Interactive 3D Convergence Contents Authoring Tool Design for Smart Learning (스마트교육을 위한 인터랙티브 3D 융합 콘텐츠 저작도구 설계)

  • There is little study related to the 3D convergence contents authoring tool for teacher. In this study, we purposed the design of the interactive 3D convergence contents authoring tool for a teacher. To draw the design, firstly, we investigated the authoring environment of teachers and interviewed teachers. Based on this investigations, we proposed the functional requirement and UI/UX(User Interface/User Experience) design of it. And we investigated the level of focusing group satisfication with the UI/UX design. Based on these results, we will implement the authoring tool.

  • In the smart education era, it is crucial for the teacher to make lecture materials in the form of 3D convergence contents for themselves. In this study, we developed an interactive authoring tool to create 3D convergence contents for the teacher. The proposed system was implemented based on a commercial 3D engine for practicality. To evaluate the usability of the tool, we conducted a satisfaction survey of a focus group. As a result, we concluded that the proposed authoring tool was useful to create desired contents but rather complicated to use due to the text-based script editor. In the following research we will improve the editor so that it can be used in a more intuitive manner.

  • The smart education is performed in the education field, but the contents related to the subject class performed in the various smart devices are insufficient and it is necessary to continue training teacher and learner for the app development education. Therefore this study developed and applied the contents production education program of the game type web app around elementary science 6 grade 1 term utilizing Storyline authoring tools, similar to PowerPoint and be executable in the various devices. After educating students, we investigate the convenience of the use of Storyline, satisfaction level of learning contents work activity, and the continued availability, and etc,. They are interested in the activity of the smart educational contents development and they wished to participate in the continued app development education and activity in spite of it make difficulty for using English menu.

  • School library concentrates its focus on how information literacy is implemented through the collaborative efforts of classroom teachers and teacher librarian. The role of teacher librarian and the competencies they need in order to succeed have changed over many years. However, current LIS education for teacher librarian has limitations in terms of institution, curriculum. In this research, I designed and implemented an Internet-based educational contents development and evaluation for teacher librarian's competency. This system was development by lecture authoring tool(LectureMAKER v2.0). This study tested the effectiveness of the system was verified by survey by 51 college students. The test paper consisted of 20 items(5 scale) for measuring teaching competencies of college students. This study verified effectiveness of the Internet-Based Educational Contents by two dependent samples t-test, Levene test.

A Study on improving the Functions of Authoring Tool for Educational Contents (교육용 콘텐츠 저작을 위한 개발 툴 기능 개선 연구)

  • With the development of information and communications technologies, there have been increasing cases of services and use free educational materials in educational field through the Web. However, as most of the materials are provided in a finished form via the Web services, teachers are in a situation where they have difficulty in using the materials through development or revision according to their educational goals. In this background, this study aimed to develop requirements and functions necessary for the educational contents development tools by having teachers as actual users develop contents using existing tools of the educational contents development. As a result, this study developed 10 requirements, including intuitive interface environment, support for various multimedia materials, and diversification of output versions etc. Also, the study suggested 13 functions, including links with external resources, automatic format conversion function, usage and editing of existing documents, writing learner's answers, and hiding function etc.
