머신러닝 기반의 최적 양식장 조건 검색에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Search of Optimal Aquaculture farm condition based on Machine Learning)

  • 세계 수산시장은 초과 수요적 현상으로 이러한 경향은 지속적으로 가속화 될 것으로 전망하고 있다. 수산물 수요가 증가되는 양식업은 어업과 비교해 볼 때 비교적 적은 자원의 투입으로도 생산량의 조절 및 표준화 등이 가능하여 높은 성과를 얻을 수 있는 산업이다. 그러나 전통적인 양식은 자연재해, 생태계 오염 등 저생산성의 문제점을 안고 있어 최적의 양식장소로 이동할 수 있는 새로운 양식시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 최적의 장소를 찾기 위해서는 온도, 산소 용존량 등 필요한 데이터를 실시간으로 수집하고 분석해야 한다. 데이터 분석은 머신러닝 기반의 K-means 클러스터링 기법을 적용하여 반복된 자기학습으로 언제, 어디로 양식장을 이동할지 스스로 판단할 수 있도록 하였다. 제시한 연구결과가 어류 양식업 종사자에게 적용된다면 최적의 양식장소를 스스로 찾아감으로써 자연재해, 생태계 오염 등 저생산성의 문제점을 해결 할 수 있을 것이다.

A study of an oyster monthly forecasting model using the structural equation model approach based on a panel analysis

  • The purpose of this study is to build an oyster outlook model. In particular, by limiting oyster items, it was designed as a partial equilibrium model based on a panel analysis of a fixed effect model on aquaculture facilities. The model was built with a dynamic ecological equation (DEEM) system that considers aquaculture and harvesting processes. As a result of the estimation of the initial aquaculture facilities based on the panel analysis, the elasticity of the remaining facility volume in the previous month was estimated to be 0.63. According to Nerlove's model, the adjustment coefficient was interpreted as 0.31 and the adjustment speed was analyzed to be very slow. Also, the relative income coefficient was estimated to be 2.41. In terms of elasticity, it was estimated as 0.08% in Gyeongnam, 0.32% in Jeonnam, and 1.98% in other regions. It was analyzed that the elasticity of relative income was accordingly higher in non-main production area. In case of the estimation of the monthly harvest facility volume, the elasticity of the remaining facility volume in the previous month was estimated as 0.53, and the elasticity of the farm-gate price was estimated as 0.23. Both fresh and chilled and frozen oysters' exports were estimated to be sensitive to fluctuations in domestic prices and exchange rates, while Japanese wholesale prices were estimated to be relatively low in sensitivity, especially to the exchange rate with Japan. In estimating the farm-gate price, the price elasticity coefficient of monthly production was estimated to be inelastic at 0.25.

국내산 양식 흰다리새우 유래의 비브리오균에 대한 소독제의 방제 효과 검증 (Assessment of the Effect of a Disinfectant to Control Vibrio Strain from White Leg Shrimps Cultured in Korea)

  • 2023년 7월, 국내의 흰다리 새우 양식장에서 양식 중이던 흰다리 새우가 이상유영을 보이며 식욕부진에 시달리며 지속적으로 폐사하였다. 초기에는 일일 평균 폐사율이 0.1%였으나, 3주 후에는 5%까지 증가하였다. 질병 진단 과정 중, 폐사 새우의 간췌장에서 세균(KNUAFVa-SHP08147)이 분리되었다. 본 세균의 16S rRNA 유전자의 시퀀스 분석결과, 분리주 KNUAFVa-SHP08147은 Vibrio alginolyticus로 동정이 되었다. 본 연구에서는, 분리주를 대상으로 비브리오 방제 효과가 있다고 알려져 있는 소독제의 효능을 검증해보았다. 소독제 VirkonTMS의 효능 검증을 위하여, VirkonTMS를 처리한 후 KNUAFVa-SHP08147의 성장 곡선을 조사하였다. 실험 결과, VirkonTMS가 KNUAFVa-SHP08147의 성장에 미치는 영향이 무의미한 것으로 드러나, 소독제 VirkonTMS의 Vibrio 방제 효과는 없는 것으로 드러났다.

국내산 저염분 양식 흰다리새우 유래의 슈와넬라의 병원성 세균으로의 특성 (Shewanellasp., A Potential Pathogen of White Leg Shrimp Cultured in Low Salinity Water in Korea)

  • 2022년 7월, 국내의 저염분 해수 흰다리새우 양식장에서 양식 중이던 흰다리새우가 이상유영과 식욕부진을 보이며 지속적으로 폐사하였다. 일일 평균 폐사율이 0.1%로 완만한 폐사를 보였으나, 2달 넘게 폐사가 지속되었고 성장 지체로 인한 경제적인 피해가 가중되었다. 질병 진단 과정 중, 폐사 새우의 간췌장에서 세균(KNUAF-SHP3)이 분리되었다. 본 세균의 16S rRNA 유전자의 시퀀스 분석 결과, 분리주 KNUAF-SHP3은 Shewanella에 속하는 균으로 동정이 되었고, S. algae MARS 14, S. chilikensis JC5T와 근연 관계를 보이며 같은 그룹으로 분류되었다. 실험 동물을 활용한 인위 감염 실험에서는 상대적으로 고농도(2.1×108CFU/ml와 2.1×109CFU/ml)를 적용한 군에서는 모든 새우들이 감염 증상을 보이며 감염 후 7일 내에 100% 폐사율을 나타내었다. 본 연구는 Shewanella 세균이 저염분 해수 양식 흰다리새우에서의 잠재적인 기회 감염균이 될 수 있음을 기술하고 있다.

