The next generation nuclear power reactor will use Pb-Bi as the cooling material. The steel structure materials such as HT-9 used in the reactor suffer from corrosion when they are exposed to high temperature Pb-Bi. Therefore corrosion should be prevented to use Pb-Bi as the coolant material without any safety problem. One method is to control the oxygen content in Pb-Bi. An appropriate amount of oxygen in Pb-Bi can produce a thin oxide layer on steel, and this layer protects the steel from corrosion attack. Since the required oxygen content in Pb-Bi is in the range of $10^{-5}$ to $10^{-7}$ wt%, this small oxygen content can be controlled by flowing a mixture of hydrogen gas and water vapor. The stagnant corrosion test of HT-9 samples was performed by controlling the oxygen content up to 2,000 hours. The corrosion behavior of HT-9 was analyzed at the temperatures of $500^{\circ}C$ and $650^{\circ}C$ with a reduced condition and a oxygen content of $10^{-6}$ wt%.
This study was conducted to blow the effect of postharvest physiological changes on garlic quality according to its ecotypes and storage temperatures. The changes of water, total soluble solids, crude stein, md total fructans were measured and the rates of respiration and sprouting were analyzed during storage at 20$^{\circ}C$ and 30$^{\circ}C$. The decrease of water content and the increase of total soluble solids were reversely appeared during garlic storage. The crude protein content was gradually increased during storage but total fructan content was decrased. The respiration late was maximized at 60days after storage and the spouting rate was gradually increased. In the aspect of ecotypic characteristics, the water content, fructan content and sprouting rate were higher in 'Namdo' cultivar than those of southern type. The high storage temperature (30$^{\circ}C$) controlled spouting and loss of fructan, and it was effective to maintain the garlic quality.
This study explored the relationship between post types and linguistic characteristics in marketer-generated content and social media engagement to find the optimized content to enhance social media engagement level. Post data of 23,588 marketer-generated content were collected from 50 states' destination marketing organization Facebook pages in the United States. The collected data were analyzed by employing social media analytics, linguistic analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, and discriminant analysis. The results showed that there are significant differences in both engagement indicators and linguistic scores among the three post types. Based on research findings, this research not only provided researchers with theoretical implications but also suggested practitioners the most effective content designs for travel destination marketing in Facebook.
In this study, we analyzed the proportions of STS content, components, topics, and types of the activities of STS content in the elementary science textbooks developed under the 2007 Revised National Curriculum. The analyses of the results revealed that the percentage of STS content included was 15.9% by the number of pages, and 13.5% by the lesson hour. By the components of the STS content, the proportion of 'application of science', 'science-technology and our life' and 'social problems and issues' were large. Most STS topics were related to the 'effects of technological developments' and 'environmental issue', and the topics of 'family and population' and 'human engineering' were few. By the types of the activities, reading was the most, and investigation and writing were also found. Compared with those of the science textbooks developed under the 7th National Curriculum, the variety of components of the STS content increased, but the proportion of STS content and the variety of activities of STS content decreased in the science textbooks developed under the 2007 Revised National Curriculum.
We analyzed the contents of 12 types of minerals such as calcium in muscle from various species. Thereafter we observed changes of the concentrations according to age, part and sex in major domestic animals. The concentrations of calcium, iron, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc were high respectively whilst the content of cobalt, chromium, copper, manganese, molybdenum and nickel were low respectively in the muscle. The concentration of calcium was high in duck and dog but low in pig and horse. Also high level of sodium content was detected in dog and the content of potassium, iron showed high level in horse compared with the content in other animals. In 6 types of microminerals as cobalt, the level of muscle were no more than 1 ppm showing very low content in all animal, but $2.99{\pm}0.85$ppm of copper in duck was an exceptional case. According to the age some species showed small range of variation centering on macrominerals and there was no remarkable change in microminerals. Distribution of minerals was different according to the part and the variation was very diverse compared with other factors such as age and sex. Additionally, the content of minerals in muscle was higher in female than in male chicken and duck. In conclusion, the difference of the content of minerals according to the species was mainly focused on macrominerals.
By using an oxynitride glass as a sintering additive, the effects of BN content on microstructure and mechanical properties of the hot-pressed and subsequently annealed SiC-BN composites were investigated. The microstructures developed were analyzed by image analysis. The morphology of SiC grains was strongly dependent on BN content in the starting composition. The aspect ratio of SiC decreases with increasing BN content and the average diameter of SiC shows a maximum at 5 wt% BN and decreases with increasing BN content in the starting powder. The fracture toughness increased with increasing BN content while the strength decreased with increasing BN content. The strength and fracture toughness of SiC or SiC-TiC composites were strongly dependent on the morphology of SiC grains, but the strength and fracture toughness of SiC-BN composites were strongly dependent on BN content rather than morphology of SiC grains. These results suggest that fracture toughness of SiC ceramics can be tailored by manipulating BN content in the starting composition. Typical fracture toughness and strength of SiC-10 wt% BN composites were 8 MPa$.$m$\^$1/2/ and 445 MPa, respectively.
In this study, unit-water content was measured using a frequency domain reflecometry(FDR) sensor that complements the problems of the existing unit-water content measurement method to evaluate the unit-water content affecting the workability, durability, and quality of high strength concrete. The experiment used the unit-water content of high strength concrete as a variable, and the accuracy and probability distribution of the unit-water content measured through deep learning were analyzed for the output value output through the FDR sensor. In the case of the unit-water content predicted by deep learning analysis, a high accuracy and high distribution of more than 93% were found within the error range of ± 10 kg/m3. In the future, research is needed to secure high reliability by utilizing data obtained through experiments with various variables.
Purpose: Various landscapes have been created in the process of changing containers, which were a tool of trade activities, to architecture, and today, containers have formed relationships with people as complex facilities and constantly create new cultures.
