PSC box girder bridges usually have a lot of tendons, and the difference of the bursting forces lies in the prestressing order of the tendons. As a result of the lack of studies on the prestressing order for the bridges, the order depends on the designer's intuition and experiences. In this paper, with investigation into various methods determining the bursting force of the anchorage, reasonable prestressing order is determined by analysis of PSC beam bridge and PSC box girder bridge with most suitable method. It may be stated that this study would be useful for determining the reasonable prestressing order of tendons for the PSC box girder bridges.

In this study, 24 prototype specimens were tested to find out the shear behavior and strength of large anchorage system exceeding 50mm(2") in anchor bolt diameter($d_0$) and 635mm(25") in effective embedment depth($h_{ef}$) not addressed by ACI349-06 Appendix B. Test variables are anchor bolt diameter($d_0$ = 63.5, 76.2, 88.9mm), effective embedment depth($h_{ef}$=635, 762mm), and edge distance($c_1$=381, 508, 762mm). Concrete compressive strength is constant($f_{ck}$=38MPa). Test results ($V_{test}$) were overestimated by $V_{aci06}$(shear strength by ACI 349-06) and $V_{ccd}$(shear strength by CCD method). In large anchorage system exceeding 50mm(2") of anchor bolt diameter($d_0$) and 635mm(25") of anchor bolt effective embedment depth($h_{ef}$), the bolt diameter variation and effective embedment depth($h_{ef}$) has no influence on the shear strenth, But, according to the analysis results of the feature ratio on edge distance($c_1$) and anchor bolt diameter, the feature ratio become smaller, which means anchor bolt diameter is bigger, predicted ratio of test results and predicted equation is larger. It was found that anchor bolt diameter is immediate cause of deterioration in the shear capacity of large anchorage system. To improve and extend the validity of current design recommendations further theoretical and numerical work is needed.

Shear experiments were carried out to evaluate shear performance of SFRC deep beams with end-anchorage of SD600 high strength headed reinforcing tensile bars. The experimental variables include the end-anchorage methods of tensile bars (headed bar, straight bar), the end-anchorage lengths, and the presence of shear reinforcement. Specimens with a shear span ratio of 1 showed a pattern of the shear compression failure with the slope cracks progressed after the initial bending crack occurred. Specimens with end-anchorage of headed bars (H-specimens) showed a larger shear strengths of 5.6% to 22.4% compared to straight bars (NH-specimens). For H-specimens, bearing stress reached 0.9 to 17.2% of the total stress of tensile bars up to 75% of the maximum load, and reached 22.4% to 46%. This shows that the anchorage strength due to the bearing stress of headed bars has a significant effect on shear strength. The experimental shear strength was 2.68 to 4.65 times the theoretical shear strength by the practical method, and the practical method was evaluated as the safety side.

In order to reuse existing onshore turbine foundations, it is important to redesign and reinforce the existing foundations according to the upgraded tower diameter and turbine load. In the present study, a slab extension reinforcement method and structure details of an anchorage part were examined in consideration of the reuse of spread footings, which are the most widely used foundation type in onshore wind turbine foundations. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the load resistance performance of a reinforced spread footing according to structure details of an anchorage part. The results showed that (1) the strength of an anchorage part could be increased by more than 30 % by adding reinforcement bars in the anchorage part, (2) pile-sleeves attached to an anchor ring contributed to an increase in rotational stiffness by preventing shear slip behavior between the anchor ring and the concrete, and (3) slab connectors contributed to an increase in the strength and deformation capacity by preventing the separation of new and old concrete slabs.
It is expected that recent development of the mechanical model will replace previous empirical methods of detailing. In this study, a mechanical model is proposed to analyze the behavior of the anchorage zone of prestressed concrete members. Main characteristics of the proposed model lies on its rational consideration of material properties, and concrete strength in biaxial stress state and that of local zone reinforced by spirals. Shear friction strength of concrete surrounding spirals are also considered. The results of' the proposed method as well as the known Strut-and-Tie method and nonlinear finite element analysis are compared with some typical experimental results. We get good agreement to the failure mode as well as the failure load from test results. And it can be shown that three dimentional failure mechanism, which cannot be expected by the method based on 2D analysis, can be explained by proposed model.

