이유체노즐의 액체이송공기 공급방법에 따른 어뎁터 내부유동특성에 관한 해석적 연구 (Effects of Carrier Air Supplying Parameter on the Internal Flow Characteristics of an Adaptor in Two-Fluid Nozzle)

  • The numerical simulation on the internal flow characteristics of the adaptor in a two-fluid nozzle has been performed to investigate the effects of carrier air supplying parameters using a commercial code. The four adaptor models with the different positions in the carrier air supplying port were considered at the fixed conditions of urea-water solution and carrier air supplying. As the results from the numerical analysis, the internal pressure of the adaptor was varied with the port position for carrier air supplying, and it shows lower pressure value than the atmospheric pressure. Consequently, the flowrate of urea-water solution issuing from the feeding injector with the adaptor varied up to 30% with the port positions for the carrier air supplying. When the carrier air is supplied from the side from the feeding injector axis and the upper part from the feeding injector tip, the flowrate of urea-water solution issuing from the feeding injector with the adaptor show higher value than other carrier air supplying conditions.

  • The present study conducts a series of experiments to develop a novel air supplying module for a micro fuel cell using piezoelectric linear actuator. An intermittently and operating air breathing module with reciprocating motion of the linear actuator has been suggested in the present study. A test bench for a micro fuel cell system has been constructed to estimate performance of the active fuel cell system using the air supplying module. With the stroke and operating duty as main control parameters, the optimal operating method of the air supplying module has been discussed.

  • DMFC는 산소를 반응물질로 사용하기 때문에 캐소드 전극이 외부 공기와 직접 접촉해야 한다. 그러나 휴대기기에 사용하는 경우에 사용자의 신체에 의해 공기의 흡입구가 가려져 산소공급이 되지 않는 현상이 발생할 수 있다. DMFC에 공기를 공급하기 위해 냉각팬을 사용하는데 냉각팬은 유로의 압력 손실 및 변동에 따라 출력의 변동이 심하다. 본 논문에서는 냉각팬의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 압전 액추에이터를 이용하여 공기 공급 시스템을 설계하였다. 설계된 공기 공급 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해 DMFC 평가 시스템을 구현하였고, 구현된 시스템을 통해 MP3 플레이어를 동작 시켰다.

  • The atomization characteristics of the dual air supplying two-fluid nozzle were investigated experimentally using PIV and PDA systems. The twin-fluid nozzle is composed of three main parts: the feeding injector to supply fluid that is controlled by a PWM (pulse-width modulation) mode, the adaptor as a device with the ports for supplying the carrier and assist air, and the main nozzle to produce sprays. The main nozzle has the swirler with four equally spaced tangential slots, which gives the injecting fluid an angular momentum. The swirl angle in the swirler varied with $0^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$. The ratios of carrier air to assist air and ALR (total air to liquid) were 0.55 and 1.23, respectively. The macroscopic behavior of the spray was investigated using PIV system, and the AMD and SMD distributions of the sprays were measured using PDA system. As a result, the SMD distribution increases along the radial distance, and it decreases with the increase of swirl angle in swirler.

  • This paper presents a novel optimization method for the air- and gas-supplying network comprised of several air compression systems and air and gas streams in an industrial chemical plant. The optimization is based on the hybrid model developed by Han and $Han^1$ for predicting the power consumption of a compression system. A constrained optimization problem was formulated to minimize the total electric power consumption of all the compression systems in the air- and gas-supplying network under various operating constraints and was solved using a successive quadratic optimization algorithm. The optimization approach was applied to an industrial terephthalic acid manufacturing plant to achieve about 10% reduction in the total electric power consumption under varying ambient conditions.

