Objective:The purpose of this study is to identify motion patterns for cellular phone and propose a method to identify motion patterns using a motion capture system. Background: In a smart device, the introduction of tangible interaction that can provide new experience to user plays an important role for improving user's emotional satisfaction. Firstly, user's motion patterns have to be identified to provide an interaction type using user's gesture or motion. Method: In this study, a method to identify motion patterns using a motion capture system and user's motion patterns for using cellular phone was studied. Twenty-two subjects participated in this study. User's motion patterns were identified through motion analysis. Results: Typical motion patterns for shaking, shaking left and right, shaking up and down, and turning for using cellular phone were identified. Velocity and acceleration for each typical motion pattern were identified, too. Conclusion: A motion capture system could be effectively used to identify user's motion patterns for using cellular phone. Application: Typical motion patterns can be used to develop a tangible user interface for handheld device such as smart phone and a method to identify motion patterns using motion analysis can be applied in motion patterns identification of smart device.

Throughout the rich human history, patterns have developed as a symbolic sign and representation of the inner psychology of human beings. Thanks to its intrinsic beauty and emotional richness, the flower has been utilized as a one of the major materials for patterns used in everyday life and art. As a product of nature, floral patterns have played a key role in fashion trends as a Surface Design with other elements of fashion design such as silhouette, fabric and color. Therefore, this research sought to identify the trends of floral patterns of women's garments that appeared at the four major global fashion collections (Paris, Milano, New York and London), and to analyze how importantly the fashion magazines' prediction were applied in the actual collections. Furthermore, the research aimed to suggest possible methods to utilize trend magazines for collections in the future. As a main research method, the authors investigated professional fashion literature and internet websites to extract a total of 4,681 items presented by sixteen designers who participated in the four major global fashion collections each time during the period of the 2012 S/S~2017 S/S seasons. First View Korea and Samsung Design Net were used as major sources for the pattern extraction and analysis. According to the analysis, floral patterns account for 31%(1,454 items) among the total number of patterns appearing in the four major global fashion collections(4,681 items). For the reflection ratio, Samsung Design Net recorded a 4% higher ratio(52%) than First View Korea(48%). Based on the data and analysis of this research, the authors expect that floral patterns in various forms will be continuously presented in fashion collections, and conclude that utilizing fashion magazines is highly useful due to their appropriate predictions.

The task, development of the exemplary patterns for the application of passive solar systems in residential buildings, is very crucial regarding government policies toward energy conservation. So various measurements, evaluation, and feasibility studies are performed in addition to their architectural design and detailed drawings. In conclusion, passive solar systems are effective and economical when they are applied to residential buildings for heating systems.

The present study deals with developing a new modem design of quilt which is characteristic of Korean traditional patterns. The goal of this study is to make some samples of the pattern as a basic motive of quilt work by using some Korean traditional patterns that could be found in roof tiles, windows, Neung-Hwa (a kind of wood cut for printing book covers), and others. This study examines the concept of quilts, their historical background, and their characteristics. This study also examines traditional patterns that are applicable to the patchy work of quilt, discussing the characteristic of both the Korean patterns and Nubi (Korean traditional quilt). In the process of pattern development, the original patterns were simplified and transformed to apply them to the modem quilt pattern. Fabrics (100% cotton) of similar colors were used to emphasize quilting lines. This study has found followings; 1) The geometric pattern usually consists of dots, lines, and faces. These patterns are suitable for pieced quilts. 2) The curvilinear pattern found in roof tiles or Yi-Dynasty coins, can be easily re-expressed by the applique technique. Combinations of fabrics and motive compositions can express quilts in realistic and creative ways. 3) Addition of Korean traditional quilt techniques, such as parallel lines or swastika stitches, to the traditional object-derived quilt patterns led to the creation of images close to the already existing Korean quilt, Nubi.

This study selects camellia flowers as a material for design development and created patterns by simplifying the image of camellia flowers and combining it with a geometrical motif. It it applied them to various fields to develop design content for fashion cultural products that were Korean, modern, and competitive. For this purpose, this paper used Adobe Illustrator CS2 to turn the camellia flower into a motif and develop it into a pattern. Based on the realistic form of camellia flower, this paper set 3 basic motifs of new formative images, using graphic elements, such as omission of a form, simplification, overlapping, repetition, and reduction, and it also developed two transformed motifs by applying a different color to each motif. This paper repetitively arranged each motif in the background of a diamond shape, a square, and a circle, and it combined each motif with the patterns of marcel, stairs, and stripes, through which it expressed the combination of the geometrical patterns and the flower patterns. Through the application of repetitive and combined patterns of each motif, the enlargement and reduction of motifs, the repetition of motifs, the combined use of motifs, and the change in colors and layout, this paper used the motifs of various fashion cultural products, such as scarves, neckties, and T-shirts.

