본 연구는 국립수목원 이용객을 대상으로 계절별 서비스 질 만족도를 조사함으로써, IPA를 활용하여 수목원 운영시 고려해야 할 서비스항목을 도출하고 국립수목원 서비스의 질적 수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 실시하였다. 봄, 여름, 가을에 방문하는 수목원 이용객을 대상으로 5개 부문의 24개 서비스 질 항목에 대해 방문 전 중요도와 방문 후 만족도를 7점 리커트(likert)척도를 사용하여 설문조사하였다. 그 결과, 계절별 서비스 질에 대한 중요도와 만족도는 모든 계절에서 평균 5점 이상의 긍정적인 수준을 보였으며, 특히 여름에 서비스 질에 대한 중요도와 만족도가 모두 높게 나타났다. 또한 중요도-만족도분석을 통해, 여름의 가시성 부문 항목들이 중점개선영역에 주로 나타남에 따라, 서비스 부문 간에 중요도-만족도에서 계절별 차이가 있음을 확인하였다.

A study examined visitors' satisfaction to urban arboretum in Daejeon metropolitan city, and analyzed utilization status. Also, the study was based on POE. POE is a last phase in the environmental planning and design process that follows the sequence of planning, programing, design construction, and use of a project. Urban arboretum contribute to improvement in the quality of living by providing urban citizens with places for refreshment, natural have important values on urban environment and to promote the quality of life for urbanite. So, the study aims to present data on the human activities responding to the physical environment of 'the Daejeon Hanbat Arboretum' by evaluating visitor's behavior and activity, visiting motivations, preference patterns, and the degree of visitor's satisfaction. This study is conducted by multi-method such as interviews and questionnaires surveys. On-site questionnaire surveys were conducted in the Hanbat arboretum on October 25-31 of 2009. Total of 265 questionnaires were analyzed for this study. The analysis of data was used SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis program. Data from visitors was analyzed by descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, multiple response analysis, and Anova. Then, the outcome will be compared and evaluated to install urban arboretum that reflect the desires of users in the future.

본 연구는 국립수목원 관람객의 지각된 가치, 만족과 재방문의도간의 인과관계를 검증하고자 수행되었다. 300명의 수목원 관람객을 할당표본추출하였으며, 변수들은 마케팅분야에서 사용하고 있는 대표적 측정척도를 수목원 상황에 맞도록 변형시켜 측정하였다. 변수들 간의 인과관계를 구조방정식모형으로 정산한 결과, 가치는 만족에 영향을 주었으며, 만족은 재방문의도에 영향을 주었다. 구체적으로 '감성적 가치', '돈에 비한 가치', '새로움에 대한 가치'의 순서로 만족에 큰 영향을 주었지만 '사회적 가치'는 영향력이 없었다. 효과적인 수목원 관리를 위해 가치의 구성개념, 만족, 재방문의도 별로 실행 가능한 몇 가지 전략을 제시하였다. 수목원에서는 이런 종류의 연구가 수행된 적이 없어 추후연구에서는 가치 측정척도를 개선하고, 새로운 변수인 자아일치성과 구전의도의 도입가능성을 검토해야 하며 시장세분의 중요성을 강조하였다.

This paper researches, by looking into visitors of the Garden of Morning Calm, Pyunggang Botanical Garden, Jangheung Natural Arboretum and the Garden of Wild Flower, how they use these arboretums and what are the facilities they like most to provide directions in formation and planning of domestic private arboretums. The followings are executive summery of this research. It was researched that most of the them visited arboretums for emotional life (42.93%). They answered that the major reason that they go to arboretums is rest and service functions (42.97%). Such number suggest arboretums that they should provide, along with their original purpose of biological preservation, practical purposes, including rest and service functions. When asked facilities they preferred most, most visitors answered that they are most satisfied with facilities like restaurants and cafeterias. Information desk, management office, forest museum, wild life zoo, green house, exhibition room, rest area, pond and fountains influenced the visitor satisfaction level as well. Regarding to facility references, visitors most preferred information desk, management office, restaurant and cafeteria.

Korean arboretums where a large number of people are visiting could not do visitor's satisfaction in qualitative side and communication through education and event, although a lot of those things statistically have been doing so far. At this side, it needs an arboretum's segmentation: preparing to an adaptation strategy of a new paradigm, differentiated strategy, and problem solving strategy tied by a similar group for the Korean arboretum visitors. This research tries to classify several patterns with Korean arboretums by visitor's behavior and propose each type of subspecialized management plan after analyzing characteristic of supply and demand. The research for this tries to classify several patterns of Korean arboretum and suggest segmentalzed management plan by types after analyzing characteristics of aspects of demand and supply. By looking at the main patterning result of arboretum as a standard of the demand, there were four sorts of arboretums. In the first, it is the arboretum of intermediate type: not a clear characteristic. In the second, it is an arboretum of multipurpose resort type: strongly demanding motivational factors of a rest, health, access, low cost, experience, learning and sightseeing. In the third, it is an arboretum of theme tour type: a strong sightseeing motivational factor and demanding appreciate scenery. In the last, it is an arboretum of studying and admiring type: demanding a motivational factor of sightseeing landscape and plants, a strong experience and learning.