간헐탈진형 충격기류식 여과집진장치의 여과포 반사거리 예측 (Prediction of Off-line Type Pulse Air Jet Bag Filter Reflection Distance)

  • The purpose of this study is to predict the reflection distance following to the pulsing pressure, total air supplying, filter bag size using numercial analysis techniques and use it as an efficient operation condition and economic data for off-line type pulse air jet bag filter. In this research, filtration area 6 m2 condition, calculate filter resistance coefficient for simulation through the main experiments using coke dust. Ansys fluent V19.0 apply to CFD simulation, and analysis pulsing characteristics about pulsing pressure, filtration velocity and nozzle diameter. The maximum reflecting distance of off-line type pulse air jet bag filter is 1,000 mm regardless of total air supplying at over the 42 L/m2 conditions, that indicates off-line type can extend filter bag length 1,000 mm than on-line type. In order to effective primary and secondary pulsing of off-line type pulse air jet bag filter, over the 5 bar of pulsing pressure and over the 42 L/m2 of total air supplying are needed.

The angle of the swirl tip varied with 0$^{\circ}$ 30$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$ and 90$^{\circ}$, and the ratios of carrier air to assist air and ALR(total air to liquid) were 0.55 and 1.23, respectively. The macroscopic behavior of the spray was investigated using PIV system, and the mean velocity, turbulent intensity and SMD distributions of the sprays were measured using PDA system. As the results, the mean axial velocity at the spray centerline decrease with the increase of the swirl angle. The turbulent intensities of the axial and radial velocity were increased with the increase of the swirl angle. The mean SMD (Sauter mean diameter) of the radial direction along the axial distance shows the lowest value at the swirl angle of 60$^{\circ}$.

고속도로 요금소 부스 근무환경 개선을 위한 기류해석 연구 (A Study on Numerical Simulation for the Work Environment Improvement of Highway Tollgate Booth)

  • Simulation study has been carried out to analyze the air flow supplying from the heat pump system inside the tollgate booth by using the Phoenix computer simulation program. Through this simulation analysis we can find the problem of present tollgate booth in terms of air flow and recommend an improved model also simulate this model. Final results as follows; It was turned out that the fresh air conditioning is not provided to the worker effectively due to the improper location of inlet and outlet in the present tollgate booth in addition to that the air curtain system applied in the booth lowered air circulation from outside. The improved model was suggested first to increase the air curtain effect by downsizing the window and by installation of the air curtain suction line to reduce the induced outdoor air second to supply the fresh air to the worker directly by relocation of the inlet and outlet of supplying air. With these improved modifications better results have been reached in terms of air flow inside the booth. Next through the air flow simulation of outside booth the contaminated outdoor air has been easuily infiltrating into the booth through the window because of its rectangle shape. Stream like shape of booth has been proposed through the computer simulation as an alternative shape of tollgate booth for a new design.

  • Because of world financial crisis, The Korea domestic construction industry has been damaged hugely on material supplying work. A current domestic material supply system can't react properly on a great rise of foreign exchange rate and raw material price, so the system has a problem which is not properly supplying material. To solve this problem, a more innovative material supply work system is seriously needed than ever. So this study wants to improve material supply system for supplying material right time, right place through applying a web-based system. Applying this, overall process of material-supply-work can be done on a web-based system for immediately understanding change of ordering and warehousing by material-supply-schedule to a domestic construction field.

압축공기를 이용한 용접흄 제어용 용접면(JASM)의 개발 (Development of a jet air supplying welding mask for controlling welding fumes)

  • Controlling the over-exposure of welding fumes is not an easy problem because neither general nor local exhaust ventilation systems could be successfully applied. A jet air supplying welding mask was development to reduce the exposure level of welding fumes. The jet airs tream pushes the welding fumes away from the breathing zone by using the frictional characteristic of jet. Laboratory experiments were conducted to optimize the efficiency of controlling welding fumes. Thereafter, its performance was tested in a laboratory and an industrial field. The efficiencies of reducing the welding fume exposure were about 90% and 80% in a laboratory and an industrial field, respectively. Additionally, it resulted in elimination of heat inside the mask and enhancement of clear visuality.