소프트웨어 패턴은 전문가의 검증된 해법과 경험을 토대로 한 문제 해결의 지식표현이다. 그러나, 소프트웨어 개발 문제의 다양성으로 인하여, 현재 발표되어져 있는 수많은 소프트웨어 패턴들 중에서 최적의 패턴을 선택하여 활용하는 것이 용이하지 않다. 이러한 상황은 소프트웨어 패턴의 개념 범주화를 요구하고 있다. 본 논문은 소프트웨어 패턴과 온토로지의 개념 구조를 비교 분석하여, 소프트웨어 패턴이 표출하는 개념 특성을 체계적으로 조직화할 수 있는 소프트웨어 패턴 온토로지(SPO)를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 SPO로 소프트웨어 패턴을 개념 수준에서 관리할 수는 기반을 구축할 수 있다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 패턴과 온토로지 개념을 결합하여 응용할 수 있는 방법을 예시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic information to Korean fashion designers who wish to advance to the overseas collection. This is done through analyzing the design characteristics of Japanese young fashion designers, Tsumori Chisato, Commuun, and Limi Feu, who have successfully launched their designs into the Paris collection and became global fashion brands. Collections of each brand were analyzed by the overall fashion style and design elements. For the overall fashion style, Tsumori Chisato used a romantic style using details with various ornaments, whereas Commuun shows minimal style with a simple silhouette. Limi Feu expressed avant-garde style with experimental patterns. Moreover, these brands expressed different style to other brands by applying Japanese traditional clothes, patterns, and Japanese techniques in modern view point. In terms of design elements, these three brands used the H-line silhouette. Tsumori Chisato used loose fit; Commuun, slim line; and Limi Feu, boxy silhouette. In the case of colors, materials, patterns and details, Tsumori Chisato showed mix & match with various colors, materials, patterns and details. Commuun used mono tone with black & white using only one or two materials. Limi Feu usually used the color black with cotton. According to the style of the brand and region of the collection, the main characteristics of the design and the application of Japanese traditional elements can be different.

클래스 단위의 응용 시스템 구성은 코드 중심의 컴포넌트 추상화로 각 요소의 독립성 유지 및 재사용이 구현상에만 치우쳐 효과가 미흡하다. 따라서 상위의 개발 단계에 대한 객체 지향적 접근을 위해서는 설계 문제의 추상화와 특정 영역의 일반적인 해결에 대한 정보 표현 및 구성요소 상호 간의 관련성을 패턴을 통하여 나타낼 필요가 있다. 또한 기존 시스템의 성능을 변경, 개선하고 변화하는 환경에 적응하기 위해서는 기존 시스템을 실험, 분석함으로써 정확한 이해를 하고 나아가 재사용 자원으로 활용할 수 있는 소프트웨어 역공학이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 객체지향 시스템 코드에서 설계 패턴 추출을 위한 역공학 적용에 관한 타당성과 설계 패턴 자동 추출을 위한 알고리즘을 Java를 적용하여 살펴보고 설계 패턴의 자동 추출을 위한 역공학 및 패턴 재사용을 위한 자동화 도구의 아키텍쳐를 설계 구현한다.

The purpose of this research are to identify the nature of artistic beauty of Kokuryeo dresses and to apply the artistic beauty, formative uniqueness, and esthetic value of Kokuryeo in the modern Korean dress design for creation of new designs. Significance of this research lies in the fact that beauty of traditional dresses possesses highly valuable importance for application to modern fashion design processes. Kokuryeo dresses basically comprised of Yu, Sang, Go and Po, and contains within abstract beauty along with emphasis on geometric elements like dots, lines, and surfaces. Red, Black, Violet, Verdant and scarlet colors were moderately used against the mainly white canvas, and different colors were often used for the top and the bottom. Silk, Hemp cloth and Wool were used for different social levels or ranks, and from the wide variety of colors and patterns of the dresses, such as Round-patterns, Cloud-patterns and Vine-patterns, worn by the people illustrated on the wall paintings, it appears that various materials were used. Vertical hems, Yu (shirts), Sang (skirts), noblemen's dresses, kings' dresses, etc. from Kokuryeo tomb wall paintings were applied, and various dying methods, natural materials and sewing methods were used to recreate the unique features of Kokuryeo dresses in modern designs in an attempt to recreate the esthetic value of Kokuryeo dresses.
