This study was investigated to compare the physicochemical properties between hot air dried ramie leaf (HR) and freeze dried ramie leaf (FR). There were no significant differences in moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash, and carbohydrate content depending on the drying methods, but the dietary fiber content was significantly higher in FR than in HR. The major amino acids were aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and leucine, and the contents of total amino acids, total essential amino acids, and essential amino acid ratios were higher in FR compared with HR. Major fatty acids were linoleic acid, palmitic acid, arachidic acid, and linolenic acid. Hot air drying caused a decrease in unsaturated fatty acids and an increase in saturated acids; however, there was no significance difference between the two different drying methods. The contents of vitamin A, E, and C in FR were higher than those in HR, and there were significant differences in the contents of vitamin A and C depending on the drying methods. Regardless of the drying methods, both HR and FR were abundant in order of Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Fe, Na, and Zn. The contents of total minerals, total organic acids and total free sugars in HR were significantly higher than those in the FR.
The lipid components, fatty acid compositions, physical and chemical characteristics of crude oil in Amorpha fruticosa seed were determined and proximate compositions of it were also analyzed. The purpose of this study was to identify mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) cultivars with appropriate characteristics for labor saving culture (whole crop feeding and combine harvesting), and to investigate seed quality in the southern South Korea. Cultivar Dahyeon exhibited strong lodging resistance, excellent disease tolerance, and greater pod numbers per plant resulting in higher yield. Cultivar Owool and Keumseong, the two most common mungbean cultivars in Korea, exhibited lower yield than Dahyeon due to weaker disease tolerance or lower pod numbers per plant. Cultivar Samgang demonstrated higher seed starch content, Jangan, Nampyeong, and Keumseong exhibited higher crude protein content, and Sohyeon exhibited higher vitexin and isovitexin contents. However, no statistical differences were found among the cultivars in crude fat content. Unsaturated fatty acid ranged from 51.8 to 57.2%, with saturated fatty acid ranging from 36.2 to 40.3%. We detected five unsaturated fatty acids including linoleic acid (36.1 to 38.6%), linolenic acid (10.3 to 14.7%), and oleic acid (2.7 to 4.6%), and seven saturated fatty acids including palmitic acid (28.7 to 30.9%), stearic acid (2.9 to 4.1%), and arachidic acid (1.5 to 3.7%). There were significant differences between the cultivars in amylogram properties of seeds: the Nampyeong cultivar exhibited a lower gelatinization temperature; Dahyeon was higher in peak viscosity and breakdown; and Sohyeon, Nampyeong, and Dahyeon were lower in setback.
TMR feed developed by adding mugwort originating from Jeju Island, was fed to Hanwoo to investigate the effects of feeding mugwort on nutritional composition, as well as the feasibility of producing Hanwoo beef with high quality and functionality. The samples for the experiment consisted of Hanwoo fed fattening cattle TMR feed without mugwort (control), and Hanwoo fed fattening cattle TMR feed with added mugwort (treatment). Feeding mugwort did not lead to a significant difference in the moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude ash, calorie, cholesterol, and collagen contents. There was no significant difference between the control and treatment groups in mineral components. The control and treatment groups had total mineral amounts of 3,559.20 and 3,998.01 ppm, respectively. The total amount of structural amino acids did not show any significant difference between the control (14.56%) and treatment groups (13.90%). The total amount of free amino acids did not show any significant difference between the control (763.044 ppm) and treatment groups (720.885 ppm). The composition of saturated fatty acids was 42.956% for the control and 40.918% for the treatment group. Further, the composition of unsaturated fatty acids was 57.044% for the control and 59.082% for the treatment group. Myristic acid, myristoleic acid, pentadecenoic acid, palmitic acid, and ${\gamma}$-linolenic acid were increased by feeding mugwort. Arachidic acid was contained the most among the fatty acid of Hanwoo fed feed without mugwort (p<0.05).
The study on phytochemical analysis and the biological activity of Kalopanacis Cortex was carried out in this research. As a phytochemical result, liriodendrin as a lignan glycoside was isolated and characterized. Two subfraction separated from the acidic substance of $CHCl_3$ fraction were saturated and unsaturated fatty acid, respectively. Saturated fatty acid mixture identified from GC-MS tool was as follows: palmitic acid, stearic acid, arachidic acid, heneicosanoic acid, docosanoic acid, tricosanoic acid, tetracosanoic acid, pentacosanoic acid, hexacosanoic acid and octacosanoic acid. Unsaturated fatty acid was found to be linoleic acid on the basis of spectroscopic method. An active principle of liriodendrin exhibited significant antihepatotoxic activity but failed to show a considerable antiedemic activity. In this paper, the result of writhing test on liriodendrin was also described.

