평판 도파로에서의 체렌코프 펌프 형태에 의한 광 매개증폭 (Optical Parametric Amplification in Cerenkov-pump Configuration in a Planar Waveguide)

  • 평판 도파로에서 pump가 체렌코프 복사(Cerenkov radiation)의 파동인 경우, pump, signal, 그리고 idler 사이의 매개적 상호작용에 의한 signal의 증폭현상을 해석하였다. 결합모드 이론을 사용하여 pump의 고갈(depletion)을 무시할 수 있는 경우, 수치적 계산으로 쉽게 풀 수 있는 1차 결합모드 미분방정식을 유도하였다. 이 미분방정식의 근사해와 수치적 계산 예를 통해서 signal이 매개적으로 증폭될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • The amplification method using evanescent wave coupling has a long history and has been widely used as a new lasing method, especially, in the waveguide optics$^{(1)}$ . In particular, it has been observed experimentally that when the light wave propagating in a dielectric medium is totally reflected at the planar interface between the dielectric and a pumped active medium, the reflectance may be greater than unity, i.e., amplification is possible$^{(2)}$ . There were several attempts by other authors to explain this enhanced internal reflection (EIR) classically$^{(3)}$ . They commonly introduced a complex refractive index for the active medium with its imaginary part being negative, and this scheme was also used to describe an amplification process in a waveguide having active-cladding region$^{(4)}$ . However these theories are phenomenological, using macroscopic constants, and therefore a microscopic theory is needed to understand EIR in a fundamental level. (omitted)

  • This paper targets a direct and quantitative prediction of characteristics of unstable waves in a combustion chamber, which employs the governing equations derived in terms of amplification factors of flow variables. A freshly formulated nonlinear acoustic equation is obtained and the analysis of unsteady waves in a rocket engine is attempted. In the present formalism, perturbation method decomposes the variables into time-averaged part that can be obtained easily and accurately and time-varying part which is assumed to be harmonic. Excluding the use of conventional spatially sinusoidal eigenfunctions, a direct numerical solution of wave equation replaces the initial spatial distribution of standing waves and forms the nonlinear space-averaged terms. Amplification factor is also calculated independently by the time rate of changes of fluctuating variables, and is no longer an explicit function for compulsory representation. Employing only the numerical computation, major assumptions inevitably inherent, and in erroneous manner, in up to date analytical methods could be avoided. With two definitions of amplification factor, 1-D stable wave and 3-D unstable wave are examined, and clearly demonstrated the potentiality of a suggested theoretical-numerical method of combustion instability.

경사식구조물 오목부 구간의 파랑증폭 실험 (Hydraulic experiments on wave amplification at concave corner for rubble mound structures)

  • 평면 수리실험을 통해 경사식구조물의 오목부 구간에 대한 파고 증폭을 검토하였다. 실험에 적용된 경사식 구조물 단면은 1:1.5의 경사면에 테트라포드가 2층 피복되어 있는 형상이다. 실험파는 Bretschneider-Mitsuyasu 스펙트럼을 적용한 불규칙파를 적용하였으며, 오목부의 중심각도는 $120^{\circ}$, $140^{\circ}$$160^{\circ}$를 적용하였다. 실험결과에 따르면 오목부 구간에서의 입사파고에 대한 파고증폭비는 본 실험에서 적용한 실험조건 내에서 최대 1.5배로 계측되었으며, 상대파고비의 분포형태는 오목부의 중심에서 최대가 되고, 오목부를 중심으로 거리가 멀어질수록 감소했다 다시 증가하는 형태인 W자 형태를 나타내었다.

  • The hydrodynamic instability of the three-dimensional boundary layer on a rotating disk introduces a periodic modulation of the mean flow in the form of stationary cross flow vortices. Detailed numerical values of the growth rates, neutral curves and other characteristics have been calculated for the Type II-instabilities. Presented are the neutral stability results concerning the two instability modes by solving new linear stability equations reformulated not only by considering whole convective terms but by correcting some errors in the previous stability equations. The present stability results are agree with the previously known ones within reasonable limit. The spatial amplification contours have been calculated for the moving disturbance wave, whose azimuth angle is between $\varepsilon=-10^{\circ}$ and $-20^{\circ}$. The transition flow of the moving disturbance wave will be developed at $\varepsilon=-15^{\circ}$ and Re=352 corresponding at the growth rates n = 5.8 from the spatial amplification contours.

