This study explores gender images represented in the works of women artists from the Middle East, where male chauvinism is recognized to be more predominant than elsewhere. The artists included in this study such as Mona Hatoum, Shirin Neshat, Lida Abdul and Sigalit Landau are Post-Feminist generation of artists who were born in the Middle East but spent significant amount of time in the West. In addition, they were trained as artists under the influences of the Western Feminist Art. This particular group of female artists pays much attention to the ontological question of their identities rather than male/female inequality, and each artist represents men and women in the ways that can hardly be found in the works by women artists in the West. These artists not only connect gender identities to the socio-political geography of the Middle East but also deconstruct Western stereotypes of men and women from Arab world. The paper focuses on the way these women artists incorporate male/female vs. culture/nature dichotomies into their works to subvert the premises on which Western Feminism has been based and not only to cast light on women's freedom and their ontological conflicts but also to emphasize social suppression inflicted upon men. In such process, these artists resist stereotypical images of Middle Eastern men and women widely circulated in the mainstream media of the West.

This paper presents the studies on prediction models of tropospheric scintillation. The prediction scintillation models are Karasawa and ITU-R , which can be improved for different locations and circumstances. In this paper, the investigation of average time between variance ${\sigma}_n\;^2$ and the wet part of refractivity $N_{wet}$ under various conditions of meteorological parameters have been carried out at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Lankrabang , Bangkok , Thailand , in the range of Ku-band (12.260 GHz) on high elevation angle from Thaicom2 satellite. From the studies results shows that average period of time of 30 days are best suitable for find out the relation between average time variance ${\sigma}_n\;^2$ and the wet part of refractivity $N_{wet}$ according to Karasawa model, the average time variance is express as ${\sigma}_n\;^2=(0.003N_{wet}-0.1313)^2$ , the appropriation model for occurrence of scintillation has been analyzed and experimental results are carried out.

The purpose of this study is assess the perspectives of residents in apartment complexes regarding the 'Projects to Promote Community Activities' publicly implemented by the Seoul Metropolitan City since 2011 to derive necessary suggestions thereof. For this purpose, community leaders in the 7 apartment complexes selected as leading communities of 2015 were interviewed to determine the application process for participation in such projects and the issues associated with the operation of respective community activities. In addition, 159 residents living in these apartment complexes were surveyed to assess the respective community activities along with changes in the sense of community and community consciousness. The subjects selected for the survey conducted through prepared questionnaires rendered positive assessment(3.82~4.09) on the effects of participation in community activities and in such programs with a higher level of the sense of community. The leaders of community activities also provided positive assessments regarding the projects financially supported by the local government that consequently promoted community activities to the extent they desired. However, the community leaders experienced and appealed difficulties in preparing financial reports according to administrative requirements together with the timing of financial appropriation. They also reported difficulties in preparing a sufficient pool of instructors to cultivate the capabilities of professional community planners.

The number of SMEs taking up information systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning has been growing rapidly, and many of those organizations have stepped into the stage of ongoing use at this point. Thus, research which takes into account idiosyncratic nature of SME environment is more important than before. Through an empirical study using survey method, we tried to examine the importance of end user's feedback seeking behavior in SMEs and how environmental factors affecting such behavior reinforce and interact with the feedback seeking behavior itself. The result shows that end user's active role as a voluntary feedback seeker is important in utilizing information systems in accordance with the initial design intention in ongoing use environment. Furthermore, in order to facilitate such feedback seeking behavior in SME environment, it is essential that management's involvement and communicating to its employees the importance of effectively utilizing the information systems as well as the support of peer IT champ.

In recent years, the change of urban function and the decrease in birth rate have given rise to merge, abolition and relocation of the existing schools. This study explores the possibilities for various land utilizations of disused school sites, using the trial case of 'M' elementary school at Bu-pyung Gu in Incheon Metropolitan City. 'M' elementary school has recently happened to need no more land to build another school because of decreasing the number of students. Firstly, it studies the land reuse theories in city, the development methodologies of disused sites and the legalistic and political authority and limits. It analyzes the urban spacial values and roles, such as the educational roles, spacial functions and development values of the land. In addition, this study make a questionnaire of local residents to converge the public opinions on the utilization of disused school site. Finally, it proposes the principal direction for the effective appropriation and an alternative for exploitation of school site targeting disused school site of 'M' elementary school.

