Nonlocal vibration of DWCNTs based on Flügge shell model using wave propagation approach

  • In this article, free vibration attributes of double-walled carbon nanotubes based on nonlocal elastic shell model have been investigated. For this purpose, a nonlocal Flügge shell model is established to observe the small scale effect. The wave propagation is employed to frame the governing equations as eigenvalue system. The influence of nonlocal parameter subjected to different end supports has been overtly examined. A suitable choice of material properties and nonlocal parameter been focused to analyze the vibration characteristics. The new set of inner and outer tubes radii investigated in detail against aspect ratio and length. The dominance of boundary conditions via nonlocal parameter is shown graphically. The results generated furnish the evidence regarding applicability of nonlocal shell model and also verified by earlier published literature.

동태적 혁신이론 기반의 기술 융합 의료서비스 공학모델 (A Technology Convergent Medical Service Engineering Model based on the Dynamic Innovation Theory)

  • Recently, innovative medical services are fast emerging, which include customized medical services based on bio-informatics, composition of cure and well-being exploiting ubiquitous technology, hospital supply chain management using RFID, and so forth. However, conventional approaches for new service development hardly give us systematic model to analyze and produce creative medical services. Because most of them are static and concentrate on microscopic tools or techniques. Thus, it is highly desirable to suggest an integrative framework to organize the whole transformation process from technology to medical service. The objective of this study is to propose a medical service engineering model based on the dynamic innovation theory. The proposed model contains objectives of service system, strategies of hospital, stages, activities required to deal with medical service life cycle, which incorporates the acquisition of new technology, transformation to the product, penetration into market, and adoption of consumers. In addition, the usefulness and applicability of the newly proposed model are provided using catholic medical center example.

A Comparative Analysis of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Architectures for Box Compression Strength Estimation

  • Though box compression strength (BCS) is commonly used as a performance criterion for shipping containers, estimating BCS remains a challenge. In this study, artificial neural networks (ANN) are implemented as a new tool, with a focus on building up ANN architectures for BCS estimation. An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model can be constructed by adjusting four modeling factors: hidden neuron numbers, epochs, number of modeling cycles, and number of data points. The four factors interact with each other to influence model accuracy and can be optimized by minimizing model's Mean Squared Error (MSE). Using both data from the literature and "synthetic" data based on the McKee equation, we find that model estimation accuracy remains limited due to the uncertainty in both the input parameters and the ANN process itself. The population size to build an ANN model has been identified based on different data sets. This study provides a methodology guide for future research exploring the applicability of ANN to address problems and answer questions in the corrugated industry.

소유역 유출해석을 위한 유한요소모형의 개발 (Development of Finite Element Model for Storm Runoff from Small Watersheds)

  • The objectives of this study are to develop a deterministic, distributed, and event - oriented hydrologic watershed model and to test the applicabilities of the model to small watersheds. The resulting model SRAFEM, Storm Runoff Analysis by Finite Element Method, is capable of simulating storm runoff from small watersheds using two - dimensional overland flow and one - dimensional channel flow components by. kinematic approximations and finite element method. Two small watersheds were selected and the applicability of the model was tested. The test results showed that the mean simulation errors for runoff volume and peak flow were 13.9% and 19.1 % for Yeonwha watershed. They were 42.8% and 8.0% for Banweol watershed, respectively.

  • This study is to investigate the methodology and applicability on emission control by both MECHANICAL Model and Fugitive Dust Model (FDM) through the comparison of field measurement data and calculated data. Comparing to the method of AP-42 emission fector on the production of flying dust the MECHANICAL Model was proved to be more applicable to the calculation emission rate on the various dust emission conditions on a unpaved road. The seperate calculation on annual mean emission amount and a 24working hours amount was undertaken for the easy management of fugitive dust. Dust concentration predicted by FDM is similar with a measurement value.

A Study on Explainable Artificial Intelligence-based Sentimental Analysis System Model

  • In this paper, a model combined with explanatory artificial intelligence (xAI) models was presented to secure the reliability of machine learning-based sentiment analysis and prediction. The applicability of the proposed model was tested and described using the IMDB dataset. This approach has an advantage in that it can explain how the data affects the prediction results of the model from various perspectives. In various applications of sentiment analysis such as recommendation system, emotion analysis through facial expression recognition, and opinion analysis, it is possible to gain trust from users of the system by presenting more specific and evidence-based analysis results to users.

기술녹색도 평가모델 개발 및 적용사례 (An Evaluation Model Development of Technology Green Index(TGI) and It's Application to Defense R&D Projects)

  • In this paper, we have developed an evaluation model of technology green index(TGI) which includes 3 evaluation factors and 13 indicators. Furthermore, as presenting the degree of relative importance among evaluation factors and indicators for all R&D evaluation stages and all green technology areas, and applying the proposed model to 5 defense projects, we have found applicability of the model to evaluation of defense R&D projects. The results of evaluation using this model can be used to monitor the performance of project life cycle and develop R&D investment strategy of green technology using portfolio analysis.

Least absolute deviation estimator based consistent model selection in regression

  • We consider the problem of model selection in multiple linear regression with outliers and non-normal error distributions. In this article, the robust model selection criterion is proposed based on the robust estimation method with the least absolute deviation (LAD). The proposed criterion is shown to be consistent. We suggest proposed criterion based algorithms that are suitable for a large number of predictors in the model. These algorithms select only relevant predictor variables with probability one for large sample sizes. An exhaustive simulation study shows that the criterion performs well. However, the proposed criterion is applied to a real data set to examine its applicability. The simulation results show the proficiency of algorithms in the presence of outliers, non-normal distribution, and multicollinearity.

  • 수자원 시스템의 합리적인 분석, 개발계획과 운영 및 설계를 위하여 필요한 자료를 얻기 위한 추계학적 모형이 계속 개발되어지고 있다. 본연구에서는 한강수계의 과거자료를 이요하여 다지점 AR(1) 모형으로서 연유량을 모의발생시킨후, 장기간, 단기간, 통계적 특성치를 잘 보존하는 분해 모형을 통해 월유량을 발생시켰다. 모의 발생된 자료를 이용하여 모형의 적합도 검정, 통계학적 분석을 실시한 결과 사용된 모형이 국내유역에서의 적용가능성이 검증되었다.

KU-RLMS 모형의 잠김-드러남 기법 적용성 평가 (Applicability Test of a Wetting and Drying Scheme for KU-RLMS Model)

  • 이 연구에서는 수심적분된 이차원 비정상 수치모형인 KU-RLMS 모형에 잠김/드러남 기법을 도입하고, 추가된 WAD 기법의 적용성 평가를 수행하였다. 이 모형에 사용된 WAD 기법은 수학적으로는 다소 불완전하지만 수치적으로는 손쉬운 방법으로써, 각 시간 단계에서 잠긴 격자 또는 드러난 격자를 시험하고, 각 격자의 경계에서 플럭스에 대한 개폐 조건을 적용하는 방법을 사용하였다. 모형에 도입한 잠김/드러남 처리 과정의 정확도 검증은 포물형 수조에 대한 해석해와 수치모형의 결과를 비교하는 방법을 사용하였다. 수치해와 해석해의 위상차가 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있으며, 진폭은 조금씩 감소하는 현상이 나타났다. KU-RLMS 흐름모형의 잠김/드러남 처리 과정을 시험하기 위한 지형은 선형경사수로, 수평계단수로, 저류공간수로를 선택하였다. 세 가지 시험수로에 대한 수치모의 결과는 Balzano[4]와 Oey[15]의 수치모의 결과와 유사한 거동을 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.