SinGAN 딥러닝 모델을 이용한 넙치 질병 이미지 증강 (Image Augmentation of Paralichthys Olivaceus Disease Using SinGAN Deep Learning Model)

  • 수산 양식장에서 어류 질병을 초기에 발견하지 못하는 경우 밀폐된 공간 안에서 확산하기 때문에 집단 폐사로 이어질 확률이 매우 높다. 이런 이유로 질병의 조기 발견은 양식업에서 매우 중요하다. 양식장에서 질병의 확산을 막기 위해서는 초기에 병이 든 어류를 자동식별이 가능한 방법이 필요하다. 최근 딥러닝 기반의 어류 질병 자동식별 방법이 많이 사용되고 있는데, 어류의 질병 이미지가 충분하지 않아 객체 식별에 많은 어려움이 있다. 본 논문은 질병 자동식별 예측을 위한 질병 이미지의 부족 문제를 해결하기 위해서 SinGAN 딥러닝 모델을 이용하여 정상 이미지와 질병 이미지를 합성해 다양한 어류 질병 이미지를 자동 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 넙치에서 가장 빈번히 발생하는 3가지 질병 스쿠티카병, 비브리오증, 림포시스티스에 대해서 SinGAN 기반으로 질병 이미지를 증강한다. 본 연구에서는 넙치 정상 이미지 11장에 각 질병 패턴 10가지를 합성하여서 스쿠티카병 110장, 비브리오증 110장, 림포시스티스 110장으로 총 330장을 만들었고 이를 통해 생성된 이미지는 4배수 하여 1,320장의 이미지를 생성할 수 있었다.

Economic and non-economic loss and damage to climate change: evidence from a developing country shrimp farms to cyclone Bulbul

  • Loss and damage have become a vital contemporary issue in climate change studies and actions in developing countries. However, studies are scant on this in the fisheries sector around the world. In Bangladesh, there is no study on the loss and damage in fisheries dependent communities. This study assesses economic and non-economic loss and damage to coastal shrimp farms due to cyclone Bulbul in Gabura Union of Shyamnagar Upazila, Satkhira district, using a mixed method approach. Results show that all shrimp farms' dependent communities are affected by cyclone Bulbul to some extent. About 14%, 57%, and 29% of the farms were totally, heavily and moderately damaged due to farm inundation and dyke damage. The estimated mean loss and damage per shrimp farm was worth USD 4,633. Around 31% and 72% of the farms' fencing nets and traps were lost, which was worth USD 333 per farm. There were also loss and damage to other resources such as houses, solar panels, livestock and agricultural crops where the estimated mean loss and damage per household was worth USD 3,170. This study reported that the rich shrimp farmers encountered proportionately more economic loss and damage than their poor counterparts. However, this does not mean that the poor suffered less. The current study found a range of non-economic loss and damage in different aspects of the shrimp farmers' household members such as unbearable mental pain, deterioration of health, physical injuries, disabilities, etc. and access to services (e.g., inadequate food, lack of safe drinking water, lack of medical facilities, disruption of education systems), social infrastructure (e.g., damage of roads and markets) and disturbance of cultural functions. The findings suggest that urgent short- and long-term actions may be taken to save the aquaculture farms and dependent livelihoods from economic and non-economic loss and damage to cyclones in future.

양식 넙치에서 연쇄구균 혼합백신 접종 후 항체가 변화 조사 (Development of antibodies after combination Streptococcus iniae and Streptococcus parauberis of commercial vaccine injection in olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) in farm)

  • Streptococcosis, caused by Streptococcus iniae and Streptococcus parauberis is an important bacterial disease that affects in olive flounder in Korea. In Korea, multivalent bacterial vaccines are used to prevent streptococcal diseases in aquaculture. In this study, commercial vaccines containing formalin-inactivated bacterial cells of S. iniae and S. parauberis were administered at six fish farms and one unvaccinated fish farm were designated for investigation (Wando; 4 sites and Jeju; 3 sites). Blood was collected from vaccinated and unvaccinated olive flounders, and titers of antibodies against S. iniae and S. parauberis in serum were analyzed using ELISA. After a one shot vaccination in the farms at Jeju (farm A) and Wando (farm D), the proportion of individuals with specific antibodies against S. parauberis OD values of 0.4 or higher was 60% and 53.5%, respectively. But after booster vaccination, the proportion of individuals with serum OD values of 0.4 or higher was higher substantially increased to 96.6% (farm A) and 100% (farm D). The levels of S. parauberis specific antibodies of olive flounder were increased after vaccination in three fish farms (farm D, E, and F), but not S. iniae specific antibodies.