현대인들에게 수목원이 제공하는 환경과 식물에 대한 교육은 단순히 도시 속에서 자연환경을 조성하고 방문객들에게 휴양환경을 제공해 주는 것 이상의 의미가 있다. 본 연구는 대구수목원 방문객들의 이용만족도에 대한 모형을 구축하고 이를 바탕으로 수목원에서 제공해야 할 시설과 프로그램은 무엇인지를 고찰하고, 그에 따른 의견을 제시하기 위해 수행 되었다. 변수의 크기를 관찰하기 위한 다중회귀분석에서 만족도에 영향력을 미치는 변수의 순위는 산책로의 동선흐름, 환경에 대한 교육효과, 시설의 청결성, 입장료나 방문시의 비용, 자연경관, 수목종류의 다양성, 수목원의 접근성, 직원의 친절, 수목원 내의 편의시설의 확충과 보완으로 나타났다. 이용객의 성향은 인근의 거주자가 연간 5회 이상 이용하는 비율이 가장 높았다. 이용객들이 요구하는 대구수목원의 시설과 운영 프로그램에 대한 질문에서 문화행사와 이벤트, 아름다운 경관조성, 휴게 및 편의시설의 확충을 가장 시급한 과제로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 죽은 수목과 나지에 대한 관리도 시급히 이루어져야할 것으로 판단하였다. 이상과 같이 이용객의 만족도와 요구사항을 바탕으로 한 대구수목원의 운영관리전략은 지역민과 함께하는 이벤트와 축제, 옴부즈맨제도 도입, 관내 학생들과 교사들에 대한 환경교육 프로그램 개발, 방치된 나지와 죽은 수목의 교체, 매점 시설의 개선과 보완에 대한 고민이 필요할 것으로 판단하였고 다른 수목원의 프로그램과 타 시설을 예시로 들어 운영전략을 제안 하였다. 이러한 사항은 대구수목원에서 외부의 자원을 투입하지 않고도 충분히 개발할 수 있는 운영관리의 내용이라고 생각된다. 이용객의 만족감은 사소한 것에서부터 시작되며 작은 차이가 큰 만족감을 결정하기 때문에 하드웨어적인 부분보다는 소프트웨어적인 접근이 필요할 것으로 판단하였다.

A study surveyed to visitor's user behavior and importance-satisfaction in the Provicial Wando-arboretum. As the results of the research, Most of the visitors are 40s and 50s and live in Jeonnam Region, Gwang-ju. The purpose of their visit was recreation, leisure or experience of a warm-temperate forest. Also the mean of importance was 3.94 and the mean of satisfaction was 3.51 in the Wando-arboretum. It appeared necessary for items of program development, homepage management and amenities including public toilet. The research results are expected to suggest efficient management measures. And expects with the research result that will be the possibility of raising the qualitative satisfaction of the visitor.

본 연구는 수목원·식물원의 이미지가 수용력 관련 정책 지지도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 전국단위의 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 723부의 유효한 표본을 확보하였다. 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형을 이용한 분석결과, 수목원·식물원의 이미지는 정서적 요인, 인지적 요인, 형태적 요인으로 도출되었으며, 이 중 인지적 요인이 수용력 관련 정책 지지도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 수목원·식물원의 정책입안자들은 지속가능한 이용을 위해 꼭 필요한 수용력 조절정책을 도입하는 데 있어 방문객들의 지지를 이끌어내기 위해 인지적 이미지 요인을 계획 및 관리요인으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 중요도-만족도 분석(Importance-Satisfaction Analysis)을 적용하여 한밭수목원 내 산책로에 대한 이용객의 기대정도와 만족정도를 조사하였다. 분석결과 서원은 평균점으로 볼 때 중요도가 3.85, 만족도가 3.67로 나타났으며 동원은 중요도가 3.99, 만족도가 3.78로 나타났다. 전반적으로 이용하기 전보다 이용 후 만족도가 낮은 것으로 평가되었다. 평가항목들의 대부분이 중요도가 만족도보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 서원은 산책로의 안전시설, 산책로의 배수시설, 위험지 등에 대한 안내판 항목에서 집중적인 관리가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 동원은 산책로를 이용하여 휠체어나 유모차 등 이동의 용이성과 산책로의 안전시설 항목에서 집중적인 관리가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과가 앞으로 효율적인 관리 및 운영방안을 제시하고 이용객의 질적 만족도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