The saturated fatty acids(arachidic acid, stearic acid, and palmitic acid) were repeatedly applied on water surface, and their ${\pi}-A$ isotherms and Maxwell displacement current(MDC) were measured to identify the effect of the number of carbons of fatty acids on the properties of Langmuir films. The saturated fatty which contain higher carbon number showed higher MDC peak, and the less carbon it contains, the higher surface pressure they show. It was found the maximum of MDC peaks was as the molecular area just before the surface pressure increases in compression cycles of saturated fatty acids.
The physicochemical properties of the fatty acid monomolecular Arachidic Acid, Stearic Acid films surface structure has been studied by AFM. We give pressure stimulation into organic thin films and then manufacture a device under the accumulation condition that the state surface pressure is gas state, liquid state, solid state. Formation that prevent when gas phase state and liquid phase state measure but could know organic matter that molecules form equal and stable film when molecules were not distributed evenly, and accumulated in solid state only.

Total lipids extracted from the powdered seeds of Carum roxburghianum were fractionated into hydrocarbons (0.30%), wax esters (0.30%), sterol esters (1.35%), triacylglycerols (72.41%), free fatty acids (6.06%), 1,3-diacylglycerols (4.60%), 1,2- diacylglycerols (0.64%), glycolipids (5.10%), sterols (1.20%), 2-monoacylgylcerols (3.18%), 1-monoacylglycerols (1.46%), phosphatidylethanolamines (1.08%) phosphatidylcholines (0.40%), lysophosphatidylethanolamines (1.48%) and phosphatidylinositols (0.44%) with the help of TLC. The fatty acid composition of all the lipid fractions was determined after converting them into their methyl esters with $BF_3-methanol$ reagent and then analyzing them by GC. Oleic acid was found as a major component in all the lipid classes, whereas palmitic, linoleic and linolenic acids were present in lesser quantities. Arachidic acid was identified as a minor component in only seven out of twelve lipid classes.
In order to determine the optimum sowing date of peanut in the middle part of Korea, peanut's 100-grain-weight and physico-chemical compositions for peanut cultivars such as runner (Yeoju landrace), semi-spanish (Suweon No. 15) and spanish types (Wasedairu) to different seeding date which planted at interval of ten days from May 5 to July 4, in 1981, was carried out. The 100-grain-weight and crude fat of peanut were increased from May 5 to May 25, but after that decreased. And the 100-grain-weight of peanut was great in order of Wasedairu, Suweon No. 15 and Yeoju landrace. The highest amount of crude fat was seen in peanuts which was sown at May 25 and May 15. Unsaturated fatty acids are composed of $80{\sim}85%$ of oleic and linoleic acid, but saturated fatty acids are constituted of $10{\sim}15%$ of palmitic acid and $1{\sim}5%$ of stearic and arachidic acid. Composition ratio of fatty acid in peanut was changed greatly according to sowing date. According to the late sowing date linoleic and palmitic acid were increased but oleic acid was decreased, respectively.

It is well known that the state of existence of molecules on the surface of water changes during compression of the molecules. Electric methods, such as the measurement of the surface potential or displacement current, are also useful for investigating dynamic changes of the molecular state on the water surface during compression. Maxwell-Displacement-Current(MDC) measuring technique has been applied to the study of monolayers of Arachidic acid and L-$\alpha$-Dimyristoyl Phosphatidylcholine(L-$\alpha$-DMPC). The displacement current was generated from monolayers on a water surface by monolayer compression. Displacement current was generated in the gas state, gas/liquid state, and liquid state in the course of monolayer compression. The researchers examined diplacement current of electric conduction organic monolayer generated due to orient change of monolayers alkylchain.