넙치 양식장의 질병관리등급 평가기준 개선 및 적용 (Improvement and Application of Assessment Criteria on Disease Control Level in Olive Flounder Aquaculture Farms)

  • Korean government has issued the ratings standard for disease control of aquaculture farms according to the Aquatic Life Disease Control Act in 2008. There are five rating criteria within the enforcement regulations; period of disease free, performance of disinfection, environmental and hygienic management, keeping record of trade and sales, completion of education for disease control. There are no application has been applied on the basis of the rating criteria so far because detailed subcriteria and scoring indicators has not established for assessment process. In order to apply the ratings standard for disease control, we set up the subcriteria and new scoring for rating disease control level based on legal criteria in this study. This study was conducted on 90 targeted olive flounder farms in Jeju. The result of disease control level assessment on olive flounder aquaculture farms show the overall average of Jeju-do was 72.9 points and differed depending on the district; 74.7 in Jeju-si and 71.1 in Seogwipo-si, respectively. The Spearman correlation of each evaluation index show the disease control level score was correlated highly with the performance of disinfection(R=0.715, p<0.01), and environmental and hygienic management(R=0.661, p<0.01). The result of correlation analysis show that there is the highest correlation between the aquaculture farm status and the total mortality(R= -0.618, p<0.01). The reliability of the results are considered to be accurate in the Cronbach's alpha value of 0.727.

제주도 넙치 양식현장에서 배합사료 성장 평가 (Evaluation of extruded pellet for growth performance of olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus in Jeju farm field)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate extruded pellet (EP) diet compared with a raw fish moist pellet (MP) diet for flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus on field feeding experiments in Jeju area. The experimental EP diet (juvenile, growing and adult) was prepared based on the former studies on nutrient requirements and feed ingredient of flounder. Fish were distributed randomly to each aquarium as a group of 102,300 fish (initial mean weight 97 g) in field experiment I and reared randomly to each aquarium as a group of 40,000 fish (initial mean weight 120 g) in field experiment II. In field feeding experiment I conducted in commercial flounder farm, survival, wt. gain (94-1,090 g), feed efficiency and condition factor of fish fed experimental EP were comparable to those of fish fed MP, but considerably higher protein efficiency ratio were observed in fish fed experimental EP. In field feeding experiment II, no significant difference was observed in final mean weight of fish fed the experimental EP (1,234 g) and MP (1,286 g), and any noticeable problem caused by feeding the experimental EP was not found during the whole period of feeding trial. Survival of fish fed the experimental EP was lower than that of MP, and there was no significant difference in feed efficiency between the fish fed experimental EP and MP. Therefore, these results strongly suggest that diet EP could be developed to replace MP diet for the marketable size (1.3 kg) of production for flounder without adverse effects on growth performance. In particular, abdominal dropsy and reduction of condition factor, which are frequently occurred in commercial EP feeding farms, were not observed in flounder fed experimental EP.

Effects of three different dietary plant protein sources as fishmeal replacers in juvenile whiteleg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei

  • Background: As the cost of fishmeal continues to rise, there will be a need to optimize the diet by minimizing dietary fishmeal inclusion in aquafeed. In this study, a 7-week experiment was conducted to evaluate soybean meal, fermented soybean meal (soytide), and sesame meal as fishmeal replacers in whiteleg shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei. Methods: A 30%-based fishmeal diet was considered as control (CON), six other diets were prepared by replacing 20% or 40% of fishmeal with soybean meal (SB20 and SB40), fermented soybean meal (ST20 and ST40), or sesame meal (SM20 and SM40) from the CON diet. Twenty shrimp with average initial weight of 0.65 ± 0.05 g (mean ± SD) were randomly distributed into 21 tanks (45 L) and fed four times a day. Water temperature was controlled at 28 ± 1 ℃ and aeration was provided by air stones. Results: Weight gain, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, and protein efficiency ratio of shrimp fed CON showed no significant differences compared to shrimp fed all the other diets. However, growth performance of shrimp fed ST20 diet was significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the SM20 and SM40 diets (P < 0.05). Superoxide dismutase activity (SOD) of shrimp fed CON, ST20, and ST40 diets was significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the SB40 and SM40 diets. But there were no significant differences among shrimp fed CON, SB20, ST20, ST40, and SM20 diets. Also, lysozyme activity of shrimp fed ST20 diet was significantly higher than those of shrimp fed the SB40 and SM40 diets. Although, lysozyme activity of shrimp fed the CON diet was not significantly different compared to shrimp fed all the other experimental diets. Conclusions: Therefore, SB, ST, and SM could replace 40% of fishmeal based on growth performance and lysozyme. According to the SOD activity, SB and SM could replace 20% of fishmeal and ST could replace 40% of fishmeal in juvenile whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei.
