Improved Lexicon-driven based Chord Symbol Recognition in Musical Images

  • Although extensively developed, optical music recognition systems have mostly focused on musical symbols (notes, rests, etc.), while disregarding the chord symbols. The process becomes difficult when the images are distorted or slurred, although this can be resolved using optical character recognition systems. Moreover, the appearance of outliers (lyrics, dynamics, etc.) increases the complexity of the chord recognition. Therefore, we propose a new approach addressing these issues. After binarization, un-distortion, and stave and lyric removal of a musical image, a rule-based method is applied to detect the potential regions of chord symbols. Next, a lexicon-driven approach is used to optimally and simultaneously separate and recognize characters. The score that is returned from the recognition process is used to detect the outliers. The effectiveness of our system is demonstrated through impressive accuracy of experimental results on two datasets having a variety of resolutions.

Effect of Gold Substrates on the Raman Spectra of Graphene

  • Raman spectra of a single layer graphene sheet placed in different gold substrates were obtained and are discussed in the context of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The gold substrates were composed of a combination of a thermally deposited gold film and a close-packed gold nanosphere layer. The SERS effects were negligible when the excitation wavelength was 514 nm, while the Raman signals were enhanced 3-to 50-fold when the excitation wavelength was 633 nm. The large SERS enhancement accompanied a spectral distortion with appearance of several unidentifiable peaks, as well as enhancement of a broadened D peak. These phenomena are interpreted as the local field enhancement in the nanostructure of the gold substrates. The difference in the enhancement factors among the various gold substrates is explained with a model in which the spatial distribution and polarization of the local field and the orientation of the inserted graphene sheet are considered important.

  • Internet users' desire to share shopping experiences has resulted in the appearance of the paradigm shift called social commerce, which combines social media with commerce. However, while foreign market realizes social commerce in a various way, current domestic social commerce market still seems to be highly filled with social shopping sites offering 50 percent discount, thus causing concerns about market distortion from a cutthroat competition. In order to overcome the limitations of social commerce remaining in the early stage, and to enhance the communication among consumers, this study conducted an empirical study on the social-commerce business models design based on context. The results of the study brought the imaginary, optimal combination model by conjoint analysis, using the segmented group through cluster analysis. To overcome the uniformity of social commerce and to enhance communication among consumers, the context-based optimal combination model should be proposed as the alternative social commerce business model in the domestic market which remains as a simple group-purchase function. Furthermore, this study will be used as an informative reference designing customer oriented service model for social commerce business.

영상 선명화를 위한 개선된 Retinex 알고리즘 (Advanced Retinex Algorithm for Image Enhancement)

  • 디지털 카메라는 제한된 크기의 다이내믹레인지를 갖는 이미지 센서의 한계로 인하여 인간의 눈으로 보는 것과 동일한 화질의 영상을 얻을 수 없기 때문에 이를 개선해야 할 필요성이 있다. 기존의 화질개선방법으로는 Land의 인간의 시각적 모델을 바탕으로 한 Retinex 알고리즘이 대표적이다. Retinex 알고리즘은 칼라의 일관성과 시각적인 개선을 제공하지만, 전역적인 contrast 감소와 후광효과 및 색왜곡 문제를 발생시키기도 한다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 YCbCr 색공간에서 휘도성분의 주파수성분에 대한 처리를 통해 전역적 contrast를 향상시키고, 색차성분에 대한 처리를 통해 칼라 선명도를 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과영상의 비교를 통해 제안된 알고리즘이 기존의 알고리즘에 비해 연산량 감소효과가 뛰어나며 전역적 contrast 향상과 색상 보전 성능이 우수하고 후광효과를 효과적으로 제거함을 확인하였다.

여성 점퍼슈트의 산업패턴 비교 분석 연구 - 동작에 따른 여유분 비교를 중심으로 - (Comparative analysis on the industrial patterns of women's jumper suits - Focusing on the surplus according to the movement -)

  • For clothing items that combine the top with the bottom, such as a jumper suit, it is necessary to design original forms to develop clothes in various styles that can satisfy aesthetic and functional needs. Therefore, to determine the original forms of women's jumper suits, this study aimed to analyze the patterns of women's jumper suits being sold in the market comparatively and evaluate their fitness. For the study method, this researcher obtained five types of women's jumper suits from local brands and compared the patterns' measured sizes, then conducted exterior evaluation on the surplus according to five different movements and analyzed the values of distortion of clothing pressure comparatively. According to the results, in the basic posture, brands A and C received favorable results, while in the other movements, brand B, which had the biggest surplus on the bottom, was evaluated favorably. In conclusion, in the patterns of women's jumper suits, a bigger surplus is added to either the crotch length or crotch girth rather than the top length, and the top and the bottom tend to have a different surplus according to the design. In addition, based on the values of body surface lengths according to the range of movements, this study suggests that an additional surplus be added to the length.

강바닥판의 피로성능 향상을 위한 다이아프램 구조상세 (A Numerical Analysis on the Diaphragm Structures for Improving Fatigue Performance in Orthotropic Steel Decks)

  • 강바닥판 교량은 비교적 얇은 강판을 서로 용접에 의해 연결한 구조물로서 많은 양의 용접을 피할 수 없다. 강바닥판의 횡리브 복부판에서는 전단력과 비틀림 모멘트가 작용하는 동시에 종리브의 비틀림으로 인한 면내 면외 변형이 작용하기 때문에 종리브-횡리브 복부판-데크플레이트 교차부 및 횡리브복부판 컷아웃(슬릿)부에서 응력집중 현상이 두드러지게 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 강바닥판 구조형식의 피로성능 향상 효과가 큰 교차부에 스캘럽을 두지 않는 동시에 종리브 내부에 횡리브 복부판면과 일치되게 다이아프램을 설치하면 컷아웃부 및 교차부에서의 응력집중 감소효과가 크며, 특히 다이아프램의 설치가 컷아웃부에서의 응력집중 감소효과에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 연구결과를 바탕으로 다이아프램 상하부면 곡률반경을 대상으로 매개변수해석을 수행한 결과 피로성능에 영향이 큰 응력집중 감소효과가 큰 최적 다이아프램형상을 도출하였다. 또한 최적 다이아프램 형상을 바탕으로 피로성능 향상에 유리한 다이아프램 최적 설치위치를 도출하였다.

