쓰레기자동집하시설의 악취저감대책에 대한 고찰 (A Study of Odor Reduction Method for Automatic Waste Collection Facilities)

  • The method of residential waste and food waste collecting is changed into automatic waste collection(AWC) system from direct collection by human resource. To solve the problem caused by odour from AWC facilities, the structure of input facilities, conveying pipes and collecting facilities have been changed into closed and sealed construction to enclosed the facilities and collect odour efficiently. Based on cases and experiences, to treat variable odour matters which are caused by food waste, chemical cleaning method is preferable method to cope with odour caused by food waste.

  • In this study, an intelligent solenoid valve controller has been developed for automatic maintaining of filters in a dust collecting system. This controller has automatic controllability of solenoid valves' ON/OFF time depending on the clogging status of filters, and then it can extend the filters' lifetimes, decrease the power consumption, and make effective operation of the system possible. This controllability has been executed by the fuzzy theory that utilizes the workers' experimental knowledges, the control expert's knowledges and the differential pressures between the inlets and outlets measured by the sensors.

무인항공기시스템 사고요인 분석을 통한 안전 운용방안 고찰 (A Study on the Safety Management of UAS by Analyzing Its Accident Factors)

  • This study investigated the accident cases of the U.S. Air Force and the R.O.K. Army. It analyzed the accident factors of the unmanned aircraft system using case analysis on unmanned aircraft system operators of the R.O.K. Air Force. Following the analysis this paper suggested safety operation plans for the R.O.K. Air Force. The risk factors of unmanned aircraft system were summarized by collecting and analyzing accident cases of unmanned aircraft system by the U.S. Air Force, collecting and analyzing accident risk factors of RQ-4 operators of the R.O.K. Air Force. Through the analyzed risk factors, a safety operation plan for the semi-automatic unmanned aircraft system and the fully automatic unmanned aircraft system was presented.

This controller has automatic controllability of solenoid valves' ON/OFF time depending on the clogging status of filters, and then it can extend the filters' lifetimes, decrease the power consumption, and make effective operation of the system possible. This controllability has been executed by the fuzzy theory that utilizes the workers' experimental knowledges, the control expert's knowledges and the differential pressures between the inlets and outlets measured by the sensors. The system's operation is under the continuous surveillance by using a current transformer, which warns the operators and lets them take necessary actions in case of abnormal operation.

An Automatic and Scalable Application Crawler for Large-Scale Mobile Internet Content Retrieval

  • The mobile internet has grown ubiquitous across the globe with the widespread use of smart devices. However, the designs of modern mobile operating systems and their applications limit content retrieval with mobile applications. The mobile internet is not as accessible as the traditional web, having more man-made restrictions and lacking a unified approach for crawling and content retrieval. In this study, we propose an automatic and scalable mobile application content crawler, which can recognize the interaction paths of mobile applications, representing them as interaction graphs and automatically collecting content according to the graphs in a parallel manner. The crawler was verified by retrieving content from 50 non-game applications from the Google Play Store using the Android platform. The experiment showed the efficiency and scalability potential of our crawler for large-scale mobile internet content retrieval.

  • 검침원이 방문을 통하여 계량기 지침을 읽고, 핸디 터미널을 이용하여 지침값을 입력하는 검침업무 시스템은 사생활 침해, 미검침 처리 및 오검침, 과다한 검침 비용 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이런 고객서비스질의 저하를 막기 위하여 계량기의 지침을 자동으로 인식하고, RF 모듈를 이용하여 무선으로 검침데이터를 전송할 수 있는 원격검침 시스템을 설계하였다. 검침 데이터의 원시 자료 수집부터 수용가의 사용량 정보에 대한 통계정보 관리에 이르기까지의 전체적인 시스템을 설계함으로써 고객에게 보다 정확하고 구체적인 사용 정보를 제공하여 서비스의 만족도와 신뢰도를 향상 시킬 수 있으리라 사료된다.

  • The ubiquitous sensor network technique is widely applied to variety of information fields such as home automations, logistics, traffic controls, public administrations, health and environment monitoring and etc. It is particularly useful in the areas where energy consumption is minimal and where continuous monitoring of the surrounding environments, which generates streams of data, are required. In this study, we have designed and implemented a living environment automatic control system which collects the streams of temperature, humidity, light and noise data of a simulated house setting in real-time fashion, then controls the home environment based on the collected data according to the users favorites. In order to differentiate the proposed system from the currently existing similar system, we have demonstrated not only the feasibility of collecting data using sensor network in the controlled environment but also the ability to control the various household equipments through wireless communications.

AUTOMATIC CABBAGE FEEDING, PILING, AND UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR TRACTOR IMPLEMENTED CHINESE CABBAGE HARVESTER

  • Since Chinese cabbages weigh 3 to 5kgf and are big in size at the time of harvest, handling operations such as harvesting, loading and unloading including transportation require the highest labor demand among all other cultivation processes. Recently, though several cabbage harvesters were developed in Japan and Europe, those harvesters were not suitable for Chinese cabbages cultivated in Korea because of the size and shape. The cabbage harvester is almost meaningless without any proper cabbage piling and pallet unloading mechanism. Most harvesters developed so far adopted a sort of slide and free falling way in collecting cabbages into the pallet. Three or four labors are usually required for cleaning incoming cabbages and loading those in the pallet. Because of the required time for piling cabbages without severe damage and the required space capacity to carry empty and loaded pallets, harvesting speed should be adjusted in accordance with time required for consecutive operations. Up to now, any automatic or semi-automatic collecting device has not been developed in the world to pile cabbages on the layer one by one into the pallet in the ordered way with little damage and to unload pallet from the harvester continuously during the harvest process. To compromise system expenses and function, Semi-automatic cabbage piling and pallet unloading mechanism was devised and it required one labor. The foldable mesh pallet with a size of 1050mm x 1050mm x 1000mm and holding capacity of around 70 cabbages was utilized. The prototype for piling and unloading mechanism was composed of three parts such as feeding device, automatic piling device with retractable bellows, and pallet unloading device. Prior to developing the prototype, the geometric properties and the amount of the damage of the cabbage caused during the piling operation were investigated. Considering the height of the pallet, a series of cabbage carrying plates were mounted to the bracket chain to lift and to carry cabbages to the loading device. Indoor laboratory experiments showed that the cabbage carrying chain conveyor worked successfully. Considering the conveying speed 0.46m/sec of the pull up belt from the cabbages on the ground, the speed of cabbage carrying chain conveyor worked property in the range of 0.26m/sec to 0.36m/sec. The system allowed the operator to modify the position of cabbage slightly. Overall system worked successfully resulting into almost same capacity without severe damage to the cabbage as human did.

다채널 선형자동흡연장치 부착형 부류연 포집장치의 개발과 평가 (The Development and Evaluation of Sidestream Smoke Collecting Apparatus Compatible for Linear Smoking Machine)

  • The Fishtail Chimney system mounted on 1 channel smoking machine is not appropriate for the routine analysis of sidestream smoke, because of its low repeatability and very long time required for smoke collection. To overcome this inconvenience, we developed a new sidestream smoke collecting apparatus compatible for 8 channel linear smoking machine. An electric motor driven stroke and automatic control system were adopted in this device to maximize convenience and efficiency of its operation. Also, we carried out the international collaborative study on monitoring sidestream smoke analysis to test the performance of this system. From the statistical analysis of the data obtained in our laboratory and other participating labs, it has been indicated that the newly developed sidestream smoke collection apparatus could be applicable to the routine analysis of sidestream smoke.
