The purpose of this study is to compare the reduction of the dose radioactivity by CARE kV with that of the Bismuth shielding. First, CT was performed with transparent materials, including a Bismuth shielder which is a well-known material for decreasing the dose of radiation. Moreover, we have estimated and compared the affects of the reduction of dose on eye lens, thyroid, breast and genitals. These steps aim to compare reactions with and without the application of the Rando phantom with PLD as well as with CARE kV or not. As a result, during the Brain angio scan, the dose of CARE kV set inspection test methods showed the least dose. Depending on whether we use CARE kV, which showed the effect of dose reduction by 63%. During the Carotid angio scan, the dose was increased by 13% by how to set CARE kV+Bismuth. During the Cardiac angio scan, which showed the effect of dose reduction by 31% by how to set CARE kV+Bismuth. During the Lower extremity angio scan, the dose was measured least by how to set up the whole Bismuth. Compared with CARE kV set of test methods, which showed the effect of dose reduction by 9%.

LiDAR has been one of the widely used and important technologies for 3D modeling of ground surface and objects because of its ability to provide dense and accurate range measurement. The objective of this research is to develop a method for automatic detection and modeling of railroad power lines using high density LiDAR data and RANSAC algorithms. For detecting railroad power lines, multi-echoes properties of laser data and shape knowledge of railroad power lines were employed. Cuboid analysis for detecting seed line segments, tracking lines, connecting and labeling are the main processes. For modeling railroad power lines, iterative RANSAC and least square adjustment were carried out to estimate the lines parameters. The validation of the result is very challenging due to the difficulties in determining the actual references on the ground surface. Standard deviations of 8cm and 5cm for x-y and z coordinates, respectively are satisfactory outcomes. In case of completeness, the result of visual inspection shows that all the lines are detected and modeled well as compare with the original point clouds. The overall processes are fully automated and the methods manage any state of railroad wires efficiently.

This paper proposes fast image processing algorithms using SSE (Streaming SIMD Extensions) instructions. The CPU's supporting SSE instructions have 128bit XMM registers; data included in these registers are processed at the same time with the SIMD (Single Instruction Multiple Data) mode. This paper develops new SIMD image processing algorithms for Mean filter, Sobel horizontal edge detector, and Morphological erosion operation which are most widely used in automated optical inspection systems and compares their processing times. In order to objectively evaluate the processing time, the developed algorithms are compared with OpenCV 1.0 operated in SISD (Single Instruction Single Data) mode, Intel's IPP 5.2 and MIL 8.0 which are fast image processing libraries supporting SIMD mode. The experimental result shows that the proposed algorithms on average are 8 times faster than the SISD mode image processing library and 1.4 times faster than the SIMD fast image processing libraries. The proposed algorithms demonstrate their applicability to practical image processing systems at high speed without commercial image processing libraries or additional hardwares.
Objective : To define optimal method that calculate the safe direction of cervical pedicle screw placement using computed tomography (CT) image based three dimensional (3D) cortical shell model of human cervical spine. Methods : Cortical shell model of cervical spine from C3 to C6 was made after segmentation of in vivo CT image data of 44 volunteers. Three dimensional Cartesian coordinate of all points constituting surface of whole vertebra, bilateral pedicle and posterior wall were acquired. The ideal trajectory of pedicle screw insertion was defined as viewing direction at which the inner area of pedicle become largest when we see through the biconcave tubular pedicle. The ideal trajectory of 352 pedicles (eight pedicles for each of 44 subjects) were calculated using custom made program and were changed from global coordinate to local coordinate according to the three dimensional position of posterior wall of each vertebral body. The transverse and sagittal angle of trajectory were defined as the angle between ideal trajectory line and perpendicular line of posterior wall in the horizontal and sagittal plane. The averages and standard deviations of all measurements were calculated. Results : The average transverse angles were $50.60^{\circ}{\pm}6.22^{\circ}$ at C3, $51.42^{\circ}{\pm}7.44^{\circ}$ at C4, $47.79^{\circ}{\pm}7.61^{\circ}$ at C5, and $41.24^{\circ}{\pm}7.76^{\circ}$ at C6. The transverse angle becomes more steep from C3 to C6. The mean sagittal angles were $9.72^{\circ}{\pm}6.73^{\circ}$ downward at C3, $5.09^{\circ}{\pm}6.39^{\circ}$ downward at C4, $0.08^{\circ}{\pm}6.06^{\circ}$ downward at C5, and $1.67^{\circ}{\pm}6.06^{\circ}$ upward at C6. The sagittal angle changes from caudad to cephalad from C3 to C6. Conclusion : The absolute values of transverse and sagittal angle in our study were not same but the trend of changes were similar to previous studies. Because we know 3D address of all points constituting cortical shell of cervical vertebrae. we can easily reconstruct 3D model and manage it freely using computer program. More creative measurement of morphological characteristics could be carried out than direct inspection of raw bone. Furthermore this concept of measurement could be used for the computing program of automated robotic screw insertion.
In order to satisfy the requirements of dynamic X-ray imaging with high frame rate and low image lag, minimizing parasitic capacitance in photodiode and overlapped electrodes in pixels is critically required. This study presents duoPIXTM dynamic X-ray imaging sensor composing of readout thin film transistor, reset thin film transistor and photodiode in a pixel. Furthermore, dynamic X-ray detector using duoPIXTM imaging sensor was manufactured and evaluated its X-ray imaging performances such as frame rate, sensitivity, noise, MTF and image lag. duoPIXTM dynamic X-ray detector has 150 × 150 mm2 imaging area, 73 um pixel pitch, 2048 × 2048 matrix resolution(4.2M pixels) and maximum 50 frames per second. By means of comparison with conventional dynamic X-ray detector, duoPIXTM dynamic X-ray detector showed overall better performances than conventional dynamic X-ray detector as shown in the previous study.