급경사 해저면에 대한 파랑의 반응특성 (The Characteristics of Waves on the Steep Sloping Sea Bottom)

  • This study discusses the interacting with deep water waves approaching from deep water based on the linear wave theory and steep sloping sea bottom floor by the numerical procedure. The results of particular interest are particle velocity and acceleration in x, y, z direction wave height amplification factor reflection coefficient and dimensionless pressure distribution on the steep sloping bottom with respect to the various incident wave angle. The wave loads relative to various bottom slopes, incident wave angles and wave periods on submerged breakwater and pipe are represented in comparison with mild sloping bottom the wave load parameters on the steep sloping bottom seemed to be influenced by variation of incident wave angle. In general the particle velocities and accelerations in x, y, z directions on the steep sloping bottom represented larger value or about two than those on the mild sloping bottom according to incident wave angle. However, the wave height amplification factors did not show distinct difference, but the slight variation with respect to the various incident angle showed on mild sloping bottom. The reflection coefficient increased with respect to increase of the incident angle on the steep sloping bottom the results also indicate that the very steep sloping beach produces a rather substantial amount of reflection as we expected. No significant variation of wave pressure was shown on the steep sloping bottom but it represented a certain amount of variation on the mild sloping bottom according to the various incident wave angle. The analysis at the OTEC site also showed similar results.

  • This traveling wave tube amplifier maintenance system was developed for performance of microwave Surveillance radar traveling wave tube amplification parts, and field operation. The Maintenance system is traveling wave tube amplification part RF output waveform measurement and HVPS Voltage adjustment and a maintenance function are offer. The system was developed as an embedded system base it consisted of Linux os which applied a top-down design and visual technique. Therefore change and easy extension of a system.   • 半導'||'&'||'#20307;內에서 運動하는 carrier는 Piezo 壓電物質을 進行하는 彈性波에 利得이나 損失을 줄 수 있게 된다. 本 論文에서는 半導 film에서의 drifting carrier와 Piezo 壓電 基板上을 進行하는 Rayleigh Wave間의 相互作用의 表面彈性波 增幅을 論하였다. Piezo 壓電媒質에서 表面波 의 電磁的 境界條件이 表面波 速度에 미치는 影響에 대한 式을 求하였다. 增幅에 필요한 bunching 電子 電子 散에 의해 抑制되므로 높은 周波數에서 利得의 低下를 招來하나 적당한 壓電 物質일 경우 超高周波 領域에서도 상당한 增幅이 기대됨을 알 수 있다.

직립 방파제 주위에서 파랑의 반사 및 회절의 혼합 (Combined Wave Reflection and Diffraction near the Upright Breakwater)

  • This study deals with the analytical and numerical solution for the combined wave reflection and diffraction near the impermeable rigid upright breakwater, subject to the excitation of a plane simple harmonic wave coming from infinity. Three cases are presented : a) the analytical solution near a thin semi-infinite breakwater, b) the analytical solution near the semi-infinite breakwaters of arbitrary edge angles, $30^{\circ},\;45^{\circ},\;and\;90^{\circ}$, c) the numerical solution near a detached thin breakwater the results are presented in amplification factor and wave height diagrams. Moreover, the amplification factors near the structure(2 wavelength before and behind the structure) are compared for the given cases. A finite difference technique for the numerical solution was applied to the integral equation obtained for the wave potential.

  • 경사입사파 내습시 직립구조물의 마루높이 산정을 위해 기존 연구의 대부분은 입사각에 따른 월파량 저감계수를 제시하였다. 그러나 기존 연구에서 파랑증폭과 월파의 공간적 분포는 고려하지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 직립구조물을 따른 파랑 증폭현상에 의한 월파의 공간적분포를 실험적으로 검토하였다. 실험결과에 의하면, 직립구조물 시점으로부터 유의파 파장 기준 3파장까지 구간은 직각입사와 동일한 방법으로 마루높이를 산정하고, 그 이후 구간에 대해서는 파랑의 증폭과 월파의 공간적 분포를 고려한 월파량 저감계수를 사용하는 것이 합리적인 것으로 검토되었다.
