  • The setting and hardening of concrete is accompanied with nonlinear temperature distribution caused by development of hydration heat of cement. Especially at early ages, this nonlinear distribution has a large influence on the crack evolution. As a result, in order to predict the exact temperature history in concrete structures it is required to examine thermal properties of concrete. In this study, the coefficient of air convection, which presents thermal transfer between surface of concrete and air, was experimentally investigated with variables such as velocity of wind and types of form. From experimental results, the coefficient of air convection was calculated using equations of thermal equilibrium. Finally, the prediction model for equivalent coefficient of air convection including effects of velocity of wind and types of form was theoretically proposed. The coefficient of air convection in the proposed model increases with velocity of wind, and its dependance on wind velocity is varied with types of form. This tendency is due to a combined heat transfer system of conduction through form and convection to air. From comparison with experimental results, the coefficient of air convection by this model was well agreed with those by experimental results.

  • Multiplex use facility emphasized the importance of indoor air environment because many people using that place. People using parking lot of multiplex use facility in little time, but a pollutant of in indoor air menacing user health. This study measure and analyze the CO, $CO_2$ for better air quality of an indoor parking lot in the multiplex user facility. As a result, two-way opened above ground parking lot is higher numerical value of CO, $CO_2$ than an underground parking lot. And a parking lot of square form is higher numerical value of $CO_2$ than a parking lot of rectangle form.

  • In this study, we observed air temperature to make clear that land coverage condition and forest form has a certain relationship to air temperature in a day in various green space. And with revolution analysis, interpreted relationship of air temperature distribution in the green space, of land coverage rate and air temperature, of volume of tree and temperature. With this experimental result, propose green plan, taking into consideration lower effect of air temperature. In this result lower zone is formed in forest and water area, higher zone is done in paved surface and barren ground. And arbor+subarbor area, water area sur-rounded forest and small river is formed relative lower air temperature. In my opinion to promote efficiency lower air temperature area, it is need to make water area surrounded forest, to make forest form lower air temperature 2∼3 layer forest. Lower air temperature effect is in order of arbor, subarbor, shrub and is proportioned increasing of tree.

  • Fatigue crack growth rates in commercial plate of high strength Al 7075-T651 were investigated for the T-L direction in air, water and sea water. In this paper the effect of cyclic load wave-form(trapezoid and triangle) on fatigue crack growth rates in air, water and sea water environments were investigated using standard LEFM testing procedures. It was founded that the fatigue crack growth behaviors were not affected by cyclic load wave-forms. In region II (stable crack growth region), the fatigue crack growth behaviors were insensitive to cyclic load wave-forms and were sensitive to environment i.e. fatigue crack growth behaviors were higher in sea water than in air for all cyclic load wave-form. The result of fractographical morphology in air, water and sea water by SEM showed obvious dimple rupture and typical striation in air, but transgranular fracture surface in water and sea water. The values m are not affected by corrosion environments but C are different values.

  • It is known that the fluidized bed incinerator, which is the subject of analysis, shows excellent performance in heat and mass transfer due to excellent mixing and contact performance between fluidized sand and fuel, and also shows relatively good combustion characteristics thanks to good mixing and long residence time for low-grade fuels. have. In this study, air flow analysis is performed to understand the characteristics of co-firing of sludge, waste oil and solid waste in the fluidized bed incinerator, flow characteristics of flue gas, and discharge characteristics of pollutants. The fluidized bed incinerator subject to analysis is a facility that incinerates factory waste and general household waste together with sludge, with a processing capacity of 32 tons/day. to be. In addition, the operation method was designed for continuous operation for 24 hours. As a result, it can be seen that the lower combustion air and the introduced secondary air are changed to a strong turbulence and swirl flow form and exit through the outlet while rotating inside the freeboard layer. The homogeneous one-way flow form before reaching the secondary air nozzle has very high diffusivity with the high-speed jet flow of the nozzle.

  • The Queen of the Air, John Ruskin-s highly elliptical publication of 1869, elaborates a complex mythology as a way of responding to the prevalence of scientific thinking, widespread environmental degradation, the pernicious effects of political economy, and mechanistic labor. Benjamin-s desire to rescue human experience from prevailing scientific conceptions is reminiscent of Ruskin-s fear that the peculiar power that shapes the unities of the natural world is simultaneously being "beaten down by the philosophers into a metal or evolved by them into a gas" and obscured by the dreams and theories of philosophers and theologians. As a critic remarks, in Benjamin-s-and, we would add, Ruskin-s-view, "what the modern era lacked was a basis for continuity which would prevent experience from disintegrating into a desultory and meaningless series of events." Despite its frenetic hyper-associativity, then, The Queen of the Air contains a key element that Benjamin believes is necessary for "redemption": the desire for a new form of consciousness that recognizes links to the past and thus to the longings and dreams of our forebears. Thus, although Ruskin most immediately influences Proust, who in turn influences Benjamin, Benjamin-s thought is far more Ruskinian than critics have heretofore observed. Just as Benjamin helps us make sense of the ways in which The Queen of the Air is caught in the grip of the shocking associativity of modern life, so Ruskin assists us in discerning similar impulses in Benjamin-s attraction to a form of archaic consciousness that can, by altering the modern form of perception, reenchant the present.

  • This paper deals with approximate integral solutions to the one-dimensional model describing the charging process of stratified thermal storage tanks. Temperature is assumed to be the form of Fermi-Dirac distribution function, which can be separated to two sets of cubic polynomials for each hot and cold side of thermal boundary layers. Proposed approximate integral solutions are compared to the previous works of the approximate analytic solutions and show reasonable agreement. The approach, however, has benefits in mathematical difficulties, complicated solution form and unstable convergence of series solution founded in the previous analytic solutions. Solutions for a semi-infinite region, which have simple closed form solutions, give close agreement to those for a finite region. Thermocline thickness is obtained in closed form and shows proportional behavior to the square root of time and inverse proportional behavior to the square root of flow rate.

  • The compound, Ti3(Al,Si)C2, was synthesized by hot pressing a powder mixture of TiCX, Al and Si. Its oxidation at 900 and 1000 oC in air for up to 50 h resulted in the formation of rutile-TiO2, -Al2O3 and amorphous SiO2. During oxidation, Ti diffused outwards to form the outer TiO2 layer, and oxygen was transported inwards to form the inner mixed layer.

  • In this case study, the brake line failure of air over hydraulic(AOH) brake system is described. AOH brake system is applied to commercial vehicles between 5 to 8 tons. It consists of a hydraulic system using compressed air and operates the air master to form hydraulic pressure to transfer braking power to the wheels. When the brake lines of the system applied to vehicles with high load capacity are damaged, the braking force of one shaft is lost, and the braking distance increases rapidly, leading to a big accident. Failure of the brake line occurs due to various causes such as road surface fragmentation, corrosion of the line, and aged deterioration of air brake hose. The braking force could be decreased even when a very small break in the form of a pin-hole occurs. However, it is difficult to find a part where the thickness of the line is thin due to stone pecking or corrosion generated in the pin-hole formed on the brake line located under the lower part of the vehicle by the sensory evaluation or the conventional braking force test. Accordingly, it is necessary to analyze the condition and cause of the failure of the brake line more precisely when the accident investigation of the heavy vehicles, and also to examine the necessity of the advanced test for the aged brake line.