설계일관성을 고려한 도로 곡선반경 산정에 관한 연구 (Development of Estimation of Curve Radii of Road Considering Design Consistency)

  • 차량의 주행속도는 설계일관성을 평가하는 주요한 척도로 활용되며 그 중 곡선반경은 여러 연구에서 공통적으로 제시한 주된 요인으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 복합선형에서 설계속도별 적정 평면곡선반경 범위기준을 정립하고 운전자의 인지 행태를 나타낼 수 있는 인지반경을 정립하여 입체선형에서 적합한 평면곡선반경을 제시하고자 한다. 첫째, 본 연구에서는 저속차량의 방해요소를 최소화하기 위하여 입체선형을 고려한 도로의 임의지점에서 횡방향 미끄럼 마찰계수와 주행방향 미끄럼 마찰계수를 동시에 고려하여 설계속도와 종단경사별 평면곡선반경을 제시하였다. 둘째, 본 연구에서는 곡선부 인지반경을 통하여 평면 곡선부와 편평한 종단경사가 조합된 경우, 평면 곡선부와 종단곡선부가 조합된 경우를 비교한 후, 곡선부 인지반경을 산정하여 설계속도별 적정 평면곡선반경과 인지반경 비율을 제시하였다.

가압-진공 하이브리드 주입 성형에 의한 알루미나의 성형에 미치는 다단 가압의 영향 (Effect of Step Pressure on Shape Forming of Alumina by Pressure-Vacuum Hybrid Slip Casting)

  • Conventional cold isostatic pressing, slip casting, and filter pressing are not completely suitable for fabricating large plates because of disadvantages such as the high cost of equipment and formation of density gradient. These problems could be avoided by employing pressure-vacuum hybrid slip casting (PVHSC). In the PVHSC, the consolidation occurs not only by the compression of the slip in casting room, but also by vacuum sucking of the dispersion medium around the mold. We prepared the alumina bodies by the PVHSC in a static- or stepwise-pressure manner for loading up to 0.5 MPa using an aqueous slip. The green bodies were dried at $30^{\circ}C$ with 40 ~ 80% relative humidity. Under static pressure, casting induced a density gradient in the formed body, resulting in cracking and distortion after the firing. However, the stepwise pressure loading resulted in green bodies with homogeneous density, and the minimization of the appearance of those defects in final products. Desirable drying results were obtained from the cast bodies dried with 80% RH environment humidity. When sintered at $1650^{\circ}C$ for 4 h, the alumina plate made by stepwise-pressure casting reached full density (> 99.7% relative density).

  • 용접변형이란 용접열원에 의해 구조물에 생성되는 불균일 온도분포에 의해서 발생하는 영구적인 변형이다. 용접변형은 용접구조물의 강도와 외관 및 치수 정밀도를 저하시킴으로써 생산성 저하의 주원인이 되기도 하며, 이러한 용접변형을 제어하기 위해 많은 실험과 연구가 수행되었다. 본 논문은 용접시 발생되는 변형 중에 하나인 종굽힘에 대하여 실험과 수치적 해석결과를 통해 비교 및 분석하였으며, 이를 통해 종굽힘 용접변형의 생성기구에 대하여 연구한 것이다. 용접실험은 4, 8.5 mm 두께의 평판에 대해 실시하였으며, 수치적 해석은 MSC.marc 상용프로그램을 사용하였다.

자가 진피지방술을 이용한 집게조갑의 교정 (Correction of Pincer Nail using Autogenous Dermofat Graft)

  • Purpose: Pincer nail is a relatively rare deformity characterized by an increase in transverse curvature along the longitudinal axis of the nail. This curvature commonly increases from proximal to distal end of nail, leading to pinching, curling, and distortion of the underlying soft tissue and resulting frequently in severe pain. Numerous surgical procedures have been reported. Preserving the width of the nail in the correction of the pincer nail is very important for functional and aesthetic reasons. We report the results of the correction of the pincer nail using autogenous dermofat graft with a good result. Methods: From May 2006 to September 2008, dermofat graft was performed in 6 patients with pincer nail. Patients were four women and two men, and the average age was 51. The affected digits were the unilateral great toes in four patients and the unilateral thumbs in two patients. Average follow-up period was 13 months. Surgical procedure was removal of nail using an elevator to avoid damage to the nail bed. An incision was created in distal portion of hyponychium. Paronychium was dissected from distal phalanx by periosteal elevator through incision of hyponychium and tunnel was made. Then dermofat grafts harvested from inguinal area were inserted into the tunnel. Finally, a silicone sheet was inserted eponychial fold for prevention of synechia. Objective assessment was evaluated by use of the width index and height index. Results: All patients reported resolution of the pain and soft tissue pinching sensation that they had before the operation. There was good adherence between the nail plate and the underlying nail bed. The nails have regrown and were corrected in a normal and flattened appearance. The width index and height index were improved. Conclusion: The autogenous dermofat graft seems to provide an effective treatment of the pincer nail with preservation of the nail matrix.