This study has attempted to suggest a proper reinforcement method by strengthening unbonded post -tensioning through height of an anchorage hole, form of a saddle, and loading time point as parameters and evaluating the reinforcement method through a bending experiment. The result of this experiment indicated effects of reinforcement since the maximum strength ratio(the ratio of an experimental value to theoretical value) of SC composite beams before prestressed was 0.97 and after prestress were 1.00~1.21. As a result of analysis on displacement and strain, irrespective of height of an anchorage hole and loading time point, the D120-series specimen where an anchorage hole was installed on the neutral axis after reinforcement showed that its deflection continuously increased without sudden load reduction after maximum load and it stably behaved with relatively low strain of each part. In terms of reinforcement effects, the maximum strength of SCR-UD120 specimen prestressed after pre-loading was increased 1.72 times comparing to SC composite beams so SCR-UD120 specimen prestressed after pre-loading was shown to be the best.
We propose an effective methodology using electromechanical impedance characteristics for estimating the remaining tensile force of tendons and simultaneously detecting damages of the anchorage blocks. Once one piezoelectric patch is attached on the anchor head and the other is bonded on the bearing plate, impedance responses are measured through these two patches under varying tensile force conditions. Then statistical indices are calculated from the impedances, and two types of relationship curves between the tensile force and the statistical index (TE Curve) and between statistical indices of two patches (SR Curve) are established. Those are considered as database for monitoring both the tendon and the anchorage system. If damage exists on the bearing plate, the statistical index of patch on the bearing plate would be out of bounds of the SR curve and damage can be detected. A change in the statistical index by damage is calibrated with the SR curve, and the tensile force can be estimated with the corrected index and the TE Curve. For validation of the developed methodology, experimental studies are performed on the scaled model of an anchorage system that is simplified only with 3 solid wedges, a 3-hole anchor head, and a bearing plate. Then, the methodology is applied to a real scale anchorage system that has 19 strands, wedges, an anchor head, a bearing plate, and a steel duct. It is observed that the proposed scheme gives quite accurate estimation of the remaining tensile forces. Therefore, this methodology has great potential for practical use to evaluate the remaining tensile forces and damage status in the post-tensioned structural members.
To improve the dispersion of platinum catalyst, the effects of carbon black surface treatment, solvents, surfactants, and ultrasonic homogenizing were examined. Upon introducing the hydrophilic groups acting as an anchorage center of the catalyst on the surface of carbon black by oxidation, the migrating and growing of platinum particles(or ions) during reduction could be restricted. When mixed solvents, surfactants, or ultrasonic homogenizer were used to disperse catalysts on the carbon black, the dispersion of catalyst could be improved, due to the good permeation of chloroplatinic acid through the pore of carbon black. Among the impregnation methods, the method using ultrasonic homogenizer with mixed solvent was the most excellent. Using this method the particle sized could be minimized in less than $30A^{\circ}$ and distributed homogeneously.

In this study, the SBC system, a new mechanical joint method, was developed to improve the constructability of precast concrete (PC) beam-column connections. The reliability of the finite element analysis model was verified through the comparison of experimental results and FEM analysis results. Recently, the intermediate moment frame, a seismic force resistance system, has served as a ramen structure that resists seismic force through beams and columns and has few load-bearing walls, so it is increasingly being applied to PC warehouses and PC factories with high loads and long spans. However, looking at the existing PC beam-column anchorage details, the wire, strand, and lower main bar are overlapped with the anchorage rebar at the end, so they do not satisfy the joint and anchorage requirements for reinforcing bars (KDS 41 17 00 9.3). Therefore, a mechanical joint method (SBC) was developed to meet the relevant standards and improve constructability. Tensile and bending experiments were conducted to examine structural performance, and a finite element analysis model was created. The load-displacement curve and failure pattern confirmed that both the experimental and analysis results were similar, and it was verified that a reliable finite element analysis model was built. In addition, bending tests showed that the larger the thickness of the bolt joint surface of the SBC, the better its structural performance. It was also determined that the system could improve energy dissipation ability and ductility through buckling and yielding occurring in the SBC.

The strengthening in terms of efficiency, easy, economics is very popular method when it is applied to a damaged structures. The purpose of this study develops anchorage system that supports enough strengthening effect without any damage. In addition it is checked whether the method can be conveniently applied to structures. To verify strengthening effect a flexural experiments were performed. Four concrete beams were constructed and tested. Deflections, strains and modes of failure were recorded to examine strengthen of beams. Comparing crack load of each experimental data, yielding load, ultimate load, ductility index, and tendon stress were analyzed.
