본 논문은 갈수록 그 중요성이 높아져가는 영상 아카이브 연구의 시론적 성격을 가지며, 일차적으로 영상 아카이브의 역사적 맥락을 고찰하는 것이 주요 목적이다. 이를 위해 우선 영상 아카이브의 바탕이 되는 영상 개념의 역사적 흐름을 검토하며 영상 아카이브 개념을 살펴볼 것이다. 그런 다음, 기록물로서의 영상 아카이브 그리고 장소와 기관으로서의 영상 아카이브를 다루면서 기존 종이문서 위주의 타 아카이브들(수집/보존/활용 등), 즉 공공기록보존소, 도서관, 박물관과 차별되는 영상 아카이브의 특이성들을 드러낼 것이다. 마지막으로 오늘날 디지털 시대의 영상 아카이브의 쟁점 중 디지털 포맷 및 복원 문제를 한정적으로 살펴볼 것이다. 이를 통해 본 논문은 향후 국내에서 정책적인 실천적 차원에서 설립되어야 할 다양한 영상 아카이브와 아직 걸음마 단계인 영상 아카이브 연구 활성화에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Analyzing various works of Nam June Paik who pioneered the world of video art, we can find a number of audiovisual art pieces - in a broad sense - with the characteristics of "intermedia" that are not clearly identified as one genre. Especially, his career as a musician becomes an important clue for us to discuss the unique originality found in Paik's works. Nevertheless, examples of research that specifically explore how Paik's musicality is reflected in his artistry and could be deeply understood is still rare. This article examines Paik's audiovisual art world, and reviews how his musicality is expressed through the characteristics of media and form, as well as contributed to the ultimate technical and aesthetic realizations of his pieces from the perspective of musical synesthesia. The fact that Paik expanded the concept of music through technology, and fused different media to visualize music, is an important achievement in the context of aesthetic, synesthetic music in the field of audiovisual art.

는 음악과 영상의 결합을 주제로 하는 오디오비주얼아트 전시 시리즈이다. 2013년 첫 전시를 시작으로 총 5회에 걸쳐 개최되었으며, 오디오비주얼아트의 분야의 핵심 이슈인 공감각에 대한 탐구의 노력으로 '음악의 전시'라는 주제 아래 시각과 청각의 미디어를 융합한 작품을 선보여 왔다. 이러한 성과는 현대예술의 주요 주제인 복합감각 및 공감각의 개념을 선도적으로 제시한 사례라 할 수 있으며, 최근에는 기존 공감각의 영역과 차원을 확장하는 가능성을 모색하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전시 전체의 상세한 내용을 작품목록 및 사진과 함께 정리하여 상세히 소개하고, 작품 창작의 영감을 제공한 백남준의 오디오비주얼아트 작품 세계에서 발견되는 음악, 공감각, 공간의 맥락에서 해당 전시의 이론적 바탕과 창조적 영감을 고찰한다. 궁극적으로는 이러한 과정을 통하여 백남준의 작품 세계에서 확장되는 오디오비주얼아트 작품 제작과 분석의 비전 확립에 기여하고, 이를 향후 새로운 작품 창작의 디딤돌로 삼고자 한다.

By enabling musicians to freely control the elements involved in sound production and tone generation with a variety of timbre, synthesizers have revolutionized and permanently changed music since the 1960s. Paik-Abe Video Synthesizer, a masterpiece of video art maestro Nam June Paik, is a prominent example of re-interpretation of this new musical instrument in the realm of video and audio. This article examines Paik-Abe Video Synthesizer as an innovative instrument to play videos from the perspective of audiovisual art, and establishes its aesthetic value and significance through both artistic and technical analysis. The instrument, which embodied the concept of image sampling and real-time interactive video as an image-based multi-channel music production tool, contributed to establishing a new relationship between sound and image within the realm of audiovisual art. The fact that his video synthesizer not only adds image to sound, but also presents a complete fusion of image and sound as an image instrument with musical characteristics, becomes highly meaningful in this age of synesthesia.

In modern educational practices, the issue of dependence on the experience of using multimedia by students and the adoption of technologies in education, the perception of their benefits and effectiveness in blended learning is little covered. The purpose of the academic paper lies in assessing the audiovisual context of multimedia technologies, its acceptance by students in practice on the example of using video lectures in blended learning. The methodology is based on an online survey of 120 students of Ukrainian universities who have assessed the experience level in using video lectures, as well as the constructs as follows: Technology Characteristics, Fit, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude, Intention to Use, Actual Use. The results show that the majority of students use video lectures to a certain extent in their training (20,8% have used technology to a certain extent, 49,2% have often used technology in training, 20% are regular users of technology). It has been revealed that most students agree with the relevance of video lectures, the accuracy of lectures, the brevity of lectures, the clarity of lectures, as well as the high quality of lecture videos. It has been estimated that 42,5% believe that lecture videos are an effective tool towards supporting students in hybrid learning. 26,7% of students consider video lectures to be appropriate technologies for online / hybrid courses. In general, 37,5% of respondents find video lectures useful; however, 35,0% do not agree with this statement. 83,3% of students have rated the high level of ease of access to video. In total, 95% of students find lecture videos easy to use. In general, positive attitude of students to video lectures has been revealed.

