Felix Klein profoundly influenced mathematical developments throughout the world by showing a new direction for modem geometry. He also influenced the lives of excellent scientists like Einstein by reforming mathematical education. The first Felix Klein medal of the Internal Commission on Mathematical Instruction was awarded at ICME-10 in July of 2004. In this article, we discuss Klein's Erlangen Program and investigate his influence on modem mathematics and mathematical education with this medal as momentum.

This article explores bilateralization phenomena in Korean families through intimacy and interaction with matrilineal kins. In-depth interviews were conducted with married men and women aged from their mid-30s to mid-40s. The findings indicate that the intimacy range of participants was restricted to blood-based kins. The power hypothesis was supported for male participants. Some wanted to actively contact their spouse's family members, while others did not want to be connected with the spouse's families. Interaction with wives' families was based on the exchange perspective. In contrast, a complicated mechanism existed in the intimacy and interaction of female participants. Most of them were connected with in-laws in a passive way but actively interacted with their family-of-origin. However, some female respondents did not have good relationships with their mothers. Undifferentiation between mothers and married daughters negatively influenced their relationships. Therefore, it could be concluded that bilateralization phenomena in Korean families is another kind of shackle of patrilineal norms.

The purpose of this article is (1) to measure the attitudes of health care consumers towards medical service, the physicians' duty to provide information and patient self-determination options, (2) to discover the their related variables. The attitude of health care consumers towards medical service reveals statistically significant corelation with age and education. Among the statistically significant independent variables it is significantly related with age in the multiple regression analysis. The attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information reveals statistically significant corelation with age, education and the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service. Among these independent variables it is significantly related with the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service in the multiple regression analysis. The attitude of health care consumers towards patients' self-determination options reveals statistically significant corelation with age, the attitude of health care consumers towards medical service and the attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information. Among these independent variables it is significantly related with the attitude of health care consumers towards the physicians' duty to provide information in the multiple regression analysis.

The purpose of the this article was to determine the ideal Korean phonemes for the mandibular rest position. The subjects were 30 dentists and dental students who had normal occlusion and speech patterns. To determine the amount of mandibular opening, MKG was used for this study. The results were as follows: 1. The average mandibular rest position of Korean were -0.75(0.55)mm in horizontal plot (X), and -1.21(0.54) mm in vertical plot (Y). 2. The ideal medial sounds for the mandibular rest position were '으', '우' and '이'. 3. The ideal Korean consonants for the mandibular rest position were affricatives (ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅉ) and fricatives (ㅅ, ㅆ), vowels were back closed vowels (ㅡ, ㅜ). 4. The last consonants were affected by the proceeding vowels. 5. In Korean, the vowels were the most important factors that determine the rest position of mandible.

A triggered sparkp gap switch was fabricater and its high-voltage discharge characteristics were studied. The switch is composed of two main electrodes and one trigger electrode which is placed perpendicular to the main one. Spark gap distance was fixed by 25 mm. This device has been operated without self firing at the pulse repetition frequency from 1 to 20 Hz limited by the charging current, and the hold-off voltage from 10 to 30kV. An IGBT switch and igniter coil (originally used in a car) were adopted for a trigger circuit. In this article preliminary switch characteristics of the spark gap switch are reported with the emphasis on the description of the trigger circuit.

For the purpose of this analysis of trends in research on creativity of preschool children, 98 volumes with articles on the creativity of preschool children were selected from 6 reliable Korean academic journals. Analysis was for year, content, research methods, research design, and subjects. Results showed that (1) the changes by year were that the number of qualitative researches increased from 4 articles in 1998 to 24 articles in 2006. (2) The greatest amount of research content concerned educational methods for the generation of creativity. (3) Most research methods were empirical studies. (4) The most used measurement scale was the Korean Comprehensive Creativity Test for Young Children (Jeon, 2000). (5) Most data analyses were by t-test.

Microfracture as a reparative strategy is the treatment of choice for an osteochondral lesion of talus. Although the results of microfracture are generally excellent, at least 30% of patients who received microfracture have acute or chronic ankle pain with several or unknown causes. The most important factor for unsatisfactory outcome after microfracture is the size of the lesion. For failed osteochondral lesion of talus, the second options are autologous osteochondral graft, autologous chondrocyte implantation, or re-microfracture. In this article, we present the autologous chondrocyte implantation as a second procedure for failed microfracture and compare its clinical outcome with other methods based on a literature review.

We once have announced that we developed a horizontal large-area alignment system with an alignment accuracy of < ${\pm}3{\mu}m$ and an alignment time of < 30 seconds, a core process module for RGB direct pattering by using a fine metal mask, which can process a Gen 4 ($730{\times}920mm^2$) substrate for high resolution OLED products. In this article, we presents a brand-new vertical alignment system for a even larger substrate of Gen 5 and beyond which can provide a better alignment accuracy and a higher throughput. The newly developed system exhibits an alignment accuracy of < ${\pm}2{\mu}m$ and an alignment time of < 20 seconds which, we believe, can open a new era for manufacturing large-size OLED monitors and TVs.

Wi-Fi is a technology that has become an essential part of our lives, and not simply a convenience. Wi-Fi is mainly used indoors and is evolving in terms of an increase in the transmission speed and expanded coverage. 802.11ac Wi-Fi, operating at 5 GHz, and 802.11ad Wi-Fi, operating at 60 GHz, were standardized in the same year, 2012, as a gigabit-transmission speed Wi-Fi technology. In this article, we examine the current status of the Wi-Fi market trends and present the possibility of the development of 60 GHz Wi-Fi and future market prospects.

The method of pairwise comparison inherently contains information of ambiguity, fuzziness and conflict in design goals for a multiobjective structural design. This paper applies the principle of paired comparison so that the vaguely formulated problem can be modified and a set of numerically acceptable weight would reflect the relatively important degree of multiple objectives. This paper also presents a fuzzy global criterion method ($FGCM_{\lambda}$) included fuzzy constraints that coupled with the objective weighting rank obtained from the modified pairwise comparisons for fuzzy multiobjective optimization problems. Descriptions in sequence of this combined method and problem solving experiences are given in the current article. Multiobjective design examples of truss and mechanical spring structures illustrate this optimization process containing the revising judgement techniques.
