  • The purpose of this paper is to make a study on the characterization of multimedia phenomena and to analyse the tendency of multimedia services and market. At first, various definitions of multimedia and the basis of multimedia services are analysed and evaluated from the point of economical, technical, and practical views. After that the expert survey to estimate an accurate tendency of multimedia services in Germany is analysed and the state of development in the field of multimedia database in Korea is investigated. Upon the results of these analysis and evaluation, the economical and managerial interests are described.

  • 스마트폰의 보급과 소프트웨어 개발기술의 발전으로 다양한 어플리케이션이 출시되고 사용되어지고 있다. 특히, 스마프폰을 통해 모바일 쇼핑뿐 아니라 개인간 거래가 활성화되고 있다. 하지만 사용자가 많아지면서 인터넷 사기 범죄도 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 사용자간의 교류가 많은 어플리케이션은 인증이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 어플리케이션에서 활용하는 인증의 종류를 알아보고 모바일 중고 거래 어플리케이션의 사용자 인증의 종류와 신뢰도 측정방법을 비교 분석하고, 문제점을 파악하였다.

Downlink Wireless Adaptive Modulation and Coding Scheme (AMC)-based Priority Queuing Scheduling Algorithm for Multimedia Services

  • To realize the wireless packet scheduler which efficiently considers both the effect of adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) scheme due to variable wireless communication channel information from physical layer and the QoS differentiation of multimedia services from internet protocol (IP) layer, this paper proposes a new downlink AMC-based priority queuing (APQ) scheduler which combines AMC scheme and service priority method in multimedia services at the same time. The result of numerical analysis shows that the proposed APQ algorithm plays a role in increasing the number of services satisfying the mean waiting time requirements per each service in multimedia services because the APQ scheme allows the mean waiting time of each service to be reduced much more than existing packet scheduler having only user selection processor.

  • 기업 및 기관 데이터는 워드프로세서, 프레젠테이션, 이메일, open api, 엑셀, XML, JSON 등과 같은 텍스트 기반의 비정형 데이터로 구성되어 있습니다. 텍스트 마이닝(Textmining)을 통해서 자연어 처리 및 기계학습 등의 기술을 이용하여 정보의 추출부터 요약·분류·군집·연관도 분석 등의 과정을 수행울 진행한다. 다양한 시각화 데이터를 보여줄 수 있는 다양한 모델 구축을 진행한 후 민원 신청 내용을 분석 및 변환 작업을 진행한다. 본 논문은 AI 기술과 빅데이터를 활용하여 민원을 분석을 하여 알맞은 부서에 민원을 자동으로 할당해 주는 기술을 다룬다.

  • The requirement of distributed multimedia applications is the need for sophisticated QoS(quality of service) management. In terms of distributed multimedia systems, the most important catagories for quality of service are a timeless, volume, and reliability. In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability through fault tolerance. We describe the desist and implementation of the ERA running on distributed multimedia environment ERA is a system is able to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. This paper explains a performance analysis of an error recovery system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. In DEVS, a system has a time base, inputs, states, outputs, and functions.

  • Interval caching is one of the representative caching strategies used in multimedia streaming systems. However, there has been no theoretical analysis on interval caching. In this paper, we present an optimality proof of the interval caching policy. Specifically, we propose a caching performance model for multimedia streaming systems and show the optimality of the interval caching policy based on this model.

  • 최근, 현대인들은 자동차의 성능과 기능을 뛰어넘어 좀 더 감성적이고, 정서적 만족감을 제공하는 제품을 기대하고, 원하고 있다. 감성 Information & Communication Technology(ICT)는 정보 통신 기술을 기반으로 인간의 감성을 자동 인지하고, 사용자의 감성과 상황 정보를 처리하여 상황에 맞게 적용하는 기술을 말한다. 향후 감성 ICT 기술은 인간의 감성을 인지하여 사용자와 기기가 서로 교감하는 형태인 감성 맞춤형 서비스로 발전될 전망이다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 감성 ICT의 기술 동향을 분석하고 향후 방향성을 모색하고자 한다.

Development of Web-based Multimedia Content for a Physical Examination and Health Assessment Course (웹기반의 건강사정 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

Analysis of Learning Effects According to Characteristics of Students on Project Based Multimedia Authoring (프로젝트기반 멀티미디어 저작 교육에서 학습자의 특성에 따른 성취도 분석)

  • One of the important objects in the multimedia instruction is improvement of ability to make multimedia contents. In order to achieve this goal, instructing project based multimedia contents authoring and examining the effectiveness can be contributable to enhance the instruction strategies. In this study, we analyzed the teaming effects according to characteristics of students on project based multimedia contents authoring which has performed during one semester, at a university to enrich the purpose of multimedia instruction. As the result, differences on teaming effects according to personal characteristics such as 'ages', 'admitter or not', were found to be significant in statistics. And 'interestedness in projects', 'roles in projects' also have lead to distinct differences on students' performance.
