이 연구에서는 청소년과 부모의 실패와 미래성취에 대한 의식을 분석함으로써, 그동안의 선행연구 결과들과의 종합을 통해, 한국인의 성취관련 토착심리를 규명하는데 주된 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 분석대상은 989명이었는데, 청소년 482명(초 117명, 중 88명, 고 72명, 대 205명), 부모 507명(부 236명, 모 271명) 이었다. 질문지는 박영신과 김의철(1999)의 연구에서 사용한 것과 동일한 자유반응형 문항이었다. 실패 의식은 가장 고통스러운 실패경험, 실패에 가장 큰 영향을 준 사람, 실패의 가장 중요한 원인을 포함하였다. 미래성취 의식은 미래에 가장 성취하고 싶은 일, 미래의 성취를 위해 도움이 필요한 사람, 미래의 성취를 위해 필요한 도움의 내용, 미래성취를 위해 가장 중요한 요인을 다루었다. 분석결과, 청소년들은 학업실패를, 부모들은 가정생활실패, 학업실패 및 직업실패의 순서로, 가장 고통스러운 경험을 지적하였다. 실패에 가장 큰 영향을 준 사람으로, 청소년과 부모 모두 자기자신을 많이 지적하였다. 실패의 가장 중요한 원인은 노력과 의지력으로 대표되는 자기조절 결여로 나타났다. 미래에 가장 성취하고 싶은 일은 청소년의 경우에 취업과 학업성취였으며, 성인의 경우에 행복한 가정생활이었다. 미래성취를 위해 도움이 필요한 사람으로서 청소년은 부모를, 성인은 배우자를 가장 많이 지적하였으며, 이들로부터 필요한 도움의 내용으로는 두 집단 모두 정서적 지원을 대표적으로 인식하였다. 미래성취를 위해 가장 중요한 요인으로서, 청소년과 부모집단 각각 반수 이상이 자기조절을 지적하였다. 이러한 분석 결과와, 그동안 이루어진 일련의 선행연구 결과들에 기초하여, 한국인의 성취관련 토착심리로서 다음과 같은 특징들이 논의되었다. 1) 성취의 핵심적인 원인으로서, 노력에 가치를 두는 자기조절 경향성, 2) 성취를 위해 필요한 사회적 지원으로서, 가족으로부터 정서적 지원, 3) 한국 사회 발전의 원동력이 되어온, 학업성취에 대한 강한 열망, 4) 화목한 가정에 대한 추구를 통해 본 가족주의 가치.

The Epic of Gilgamesh drew heavily upon Mesopotamian literary tradition. Sin-leqe-uninni, the editor of Standard Version of the Epic of Gilgamesh in 13th century B.C.E. adopted the Old Babylonian version as well as older Sumerian tales about Gilgamesh. He also was very successful by extensive use of materials and literary forms originally unrelated to Gilgamesh. The epic opens with a standard type of hymnic-epic prologue. This study lens a measure of vindication to the theoretical approach by which Morris Jastrow recognized the diversity of the sources, which underlies the epic and succeeded in identifying some of them. Thanks to the ample documentation available for the literary development of the epic, we can trace the steps which its author and editors took with the result that the epic inspires fears and aspirations for more than three thousand years.

In this paper, we investigate the determinant factors of performance of global standardization experts in their standardization activities. Standards experts of various nationalities were surveyed to assess incentives that may positively influence the performance of standards professionals. As a basis for this study, we make three main assumptions. First, incentives can be important determinant factors of performance among standards experts. Second, standardization is in the public interest, insofar as the efficiency gains resulting from standardization benefit society as a whole. Third, based on this assumption that standardization is in the public interest, we propose that performance determinants for standardization activities tend to be non-monetary in nature rather than monetary. We find that, in order to improve performance among international standards experts, a better understanding of their aspirations and needs must be gained so that appropriate incentives may be proposed to them. Our analysis reveals that the two most important determinant factors of performance are the recognition of the professional status of international standards experts, and an environment providing support systems to help them perform to their fullest potential.

The East Asian Observatory (EAO) was established in 2014 by the East Asian Core Observatories Association (EACOA). The goal of the EAO is to build and operate world-class facilities on behalf of the East Asian regions, as a counterpart to the European Southern Observatory (ESO). Leading astronomical facilities such as ALMA, TMT, GMT, and SKA are mega projects which require enormous economic resources. It is difficult for any observatory or any country to fund such facilities on its own. EAO intends to combine the resources and manpower in our East Asian regions, in order to play a leading role in the next generation frontier instruments. The EACOA institutes: NAOC, NAOJ, KASI, and ASIAA, have authorized the EAO to take on the operations of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) on Mauna Kea as their first joint venture. In this talk, we will report on the development of EAO, our current operations of JCMT, and our future aspirations.

Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula is a congenital vascular malformation In the lung, various synonyms including Pulmonary cavernous vascular malformation, Pulmonary arteriovenous aneurysm, Cavernous hemangioma of the lung0 Pulmonary telangiectasia, Pulmonary hamartoma, etc. The pathogenesis of its symptoms is that unoxygenated, desaturated arterial blood enters into the pulmonary venous system directly. Recently we have experienced one case of the pulmonary arteriovenous fistula which was diagnosed as the pulmonary cystic lesion of the lung preoperatively in 20 years old, 61 kg, male patient. Operation was revealed well circumscribed cystic lesion filled with blood, subpleural and anterior mediobasal location, and bright red colored aspirates on two times needle aspirations. Microscopic finding shows ill circumscribed vascular lesion composed of varying sized blood vessels with irregular thickening of wall and final pathological diagnosis is Pulmonary Arteriovenous Fistula. Basal segmentectomy was done and the patient shows good postoperative course.

The aim of this paper is to suggest basic guidelines for the urban park development policy in Taegu. This research is mainly based on university students' essay on ＜private inquiry of urban park in Taegu＞. Talsong Park, the most popular site for the students' essay, was selected for the purpose of the study. The research focused on the general images of the park, negative images of the park and aspirations and demands for the park in relation with Talsong Park redevelopment policy. The research of this result suggested that the renovation of Talsong Park from zoo-oriented park to the historic ＆ cultural park status. The other main suggestion was consideration of public participation from the planning stage for the betterment of park management. In addition, the importance of environmental education for the local people was stressed in order to enhance public awareness of environment for the solution of our common environmental problems in relation with Local Agenda 21.

본 연구는 미국백인 고등학생들의 성별에 따른 직업소망을 가족배경변인과 시간제 취업경험을 중심으로 살펴보고 각 변인들이 남학생과 여학생에게 어떠한 영향을 끼치는가를 분석해보는데 의의가 있다 본연구는 미국 North Carolina주의 농촌지역에 위치한 고등학교 에 재학하고 있는 학생들중 시간제취업에 종사하고 있는 남학생 189명과 여학생 169명을 분 석대상으로 하였다. 가정배경변인과 시간제취어변인이 고등학생들의 직업소망에 어떠한 영 향을 미치는가에 대하여 경로모델을 제시하였고 모델을 사용하여 남학생과 여학생의 직업소 망에 영향을 미치는 정도를 검사하였다 남학생의 경우 아버지의 교육정도 어머니의 직업수 준 그리고 사회적 개방태도가 그들의 직업 소망에 영향을 미쳤으며 여학생의 경우에는 학업 성적만이 유일하게 직업소망에 영향을 미치는 변인으로 밝혀졌다.

이 연구는 한국 전통사회의 교육별이 오늘날이 교육열과 어떻게 연관되는가를 규명 하고자 하는 역사적 고찰로서 특히 과거제도가 가족 사회에 끼친 영향을 중심으로 분석하였 다 자료는 관련된 역사자료와 생활자료인 1차사료와 2차사료로 대별되는데 그중에서 여성의 간찰과 구비전승된 규방가사 서사민요, 무가 등과 현장조사에 기반한 민속자료가 주요자료 로 분석되었다, 그리하여 내용분석법과 역사민속학적인 방법에 의하여 밝혀진 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 과거제도의 장악을 통하여 확립된 중앙집권의 관료제와 학문숭상의 전통 그리 고 과거급제를 해야 가능해지는 관리로서의 등용을 주요가치로 지향하였던 출세주의 또 가 족의 영광은 집안남성의 과거급제라는 점에서 여성들이 내면화할 수밖에 없었던 가족주의가 적극적인 교육열의 역사적인 뿌리임을 밝혔다 이러한 전통은 교육기회가 평등해진 현대사회 에 여전히 한국인의 의식 깊숙이 내재되어 있다 그러나 학문숭상의 전통중에서 '수행'을 겸 함 학문을 추구한 사람파의 전통은 단절되고 출세를 목표로 하는 '학벌' 위주의 왜곡된 전통 만이 지속되어 과열된 교육열로 표출된다.

The story treats each individual's vision as well as social reality that the author intends to describe. The purpose of this article is to search for the conflict between vision and reality, especially in feminist problem that critics have treated on the works of women writers. Though some articles have studied on the issue similar to this article, I try to analyze the narratives in the text that the author herself confesses to us. I think that we can find out clear messages from the individuals who construct the human relationship and build up their personal history through their dialogue or monologue. We can also catch their main problems in the community. I discuss the topic by mentioning the detailed discourses referred to the heroine and other characters in the text. The passages mentioned by the characters in the story may be a confession for the present and future generation that the author tries to confess. From the excerpts of some discourse, I can conclude that though Dorothea has a vision for her ideal, she is a failed feminist, for society is too strong for her as Miller (1990) argues.

As a safety measure, dentures are routinely removed before surgery. Aspiration of a denture could be catastrophic, with medicolegal implications. Foreign body aspiration is uncommon in adults; however, aspirations may remain asymptomatic and undiagnosed for long periods of time. We report an adult male who presented with a cough for more than 6 months. On radiography, a foreign body was found migrating within the tracheobronchial tree from one mainstem bronchus to the other, at different time points. The foreign body was later found to be a portion of his denture. The aspiration may have occurred at the time of a surgical procedure.
