked with respect to the referential relations as well as the ontology-based knowledge network can infer further facts that are not literally described were tested. The test results show that not only the referential navigation between knowledge has been correctly realized, but also the additional inference has been accurately performed.
Over the past 20 years, Korea's overall import and export cargo volume has increased at an average annual rate of approximately 5.3%. About 99% of the cargo is still being transported by sea. Due to recent increases in maritime cargo volume, congestion in maritime logistics has become challenging due to factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and conflicts. Continuous monitoring of ports has become crucial. Various ground observation systems and Automatic Identification System (AIS) data have been utilized for monitoring ports and conducting numerous preliminary studies for the efficient operation of container terminals and cargo volume prediction. However, small and developing countries' ports face difficulties in monitoring due to environmental issues and aging infrastructure compared to large ports. Recently, with the increasing utility of artificial satellites, preliminary studies have been conducted using satellite imagery for continuous maritime cargo data collection and establishing ocean monitoring systems in vast and hard-to-reach areas. This study aims to visually detect ships docked at berths in the Busan New Port using high-resolution satellite imagery and quantitatively evaluate berth utilization rates. By utilizing high-resolution satellite imagery from Compact Advanced Satellite 500-1 (CAS500-1), Korea Multi-Purpose satellite-3 (KOMPSAT-3), PlanetScope, and Sentinel-2A, ships docked within the port berths were visually detected. The berth utilization rate was calculated using the total number of ships that could be docked at the berths. The results showed variations in berth utilization rates on June 2, 2022, with values of 0.67, 0.7, and 0.59, indicating fluctuations based on the time of satellite image capture. On June 3, 2022, the value remained at 0.7, signifying a consistent berth utilization rate despite changes in ship types. A higher berth utilization rate indicates active operations at the berth. This information can assist in basic planning for new ship operation schedules, as congested berths can lead to longer waiting times for ships in anchorages, potentially resulting in increased freight rates. The duration of operations at berths can vary from several hours to several days. The results of calculating changes in ships at berths based on differences in satellite image capture times, even with a time difference of 4 minutes and 49 seconds, demonstrated variations in ship presence. With short observation intervals and the utilization of high-resolution satellite imagery, continuous monitoring within ports can be achieved. Additionally, utilizing satellite imagery to monitor changes in ships at berths in minute increments could prove useful for small and developing country ports where harbor management is not well-established, offering valuable insights and solutions.

As the Public Procurement Service announced the compulsory of BIM adaption in every public construction from 2016, the importance of BIM is increasing. Besides, automatic code checking takes significance in terms of the quality control for BIM based design. In this study, rule-sets were defined for Act on the Promotion and Guarantee of Access for the Disabled, the Aged, and Pregnant Women to Facilities and Information. Three analytic steps were suggested to shortlist the objective clauses from the entire code; the frequency analysis using project reviews for architectural code compliance, the clause analysis on quantifiability, and the analysis for model checking possibilities. The shortlisted clauses were transformed into the machine readable rule-set definition. A case study was conducted to verify the adaptiveness and consistency of rule-set definitions. In future study, it is required the methodologies of selecting objective clauses to be specified and its indicators to be quantified. Also case studies should be performed to determine the pre-conditions in modeling and to check interoperability issues and other possible errors in models.
The growing demand for customer-responsive, made-to-order manufacturing is stimulating the need for improved dynamic decision-making processes in commercial fleet operations. Moreover, the rapid growth of electronic commerce through the internet is also requiring advanced and precise real-time operation of vehicle fleets. Accompanying these demand side developments/pressures, the growing availability of technologies such as AVL(Automatic Vehicle Location) systems and continuous two-way communication devices is driving developments on the supply side. These technologies enable the dispatcher to identify the current location of trucks and to communicate with drivers in real time affording the carrier fleet dispatcher the opportunity to dynamically respond to changes in demand, driver and vehicle availability, as well as traffic network conditions. This research investigates key aspects of real time dynamic routing and scheduling problems in fleet operation particularly in a truckload pickup-and-delivery problem under various settings, in which information of stochastic demands is revealed on a continuous basis, i.e., as the scheduled routes are executed. The most promising solution strategies for dealing with this real-time problem are analyzed and integrated. Furthermore, this research develops. analyzes, and implements hybrid algorithms for solving them, which combine fast local heuristic approach with an optimization-based approach. In addition, various partitioning algorithms being able to deal with large fleet of vehicles are developed based on 'divided & conquer' technique. Simulation experiments are developed and conducted to evaluate the performance of these algorithms.

This study proposes the analysis method in sentence semantics that can be automatically identified and processed as appropriate items in the system according to the composition of the sentences contained in the data corresponding to the logical semantic structure metadata of the research papers. In order to achieve the purpose, the structure of sentences corresponding to 'Research Objectives' and 'Research Outcomes' among the semantic structure metadata was analyzed based on the number of words, the link word types, the role of many-appeared words in sentences, and the end types of a word. As a result of this study, the number of words in the sentences was 38 in 'Research Objectives' and 212 in 'Research Outcomes'. The link word types in 'Research Objectives' were occurred in the order such as Causality, Sequence, Equivalence, In-other-word/Summary relation, and the link word types in 'Research Outcomes' were appeared in the order such as Causality, Equivalence, Sequence, In-other-word/Summary relation. Analysis target words like '역할(Role)', '요인(Factor)' and '관계(Relation)' played a similar role in both purpose and result part, but the role of '연구(Study)' was little different. Finally, the verb endings in sentences were appeared many times such as '~고자', '~였다' in 'Research Objectives', and '~었다', '~있다', '~였다' in 'Research Outcomes'. This study is significant as a fundamental research that can be utilized to automatically identify and input the metadata element reflecting the common logical semantics of research papers in order to support researchers' scholarly sensemaking.
