  • Two fungivorous Korean erotylid beetles-Triplax ainonia Lewis, 1887 and Triplax nagaoi Nakane, 1977 in the tribe Tritomini-were recorded for the first time from Korea. All Korean Triplax members are associated with the fruiting bodies of higher fungi and fungus-grown bark. Re-description, key to the species of Korean Triplax, photographs of adults, and line drawings of diagnostic characters and host fungi records are provided.

  • While collecting Poaceae weeds at Jeju-do, we found two unrecorded species of the Paspalum, P. notatum Fl$\ddot{u}$gg$\acute{e}$ and P. urvillei Steud. We provide the descriptions and illustrations of both species. Key to the newly recorded species and related taxa of Korean Paspalum is also presented.

  • A new species of Theridiidae, Carniella coreana sp. nov., is described and illustrated from Korea. The male of this newly described species is most similar to Carniella tsurui Ono, 2007 in the general shape of its palp, but can be distinguished by the winding structure of the embolus and broad tipped and twisted embolic apophysis. The genus Carniella Thaler & Steinberger, 1988 is newly recorded to Korean spider fauna.

  • The classification system of Collybiopsis has been updated to contain some species of Collybiopsis, Gymnopus sect. Vestipedes, and Marasmiellus. Recently, we conducted the taxonomic study of Korean Collybiopsis to reflect the current classification system and confirmed 16 species. We propose their Korean names in this research note.

  • Based on the taxonomic survey to uncover the ciliate diversity in the eastern Kangwon-province, twenty-six species were identified from moss-covered soils and assigned to 5 classes, 9 orders, 12 families, and 15 genera. Of these, fifteen species are first records from Korea, and brief remarks with photographs were provided.

  • During a survey of sand-burrowing amphipods, a phoxocephalid species, Parametaphoxus asiaensis (Hirayama, 1992), was found on the tidal flat of Yellow Sea and Jeju Island, Korea. The genus Parametaphoxus is reported for the first time in the Korean fauna. In this paper, we describe and illustrate the species, P. asiaensis of the family Phoxocephalidae in detail.

  • We collected two unrecorded Colpoda species - C. cucullus $M\ddot{u}ller$, 1773 and C. inflata (Stokes, 1885) Kahl, 1931 from Jeju-do Province (Sarabong Park, $33^{\circ}31^{\prime}N$ $126^{\circ}32^{\prime}E$) in November, 2014. We described these species based on observations of live and impregnated (protargol and silver nitrate impregnation) specimens.

A total of 218 taxa were identified, among which 11 were new species records in Korea; these 11 species were found at four sites (Hanagang River, Chukdong reservoir, Chukdong fishery, and Deokjin reservoir). The new species recorded were Fotterella tetrachlorelloides, Trochiscia naumannii, Keriochlamys styriaca, Placosphaera opaca, Siderocystopsis fusca, Siderocelis oblonga, Siderocelis estheriana, Pachycladella umbrina, Pachycladella zatoriensis, Crucigenia mucronata and Scenedesmus sempervirens.

  • In Irkutsk region the plants of spring wheat (Tr. aestivum) grow in three agro-ecological zones: steppe, forest-steppe and subtaiga. Due to this reason, the paper determines the coefficients of correlation between the indicators field germination of seeds, plant safety, productivity, temperature and moisture content of the plant habitat for each zone. The zonal moisture saving features of soil treatment for growing wheat plants (Tr. aestivum) are discussed on the basis of these data.
