The causal relationships between participatory decision-making, organizational justice and work-life conflict, the ones between supervisory qualities and attitude, organizational justice, work-life conflict and job satisfaction, all of them reached the significance levels, not the causal relationship between supervisory qualityand attitude work-life conflict. Thus, the results for the interaction have shown, participatory decision-making and organizational justice and work-life conflict have negative influences on work-life conflict respectively, and supervisory qualities and attitude conflict, organizational justice conflict, work-life conflict have effect on job satisfaction with positive and negative effect. The Sobel-test showed that the Sobel-test statistic of the mediating effect of work-life conflict on causal relationships between organizational justice and job satisfaction is significant, but not in the mediating effect of work-life conflict on causal relationships between supervisory qualities and attitude and job satisfaction. According to the analytical results, work-life conflict is an important factor that can improve police officers' job satisfaction in the public organizational context with an open-oriented- system and culture for employees' participation in the process of decision making and equality and fairness for organizational management. It is also noted that work-life harmony for employees may be incompatible with the supervisor's perception of the work-oriented or prioritized-way in hierarchical organizations like police agencies.

  • This study examined the relationship between country-of-brand-origin perception and brand equity elements among Korean and Chinese male consumers. It also examined if there were differences between the two national consumers in the effect of country-of-brand-origin on brand evaluation. We analyzed survey responses from 414 Korean men and 393 Chinese men in their 20s-30s. Country-of-brand-origin perception was found positively related to brand awareness and brand image for both Korean and Chinese men in each group that selected domestic or foreign country-of-brand-origin. The results revealed a positive relationship between brand attitude and brand awareness as well as brand image for the two national consumers in each country-of-brand-origin selection group. The results indicated differences in the influence of brand image on brand attitude between these two male consumers in the group that selected the domestic country-of-brand-origin. The results also support the hypothesis on differences in the effect of country-of-brand-origin as well as brand evaluation between male consumers in the group that selected foreign country-of-brand-origin. This study has significant implications for fashion marketers, particularly when building brand equity by revealing country-of-brand-origin.

Type II, social relation style, experience a state of comfort when they perceive support or concern from medical staff, relatives or other patients suffering from similar diseases. They feel safe and secure when medical staff are kind and have a good reputation or when the size of the hospital is big enough, Type III, emotional wellbeing style, feel that hope for a healthy life or maintaining self-care activities are highly valuable. They feel safe and comfortable when their privacy is protected. They put worth on independent thinking, strong will, and emotional or psychological comfort. The results of this study can be used as a basis to develop nursing measures for comfort. Further studies on factors which influence perception of comfort and intervention strategies according to the above types of comfort need to be done.
