A comparison of temperature distributions along the fin length coordinate between two different fin tip boundary conditions for a circular pin fin is made by using the one-dimensional analytic method. One tip boundary condition is the actual fin tip boundary condition and fin tip temperature is arbitrarily given for another fin tip boundary condition. The value of the fin base temperature is depend on the fin base thickness and fin radius. One of the results shows that the temperature distribution along the fin length coordinate for the actual fin tip boundary condition and that for the arbitrarily given fin tip temperature are the same if the arbitrarily given fin tip temperature and the fin tip temperature for the actual fin tip boundary condition are the same.
There are many studies on arbitrarily divisible load scheduling problem in a distributed computing network consisting of processors interconnected through communication links. It is not efficient to arbitrarily distribute the load that comes into the system. In this paper, how to schedule in case that arbitrarily indivisible load comes into the system is studied. Also, the cases of the divisible load mixed with the indivisible load that come into network were dealt with optimal load distribution in parallel processing system by scheduling applied to linear programming.

Free vibration analysis using the method of NDIF (non-dimensional dynamic influence function), which was developed by the author, is extended to arbitrarily shaped polygonal plates with free edges. Local Cartesian coordinate systems are employed to apply the free boundary condition to nodes distributed along the edges of the plate of interest. Furthermore, a new way for applying the free boundary condition to nodes located at corners of the plate is for the first time introduced by considering the phenomenon of stress concentration at the corners. Two case studies show that the proposed method is valid and accurate when the eigenvalues by the proposed method are compared to those by FEM(ANSYS).
We made the logic that can transmit the service data and clock of interest by using the optical signal and demodulate the original signal at the receiving end. Because We can interface the all communications equipment to which We intended to send the signal. We can modulate the dock and clocked data using optical signal and then transmit the original optical signal to the receiving end, finally, arbitrarily control the traffic between ports.

The practical computer program COL3 was developed through this study to design of arbitrarily shaped reinforced concrete slender columns subjected to combined compression and biaxial bending. The program COL3 has been developed for user-friendly environment using spreadsheets. Several examples including for analysis of geometrically complex column sections subjected biaxial bending are introduced in this paper.

In this paper the stress intensity factor under uniform pressure in the arbitrarily-shaped plane crack configuration transformed elliptic crack by Mobius mapping are determined. Using Dysons formula Boussinesq-Papkovich potentials for mode I deformation are constructed. In the example the stress intensity factors are approximately calculated by least square method.
A new transform coder for arbitrarily shaped image segments is proposed. In the encoder, a block-based DCT is applied to the resulting image block after shifting pixels within the image segment to block border and padding the mean value of the pixels to empty region. For reducing the transmission bit rate, the transform coefficients located in padded region are truncated and only the remaining transform coefficients are transmitted to the decoder. In the decoder, the transform coefficients truncated in the encoder are recovered using received transform coefficients and a block-based inverse DCT is performed.

The problem of electromagnetic scattering from arbitrarily shaped lossy dielectric bodies of revolution is studied. Two coupled vector integral equations are formulated from the potential formulas, the equivalence principle and boundary condition. The unknown surface currents (both electric and magnetic) can be found by the moment method, Galerkins's procedure. After the surface currents are determined, the scattering pattern can be evaluated.

Ryu et al. proposed a multiple target DOA tracking algorithm using a linear sensor array. In Ryu's algorithm first, the signal subspace is estimated using sensor output and the angular innovations of targets are extracted from the estimated signal subspace. Next, the DOA's of targets are tracked using the angular innovations as the inputs of Kalman filters. Ryu's algorithm has good features that it has no data association problem and is efficient. However, Ryu's algorithm can't be a lied to an arbitrarily shaped array because it was proposed using linear sensor array. Actually, when the sensor array is used in the various application fields, sensors have a position error. Therefore, the sensor array can be an arbitrarily shaped array. In this paper, we propose a multiple target DOA tracking algorithm applicable to an arbitrarily shaped array, and it sustains the good features of Ryu's algorithm.