The Ministry of Construction & Transportation revised the full text of 'The Act for Promoting Housing Construction' that concentrated to the quantitative supply of houses into 'Housing Act' in order to improve the quantity as well as quality of housing construction and management, such as housing welfare, management or improvement of previous houses, in October 2002. Accordingly, local authority need to play more critical roles in the area of multi-family housing management and remodeling. The desirable roles of local authority called for the need are like followings: 1. Local authority should provide professional knowledge for education, direction and consultation of multi-family housing management rather keeping the previous role to control, manage and regulate it. 2. The multi-family housing management should be changed from administration and punishment to incentive-centered institutions. 3. It is necessary to consider neglected people, such as occupants of rental apartment or of a small-sized multi-family housing, who have been excepted from the subject of obligatory management under the current law. 4. For harmonious and professional housing management, local authority need to support the establishment or special companies for housing management and to strengthen the audit on trust management companies. 5. It calls for the studies on management guideline of multi-family housing, standardization of management specifics, reasonable standard for special mending appropriation amount, etc. 6. They should lead the composition of a community by residents harmoniously and support the encouragement of community consciousness to live together.

The government established Special Accounts for Balanced National Development in 2005, and the Metropolitan Council has enacted and executed ordinance relevant to special accounts to relieve regional unbalanced growth and to promote regional balanced growth. This study derived a political implication through the comparison analysis of the background of establishment and its purpose, the selection criteria of support target, finance scale and tax revenue finance, appropriation target and finance distribution, etc. on the basis of Chungcheongnam-do Special Accounts for Balanced Development and Jeollabuk-do Eastern part Special Accounts among the special accounts implemented in metropolitan council. The major conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the transition from the concept of balanced development to specialized development is necessary for the development of distressed region. Second, the pure wastefulness ratio of the local government's tax revenue finance of special accounts designed concentrating upon special accounts for Wide-area Autonomous Communities development should be gradually expanded. Third, Special Accounting budget should be supported to promote specialized development through the selection and concentration centering around comparatively advantageous resource within the region. Fourth, the strategic special accounts budget application system of cities and counties to utilize the projects of the government and the province to achieve the goal of cities and counties should be prepared.

This study examined the expression characteristics in pop art works of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. The study here aimed at possibility to find a design development in building up the unique art world of creativity based on popularity, artistry, and originality without confinement to the trend only. For the research method, review of literature and analysis about Castelbajac's works reflecting the pop art feature in the collections from 2000S/S to 2012F/W were performed. The results of research are as follows. The external expression form of Castelbajac's works based on pop art was grouped roughly into use of mass culture image, appropriation of pop art expression technique, and parody of art works. First, his work appeared as application of the mass culture image such as symbolic thing in the modern consumer society, object in an ordinary life, character of well-known animation, national flag and famous star. Second, such appropriated pop art techniques showed as pop color in strong primary color and silk screen, photomontage, collage, assemblage, graffiti, and lettering. Third, a variety of images featured earlier in art works were shown in parody. These works are valuable in that they are expressed aesthetically through regeneration of popular culture's various images in view of fashion, they are described in the non-traditional value with frolic resistance and deviation out of existing fashion norm, and they are given the dynamic creativity integrated with art and fashion.

The proportional pressure control valve(PCV) is an essential component in the open loop controlled rear wheel steering gear of the four wheel steering(4WS) system on the passenger car. The valve should have versatile functions and higher performance. But, it is hard to find the proportional pressure control valve suitable for the 4WS system. In this paper, the determination of the valve parameters was studied by the stability discrimination and the characteristic analysis for the purpose of the development of a new PCV for the 4WS. The mathematical model of the valve was derived from the valve-cylinder system and the programme for numerical computation was developed. The transfer function of the system was obtained from the mathematical model. The characteristics of the valve were inspected through the experiment and compared to those obtained by numerical method. And then the stability discrimination of the system was done by root locus and the analysis of characteristics was done by the developed programme. From the experiment and the analysis of characteristics was done by the developed programme. From the experiment and the inspection, the appropriation of mathematical model and the usefulness of the programme were confirmed. And the parameters which might affect the performance of the valve can be determined by considering the stability discrimination, the characteristics analysis and required functions.

'Smart Clothes', which incorporate topnotch digital technology into fashion, are a leading fashion runner in this digital era. The purpose of the study is to first help develop a practical design for outdoor backpacks which are equipped with eco-friendly solar cells that facilitate recharging diverse smart devices during outdoor activities; and, secondly, to offer some practical data from the actual appropriation tests that will be used for manufacturing such products. This trial study finds out how to conjoin some practical IT devices with fashion items and mainly focusses on designing outdoor backpacks which are loaded with solar cells for recharging electric devices, and, later, experiments on designed backpacks with some smart phones to see how it works. According to the desired purposes of backpacks, all the features can be adjusted and modified such as the kinds of solar cell panels, materials, sizes, positions of attachment, weights, etc. Smart Clothes are highly functional and fashionable items that satisfy both practical and emotional purposes, and are being actively developed to serve consumers. This study proves that Smart Clothes or Smart Wear will have practical uses for outdoor activities and will possibly lead our smart lifestyles.