Domestic bridges with a service life of more than 30 years are expected to account for approximately 54% of all bridges within the next 10 years. As bridges rapidly deteriorate, it is necessary to establish an appropriate maintenance plan. Recent domestic and international research have focused on the integration of BIM to digitize bridge maintenance information and then enhance accessibility and usability of the information. Accordingly, this study developed a BIM-FEM interoperability algorithm for bridge decks to convert maintenance information into data and efficiently manage the history of maintenance. After creating an initial crack BIM based on an exterior damage map, bridge specification and damage information were linked to a numerical analysis that performs damage analysis considering damage scenarios and design loads. The spread of cracks obtained from the analysis results were updated into the BIM. Based on the damage spread information on the BIM, an automated technology was also developed to assess both the current and future condition ratings of the bridge deck. This approach can enable an efficient maintenance of the deck using the history data from bridge inspection and diagnosis as well as future information on cracks and defects. The expected early detection and prevention would ultimately improve the lifespan and safety of bridges.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency of people who are tired of living indoors visiting nearby mountains and national parks to relieve depression and lethargy has exploded. There is a place where thousands of people who came out of nature stop walking and breathe and rest, that is the mineral spring. Even in mountains or national parks, there are about 600 mineral springs that can be found occasionally in neighboring parks or trails in the metropolitan area. However, due to irregular and manual water quality tests, people drink mineral water without knowing the test results in real time. Therefore, in this study, we intend to develop a model that can predict the quality of the spring water in real time by exploring the factors affecting the quality of the spring water and collecting data scattered in various places. After limiting the regions to Seoul and Gyeonggi-do due to the limitations of data collection, we obtained data on water quality tests from 2015 to 2020 for about 300 mineral springs in 18 cities where data management is well performed. A total of 10 factors were finally selected after two rounds of review among various factors that are considered to affect the suitability of the mineral spring water quality. Using AutoML, an automated machine learning technology that has recently been attracting attention, we derived the top 5 models based on prediction performance among about 20 machine learning methods. Among them, the catboost model has the highest performance with a prediction classification accuracy of 75.26%. In addition, as a result of examining the absolute influence of the variables used in the analysis through the SHAP method on the prediction, the most important factor was whether or not a water quality test was judged nonconforming in the previous water quality test. It was confirmed that the temperature on the day of the inspection and the altitude of the mineral spring had an influence on whether the water quality was unsuitable.
