For a bounded linear operator T we prove the following assertions: (a) If T is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then T is a-isoloid, polaroid, reguloid and a-polaroid. (b) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$, where $Hol({\sigma}(T))$ is the space of all functions that analytic in an open neighborhoods of ${\sigma}(T)$ of T. (c) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then generalized a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$. (d) If T is a (p, k)-quasihyponormal operator, then the spectral mapping theorem holds for semi-B-essential approximate point spectrum $\sigma_{SBF_+^-}(T)$, and for left Drazin spectrum ${\sigma}_{lD}(T)$ for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$.

Given a faithful flow ${\alpha}$ on a $C^*$-algebra A, when A is ${\alpha}$-simple we will show that the closed subalgebra of A consisting of elements with non-negative Arveson spectra is maximal if and only if the crossed product of A by ${\alpha}$ is simple. We will also show how the general case can be reduced to the ${\alpha}$-simple case, which roughly says that any flow with the above maximality is an extension of a trivial flow by a flow of the above type in the ${\alpha}$-simple case. We also propose a condition of essential maximality for such closed subalgebras.

General algorithm is developed for the prediction of internal flow-induced noise. This algorithm is based on the integral formula derived by using the General Green Function, Lighthills acoustic analogy and Curls extension of Lighthills. Novel approach of this algorithm is that the integral formula is so arranged as to predict frequency-domain acoustic signal at any location in a duct by using unsteady flow data in space and time, which can be provided by the Computational Fluid Dynamics Techniques. This semi-analytic model is applied to the prediction of internal aerodynamic noise from a throttle valve in an automotive engine. The predicted noise levels from the throttle valve are compared with actual measurements. This illustrative computation shows that the current method permits generalized predictions of flow noise generated by bluff bodies and turbulence in flow ducts.

J. Leray [7] proposed a sufficient condition ofr the solvability of the Cauchy problem on the initial hyperplane x$_{1}$=0 with Cauchy data which are holomorphic with respect to the variables parallel to some analytic subvariety S of the initial hyperplane. Limiting the problem to the case of operators with constant coefficients, A. Kaneko [2] proposed a new sharper sufficient condition. Later we generalized this condition and showed that it is necessary and sufficient for the solvability of the Cauchy problem for the hyperfunction Cauchy data and the distribution Cauchy data which contain variables parallel to S as holomorphic parameters in [5, 6]. In this paper, we extend the results in [6] to the case of operators with variable coefficients and show that it is sufficient for the solvability of the Cauchy problem for the hyperfunction Cauchy data. Our main theorem can be considered as an example of a deep theorem on micro-hyperbolic systems by Kashiwara-Schapira [4] and we give a direct proof based on an elementary sweeping out procedure developed in Kaneko [3].

An entire function $f\;{\in}\;H(\mathbb{C})$ is called universal with respect to translations if for any $g\;{\in}\;H(\mathbb{C}),\;R\;>\;0,\;and\;{\epsilon}\;>\;0$, there is $n\;{\in}\;{\mathbb{N}}$ such that $$\mid$f(z\;+\;n)\;-\;g(z)$\mid$\;<\;{\epsilon}$ whenever $$\mid$z$\mid$\;{\leq}\;R$. Similarly, it is universal with respect to differentiation if for any g, R, and $\epsilon$, there is n such that $$\mid$f^{(n)}(z)\;-\;g(z)$\mid$\;<\;{\epsilon}\;for\;$\mid$z$\mid$\;{\leq}\;R$. In this note, we review G. MacLane's proof of the existence of universal functions with respect to differentiation, and we give a simplified proof of G. D. Birkhoff's theorem showing the existence of universal functions with respect to translation. We also discuss Godefroy and Shapiro's extension of these results to convolution operators as well as some new, related results and problems.

The analytic function expansion nodal (AFEN) method has been successfully applied to two-group neutron diffusion problems. In this paper, the AFEN method is extended to solve general multigroup equations for any type of geometries. Also, a suite of new nodal codes based on the extended AFEN theory is developed for hexagonal-z geometry and applied to several benchmark problems. Numerical results obtained attest to their accuracy and applicability to practical problems.

In this paper, making use of symmetric differential operator, we introduce a new class of ℓ-symmetric - mutually adjoint functions. To make this study more comprehensive and versatile, we have used a differential operator involving three-parameter extension of the well-known Mittag-Leffler functions. Mainly we investigated the inclusion relation and subordination conditions which are the main results of the paper. To establish connections or relations with earlier studies, we have presented applications of main results as corollaries.

The focus on the issues surrounding spent nuclear fuel and lifetime extension of old nuclear power plants continues to grow nowadays. A transparent decision-making process to identify the best suitable nuclear fuel cycle (NFC) is considered to be the key task in the current situation. Through this study, an attempt is made to develop an equilibrium model for the NFC to calculate the material flows based on 1 TWh of electricity production, and to perform integrated multicriteria decision-making method analyses via the analytic hierarchy process technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution, preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluation, and multiattribute utility theory methods. This comparative study is aimed at screening and ranking the three selected NFC options against five aspects: sustainability, environmental friendliness, economics, proliferation resistance, and technical feasibility. The selected fuel cycle options include pressurized water reactor (PWR) once-through cycle, PWR mixed oxide cycle, or pyroprocessing sodium-cooled fast reactor cycle. A sensitivity analysis was performed to prove the robustness of the results and explore the influence of criteria on the obtained ranking. As a result of the comparative analysis, the pyroprocessing sodium-cooled fast reactor cycle is determined to be the most competitive option among the NFC scenarios.

본 연구에서는 진법에 대한 역사적 흐름을 간략하게 살펴보고, 유추를 활용하여 진법 내용에 대한 수학탐구활동의 방향 탐색 및 교수학습 자료를 개발하였다. 중학교에서 학습하는 십진법과 이진법을 수학기초지식으로 하여 다양한 수학적인 사실들을 탐구하였다. 먼저, 대수적인 수학내용으로 유추적 사고활동을 어떻게 진행할 것인지에 대해 고찰하였다. 다음으로 중학교 1학년에서 학습하는 진법을 바탕으로 a진법, -a진법, $\frac{1}{a}$진법, $\sqrt{a}$진법의 정의를 유추를 활용하여 확장하였고, 이러한 진법의 정의를 바탕으로 자연수, 정수, 유리수를 다양한 진법으로 표현하는 방법에 대해 고찰하였다. 마지막으로 확장된 진법에서 덧셈과 곱셈 연산을 수행하는 방법을 개발하였다. 유추를 활용하여 얻은 자료를 통해 수학교육과정과 교수학습에 의미 있는 시사점을 주리라 기대한다.

Is the Fourth Industrial Revolution a revolution for cities only? Through the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Korea has entered quickly in the influence area of intelligent information technology such as IoT, AI, Big data, Cloud, ICT, Digital twin. However, as the information gap between the rural zone and the urban zone worsens, a policy was needed to reduce such a gap. Therefore, this research analyzed EU's smart village project, and investigated the problem and improvement of the actual smart village through the interview and field study with the person in charge of the actual smart village project in Korea. Based on the analytic result, 5 plans were deduced to improve Korea's smart village project. First, make the realistic adjustment of project period to assure the sustainability of smart village; second, make the new establishment of the department in charge of smart village project; third, construct the system of integrating and cooperating the policy that can embrace all the rural zone and the urban zone; the fourth, expand the application area of customized ICT technology according to the new rural policy environment; and finally introduce the residents' capacity development project through the rural guidance project.
