R410A 대체냉매 적용 지열히트펌프 개발 (The development of a ground source heat pump using R410A)

  • The growth of domestic energy demand is rapidly increased for the industrialization and the improvement of the living standards. It is also recognised that the importance of the use of environmentally friendly energy and high efficient equipment. Ground Source heat pumps (GSHP) using earth as heat source or sink are outstanding environmentally friendly energy systems which have high thermal efficiency when compared to conventional heating and cooling system. So government employs a policy and increase investment for expanding renewable energy market volume. Especially is established a system for obligatory usage of renewable energy to achieve 5% renewable energy diffusion rate by 2011. And the market demand for the ground source heat pump is rapidly growing due to its strong advantages. However domestic situation usually have been depended on the import of ground source heat pumps. In this paper, the results of development of a ground source heat pump using refrigerant R410A are reported.

마이크로 휜관낸 R410A의 응축열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experiments on Condensation Heat Transfer Characteristics Inside a Microfin Tube with R410A)

  • Due to the ozone depletion and global warming potentials, some refrigerants(CFx and HCFCs) have been rapidly substituted. R410A is considered as the alternative refrigerant of R22 for the air-conditioners used a home and in industry. Experiments on the condensation heat transfer characteristics inside a smooth or a micro-fin tube with R410A are performed in this study. The test tubes 7/9.52 mm in outer diameters and 3 m in length are used. Varying the mass flux of the refrigerant and the condensation temperatures, the average heat transfer coefficients and pressure drop are investigated. It is shown that the heat transfer is enhanced and the amount of pressure drops are larger in the microfin tube than the smooth tube. From the heat transfer enhancement coefficient and the pressure penalty factor, it is found that the high heat transfer enhancement coefficients are obtained in the range of small mass flux while the penalty factors are almost equal.

세관내 R-22 and R-134a의 증발 유동양식과 열전달 (The Evaporation Flow Patterns and Heat Transfers of R-22 and R-134a in Small Diameter Tubes)

  • 본 논문은 세관(ID<7 mm) 내 R-22와 R-134a의 증발 열전달과 유동양식에 대한 실험적 연구이다. R-22와 R-134a의 유동양식을 관찰하기 위해 내경 2와 8 mm의 파이렉스 튜브를 사용하였고, 열전달 계수는 내경 1.77, 3.35, 5.35 mm의 수평 평활동관에 대해서 측정하였다. 증발 유동양식에서 내경 2 mm의 환상류 영역이 내경 8 mm에 비해 저건도 영역에서 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 내경 2 mm의 유동양식은 Mandhane의 선도와 많은 오차를 보였다. 세관(ID<7 mm) 내 증발 열전달 계수는 종래의 대구경관(ID>7 mm)에 비해 관직경에 대한 영향이 많이 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 내경 1.77 mm의 열전달 계수는 내경 3.36 mm와 5.35 mm에 비해서 20내지 30% 정도 높은 것을 나타났다. 또한 종래의 열전달 상관식(Shah's, Jung's, Kandlikar's and Oh-Katsuda's correlation)과 비교한 결과, 실험 데이터는 상관식과 많은 이탈 정도를 보였다. 따라서 실험데이타를 기초로 세관내 R-22와 R-134a에 적용할 수 있는 증발 열전달 상관식을 새로이 제안하였다.

  • Vertical closed-loop ground source heat pump systems(GSHP) have been installed widely in Korea since it can extract moderate temperature level of geothermal heat in a small area. As a ground heat exchanger, a vertical closed-loop type with brine circulation is mostly preferred since it is simple and less harmful to ground environment. However, it requires a secondary heat exchange loop between the refrigerant in a heat pump and the brine. By adding a geothermal heat exchanger in the secondary heat exchange loop, circulation pumps should be attached and the temperature difference between refrigerant and ground is increased, which are important parts of performance degradation. In this paper, annual and seasonal performances of direct expansion(DX) geothermal heat pump were estimated mathematically as an alternative of classical indirect geothermal heat pump based on the annual performance evaluation. As a result, DX geothermal heat pump showed 43% higher annual performance than the classical U-tube geothermal heat pump.