전자기록 환경에서는 아날로그 기록물의 디지털화 방안에 대한 논의와 함께, 전자적으로 생산, 접수된 기록물에 대한 유형별 보존전략 마련이 중요하게 인식된다. 같은 맥락에서, 문서유형 외 데이터세트, 시청각 유형 전자기록물의 장기보존을 목표로 보존포맷 선정체계를 적용하기 위한 논의가 필요하다. 시청각 기록물은 이미지, 오디오, 비디오와 같이 매체별 특성에 적합한 보존전략을 적용해야 한다. 본 연구는 시청각 중 오디오 유형 전자기록물의 보존포맷 선정을 위한 고유기준을 문헌 조사에 바탕을 둔 필수보존속성 분석을 통해 수립하고, 오디오 유형 보존포맷 적합성 평가항목을 구성하고 이를 적용한 결과를 토대로 권고포맷을 제안했다.

In the age of information, newly produced knowledge is mostly written in English. Therefore, there has been a strong demand for English language learning in the EFL context. However, most EFL learners possess a lack of interest and motivation in the text-based reading class. In this educational context, film is one of the most widely used materials in English reading classes considering that modern learners are predominantly familiar with various audiovisual materials. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Korean EFL learners experienced in the film-based reading class. Specifically, this study aims to analyze the EFL students' perceptions about the class and learning strategies that they used during the class. In order to comprehensively interpret the EFL learners' experiences in the classroom, a coding system consisting of five categories was developed: report, emotion, reflection, evaluation, future plans. The results of data analysis showed that the use of movies in English reading classes had positive effects on reading comprehension and inference of word meaning. The most frequently used learning strategies were affective strategies which helped them control their emotion, attitude, motivations and values, whereas memorization strategies were rarely used. In this respect, this study suggests that the use of movies in the EFL reading classroom encourage students' attention and help them obtain and activate schema which is useful in gaining a better understanding of text-based reading materials.

웹 정보체계에서 여러 가지 다양한 종류의 정보자원을 보다 효과적으로 관리하기 위하여, 인터넷 정보를 기술하고 있는 서로 다른 메타데이터 표준들간의 상호운용성 문제가 점차 중요한 비중을 차지하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 IFLA의 FRBR, INDECS, ABC 모델 등의 상호연동 모델들을 비교·분석함으로서, 다양한 형태의 메타데이터간의 상호연동을 위한 새로운 방식의 상호운용성 모델을 개발, 제안하였다. 리소스모델의 기본·메타데이터 항목 요소들로부터 중심이 되는 개체(core entity)와 이와 연관된 주요 사건(core event)들을 식별하고. 이를 리소스중심 중간모델과 이벤트중심 중간모델로 변환(swapping)하는 과정을, 구체적인 방법을 제시함으로써, 이들 모델간 전환 방법을 명확하게 제시하였다.

Background: Visual inspection of cervix with acetic acid (VIA) is offered at 252 centers in 64 districts of Bangladesh. VIA+ve women are managed at colposcopy clinics of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and 14 Medical College Hospitals (MCHs). This research work has been supported by 'UICC Cancer Prevention Campaign' programme. Objectives: This study explored the role of print materials and electronic media to improve cervical cancer screening in the present socio-cultural context of Bangladesh. Methods: This study was performed from January to August 2011 at two upazilas of Bangladesh (Singair with screening facility and Sonargaon without screening facility). Data were collected by focus group discussion (FGD) with women, husbands and community people before and after intervention. Information on cervical cancer screening and VIA camps was disseminated using advertisement through local cable line of the television, microphone announcement, service providers and leaflet throughout the week prior to a VIA camp. Three-day VIA camps were organized at the upazila health complex (UHC) of both upazilas. Quantitative data was gathered from women at the camps on source of information on VIA and the best method of awareness creation. Results: The population was aware of "cancer" and a notable number knew about cervical cancer. Baseline awareness on prevention and VIA was low and it was negligible where screening services were unavailable. Awareness was increased fourfold in both upazilas after interventions and half of the women and the majority of the community people became aware of screening and available facilities. Cable line advertisement (25.5%), microphone announcement (21.4%), and discussion sessions (20.4%) were effective for awareness creation on VIA. Television was mentioned as the best method (37.4%) of awareness creation. Conclusion: Television should be used for nation-wide awareness creation. For local awareness creation, cable line advertisement, microphone announcements and health education at Uthan Baithaks/ EPI sessions can easily be adopted by the government.

전자기록물은 그 특성상 휘발성과 불안정성이 높으며, 이를 장기간 이용할 수 있도록 유지하는 것은 중요하다. 국가기록원은 이를 위해 전자기록물 보존포맷 선정체계를 수립하였으나, 현재 보존포맷 선정체계는 문서 유형의 전자기록물만을 그 범위로 하고 있어 시청각기록물 등 다른 유형의 기록물에 적용하기에 적합하지 않다. 본 논문은 이미지 유형 전자기록물을 중심으로 기존 체계의 적용 범위 확장과 이미지 유형 전자기록물의 보존에 대한 기초적인 가이드라인 구축을 목적으로 한다. 국내에서 이미지 유형 전자기록물은 문서 유형 전자기록물 다음으로 가장 많은 수량을 가진 유형이다. 이미지 유형은 시청각기록물의 가장 기본적인 형태로, 이에 대한 연구는 향후 다른 시청각기록물에 관한 논의의 기반을 마련한다. 이에 본 연구는 이미지 유형 전자기록물에 대한 보존포맷 선정체계를 구축하였다. 이를 통해 향후 새로운 이미지 포맷의 등장에도 해당 체계를 활용하여 보존포맷의 적합성을 신속하고 효율적으로 평가할 수 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 연구에서 제안된 보존포맷 선정체계를 실제 이미지 포맷에 적용하여 평가를 진행하였으며, 그 결과로 TIFF, JFIF, PNG 포맷이 보존포맷으로 선정되었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 포맷 평가의 실질적인 참고 자료로써 활용될 수 있다.
