A Design and Implementation of Control Application for Arduino Prime Smart Car

  • In this paper, we design and implement an Application based on android platform, which can control arduino Prime Smart Car using Bluetooth communication. This Application consist of Bluetooth communication module, manual mode module, and line-tracer mode module. In the Bluetooth communication module, it checks the on/off status of Smartphone Bluetooth. If Bluetooth status is off, it activates Bluetooth, selects the corresponding device from Bluetooth device list, and connects with a pair. In order to reduce coding time, we implements Bluetooth communication using inherited class from android Bluetooth package. In the manual mode module, it implements six direction moving button and stop button, which can control arduino Prime Smart Car. In the line-tracer mode module, it implements Prime Smart Car with self-driving function using TCRT5000 sensor. And moving button and stop button is disabled.

  • 최근 가정 내 화재나 가스 누출 등을 감지하고, 사용자의 스마트 폰으로 알려주며 사용자가 원격에서 홈 시스템들을 제어 할 수 있다. 종래의 시스템은 화재, 가스 누출 등을 센서로 감지하여 고가의 셋톱박스에서 수신하여 사용자의 스마트 폰으로 알려주는 프로세스로 구성된다. 이러한 시스템들은 주로 Home Automation의 일환으로서, 화재 감지를 실시간으로 사용자에게 알려주고 가택 침입 상황을 사용자에게 알려주는 기능을 수행한다. 그런데, 종래의 Home Automation은 구축비용이 상당히 많이 소요되고, 셋톱 박스 역시 고가의 장비로서 일반 가정 내에 보급되기에는 많은 제약이 있는 실정이다. 따라서 보다 간단하고 편리한 시스템의 구축을 통해 보다 많은 가정 내에 홈 시스템이 이용될 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 홈 관리 및 모니터링 시스템과 그 방법에 관한 것을 개발 하였으며, 좀 더 구체적으로는 저비용, 고효율의 시스템으로 Actuator 와 스마트 폰을 이용한 홈 모니터링 및 관리를 위하여 Arduino와 Actuator를 이용하여 IoT기반의 탈부착이 자유로운 홈 원격 제어 시스템 개발하였다.

  • 최근 IOT(Internet of Things)환경에서 위치기반 서비스를 제공하기 위해 실내 위치인식 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며 실내 위치인식 기술은 주로 WiFi, 블루투스, RFID 등으로 구현되고 있다. 본 논문은 Arduino를 이용해 WiFi 측정 및 통신이 가능한 Smart Watch를 제작하였다. 실내위치 측위를 위해 WiFi Fingerprinting기법 Radiomap을 구축한 다음 Arduino Smart Watch에서 측정한 AP신호 값을 Radiomap과 비교하여 실내위치 측정 및 데이터 수집하였다. 향후 수집된 다수의 사용자 데이터를 군집도 분석하거나 실내공간에서의 IOT(Internet of Things)분야에 활용 가능 할 것으로 예상된다.

  • Recent Software education topic is GUI programing language 'Scratch' and the open source computing platform plus microcontroller boards 'Arduino'. S4A means a program that controls the Arduino to the scratch. In this paper, development for education content that using S4A and combination the Arduino sensors. and we developed the game in the form of training content by using a variety of tools.

  • This paper has been an era of full-fledged objects Internet of Things(IoT), which involved the subject of this communication in the communication paradigm of the human heart.   • Internet of Things(IoT), which is developing for the hyper connection society, is based on OSHW (Open Source Hardware) such as Arduino and various small products are emerging. Because of the limitation of low performance and low memory, the IoT is causing serious information security problem that it is difficult to apply strong security technology. In this paper, we analyze the vulnerability that can occur as a result of compiling and loading the application program of Arduino on the host computer. And we propose a new attack method that allows an attacker to arbitrarily change the value input from the sensor of the arduino board. Such as a proposed attack method may cause the arduino board to misinterpret environmental information and render it inoperable. By understanding these attack techniques, it is possible to consider how to build a secure development environment and cope with these attacks.

Design and Implementation of Arduino-based Efficient Home Security Monitoring System (아두이노 기반의 효율적인 홈 시큐리티 모니터링 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose an Arduino-based effective home security monitoring system. Proposed home security monitoring system consists of arduino which is inexpensive main processor, ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor to detect whether someone breaks into home. Data from ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor are transmitted to web server via ethernet shield connected to arduino. Web server checks whether someone breaks into home by using stored data from ultrasonic sensor and human body detection sensor. Snapshot is photographed via webcam connected by using JQuery. Photographed snapshot is stored in web server as image file. A user can monitor in web or smart device environment by using HTML5, CSS and Canvas. When examining efficiency of proposed home security monitoring system, it was found that proposed system is easier to be made than existing home security system and is cost effective by using arduino and is efficient and convenient and stable as it enables a user to handle an error in person and it uses reliable data.

  • In applying SW education for non-major undergraduates, we applied the physical computing lesson using Arduino. There is a case in which the basic problem-solving process teaching method based on the computational thinking was proposed in the physical computing class using Arduino. However, in educating computational thinking process, it is necessary to evaluate and educate understanding of SW structures. After understanding SW structures, it is correct SW education flow to make creative outputs by applying computational thinking process. However, there is a lack of examples of how to evaluate understanding of SW structures in the class using Arduino. In this paper, we proposed a one - semester curriculum for lectures on SW education using Arduino for non-majors. In addition, we proposed and analyzed the evaluation method of the understanding of SW structures and the evaluation problems developed in this course.

Smart Closet based on Arduino MEGA (아두이노 메가 기반의 스마트 옷장)

  • Modern people have many kinds of clothes for individuals, and not just for storing clothes, but also for managing the condition of the closet, and users of smart closets created smart closets that provide daily convenience and optimal closet conditions, suggesting the possibility of developing smart furniture for various environments. In this developed system, smart closet is controlled using app inventor and touch LCD through bluetooth wireless communication, based on Arduino MEGA and user's clothes is recommended depending on the weather. In addition, this smart closet is designed with real-time weather status checking and easy ventilation function. It was implemented through the Arduino and app inventor program so that the weather can be printed on the LCD screen and the user's suitable clothes can be recommended to the application.

Development of STEAM Instructional Materials using Arduino for Creative Engineering Design Class in High Schools and Its Application (일반계고의 창의공학설계 수업을 위한 아두이노 기반 STEAM 수업자료 개발과 적용)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop the Arduino based STEAM instruction materials for creative engineering design class. PDIE model was used in this study. We developed a STEAM lesson plan and a STEAM lesson worksheet for a total of six sessions through the steps of preparation, development, implementation and evaluation. The validity of the instruction materials was evaluated by the 10 experts using a survey. The instruction materials were applied to the class (52 students attended) of the creative engineering designs unit in technology and home economics subject. The class satisfaction and the creative solving-problem ability were examined after the calss. The class satafacition was high as the average of 10 item was 4.57 (out of 5). The paired t-test was conducted to compare the means of the creative solving-problem ability. It was observed that 'understanding and mastery of knowledge, thought, function and skills in a specific domain', 'divergent thinking', 'critical and logical thinking' and ' motivational factors' were significantly increased after the class. The instruction materials develped in this study were successfully designed to enhance the creative solving-problem ability by designing creative tasks and to intrique the interest by adding visual and auditory stimuli with the Arduino.