  • One of the serious challenges in developing rotary compressor with HFC refrigerant is the prediction of scuffing times and wear amounts between vane and roller surfaces. In this study, the tribological characteristics of sliding surfaces using vane-roller geometry of rotary compressor were investigated. The sliding tests were carried out under various sliding speeds, normal loads and surface roughness. During the test, friction force, wear depth, time to failure and surface temperature were monitored. Because severe wear occurred on vane surface, TiN coating was applied on sliding surfaces to prolong the wear life of vane-roller interfaces. From the sliding test it was found that there was the optimum initial surface roughness to break in and to prolong the wear life of sliding surfaces. Depending on the load and speed, the protective layers, which were composed of metallic oxide and organic compound, were formed on sliding surfaces. Those would play an important role in the amounts of friction and wear between roller and vane surfaces.

7.73 mm와 5.80 mm 수평관내 탄화수소 냉매의 응축 열전달 특성 (Condensation Heat Transfer Characteristics of Hydrocarbon Refrigerants in Horizontal Tubes of 7.73 mm and 5.80 mm)

  • 본 논문은 내경 7.73 mm와 5.80mm의 수평관내 프레온계 냉매 R-22와 탄화수소계 냉매 R-290과 600a의 응축 열전달 계수의 실험적 결과를 나타내었다. 실험장치는 압축기, 응축기, 팽창밸브, 증발기 등으로 구성된다. 응축 실험은 질량유속 $35.5{\sim}210.4\;kg/m^2s$이고, 응축온도 40$^{\circ}C$인 조건에서 수행하였다. 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 탄화수소계 냉매 R-290과 R-600a의 평균 열전달 계수는 프레온계 냉매 R-22보다 높게 나타났으며, R-600a의 평균 열전달 계수가 모든 관경에 대해 가장 높게 나타났다. 실험결과와 종래의 상관식을 비교한 결과, 모든 관경과 냉매에 대해 Haraguchi 등의 상관식이 가장 좋은 일치를 보였다. 그 중에서 Cavallini-Zecchin의 상관식은 7.73 mm 관경의 실험데이터와, Dobson 등의 상관식은 내경 5.80 mm 관경의 데이터와 좋은 일치를 보였다.

평활관 내 R32/290 혼합냉매의 증발열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental studies on the evaporative heat transfer of R32/290 mixtures in a horizontal smooth tube)

  • Because of environmental issues caused by CFC, HCFC or HFC refrigerants, new alternative refrigerants has gained a significant attention. This paper presents experimental information on heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop behavior during evaporation process of R32/290 mixtures in a horizontal smooth tube. A smooth tube with outer diameter of 5 mm and length of 5 m was selected as a test tube. Heat transfer coefficients and pressure drop characteristics were measured for a range of mass fluxes from 497 to 994 $kg/m^2s$, heat fluxes from 12 to 20 $kW/m^2$ and for several mixture compositions(100/0, 75/25, 58.4/41.6, 2s/75, 100/0 by wt% of R32/290). The differences of measured heat transfer characteristics among various R32/290 refrigerant mixtures were analyzed for various compositions.

R32 인버터 히트펌프 시스템의 성능향상에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance Improvement of an R32 Inverter Heat Pump System)

  • As global warming in recent years has raised ever more critical concern, refrigerants with high global warming potentials (GWP) are facing the challenge of being phased out. R410A, with a GWP of 2,088, has been widely used in residential air-conditioning and heat pump systems. A potential substitute for R410A is R32, which has a GWP of 675. The present study presents experimental results of an inverter heat pump system that uses R32 as an alternative refrigerant to R410A. Drop-in tests with R32 indicated that the energy efficiency ratio of the system increased by 5.3% in cooling standard mode, and by 4.2% in heating standard mode at the same capacity; and that the cooling and heating capacity increased by about 12% at the same compressor operating frequency, while the annual performance factor (APF) of the system increased by 5.3%.

  • In order to protect the environment from the refrigerant pollution, the $CO_2$ may be regarded as one of the most attractive alternative refrigerants for an automotive air-conditioning system. Control methods for a $CO_2$ system should be different because of $CO_2$'s unique properties as a refrigerant. Especially, the high-side pressure of a $CO_2$ system should be controlled for the effective operation of the system. High-side pressure algorithms, which were composed of the pressure setpoint algorithm and the pressure setpoint reset algorithm, were developed. Pressure setpoint algorithms, by using a neural network and by using a least square method, were developed and compared. Pressure setpoint reset algorithms, by using a fuzzy logic and by using a proportional logic, were also developed and compared. Simulation results showed that a least square method was more useful than a neural network for the pressure setpoint algorithm. And a proportional logic was more practical than a fuzzy logic for the pressure setpoint reset algorithm.
